What can I say about Nottingham's Shakeway that hasn't already been said? Best shakes in the business - only thing that comes close to rivalling Nottingham's shakes is.... Shakeaway Leicester's shakes.... I think you get the point, c'est tres bon!

I often visit shakeaway lakeside as I like the shakes. They are rather expensive for what they are but I accept that as it’s not something we do all the time. I decided to take my eldest daughter shopping after work on a Wednesday evening and the shops are open until 10pm. At 9:45pm we made our way to shakes away after leaving Debenhams which is a 2 min walk max. We waited at the shakeaway counter whilst some customers were having their milkshakes prepared. We waited patiently for about 5 mins, staff could see we were waiting. Then a lady comes out and says sorry we are closed, tills are off. Well lady you o my just switched them off after you saw us waiting and it’s only 10 mins to 10 so you are still open. You could tell it’s not her business!! Poor services, high prices and substandard icecream and milk. Stay away people this is not a good shakeaway!!!

20 mins to wait for 3 frozen yogurts is unacceptable, store wasn't busy. When we got them, fruit for some maddening reason was stirred into the froyo meaning the whole thing turned to soup. Ridiculously expensively priced to top it all. Avoid.

Love all the options, my shake was super yummy! Reasonable pricing, nice service, reasonable wait time, and great ice cream. Was so happy to see froyo and reduced sugar ice creams on the menu!

All three of us had a different flavour milkshake and we were all very happy. Yes it was pricey, but please remember that 1) you get what you pay for, and 2) they have premises to pay for, bills and employees wages too. And it’s not like you’d be having one every day! It’s a nice little treat and kids love it (as well as me).

Visited Shakeaway and was amazed at the vast number of flavours, toppings, additions and different healthy options. I ordered a ‘Kelly’ smoothie (peach and passion fruit) and after a wait of about 5-10 minutes I received it. It was a natural looking colour and smelled lightly of passion fruit. It wasn’t chemical or additive smelling. The amazing quality reflects the price (I paid £4.79) so not a rip off. I will definitely be back here, the drink I purchased was delicious!

I went in and ordered a soya coconut and Mango shake which cost me over £5 for a regular. The only flavour I could taste was the soya not a hint of mango or coconut. Very disappointed.

Visiting Nottingham for the day we decided to treat ourselves to a milkshake. We purchased 4 regular shakes. A cadbury fudge shake, a frys peppermint a strawberry cheescake and a vimto chew bar shake. The vimto chew bar was the best and tasted nice but the other three didn't taste at all like they should so we were disappointed. After nearly finishing the shakes it all became clear that they had not been blended properly as there were lots chunks (see photo) of whatever flavour we had chosen left in the bottom of the cup hence why they didn't taste like they should! At this point we had walked quite a bit away from the store so didn't bother going back to complain plus as we had mostly finished the shakes I'm not really sure they would have done anything.

I love the shakes and frozen yogurt that they serve here, there's so much to choose from!! The service can be a little slow sometimes, but its worth the wait :)

I have to say their marketing is spot on, the kidds are drawn in with cool looking colours and images, further drawn in buy great names of shakes etc and then the up sell starts. The basic price is reasonably expensive but then you start to add what I would consider basic ingredients and the price goes up, same for toppings etc. Kids loved the product though but too dear and very slow service in my opinion

On a hot day, in a fantastic location in the Old Market Square (with or without an event/festival) on the day and you need something to quench your thirst. Shakeaway is brilliantly located and has plenty choices of milkshakes, the staff are often swamped by the huge queues that are for the milkshakes on a hot day. They do a brilliant job, the milkshake is to die for again and again. I thoroughly enjoy Shakeaway and always look forward to Spring and Summer, brilliant Only wish more opened in the city

This place is like a honey pot to the local teenagers, although it's puzzling to see why given you'll probably have quite a wait for your drink (took us 15 mins to get served), will struggle to walk away without handing over a fiver for a single drink and there is so much sugar in the mix. I'm sure the franchise owners will point out that they have an extensive menu to select from and that this places the control in the hands of the customer, but in my view, the complexity of the menu means longer queues and it really is very hard choosing something that isn't packed full of calories or slathered in cream. We were dragged in here by a pre-teen as it's apparently trendy and clearly aren't the target demographic. But if you want to understand the creeping obesity crisis, the roots are in places like this, ironic given a single drink doesn't cost much less than an hour's work at minimum wage. My advice - buy a tub of ice cream and a punnet of fruit from the market, take them home and make fresh drinks for the whole family for the price of one here........

My sons love visiting here when we go into Nottingham, so so many different flavours that they put together, they've tried so many different ones, we were there yesterday!! we do have a little wait sometimes but that's because of how popular this place is, everything's made fresh and spotlessly clean

So many choices to make your own individual shake or go for a named shake such as Co,in or Ben! Can have ice cream or frozen yoghurt.

I'd just been to the gym and fancied a cool treat, I was on my way to MacDonalds and i saw "frozen yoghurt" so went inside, they have sooo many different options and the frozen yoghurt with strawberries was amazing, refreshing and healthy! Bit expensive but most places are, it's good for a treat.

Often have to queue - but that proves they are good. Everything from healthy milkshakes such as strawberry frozen yogurt - to just about anything you could possibly think of putting in a milkshake!

Came here craving a peanut butter milkshake after my disappointing meal at Ed's Diner had sold out. There is a massive selection, tried the peanut butter and it was delicious, will definitely come back to try some of the others. The staff were friendly too.

I came in with my toddler and I asked for something not to sugary. They pointed at the menu and said that smoothies are the best option, the price was pretty steep but I saw that as a sign of the amount of fresh ingredients used. On the menu it said that smoothies were the healthier option. In my dictionary a smoothie is fruit and maybe some yoghurt but not much else. At Shakeaway it is sugar syrup, water, ice cream, sugar syrup and a tiny bit of fruit. It has nothing to do with a smoothie, it is almost undrinkable sweet, not suited for toddlers and definitely not healthy. I had no time to complain.

Queued 25 minutes, expensive, dogs on sofas, dirty tables everywhere, understaffed, overcrowded. Been here before many times, this is the worst it's been. Just not very impressive for the price, location, setting etc. Either be premium, or mediocre, but don't try both please. Kids said it wasn't better than Gregg's, but it was cold and double the price.

Previously have had very good food from here but recently quite a disappointing experience. Food was very lazily assembled and packed when delivered. Also portions have gotten a lot smaller for the same price. Tastes decent but not as worth it as it used to be.
