We travelled from Birmingham as someone recommended the live music, - Portions are extremely small - Expensive for the amount of food you can see on your plate with a magnifying glass. - Presentation is disgusting - Food tasted as it had gone off. - drinks tasted as they were watered down

Was recommended this place and looking at the location and decor I had low expectations but have to say that the food was awesome. Definitely one of the nicest tasting Indian restaurants I have been to in Leicester... and I have been to loads. Staff were friendly and food was very tasty and not over spiced. Would recommend the Carmos Chicken which was so yummy. I will be back here for sure!

The chef comes to your table and personally takes your order restaurant is mainly used by locals who all know the chef by his first Will cook this food to your specifications Great place to be live music every Wednesdays Fridays Saturdays and Sundays but you need to book a table for Friday or Saturday in advance. Drinks all reasonable price

First time here and it was chaos. One of our party had been here several times midweek and he did say it was much better so best if you go midweek. Go here for drinks and live music but on a Saturday food takes forever and comes out in dribs and drabs as there are clearly not enough staff. The head chef was coming out to take the food orders ! The Gents Loo has a door missing from one of the toilets and the other was blocked and overflowing with sewange (one of the gents told me this happens every week !).

I've been to the spice tree a few times over the past couple of months. Great food and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Good value for money and would definitely recommend whether out with friends or family.

First time visit. Exceptional service and food. Portion sizes were big, got containers to take home left overs. We will definitely be back

On August 2018 Leicester Mercury reported that there was rat inside the store and toilet seat on top of fryer and a dirty cloth to wipe and many more disgusting 🤮 stuff

We decided to order the special thali, expecting a satisfying and flavorful meal, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The curries tasted bitter and sour, almost as if they were spoiled or not prepared properly. It was unpleasant and inedible. The spring rolls were completely soaked in oil, to the point where the entire food packaging became greasy and unappetizing. It was obvious that no care was taken to ensure proper cooking or quality. The sambar, which should have been a comforting and savory accompaniment, was overly sweet and tasted off, while the dosa chutney was unreasonably sour, adding to the overall disappointment. And the Size of dosa is not worth for £5. Unfortunately, the entire meal was a waste of money, and we ended up having to buy food elsewhere to salvage our dinner. This was an incredibly frustrating experience, and the poor quality of the food left us feeling let down. I would not recommend this place and will definitely not be returning.
