Thank you to the amazing lady that served us yesterday for my daughter's 18th birthday! Nothing was too much trouble. The lady was fantastic with my daughter's grandparents with jokes and banter. Fantastic time. Thank you😄

Great spot for some cocktails pre night out and a spot of something to eat too. If I could have I would have had every cocktail on the menu and the steak frites was one of the best I've had.

Me and a friend came here for our first cocktail night since covid. The staff were so lovely., we were served by three staff members and they all made sure we felt comfortable and constantly came back for orders. The food and drink were delicious and massive portions for the money. Especially hats off to the girl in the cow print flares who was super chatty and advised on where to go after. A lovely place would highly recommend.

We visited today after booking online. There were 4 adults and 2 toddlers. We had a brilliant time! The atmosphere, food and drinks were all amazing! The staff were all very friendly and they all spent time chatting and interacting with our boys. We will definitely return, it’s such a cool and funky place. Thanks guys!

Wow, what a fab place! We visited this afternoon for a few cocktails after a recommendation from a family member, and we were not disappointed!We didn’t have food but stopped by for a drink, we ended up staying for a few! The cocktail list was fab, and great to see lots of different cocktails on the menu other than just your “standard” cocktails. We really enjoyed trying something different, in particular the Blowing Bubbles!Cocktails made to a really high standard and reasonably priced.... also loved the presentation of the drinks (see photos!)A great atmosphere, loved the palm tree decor! Staff very friendly and welcoming, all COVID guidelines in place, thanks for a fab afternoon we will definitely visit again sometime in the near future! :-)

Just happened to find this place , what a surprise. Friendly staff and good food. Unusual decor , it’s like a street in Miami

Walked in at 1pm with my father and were told we were the second table of the day. After being ushered to a table we were left to look at the menu for 5 mins even though we had already said we only wanted a pint each. 5 minutes later I asked which specific Aspall cider they had as the menu didn't specify, the server did not know and told me I was asking the wrong person, which isn't excatly great product knowledge anyway. 5 minutes later we still hadn't received our pints and left. By the time I was in another pub (a 5 minute walk away) with a pint on the table I received a phone call asking where I was and that my beers had been put on the table, after telling whoever it was that I wasn't happy with the service and didn't want to spend my money in their establishment, I was laughed at as I hung up. Awful service, won't be going back.

Love this place! Amazing atmosphere, food & drinks. Love the decor, major holiday vibes! I always have steak, chips & cheese sauce which is my favourite. Would definitely recommend!

Situated just over the Welsh bridge away from the town centre, this hidden gem is a great place to get away from the hustle of the centre with great burgers on offer.I have often visited here when there is a big football game on due to the number of screens available, particularly within the booths. Booking in advance always guarantees a seat for big games on super Sunday.The food available is a great concoction of burgers, including a Krispy Kreme burger which was surprisingly delightful. The onion rings can be ordered in height and the portion size is plentiful.

Loved drinking cocktails in the winter garden full of fake palms and stylish murals. Although foreign travel is limited this year, I could feel like visiting a tropical paradise while sitting on a beach chair and sipping on fancy drinks. Funky and stylish, great music and the staff was just brilliant. Definitely will be back.

Myself and 3 friends popped in for mid afternoon snack. We had wraps and filthy fries, really tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back

Booked a table for drinks with some friends. The whole experience was amazing.Seated by a clearly stretched floor team, but they seemed super happy to see us. Holly was our server and I've quite honestly never seen anyone seem so genuinely happy to be at work as she was. She quite honestly made 6 lager drinking lads happy to be there.We were drinking but I fancied some food. I had the katsu curry wings. And tbh, they were the best wings of my life. Unreal. I'm a chef with a large back ground in food and these were something else.Holly again cleared us quickly and was happy to encourage us to chill with a few more beers.The whole business followed covid guidelines well, but make no mistake, the staff and food were the highlight.Thank you

Stopped by on a Monday and there was an offer on of burger (including fries) and a drink for £10. Food was great, especially the ‘frickles’ we ordered as a side. Really friendly service - couldn’t fault it.

Decided to visit after all the regular adverts on social media for the unlimited wings Tuesday to find at 7pm they had sold the last ones?? (Place was very quiet) What if the last table wanted more of the ‘unlimited offer?? Advert was on Facebook 3 hours prior to our visit. Went for the beer and a burger £10 deal on a Monday. We added wings and it was so much food! Very indulgent but great value and they have an interesting selection of beers.

Went on a Monday and was told of a new deal - any drink(alcholol included) burger and fries for £10. Over £20 normal price.Food was fine - order a bit muddled up. Wrong chips on one but others soon brought out, a well done burger was pink so sent back, and one of our group was missed out during the ordering process! But we were so impressed by the value we didn't complain.Water came to the table without asking, which was good. All the drinks ordered were correct, just the food a bit muddled.Food was generally very good - big burgers and hearty portions of fries. Cheesy fries were yummy. We could have done with the music being turned down a notch as we struggled to hear each other, and it was quite dark in there so reading the menu was tricky.But overall great Monday value and it has its own parking, how convenient.

NO WIFI AT ALL... !! Stayed here with my Husband while he was on an annual conference. Hotel would only issue 1 key..which was impossible for us to organise as the outside door of the hotel also needed a separate key. I asked for hair conditioner and the Manager bought me some mens radox shower gel..! ha ha..! We checked out after one night as one key meant I had to stay awake until 2am to let my Husband in...and I had to get up to go to work at 6am..! stupid rules. small room. bad water pressure and

We were a group of 6 ladies starting our night out with some food, and all of us were really impressed. The food was delicious (although portions were too big for me, but as they gave me a doggy bag I was quite pleased with that!), drinks were great and service was excellent. I had the poutine, halloumi bombs and they did me some stuffing too! Yum.

We turned up on a Friday night, me and four friends, and requested a table for 5 people (we hadn’t booked). The guy who we dealt with was slightly rude and unapproachable in stating that they were fully booked and if we wanted to eat we had to sit in the bar. Which was fair enough as we hadn’t booked and we knew this might happen. As we made our way into the bar we walked past a few other members of staff, one of which I heard mutter “they do realise there’s no tables in the bar don’t they” which she said in a very sarcastic manner. We decided to leave after hearing this as they definitely weren’t worth our custom. Although we never got round to trying the food, if that’s what the service entails, I don’t think i will return in the future.

I love coming here to watch the football and grab a burger, their new deals are amazingly good value and the burgers are really high quality both chicken and beef. I also adore the frickles.

Had followed Severn Social for a long time on Facebook when a post for halloumi bombs popped up. Decision to have a meal was made. From the outside it looks quite dark but pleasantly surprised. We were acknowledge quickly & shown to a booth towards the back. Lots of lighting, space & eclectic deletion of music playing. The menu is not fancy, the loads and loads to choose. Our drinks & food order were taken promptly. With being our first visit we weren’t sure on portion size so went a bit OTT.The food arrived in good time & blimey! It was a taste sensation. The burgers were fresh..so juicy & cooked to perfection, the onion rings were massive & the halloumi bombs just perfect. A fabulous meal. We were well & truly stuffed (no room for pud). We will be back again, I’m just sorry we hadn’t been sooner. excellent value for money. Thank you to the staff who were polite, attentive & down to earth. Big thank you too Ryan(?) for making us feel so welcome. See you again soon!

Stayed in the extension part of the building, beautiful decor and well set out. Very modern amenities and bathroom was lovely. Would recommend and definitely stay here again myself. Parking kind of tricky to find, under a tunnel to the side and rear of the building but so cool, and pretty safe. From what i saw from posters, they do street parties in the tunnel, looks SO COOL! Would love to go to one. Highly recommend this hotel for a weekend stay in this beautiful area.

The hotel is very basic, in a hard to find spot, above a bar. Parking is accessed through a secluded entrance, and tucked to the back of the hotel, really badly sign posted.

Ideal for exploring the town as it's only a five minute walk from the centre. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The one major downside for me was that our room - which was single-glazed - overlooked the very busy and noisy main road.

Having visited a few times mostly to watch the football this time was just as good as the rest having the usual chicken wings and 3 cheese chips which are both to die for, this time brought my sister and her boyfriend who were visited they both loved it and will be bringing more friends. Can't wait for the next time!!

Fantastic food but the service was lacking slightly. We definitely went off peak as we were the only customer so I think the lack of atmosphere may have had something to do with it. Would definitely go back!

Me and my husband had food here whilst staying overnight in Shrewsbury we can honestly say the burgers are the best we've ever eaten . We also had the dirty fries and Mozerella sticks along with cocktails. If we are ever near Shrewsbury again we will definitely be calling in here again .

We've just come back from a 2 night stay here.

We came here for a one night stay and it was perfect for what we needed. The outside of this building doesn’t do the inside any justice. The room is clean and fairly new, I loved that you had a fridge in the room. The bar downstairs served amazing food I had the salt and pepper wings and my partner had the burger, we tried the cheesy fries and 1 batch was enough for two. I love the location right in the city center, and with parking is amazing, you don’t usually get that in a city center. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay for a few nights in the city.

This is one of my favourite places in Shrewsbury. There are 8 main screens and individual screens in the booths. The burgers are exceptionally good! This pub can be very busy when major sporting fixtures are on. The beer selection is fairly limited, but little touches like popcorn is a good idea.

Good value if rather basic. Unusual not to do breakfast! The facilities were simple rather than voluptuous although comfortable enough. The welcome was very informal and there was never any paperwork / odd.

One happy customer. Easily the best burger I’ve had and was exactly the same on second visit so it wasn’t just a lucky day. Great place and decent prices.

Stayed here for 1 night during half term holiday. Basic but nice spacious double room with decent size ensuite. Bed was really comfortable. On-site parking behind hotel & cost was excellent considering it was half term & other hotels in the area charging double per room. Easy check-in/out system a bonus too. Would definetly stay here again .

Food was pants, although would recommend the chips but burgers and nuggets weren’t up to much. Flat Diet Coke, still flat when complained and given a new one

I was at Shrewsbury for the Christmas farmers market so I just had to come here and see if the name lived up to the hype ?

Terrible experience. Hotel took an additional amount of money out of my account on top of what I paid with booking.com, didnt sleep much during night because of traffic going past hotel all night long, freezing cold shower in the morning, absolutely no hot water left at 7:30am, complete joke, no member of staff around to inform because reception closed in the morning. Informed hotel after stay but didn’t seem bothered.

Booked this hotel with friends, three couples in total, and can honestly say it was fab, beautiful rooms and a good atmosphere, even the moody blonde waitress didn’t spoil it, right in the middle of Shrewsbury, would highly recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights over the first weekend in November due to him fishing a match over the weekend.

Visited here twice in recent weeks. The first with a large group of colleagues, hadn’t booked and arrived at 4pm, managed to get a table big enough, drinks and food service was speedy. The food was amazing and despite not having a burger on this occasion I couldn’t wait to return the moment I left! My most recent visit was with another couple, I had the old skool burger, it was juicy and obviously great quality meat. I’m a fussy burger eater and I had nothing but positive things to say :) the mozzarella sticks are huge!!

My husband and I came here last week to take advantage of the 25% off food with theatre tickets offer. We were expecting something cheap and convenient. We got the tastiest burgers we’ve ever had! My husband had the VIP burger and I had the weekly special (a croissant burger with brie, and truffle sauce). Both burgers were insanely delicious. The cheesy fries and onion rings were also superb. There was a good selection of drinks, the staff were really friendly, and the place was really nice, clean and comfortable. We only wished there were more people there! We’ll be coming whenever we fancy a burger, and recommending to anyone who will listen. Thank you.

Great room very comfortable, had a great welcome and all the staff were really helpful. They recommend other places to eat as we did not what burgers , but they did look very tasty. We had a good few drinks in the bar and the barman Jacob was so friendly and he was so helpful he his customer service skills were excellent.

The food was delicious- particularly the Japanese soy glazed chicken wings. It was great value and the service was excellent, lovely atmosphere.

Food was lovely, portion sizes were good, plus with our theatre tickets we got 20% off our bill. Happy days.

Me and my girlfriend had a great evening meal. The food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and nice and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely go again.

The burgers were pretty decent and cooked well but very small for the price with half of the ingredients listed on the menu appeared to be missing or in extremely small quantities. The fries however were actually inedible with both portions were left uneaten. We both ordered the poutine which was soggy rather than coated with gravy that tasted burnt and bitter. Very disappointing as the quality did not justify the price

Recently stayed in Room 3 at the front of the building over the bank holiday weekend. Cost of the greatly overpriced £100 per night without breakfast. Got there and were told upon checking in, (which is done in the bar area amongst all the punters, which is quite uncomfortable)the private secure carpark was unavailable for

We stayed here for 3 nights (17th/18th/19th August)and was in room 6 on the second floor. It was our base while we were visiting various location in and around the Shropshire area. Room was very spacious, clean and in a central location. Free parking and very quick to check in. What i especially love about this hotel was the room is decorated in such a cosy and homely way that when we came back after a long day out it felt like we were coming back to our own home whilst on vacation :-)

Really nice burgers here, busy when we went due to football as expected. But still fast service. Only issue was the nachos were just too spicy and didn’t come with any sour cream, salsa or quacamole.

I stayed here with my husband for a last-minute two nights away in Shrewsbury.

Severn Social has a good atmosphere and well decorated. I’ve been watching the football with my work colleagues. While it was great watching football, when the goals came in, there were people throwing drinks all over. While that’s not the bars doing, there was no control over it. Not everyone likes to be soggy and sticky from beer.

Lovely place inside and a great vibe. It’s now a sports bar judging by all the tv screens . Unfortunately whilst having a drink with friends watching the World Cup I decided to order a few sides of ........ guys if you can’t get the basics right I certainly won’t take a chance on other foods. Soggy soaked in oil and possibly the worst I have ever been served. No one else was eating and we still waited 39 minutes too.

Been to Severn social countless times before I have written this review and it’s been amazing every time. Love eating or drinking at Severn social because it always has a good atmosphere especially when the footballs on! Sever social has definitely blown away all local competition with there amazing burger options on the menu which keeps getting better! The staff are very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend coming here if you are from Shrewsbury or passing through!

I was visiting friends in Shrewsbury on the day of the England Match so obviously we had to go out.....I have coeliac disease so asked the bar staff if their burgers could be done gluten free and good news the chef told me which ones i could have.

Stayed here in April with friends when we went on a spontaneous outing! Was only staying the night but stayed for 2. Rooms were lovely. Clean, no complaints at all. We were even checked in a little after check in times and staff were friendly and very helpful. Didn't try the food but after reading other reviews would definitely return and this time we will try the famous burgers!!

We enjoyed a good afternoon here with friends yesterday watching Shrewsbury’s big game at Wembley.

We originally planned to stay at the hotel for 2 nights. The location is ideal for a visit to Shrewsbury. Breakfast service is not provided. Limited parking is at the rear of the hotel accessible through gated entry at the front of the hotel. On arrival the man working behind the bar could not have been more helpful. We were shown 2 rooms, a double and a twin. We selected the double. For the price (£50 pn) you get what you pay for!! there was a faint smell of smoking in the room and cigarette ash flicked behind the bedside table, you couldn't put a plug in one of the double sockets, however, there were plenty of others to use and one of the windows could not be securely closed. The bed was extremely comfortable and made up for these issues. My biggest concern is regarding the refund policy. We booked for 2 nights and paid in full on arrival. In the morning we decided we would not stay for the second night. We checked out before the check out time policy (1100) and let the only person on site know that we would be checking out. We were told that if we spoke to the staff when they arrive later that morning, we should be able to get a refund for the second night. We returned later that day to find out through the bar staff that the manager had decided as we had booked and paid for 2 nights, a refund is not possible. Overall, not the best we've stayed in.

Stayed here one night to go to a Concert at the Severn Theatre which is nearby. We are Senior Ladies and were a bit apprehensive when we first arrived but the bar staff who checked us into our comfortable rooms and later on helped us choose a suitable snack for our evening meal couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We did chuckle to ourselves as we enjoyed our Pre theatre drink and meal surrounded by a host of pleasantly chatty youngsters. Departing the next morning at 10 am was interesting. We seemed to have access to all the downstairs areas with no staff around. There was just a box by the back entrance to leave our keys. The assumption of honesty in this day and age was very pleasing. Our grateful thanks to all at Severn Social. It is said that it is good to have new experiences as you get older and this experience was a very pleasant one.

This is a trendy-ish Sports Bar venue with en suite rooms above it. Nothing wrong with that, but we did object to the outrageous price of £110 charged for a mediocre room without breakfast included! Not even bottled water on offer, just the bare minimum tea/coffee, no chair in the room nor pictures on the wall (just empty hooks!) to somehow go towards a tad of luxury expected for a hotel price! We have stayed in fantastic B & B's all over the country and paid much less for a double en suite room but got far more luxury, value and lots of extras (yes, inc brekkie!!) Two good points: great location (with on site parking) and excellent en suite facilities!!

I have eaten here a few times, and I have also had a few deliveries from Severn Social and the Burgers are easily the best around!

I haven't actually been inside the Severn Social restaurant - however I ordered a 'DP with cheese' from their menu to be delivered. The burger was horrific - possibly the worst I've ever eaten. The box it came in had been completely covered in grease, to the point where the box was dripping. I then decided to tuck in to the tasteless, greasy burger - I wish I hadn't attempted to, as for the next two days my stomach felt awful. Won't be attempting the restaurant in future.

Not a hotel, but rooms over a pub. No reception so first time we arrived couldn't find a way of checking in so went into town. Came back and realised had to check in with bar staff who were clearly busy and did not have time for this. Bar noisy and very male. Very poor tea coffee facilities and no shower gel. Later no residents bar and all for £100 a room.

Stayed here for one night in February. Hotel is lovely, bright and clean with good size bedroom and ensuite. Very quiet and had a lovely nights sleep.

Found this place on the internet whilst looking for a home for a weekend. Cant comment on the rooms as we chose another venue in the end. BUT the reviews I'd read on the restaurant/diner looked good so it was on our list of possibilities to eat at. Now I am actually not a big fan of burgers, I like them, but generally find them disappointing. How glad am I that we decided to eat here! I could ramble on, but, quite simply the BEST BURGER AND FRIES IVE EVER HAD. Properly cooked, juicy, tasty , quality, burger and accessories in the softest tastiest bun. Make sure and have the "dirty fries" you'll never go to a Macdonalds ever again. Well looked after, friendly staff and customers. We live 100 mikes away and are coming back just for these again. Dont miss it just because its a 2 minute walk over the river. But save some for me!

After having a really amazing burger a few months ago , I returned as they have new food and menu , so now we have an even better selection of burgers , nothing like it in Shrewsbury really , again all amazing dirty boi frys and blue moon burger were like the best, street food hits shrewsbury !!!

Me and my wife stayed here for one night recently. We arrived in the evening and the bar seemed nice but we were disappointed with the load in. After a long drive we really didn't want to drag our luggage through a collective of young girls and guys sat outside drinking, no way in though except through the bar!

We had a fantastic meal here! The chef Darren serves up the best chicken wings I have ever tasted! Crispy, meaty and full of flavour! Lots of different flavours but our favourite are the sticky Japanese ones! The burgers are also amazing! You will not go hungry at the portion sizes!

Been four times now and cannot complain at all. Food is great the sports on show are what we want to see. Great environment and will keep going back.

Best burgers in town! Darren the chef explained the food beautifully and cooked it just as well. Went for the house special and certainly did not leave hungry. Would recommend to anyone.

The room was large clean and contained everything that a guest could require - a nice bathroom and shower with plenty of room, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer etc.. Over night stay... v clean and well presented room. Ear plugs supplied and soon realised why . Room good size ... expensive for one night £140. Had a drink in the bar before night out.

Popped in for a quick bite on Sunday, we were greeted by very friendly cheerful staff who despite the place being quiet were very helpfull and attentive, food was ordered and came in good time and WOW what a surprise good freshly made and massive portions at a very good price.

Brilliant as always! First time I've had cocktails here though and I must admit they were excellent! Best Margarita I've ever had made by Joe behind the bar (even with a injured hand) #topnotch

So I've been scouting out venues for a pub crawl with friends next month.

Visited several times now and you just can't get bored of it. Burgers are full of flavour and the portion sizes are big enough for even the most hungry and plenty of room for extras (loads of wing flavours, fries and onion rings served by the inch) staff are always friendly and happy to show any sport to your hearts desire. 10 out of 10 would recommend

I've tested a lot of veggie burgers and these were awesome - some of the best. Fries were great as well.

Popped in and soaked up the dive bar atmosphere. Great menu which has clearly been thoughtfully constructed with some really well carried through ideas with the fun factor thrown in. Well recommended.

Loving the new look to this place. Lovely little booth with a TV to watch the sports, really quick service with both drinks and food. The Dirty Burger was to die for. Staff were very friendly and helpful (and handsome). Definitely would come again! An excellent Mojito too!

Visited here for lunch with my young daughter. We had a burger, a hot dog, fries and a milkshake. The food was obviously made with good quality products and the fries were homemade and very tasty. My daughter loved having a go on the table football and pool table, as well as trying a tub of popcorn out of the machine at the bar. Will definitely eat there again.

A real lunchtime treat - I enjoyed a delicious classic burger with fries which was great value considering the effort that had gone into it. I was pleasantly surprised that it tasted as good as it looks and could appreciate the quality of the ingredients.

Went there for lunch last week with a friend and decided to try out one of their burgers with loaded fries. With my friend having the chicken wings. Needless to say that we did not go home hungry! Portions are substantial but manageable... just enough, I did want to try the onion rings by the inch but could hardly move from the rest of our hoard.

Great food, great service, happy hour cocktails and super selection of ale/beer, footy on in our booth, kids had wifi and we played table football while the food was being made!

Sat outside after a top burger, mate had hotdog. Both beaut! Chef Darren came shook our hands talked about the food. Logan served us, nice chilled out afternoon, told I could take my dog. This place will become a regular for me. Absolute beaut of a meal and afternoon. Nice one guys!!

I went for lunch with my partner and we were served quickly, had a delicious "dirty burger" and wings. Really good service and tasty food. The staff were all really friendly.

You can already tell that the new management are really taking pride in the food ! All very fresh and was told the fries made on site too ! £3 a pint ..my mates were drooling at the beer price let alone the food ! Roll on more sports so I can have an excuse to visit ! Well done all!
