Ordered curry sauce x2 but didn’t deliver them , shame as we order weekly from here

The Shakespeare fish bar is absolutely brilliant it was the best fish and chips I've had for a long time my wife and I had many Cod and chips and a curry sauce. When I got it home it was still piping hot the chips were a lovely golden brown the cod was well battered and and tasty. It was good that I could pay by credit card as a lot of fish and chip shops take cash only. It was a really enjoyable tea and we will certainly be going there again. Thank you to all the friendly staff Just been again today and the mini cod, chips and curry sauce was delicious. More or less cooked fresh to order. Thank you again to the friendly staff.

Food poisoning from eating from here has wiped out everyone in my household, all food was stone cold and soggy , had to call in sick to work so now I have lost money out my wage from eating from here also my children are very ill now will be going through the right procedures to get this sorted to be compensated for time lost at work also food standard needs looking at asap

Ordered from here last weekend and was hugely impressed. So much choice too. Prices are fair. Even though not my local chippie will definitely use again in preference to my local one. Just disappointing they used to be the best chippy around but in the last couple of years they have just gone downhill. tonight the food was small not large and was all over cooked really disappointed will be a long time before I order again if atall

100% happy with the service, timeliness, quality of food and I haven’t tasted any better haddock from any local chippy.

Really awful. Soggy chips, hard batter on fish and inedible cod roe(more like a mousse). Seamed to have been hanging around for a long time

I had pie and chips. Pie was as expected, but by the time I’d eaten pie I didn’t want the chips. 🍟 However I found them to be extremely palatable and I piggishly scoffed the lot. I would recommend to the owner that they cut off the high level of green on their chips as it’ll turn their customers away. The lady that served me was very polite and friendly. I asked for small chips, but I think nearing the end of opening hours, they wanted to rid a few more chips than small might suggest. I would go back, as we have lost our chippy in Wellesbourne (they lasted 2 years!). Likely only in passing and seldomly at that as I wouldn’t normally drive to Warwick for F&C.

I enjoy doner kebab but I can't have chilli and there was chilli on my kebab not a happy customer as I have a bowel condition and cannot have spicy food

Couldn’t decide between 2 or 3 Opted for based on service and friendliness. The food isn’t great, the batter is way too thick and undercooked , gloopy underneath. Chips whist not hard definitely quite pale and think, though generous amount. Will try again and hopefully give a better review.

Always use here, even since moving from Warwick, but the last two deliveries, I don’t no if it the paper or what but it all sticks to the chips and lost almost half the batter in my cod because it was stuck to the paper. Probably an easy fix they don’t no is happening. Will still be using

Decent food never had an issue until today where i spent £10 on a large mixed meat and the only thing large about it was the container! it was a small if that just placed in the bigger box

It was delayed , Chips were soggy Gravy was like water and the battered sausage was vile , I threw the lot I am fuming . My partner ate some of her kebab because she was so hungry but even she had to throw the rest away . Not happy at all and won’t be using this fish bar again , it has totally spoilt our valentines treat .

Mixed chicken meat and chips with salad in tray... Food was excellent both taste and texture... Better than all the other shops ive tried around of late... (quite a few) only thing is the portion size i had a large and it was not enough to fill me...every other shop in stuffed to bursting... Even leaving the shop it felt very light in the hand... Chips were dry and crispy and the chicken meat neither wet or oily.. It went down easily and did not leave you with indigestion... Put a bit more in the box and i would give 6 stars

It’s a nice enough place, the food was ok but nothing to get excited about, but the staff were lovely and happy to chat. If you just want some simple hot food after a long day this place does the job.

All in all a good chippy. We've been coming here for a few years now, and it's consistently good.

Arrived earlier than stated on here but that’s no complaint! Had the mixed meat wrap and hands down the best chicken and doner meat I’ve had and such a good value for money. Very good chips aswell, this is definitely my new chippy

Fantastic customer service and great chicken. Visited a couple of weeks ago and they missed part of my order. Visited this week and the staff remembered the mistake straight away and deducted off my bill.

I normally don’t buy fish from a chip shop, because I don’t like batter, I decided to try the fish as advised by a bunch of friends. I was pleasantly surprised, the batter was crispy and the large fish was really nice, no grease no soggy. Will definitely buy again

Usually a big fan of here but tonight was a disappointment. Food took 1 hour 30 to arrive. When it arrived it was cold. Asked for large chips and got small. Kebab was all over the place.

The food supplied was very tasty had the cheese burger, chicken and the mixed wrap with large chips all came nice and hot couldn’t fault it would recommend and use again

Not sure if Shakespeare has been taken over but the food just doesn’t have the same quality or quantity anymore, my fiancé ordered a large fries and was given less than a small portion, sfchicken was like it had been boiled first and then fried which was absolutely dripping in grease. My chips were dry and not tasty. It’s a real shame because it use to be good from there. Not sure if we will order again!!

Burger buns were soggy and fell apart.. large Donna was like small porition. Scallops were greesy. Disappointed 😞 as normally there okay.

Sorry but they need to change their oil more regularly and keep a separate frier for chips.

Must admit it wasn't the best fish and chips I've eaten, the batter on the fish was a little over cooked and the chips were a bit tasteless but the naan Doner kebab was lovely

The Fish was lovely (crispy batter and lovely and hot because I asked for fish and chips to be wrapped separate) sadly the chips were dreadful the decent size ones were soggy and there was a lot of small thin end of potato scraps. I ate very few of them as they were also Luke warm. Very very disappointing. I'll think twice before using again. With the price being £9.20 for the meal and a WHOPPING £3.50 for delivery I don't think it's unreasonable to expect NEAR perfection. SHAME.

Portion sizes are getting smaller - over priced, will be using somewhere else.

Up all night drinking squash, I think the pizza and mixed meat and chips needed more salt....

Gorgeous fish and chips....always perfect each time. I live a few miles from the shop but everytime the fish is piping hot. I am a regular now.

The entire meal was an abysmal. The fish was cold, the chips were cold, all soggy and glued together. I asked for salt and vinegar and didn’t get any. Even the Ben & Jerrys ice cream was uneatable as is was just like a hard rock of ice then melted. By far the worst takeaway I’ve ever had!

Food that was ordered came just right still hot to eat straight away no warming up needed very tasty good quality, driver who delivered the food to me was very polite. Would recommend.
