We really loved this city centre cafe and visited it twice during our 3 day visit to Dundee! It had such a welcoming atmosphere. I love tea and this cafe has the best selection in Dundee. I especially loved the raspberry and lavender. The cakes were all home made and delicious! We didn’t have lunch or breakfast but we definitely will on our return to the city. The menu is 100% vegan. The soup is pay what you like. One of the aims of the cafe is to help people with additional needs to learn new skills for the work place. I wish there were more places like this! I cannot recommend it more! Excellent cakes and a fantastic ethos! I guarantee you’ll want to go back!

Serendipities is a lovely, charming cafe located within the busy city centre of Dundee. There is nothing to dislike about this place - the atmosphere, the staff, the food(!!!), the prices, and most importantly - the ethos of the cafe as a whole. I visited with a vegetarian friend of mine who had never been, and wasn't aware of the cafe's existence - has she been living under a rock?! We both had the same thing - a sausage breakfast bagel - at least, that was the first time we went there. Since visiting, we have been back at least 5 times as we are slowly working our way through the menu whenever we meet for lunch! I really can't recommend this cafe enough, and if you're vegan, veggie or omni - you're in for a treat. I would have posted about the AMAZING cinnamon scrolls they make, but I don't want to tell you about those in case you buy them all before I get there. See you soon, staff!

Was taken here by friend when visiting Dundee today. 2 teenagers (1 with life threatening nut allergy), 3 adults- we are all neurodivergent so thought we should support this enterprise. Sat outside. Got menus and ordered drinks. And then waitress came out to tell us we couldnt have ginger (it was advertised as a list of different types of cordial that you could have with ice, soda water and fruit) she kept saying 'its all mixed so you cant have just ginger- read the menu' and I didnt understand as my friend had elderflower etc I just couldnt understand- we had ordered one with tap water, one with soda- thinking it was cordial as it said- meanwhile she is rolling her eyes, sighing and then said 'stop getting angry'- I really just wanted clarification- finally my friend 'got it'- its not cordial as its a series of pre mixed drinks (although with no ice or fruit. I asked for a can of ginger beer instead and some apple juice- we established we'd very much like ice and she said a can would come out. A glass of (flat) ginger came out which confused me as I didnt know it was and was expecting a can- and apple juice, no ice in either. Food was nice though. I think for a cafe that claims to be inclusive, treat your customers with more respect and also understand that as a neurodivergent group we need to be helped not eyes rolled at and made to feel stupid. Also if you say you will deliver a can and deliver a glass understand as autistic thats quite confusing. The food was nice but we felt made unwelcome. Toilets are all inclusive which was good and soup is pay as you feel I paid more as my youngest really enjoyed it (although cinnamon flavoured croutons with lentil soup was odd!!). We had quesadilla, cheekin nuggets and wedges, blt bagel, chickpea toona and baked pot and lentil soup. Nice food just not as inclusive as it claims to be sadly. Sadly for my friend that was thier second bad experience there so we wont be going back.

We arrived at Serendipities later than expected as we got distracted on our first trip to Dundee by some of the other delights it has to offer. The staff still welcomed us warmly and it was great to be able to choose anything on the all vegan menu. A cafe with a heart ♥️

My girlfriend, her friend and I went to Serendipities after hearing about the lovely set-up that the cafe has. From the moment we entered the establishment, we were greeted warmly by the staff. We all ordered food and a beverage and this came quickly. We unanimously agreed the food was delicious and our hot drinks in particular were wonderful, all at a cheap cost. My girlfriend is gluten intolerant but had her needs met at every turn. The desserts on display looked very attractive, albeit we did not have any on this occasion. The interior was also impressive, with evidently inclusive design. I would thoroughly recommend this cafe, both for the quality of goods and the work they are promoting!

We visited here after a personal recommendation. The menu was massive and i couldnt believe it was all vegan. I had the half portion of macaroni with garlic bread. The pasta was very creamy but unfortunately i didnt get much taste from it. Top marks for effort and their inclusive policy. We thought the food we had maybe just needed a little extra seasoning to give it flavour. Bill was so cheap that i actually asked the lady to recalculate it as i thought she had missed something.

Very friendly service, and was good to sit outside for an afternoon drink and a muffin. Somewhere definitely worth supporting.

I am writing this review to thank whoever the man was who gave me food one Saturday night. I don't know who he was but this man came up to me at night when I was sitting on the street and offered me a free cake, I took it as I had nothing else to eat that day. When I said thank you to the man he said that it was curtesy of Serendipities. I don't know if this man worked there or was just a customer who bought an extra cake but thank you helping someone in a spot like me.

Sadly the most awful food we have eaten in Dundee. We had high hopes, for being vegan and hearing good things in the past but this was dreadful. The atmosphere was a cold unwelcoming empty affair. It was as if it was a Sunday morning and they had only just opened the door and not taken their jackets off yet. But it was a Thursday morning at 11am. The all day breakfast consisted of rock hard packet potato scone, meant to be home made hash brown but it was a frozen one from a cheap supermarket, the cheapest watery beans possible, tiniest black pudding ever seen. undercooked Linda McCartney sausage, meant to have hummus but no sign. French toast that our kids could have actually made better and with taste and at least presented nicely- feel bad for saying it as the young girl and her assistant were nice but the food was so terrible . There is a really lovely vegan restaurant in Perth - go there. Not here.

I have not long moved to Dundee and was trying to suss out a vegan food place (the café is 100% plant based). From the first visit was i was blown away by not only the quality and utter deliciousness of all the food (it's soooo good) but by the warmth of the atmosphere created by the wonderful staff members. The Love that is obviously put into the food can also be felt from the moment you step into the cafe! Where do i start in what i'd recommend food wise?? well i've returned so many times that i don't want to start listing off nearly the whole menu ha, soo i'd have to say i'm a sucker for the all day breakfast PIE!! Yes PIE is always winner for me, but they are all amazing, oh and the coronation cheeken wraps are Killlaaah! :) .. ok i'm rambling on, but do not I REPEAT DO NOT! Leave without trying one of their DUFFINS!! I will not spoil the surprise but for the sweet toothed, you will be experiencing a little slice of heaven :) .. Finding out that the café is also is a community space which helps community members with special needs and more really epitomises what i mentioned before about the love that this cafe oozes and gives back to the community is just no surprise.. I'm not a massive reviewer generally but sometimes places like this need to be shared with the world.

I thought I'd leave a review as judging by the lack of reviews it seems like a new place and I have a range of feedback I'd wish to give. Also, for fellow vegans it's helpful to know about new plant-based eateries! Firstly, I was attracted to the cafe as it seemed really cute on the outside, and on the inside the interior is lovely. Finding out it was completely vegan was a bonus for me, and my mum who is vegetarian. Reading the menu the options seemed varied and like the type of vegan options I've found in other cities, so I was excited to try them out. It wasn't until after ordering and reading the information on the table that I found out the cafe aims to be zero waste and uses products that would otherwise go to waste. Although I applaud and support this attitude I was a little worried about the freshness of the food upon reading this, but continued to remain optimistic. I also learned that the cafe is run by adults with additional needs, which I thought was lovely, although at the back of the cafe when I made my order it did look a bit untidy and disorganised. When I poured myself some tap water the first glass I went to use was dirty, so had to get another. I ordered a jackfruit bagel; my mum ordered a pasta salad and my dad the quiche. It turns out all the lunches came with the same pasta salad, served on a bed of iceberg lettuce. Although the pasta salad was tasty, the presentation was quite poor with large chunks of iceberg lettuce, which could have done with being shredded or served with a greater variety of leaves. The salad was spicy which we enjoyed but may not have been to everyone's taste. However, unfortunately my jackfruit bagel smelled a bit suspicious - unlike other jackfruit I've had, and without a nice bbq coating that I had been expecting. When a helpful member of staff asked whether the food was ok I had to be honest about the bagel. Thankfully, she was really lovely and made me another bagel with an alternative filling, which was quite tasty. I therefore feel like the food is a bit hit and miss. I didn't have a drink or cake so can't comment on that, but the array seemed extensive although again some of the cakes looked a bit untidy. I'd definitely recommend supporting this little business for all the good work they are doing, but I hope they can improve the quality and appearance of their food over time. The staff were lovely and I wish them every success with their venture!

A lovely little cafe lovely food really nice staff .the only thing that spoilt it for us .it is a small cafe and the table next to us had 2 dogs which they could not control properly jumping at table and sniffing at us the couple that had did not bother but when eating I do not want dogs sniffing around me.for the size of cafe I Don,t think dogs should be allowed or the owners look after them.

Don't know what happened to this place. Used to be excellent. Certainly isn't now. Food poor. The fun welcoming atmosphere absolutely gone. Having to go up to the till and order and pay each time you want another coffee ( or anything else) is a pain. Why can't it just be table service? Servers not all bad but they are not great either. They used to be excellent. Very disappointed with my last few visits. Time to go elsewhere.

Este café ha cerrado. La cafetería ofrece una variedad de productos libres de gluten para comer en el restaurante o para llevar. Por desgracia ya no es abierto.

Our first time at Bach. Pronounced “batch” - New Zealand for home. Interesting choices. I had yummy Turkish eggs and we shared a salad.
