Shahi Balti in Wolverhampton

I used to use this takeaway after the Bantock Balti closed and it was just about OK but no great shakes. Went in tonight and ordered a Tikka MAIN and some pappadums. Came to nearly a tenner. Got home and opened lid and there were 8 TINY pieces of chichen. Phoned to say they had given me a starter, but they said no the amount was correct!! Told them I'll NEVER be back again. Wasn't even tasty and pops were not fresh. Absolute RIP OFF. You have been warned!!

Brilliant food with fast delivery and great service. I placed an order of curry’s and naan not only was it fast the food was amazing

I have ordered many times before from this place and they have always met my standards. The quality of the food is always good and it has not been a disappointment. Delivery time is good and i have never had to wait more than the time needed. Will come back again here.

Ordered a balti with rice onion bhajees and naan, with the usual extras of popadomas, dips ect ...the wait was not too long for it to arrive, delivery driver pleasant, as usual we tipped. However, when I started eating my onion bhajee, I come across a long black hair in my mouth, straight away I vomited. I was absolutely dumbfounded, the hair was long and black cooked through the bhajee. I immediately rang the restaurant for a woman to answer, who couldn't be bothered, I asked for the manager and it was the same woman who came back on the phone, I said "you're the same person. The person who I eventually spoke to after 1 and half hours is a man who decided he is chef, manager and owner...when asking his name he went errmmmm. Suspicious... unbelievable. The man and driver came to our door and said sorry, but very intimidating, they came into our house, the owner/chef/manager decided he was selective in English, when I asked him, do your staff wear hair nets, he said there is a man with long hair. " do you date your food in your fridges" he didn't answer. after I had asked him how many fridges do you have.. this establishment needs looking into, I would advise everybody not to eat here. We will be going to the environmental health, he said something on the way out, but we reminded him we have CCTV.

This is a great local takeaway near my home. I had Chicken Madras with pilau rice and vegetable samosas. My nephew had tandoori chicken masala with pilau rice and onion bhajis. We had poppadoms and mint sauce as well. We were given a side order of Bombay potatoes for free to try and they were delicious. They really do make a most wonderful curry. The best in my area.

ordered food then an hour later got a call to say the driver was in the wrong place. had the phone put down on us, phoned back to then find out the driver hadn't even left the shop. 1 hour and 15 mins later still no food so cancelled the order. avoid unless you want to be messed around

Terrible terrible service ordered food way over a hour ago to be called asking the postcode again waited even longer so we called to ask if the food had even left they told us another 20mins which we wasn't happy about we had the phone put down on us twice too which resulted in us having to phone back twice disgusting customer service!! cancelled order and will make sure myself or none of my family and friends order from this place again my sister in law was looking forward to this for her birthday meal with family to then be let down with poor customer services and no meal!! Do not recommend!!!

Absolutely gawgus food!!! Karachi chicken, chicken bhuna,2 x keema naan and pilau rice...£21 inc delivery..... The quality is great, tastes lovely.

It was supposed to be ready at 1740 but I had to wait 20 minutes in the shop and got my meal after 6pm. If I had wanted delivery it would have got to me sooner

Food was rubbish and uncooked. Called the restaurant, member of staff don’t know how to handle the complaint. Keep on passing the phone.

We have been using Shahi Balti for years now and wouldn't use anyone else. Staff are pleasant and if you go to collect the kitchen and waiting areas are immaculate. Food is absolutely perfect , good quality produce is used. Thoroughly recommend using them.

Food was cold when got here even though only ordered it half hour before plus two pieces of chicken in the curry

The food tasted really nice. However we had chicken korma and chicken jalfrezi which both only had 5 pieces of diced chicken breasts in. So imagine sharing that between 4 people! Apart from the lack of meat the rest of the food was enjoyable especially the meat biryani

The driver was polite, the food arrived 10 mins early and was lovely and hot, only point would be the chips could have been a little more well done as were a tad soft/soggy rather than crisp but everything else was bang on and beautiful would definitely order again 👌

The food was on time. It was a little on the small side and wasn't really hot. That said it was quite tasty.

The food came on time, in fact it may have been slightly earlier. Poppadoms were really nice. When we went to get our main meal there was grease and sauce from the curries all over the containers. I had Dopiaza, my partner had Tikka Masala, we shared onion rice and chips then had a naan bread each. My Dopiaza was very bland with no spice at all, my coriander and chilli naan was okay but nothing to rave about. My partners Tikka Masala was nice, lots of flavour and his naan bread was nice. Onion rice was really nice and so were the chips. I would order from there again and maybe try a different dish.

The food is always great from here. I can't say I am ever disappointed. Had a friend over for dinner and he is very critical about food. He was licking his fingers and that's a first. Would recommend to anyone

Unfortunately the food was extremely poor tonight, the prawn cocktail sauce was like cement and tasted like a bottle of vinegar had gone into it. The prawns had black all over them. The naan bread was cold and chicken had a rubber texture. No point In contacting company as only offer discount on next order, which I will not be doing.

Got salmonella from this place. Been up the hospital twice since Friday. Called to let them know and their response was to put the phone down on me and be extremely rude. Don't eat from here!!

Arrived one hour late. Driver said the chef told him to tell us they don't deliver this far anymore (15 min drive), get off just eat then!!

From placing the order to deliver took 1.5 hours. way too long!!! improvement required.....

Driver was told by the manager to tell me not to order again due to being around 4 miles and my order might not be on time chicken tikka was a little rubbery curry was fine chips where like fries cold and threw most away I live in the dy3 area either remove yourself off just eat in this area or put on a delivery price either way I’m done with the places making the poor driver explain instead of either not accepting my order or phone me

Without a doubt the worst food we have ever ordered. It was inedible. Straight in the waste disposal. Cold grissly and colours ive never seen before. Madras had no spice. Chicken appeared to be precooked chicken. Off out to chip shop now

Main courses were excellent but popadums were stale

Food was 15 minutes late so was waiting well over an hour. First issue was the food was thrown into the bag so curry's had leaked out into the bag. Onion bhajis were dry and hard and hardly any taste in rice. This is the second bad experience in a row so won't be using again.

Food quality was very disappointing I’m sorry to say. Chicken was very over cooked and sauce lacked flavour. This is usually my favourite Indian take away and normally everything is great, but the standards have really dropped this time ☹️

Tastes like it was cooked few days before

I had my food delivered. First thing that I noticed was it was 100% FRESH. I ordered butter chicken and pilau rice. The chicken was mouth watering and tender. The sauce was just lovely not too heavy. The rice cooker to perfection. Prices are very fair and I will use them again. Also will recommend to family.

Excellent quality for the price again. The pasta Masala was also very interesting, would be even better with chicken though 😊

Fantastic Korma and Balti. poor quality chips and poppadums - stale. Dhansak and Jafrezi were far too hot and inedible. Good tandoori dishes

no cans delivered when we rang em they said delivery man would return with them as they were given to him to give to us in the first place. then he returns with just one when we had paid for two!!! i know its only cans of pop but if they do that to every customer theyll be ripping off people for loads altogether not amused at all

ordered at 8pm, arrived at 9:20pm for a text to say on its way at 8:45pm. Poppudoms burnt and tasteless, curry dishes lacked depth and tasted weird! Called restaurant about imminent delivery however after 30mins called restaurant, told them I wouldn’t be using them again and they told me to put the phone down. Would not recommend,both curries tasted strange and lacked depth of flavour of true Indian cooking passion and flavour!

Second time eating from here and plenty more to come! Currys have loads of meat in all really tender & tasty! Prawns in prawn cocktail are tasty & you get loads! Food is amazing value for money!
