Shake & Cake in Waveney

Lovely community run village pub.

It's a great cafe, just across the road from the pier. Visited today for some lunch and we had a Ham and Cheese Toastie and a Ham and Cheese Panini. Both were nice and tasty. Would recommend. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent.

Came upon en route back to where we were staying. Adams pubs are always 👍 As non-locals we felt a little unwelcome. No greeting/smiley face when we sat at the bar. We asked if there was a table for 2, and they did clear a 4 and split it for us 😁 Food was good. My friend had the Pork and said was best she had. I had falafel and was stuffed. However, wasn't asked if I wanted any sauces with my chips. Chips were also a little cold and not crispy. Atmosphere OK. Didn't feel staff going above and beyond or friendly. It's a good pub if you're looking for some decent Adnams and grub. Just needs a little more customer care.
