Deadest takeaway, Workers under the influence of alcohol. The chicken had no taste Honestly such a let down as you could taste nothing but tomatoes horrendous! The old man was clearly high on cannabis as u could smell it.

Ordered online & it asked for my home address assuming it was going to be delivered, no where stated they didn’t do delivery. Had already pre paid & no one thought to call to see if I was collecting the order so food was cold by the time we got it.

Worst takeaway ive had in years over cooked chicken and tasteless sauce

When did anyone put hot Chilli in a meat Samosa, I have had them from here many times, can't have Chilli but who ever is making these, they are not authentic. Chapati cold under cooked and greasy, really upset my stomach.

I’ve been coming here for many years never had a issue, but lately a new lad has took over, since he’s been there the place has gone down in my eyes, he’s service is nil, he gets your order wrong every time I’ve been which is disappointing I’m done never going back 😡

Really nice curries, chapatis were delicious and fresh. Pilau rice could've been a bit better overall. Update: since last 2 orders we've had missing food items, which is a shame since youre basically paying for stuff you never receive. Not good enough really. Please can you introduce going through the order in the bag with the customer to show they've gotten everything they've paid for??

If there's a shortage of oil in this country, the Shabna have it all. The good is too oily and most of the chicken pieces are the parson's nose end (the chickens derriere). The chicken is tough and chewy. £32 wasted.

Been to Shabna regularly since moving to the area, have tried the other Indians in Monton and would rate this the best. Only downside is recent orders (From May 2023) have started to become more oily and spilling out in the bags before opening.

Mixed kebab was just excellent. Went in for a curry, but was tempted by a mixed kebab. Got five different items, salad and sauce. Brilliant!

Best Indian in Monton, and I’ve tried them all, multiple times to make sure!

Ordered online using their convoluted ordering process. Managed to get a completed other, card charged, however when I arrived there was no sign of my order being taken. I showed them the order on their own website, and the money cleared from my account, I waited a few moments of them going on the back and then I was handed a mobile phone to speak with a random person who claimed that I input my address details wrong (for a collection order) so the money was not taken. I had heard good things about Shabna, but having seen one of the staff members pick a sheek kebab out of the frier basket with his bare hands and put it into a customers container, I'm massively relieved that the other didn't complete. Just checked and they're rated 1 for food hygiene. Absolutely not a surprise at all.

We were in the area and due to the good star rating walked in to order a takeaway. It was around 5pm on a Monday. I walked in with a smile and a friendly hello! The man taking the orders was so ignorant. Never looked up or returned/acknowledged my greeting and grumbled ‘have you ordered?’ I said no, he fumbled for his pad like I was a total inconvenience! I did an about turn, customer service, or total lack of it means I cannot comment in the curry. Civility costs nothing and this man needs a lesson in manners and customer service. I will never cross that doorstep again and I can see from other reviews I am not the only one. There wasn't an option for zero stars!

Never had a bad bit of grub out of here. Order is always spot on and quick, the boys are sound out and the passanda is a whopper. 12/10

I've been using this takeaway for over 30 years and it's always been one of the best in the North West but recently it's not been the same. Perhaps its a new chef ? The Madras sauce is different , the chips undercooked ( although they used to be burnt to a cinder ! ) Chicken and lamb tikka plus the sheek kebab were as tough as old shoe leather although the tandoori Chicken was ok. Overall very disappointed. I will still give them another chance though just to see what it is like next time.

My favourite curry place in Salford. The food is always prepared quickly and is delicious. Shab has a tandoori oven which smells amazing (we live round the corner and so can smell it most days) and it makes for the most delicious naans!

As the title says, just poor. Food wasn't great, passable, but really poor attitude from some of the staff. Better places up the road.

I've just purchased from this take away some lamb chops and chicken wings all I can say is they was disgusting they had no meat on them and the meat that was on them had the texture of a Dunlop tyre the only nice thing was tge free poppadoms very poor food and I will be never using them again

It's been a while since we've had a takeaway from Shabna Monton and we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious, especially the chicken tikka. Portion sizes were excellent and the complimentary poppadoms were a nice touch. Great service and a covid secure collection. Thanks to all the team and see you again very soon!

Takeaway for me and my husband. Starters and mains spiced to perfection, so tasty. One of the sauces with the popadoms was beautifully spiced, not sure if it was spicy mango. Large portions and absolutely delicious, the best Indian I've had in a very very long time.

We have been customers of the Shabna and Naz for I think approx 20 years. Never have I received such blatant poor service. I arrived on time time collect our online order. Welcomed in the usual friendly way and acknowledged as waiting to be served. I could see orders ready and waiting to be collected, but as I wasn't handed any of them, I assumed mine was waiting to be finished. I was happy to wait as it was being cooked and understood that times are different now. Staff, including the manager, continued to cook and complete orders, bag them up and hand them to customers waiting and a new walk-in, 3 orders were handed out. A telephone order was then taken, a bit of chat amongst the staff - then the manager casually picked up a bag that had been sat there the whole 15 minutes that I was waiting and handed it to me - I queried why he had left it out sat there the whole time - he shrugged, didn't care. I got home to see the order spilt all over the bag inside (having kept it straight in the car on the journey home). I don't think we'll be back.

I used to use this takeaway regularly and found the owner and staff friendly. However, the owner was very rude when I collected my order this time. Dismissive and talking to the person behind me in the queue. It appears that your custom only counts if you're a regular! How rude. Will be trying somewhere else.

It seems they are more interested in the renovations than the cooking. We had a takeaway , which they got wrong as they were talking to someone else whilst trying to take an order. However the meal and starters were stale and very very bland. I have never had a currr6 that tasted more like a sauce than a curry. King prawns were also not fresh, onion bahjis were ‘chewy’ popadoms melted under the sauces, forgot the chapati etc etc etc

5 times now I have ordered food and got home to discover either wrong order or food missing from the order. They won’t offer refund just “ a free curry next time you come in” how would they remember . Poor service and food not great .

We have been visiting the Shabna for years and it has become our family's tradition to order a take away from here on New Year's Eve. From experience we have found it gets really busy and they are inundated with telephone and on line orders as the night goes on so we made a point of ordering in person at the counter early on, and our meal was ready in 20 odd minutes. Our other experience is that as they get busy there are sometimes mistakes with the orders so we usually check everything is right before leaving. No issues this time and we were quickly home to tuck in to what is still one of the best curry experiences around. As well as the usual poppadoms, onion and chutney or starters included chicken pakoras, onion bhaji, shami kebab and a mixed starter. Mains included Kormas, tikka masala, madras and samber dishes with rices and breads. All extremely tasty and too much to finish, so were saved for a further treat over the following days. Excellent food as ever and will be returning for many more years to come.

yet again the shabna fails to provide. After gettig home with expecton glee, and anticipating a lovely meal from the shabna in monton. i always seem to fall short with the content. Aftr ordering a a curry, let,s face that,s what they do, i end up with nothing but a starter, popadoms and such. But where is the curry. Non existent. I paid for it,so where is it. Yet again missing the main. Done again. The isn,t the first time this has happened. Well i have had enough. If you anticipate going for a curry at the Shabna, check you,re bag bag before you leave. I understand that they maybe busy at times, but to leave a customeer with the goods as described is unforgivable. Thanks for taking my cash, i would to comment on the curry and how tastey it was but, you didn,t leave with one to taste.

What a disappointment! The order was wrong. Wrong curry, wrong naan bread, wrong dips. What did they get right? The madras had never seen a chilli and we specifically asked for it extra hot, and this was repeated back to us. It had the heat of a korma! I have made better curries myself! It’s safe to say we will not be going back to Shabnas I’m afraid. So disappointed!!

We fancied a Takeaway so we decided to have a curry from Shabna, my partner had a Lamb Ocabi & I had a Chicken Bhuna they were both delicious, we are definitely going there again Lovely.

We had just moved to the area and was chatting to a colleague who doesn't live nearby but raved about the indian and travels all the way to get it because it's the best there is. We tried it and were not disappointed. The price was also great and generous portion sizes!

Una de mis visitas a lugares donde puedo estar seguro de un buen curry. Recientemente, han introducido pedidos en línea, lo cual es genial, aunque sin problemas a veces, ya que es difícil navegar por el sitio hasta que lo haya usado un par de veces. Nunca hay que esperar mucho después de haberlo pedido y la comida se está calentando cuando llega a casa, por lo que no se ha mantenido por mucho tiempo. El personal es muy amable y nada es demasiado para ellos si tiene alguna petición inusual. El único inconveniente es que no ofrecen entrega, lo que me parece inusual en estos días, pero bueno, estoy a solo 5 minutos en el auto, así que no es un gran problema. El menú es extenso y una buena selección de especiales si quieres probar algo diferente. No he tenido una mala comida de allí hasta ahora!

Had chicken balti with chips (£7.50), added naan bread and onion bhaji, was charged £14.50!!! Should have been about £10. Not impressed. Will go to other Indian takeaway on Monton Rd next time.

Wanted us gone no sooner than we’d arrived. Rude obnoxious owner. Food was ok, but maybe tainted by our experience in the place itself. Would recommend elsewhere.

Called for a small takeaway, very rude staff, no please or thank you, I felt I was in the way. Madras sauce was more like a Campbell's tin of condensed tomato soup with some spices thrown in, not even any fresh coriander on the top. Sheek kebabs were tasteless with hardly any spices, tasted better Wall's sausages than this. Not been here for years and will definitely not be returning, takeaway menu now in the Blue bin!!

Mi novio y yo teníamos una llevar el viernes por la noche y era preciosa. No suelen poner nada en particular, porque nunca hemos tenido una mala comida de aquí en 10 años! El Viernes nos fuimos con un Karahi y Makhani, con un naan peshwari, poppadums bajis y cebolla. Siempre nos encanta estar aquí, y el servicio es genial cuando vas a recogerlo. Gracias de nuevo.

Great food, good service and excellent value

Desde que nos tomamos unas copas. La comida nos apetecía. Visitado. 12 30:00 pm. Incluso nos dio un consejo un consejo via tarjeta! Sin embargo, como volver a casa cuando la apertura para llevar a darse cuenta que tenía maravillado pagar 2 libras por ordinario todo! No hay propina propina y dado! Comí en mi propia rtime y llamaba. No hay respuesta. No simplemente comer responder. ! Fue terrible!

Really disappointing food from the Shabna.All chicken tikka should be cooked fresh to order in the tandoori, it takes minutes!! It was obviously heated up in the microwave, poppadom tasted of rancid fat, chips were obviously deep fried then reheated. The naan bread was doughy and was not risen properly.I feel sorry for people who think this is good food.

I got three chicken tikka kebabs from here, the chicken was really soft but the naan breads, wow they were so thick and doughy and didnt really taste of much plus extremely soggy. So i went for the free poppadoms after having enough of my doughy sandwich and they tasted disgusting, the oil in the fryer most definitely needed changing. Also asked for salad on all kebabs got a few diced cucumber and bit off cabbage so had to slice my own! Definitely not impressed could of made better myself.

The food at this takeaway is always excellent traditional Indian at its best I used to live near but now travel from Northwich with my partner who also loves the quality of the food the service is very good and you can have a brew and the cooking is all done in front of you while you wait

In fact I remember just before it opened I used to visit the long gone Selina in Eccle's where one of the waiters (now owner) once worked. I recall he asked me where would be a good place to open a takeaway. I gave him a few ideas but it did not include Monton. I also recall that this takeaway was the first place in the UK to feature an open kitchen.Week after week I have been going there without any disappointmentThen after a change of job and moving abroad for almost twenty years I always longed for my Shabna Curry. Every time I came back (which was not so often) we always headed to the ShabnaNow back in the UK my Wife and I visited the Shabna and after many years of absent ism to our surprise all the staff still knew us and by name. They were very happy to see us and still remembered my favourite dish - Bhindi BhajiWe ordered our takeaway, same as the lsat 25 years or more and we are still not disappointed by the consistency of quality, taste and flavours. Everything top notch, just as it used to be and still isIf you have never tried the Shabna - do it now. You will never ever be disappointedHere's looking forward to my retirement and many years to come of good satisfying food. Keep it up boys

I've been going here for over 25 years and it's always been good. Ok , on a couple of occasions they have missed items from my order or the chips have been burnt but it has been pretty consistent in all the time I have been going and I have had enough free items to compensate for the missed ones. The manager is the most friendly person you could meet. Well worth a visit , I just can't belive it has the same owner as The Naz over the road about which I wrote a most unfavourable review a while back.Here's to another 25 years of visits !

Never disappointed by Shabna curries - it's definitely the best in Monton and possibly Eccles too. Downside - they don't deliver :( Here's hoping they will do one day... excellent food though and would definitely recommend. Especially the lamb methiwala.

1st time customer and Very dissapointed,. Onion barghi, califlower barghi, cheese nan, all missing from our order. Food was very bland NO spice in food.. Phoned up to complain and they were not interested. Very poor experience, they have lost our custom.
