Sereni-tea in East Riding of Yorkshire

Stopped in to the Serenity Tea Room while on holiday in Bridlington. My wife and I were chuffed with the excellent service and delicious sandwiches that we enjoyed. The mocha and cappuccino were equally delicious. What impressed us the most was the teamwork by the married couple who are the proprietors as well as chef and servers. We definitely intend to return there next time that we visit the area.

Had a gift voucher for afternoon tea. Had option to select from menu a sandwich each so picked two different fillings and shared half each followed by scone with jam and clotted cream. Selection of cakes including muffin with cream topping chocolate slice and fancies. Yorkshire tea served in china teapot and china tea cups. Overall excellent quality and service, highly reccomend when visiting Bridlington.

Popped into this quaint little cafe for lunch today. I had the special homemade chilli 🌶 🌶. Tasty! As customers left, the hygiene was thorough. (Tables, chairs and even the table decoration) The staff were friendly and welcomed me as a solo diner.🙏 A very pleasant experience. I will be back.

I visited with my Mum and we can’t fault it! The setting is amazing. We ordered sandwiches and fruit scones and they were both so tasty. The staff were so attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning!

We visited Bridlington today. We decided to get something to eat and visited this cafe. The food was lovely, and the service was great. The safe were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

My sister and I have been a few times and enjoyed our visit this week we decided to have the afternoon tea and we wasnt disappointed it was lovely nicely presented and plentiful . Owners are very pleasant. We shall be back. Throughly recommended.

Afternoon tea was delicious, the bread used in the tuna mayonnaise sandwiches was so soft and fluffy, best ever. Good selection of scones with butter,cream and jam and the cakes were very tasty. Very helpful and welcoming owner and it’s been revamped since we were here a few years ago, love the black and gold wallpaper with the big clock,looks like an old station clock.

Awful, dogs allowed in.........Why? Disgusting creatures. The coffee is excellent but won't go in again until this is rectified.

Called in yesterday, super clean ,lovely staff and the food is the best around ,at last someone who can cook a jacket potato properly! Would recommend to everyone

Just discovered this place and I don’t know how we’ve missed it.Spotlessly clean, both the cafe and the staff.We have visited a couple of times for coffee and cake and we shall be returning.

Having found this place a few months back, we pop in every time we are in Brid. The drinks and service are good and the cakes, truly a delight. Good social distancing and spotlessly clean.

We surprised our mum for afternoon tea, the lady gave us a huge smile and a warm welcome and seated us at our table. Such a beautiful, quiet place to come away from the busy seaside rush, we were out at ease straight away and the gentleman, Gordon, was so lovely and was on top of everything! We could choose a selection of different sandwiches to go with our afternoon tea, we chose to have bacon & Brie and chicken & cranberry. The whole set up was so beautiful! Big shout out to this place, our mum absolutely loved it and has made her day!

I booked afternoon tea as a surprise for my wife's birthday. It was fantastic. A very clean safe environment, lovely sandwiches and fantastic cakes and scones. Well worth the money and very friendly staff and regular customers. You will not be disappointed

Looked for a cafe after the drive to Bridlington and spotted this place. COVID-19 precautions faultless firstly. Had carrot cake and a latte and it was one of the best carrot cake's I've ever had. Very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend

Visited Bridlington on the train whilst staying in Beverley for a few days. Looking for somewhere for lunch we happened upon Sereni-Tea which looked very busy and pleasantly welcoming. The menu was quite extensive ranging for lite bites to a full meal or afternoon tea....

Firstly it’s not the cheapest cafe however you get what you pay for and this has got to be one of, if not the best independent cafe/coffee shops in Bridlington! It beggars belief that it’s not much higher on trip adviser Good points 1.....Huge toilet...

Friendly atmosphere, excellent service, food presented well and delicious, good value, very clean and nicely decorated toilet! Worth the extra 100 yards off the high street. Will definitely make it a regular on our trips to Bridlington.

Me and my partner were walking home from doing some shopping in town and thought we’d give this place a try as we hadn’t been in before.

Called in for the first time whilst my Westie was being clipped. Found the place spotlessly clean, and was given a warm welcome from the owner. I found a table, ordered a Latte and a well done bacon bap. Freshly prepared it arrived piping hot, with my requested brown sauce, delicious. With so many cafes around, and business tough, it was a pleasure to come into this owner run establishment. Would certainly reccomend it to anyone calling into Bridlington.

Stumbled across this place after walking around Bridlington. We stopped for two latte’s. They are reasonably priced. They do light meals, cakes etc. They do table service. It is very clean and has friendly staff. Would recommend and will definitely visit again when in the area.

We researched afternoon Tea in Bridlington and this place came out top... so we booked. They weren't wrong, it was delicious , plentiful and great value for money. We chose a couple of sandwich fillings which were really lovely and well presented. The afternoon tea also came with two beautifully light and huge scones with clotted cream and jam and then the top tier held two Viennese Whirls (a favourite of mine), incredible rocky road - not too sickly just delicious and finally two big cup cakes beautifully decorated and super tasty (had take them home as a cake-away!). All served with delicious Betty's tea on a gorgeous matching tea set. The couple running the place were very welcoming and friendly and home made everything themselves. We will definitely book again! This tea room has been in Bridlington for a few years, but is under new ownership, and has rapidly become our coffee stop of choice! Subsequently this review is based not on one visit, but several. The tea room is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The chairs are comfortable and the cafe does not suffer from loud rock music piped out. Sometimes there is quiet music, easy classics or light jazz but it is not intrusive, sometimes just peace and quiet! The food and drinks are always top quality and beautifully presented. We are particularly fond of the bacon and Brie panini, the scones and the rocky road cake! There is a varied menu of cakes, snacks and light lunches, however. The owners are extremely nice, and after a couple of visits they started to recognise us, and now they welcome us as friends. They make us feel really valued. A tiny bit off the beaten track if you’re visiting the sea front, but well worth the very short walk to Prospect Street!

Exceptionally clean and well laid out, lovely food really good coffee which is a welcome change from the normal poor offerings one receives, priced correctly too. You should try this one soon..

Took my aunt as a treat for her birthday- we love afternoon tea & we were not disappointed. A warm welcome was given, a table was laid out ready and the service was spot on. The food was freshly prepared & it was scrummy. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Well above-average café on a main road. Ultra clean, friendly and, judging from the comments overheard, with a loyal customer base. Beautiful home-made scones and cakes.

Delicious lunch,that is cooked to perfection and presented to the finest detail. With plenty of choices to suite all palates. All freshly cooked and if you're still hungry they have freshly baked treats for afters. This really is a great place to eat. Will be back, thanks

Kept passing this tea room and kept meaning to visit. Finally did so yesterday and so pleased we did. Went in for a coffee and lunch and was treated to excellent choice of good quality Betty's Taylor's tea and coffee. Chose a ham salad for lunch which was fresh, good quality, beautifully presented and very tasty.

Stopped for some late breakfast. The panini we had we're delicious and the staff were really friendly. Bear in mind they don't take cards but there are two banks just 2 mins walk away.

I was desperate for something to eat and this place was open at he time I needed it. I walked in the place which was empty - I can see why. It's like walking into an operating theatre or a dental surgery - everything is white and clinical. I had a jacket potato. It was nice but that's about all you could say - there was very little filling and the garnish consisted of a tiny piece of lettuce. The prices here are high for what you get so don't expect value for money.

Went here with my sister and her partner for lunch,it was the first time here,lovely and clean ,very friendly people, food was excellent and well worth the price,coffee lovely,will defo recommended this place

My daughter had scrambled egg on toast and milk. Husband toasted tea cake with melted cheese. I went with our daughter another day. She had baked beans on toast and fresh orange juice and I had toasted tea cake with Taylor’s peppermint tea. Lovely glass teapot. Very good service at the table. I choose to pay at the counter. Very friendly couple. Will certainly go again.

After lots of searching and walking came across this little gem . They were so friendly and went out of their way to make up an afternoon tea for 3 .

I adore this tea room. The owners are really lovely and you can always be sure of a warm welcome. The food is always delicious and well presented. My absolute favourite thing to have though, is the cream teas. Excellent value.
