Shakee's Ice Cream Boat in Stratford-on-Avon

Can’t miss this boat serving ice cream in the Stratford basin area right in the centre of the town. On the day we were they it was a great!

Lovely ice cream on a lovely gorgeous day! Would definitely recommend. Situated on the river in Stratford - Upon - Avon makes a great spot for an ice cream with the family.

Bloody loud and annoying generator going ALL NIGHT - impossible to sleep on our narrowboat which is moored in the same basin. Turn the damn thing off for Pete’s sake.

In a lovely area on the canal. This area seems to be a hub for people gathering and there is a market there which is very good on a Sunday. Various flavours of ice cream. Very popular.

Not cheap we paid £3:00 per ice cream but very very nice! Good selection of flavours too. Be careful not to drop your money or card in the gap between the boat and the mooring.

The best ice cream in Stratford. We had quite a few from here. I think they had 2 boats on the water. You get a really big mr hippy style ice cream and choices of sauces and sprinkles . Really tasty you have to try one while sitting on the grass watching the world go buy.

Great ice cream, in the heart of the town and very unique and quirky. Staff friendly and tasted great!

Lovely ice cream, great service, fab location... BUT only serving in PLASTIC tubs with PLASTIC spoons with no biodegrable alternatives - REALLY? What a shame that such a wonderful service is using C.19 to revert to plastic tubs and spoons... Very disappointed. Please dont tell me it's because of health and safety because many other ice cream parlours are not using this excuse. Please change your decission to sell only in plastic - or at least let your customers decide.

An afternoon watching the world and the narrow boats go by was made even better by the close to hand ice cream boat. The ice cream was much appreciated!

Oh I love this barge! I visit Stratford Upon Avon many times throughout the year,however during the summer months I make a beeline to this wonderful boat,to enjoy the finest ice cream in the midlands. The guys who run this place are “top drawer” and their ice creams are even better!!!

Bit expensive for whipped ice like. Miserable woman on the counter.. making a fortune like that you’d think she’d crack a smile.

What a great idea! A barge selling ice cream on the canal! Superb on a summers day to enjoy and watch the world go by!

The woman running the place was expressionless and pretty rude. I could just about live with the demand for payment before you even see the ice-cream, but if you're charging top dollar for a blob of ice-cream, try cracking a smile.

A little expensive but they have a captive audience. Wide choice available. Cold drinks were actually cold a plus on a hot day.

The boats was right on the waters edge. The staff were very friendly. They were open all day. The coffee was good as well as the icecream

Was lovely being able to get a icecream and sit and watch the canal boats coming in and out of the docking area.

The ice cream boat is moored along side the canal , ideally placed where passing people can buy and enjoy their ice cream by either sitting on the grass, benches or even walk along the paths

Had the mint whippet ice cream with chocolate flake several other choices and very popular but worth trying.

Whenever I'm in Stratford during the summer months I always make a beeline for "the ice cream boat!" Great choice,pleasant staff and so so different to your normal Ice cream parlour!

Great day out with the grand children so a cornet with a flake was definitely on the list, a must on a sunny day

Just strolling along by the canal taking in the scorching bank holiday weekend weather - it suddenly became ice cream o'clock and there staring at is in all its splendour was the shakespeare ice cream barge with a plethora of swirly flavour ice creams, mint, raspberry, chocolate oooo yummy - not to be missed. enjoy.

queued to buy an ice-cream, the girl on the boat was "busy" cleaning walking up and down passed the serving hatch ignoring me and the two others stood there.

The boat thing is a novelty, but the ice cream with the flavored edges, was surprisingly good. I had the raspberry striped one, and have to admit I could have eaten another one straight away. One of the best soft ice creams I have had for years!

Visited here last week and enjoyed one of their mint swirl ice creams. The ice cream is the soft type, if that makes sense, and tasted lovely. The sun shone so it tasted even better. Worth a visit and not too pricey.

Enjoyed the ice creams , not a bad price friendly staff. Not a fan of ice cream usually but these looked inviting and was glad I did.

When we visited it was a beautiful sunny day. I couldn't pass without a cone of vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce over the top. Who Could? Absolutely delicious.

My wife had an Ice Cream from here when we were walking around the Avon & Canals in Stratford Upon Avon.

The decoration of the boat is fun if a little cheesy. Good ice cream efficiently served. I particularly like the swirl of flavours, different from the dripping sauce usually offered.

Convient and an easy stop while walking the Avon river. Price good and now wait in line...did one each of two days

We had a great time in Stratford and had twice an ice cream there! Amazing taste and very good! A place to buy it!

ice cream sold from a barge, really cute and wonderful on a hot sunny day, was a nice size not a one scoop wonder like some of the places, liked it.

Average variety of Ice cream flavours sold quirkily from a canal boat in the heart of Shakespeare hometown. A tad more expensive than from a van but i didnt need to remortgage my home in order to buy them so that was nice.

Excellent whipped ice-cream served from a canal barge close the the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Lovely on a warm, sunny day. Be careful not to drop your change into the canal basin.

We were a little disappointed with the choice of flavours but opted for a mint one in the end. Just a standard Mr Whippy type of ice cream.

A novel place to buy ice cream, it seemed odd having to lean down to order as the boat was lower than the path. The whipped ice cream was delicious creamy with a choice of plain, chocolate or raspberry ripple with or without a flake.

The Grandchildren love this. It's like an ice cream van but because it's in the water they are higher than the person serving the ice cream. The staff are brilliant and always patient with the children emptying their pocket money out.

We stopped here to grab an ice cream and was surprised to see that there were 3 flavour sauces to choose from and these came out of the machine on the edge of the ice cream. I have never seen this before so it was a bit of a novelty but a the result was a very tasty different looking frozen desert.

All looked very clean the lady running it was very efficient, and smiled. The ice cream was lovely, although she did over charge me by 30 p but hay hoe !!

I had a 'Mr Whippy' cone and flake, a '99' in old money. It was very nice and there was a selection of sauces. It was not a bad price either.

Excellent quality ice cream and lovely coffee. We went as a family as a bit of a treat and we're impressed at the variety and taste of the ices and fabulous coffee. This is a fairly new business which deserves to do. However,the downside is that it is rather expensive. Nice for an occasional treat though. Good luck.
