I've never eaten Korean before and spotted this small delight on the way to visit the British Museum. Just caught the end of their morning session, they take a break 3 to 5. There's only a dozen seats and it was almost full but I squeezed on to a shared table. Advised by a fellow patron chose bibimbap. It was delicious and I could see the guy preparing it. It's says it's family run and that was so evident when I upended my bowl and lost half of my food. No problem they just gave me another bowl and quickly cleaned up the mess. They were so lovely about it.

I have no idea why this simple place is called a bakery. It is nothing of the kind but a nice eating establishment for a Korean snack or meal. Conveniently located near the British Museum, we went for a late lunch after visiting an exhibition. It is small and the few tables were packed -apparently there is often a queue at busy times. But it is not a place to linger so turnover is quick. My husband, who is kimchi aficionado, ordered the kimchi fried rice. I opted for one of their meal deals, a vegetarian bibimbap which came complete with a clear soup and a separate portion of kimchi. A large carafe of water was placed on the table. The food was pretty good. Service was friendly and obliging, and the bill was moderate, about £18 for two.

Cafe style Korean restaurant serving great Korean food. I went for vegetable rice which was actually packed with flavour and decent portion. Service was great. I did have to ask to put the k-pop music down a bit which was quite loud. A few minutes from Tottenham Court Road station so this really is a great casual lunch spot whilst shopping in central London.

One of my favourite Korean restaurants, being of a more traditional cafe style rather than a 'posh' restaurant, it has K-Pop memorabilia for sale and graffiti on the wall. The food is authentic and never fails to please,we have been here numerous times (probably monthly). The only downside is because the food is so good and the place so small you may have to queue - sometimes we have queued for 10 minutes other times an hour so be prepared to wait but it is worth it in my opinion.

Dumpling topokki was so delicious. The sauce was sweet and spicy👌🏼. Kimchi pancake was crispy and so delicious. Beef with cheese ghimbap was nice, but I find it a bit dry…it would be better if a sauce is added to it. The employee was okay. Prices very are suitable. Make sure to go early, otherwise you’ll have to queue.

I have tried every single item on their menu and it’s all delicious. Kpop merchandise to buy and pleasant kpop music which isn’t too loud. It’s lovely and despite only having 3 tables, it’s always nice to sit next to someone because everyone is nice there, every time I’ve been there and I’ve been there over 15 times. The bibimbap is delicious and at £3.50 per plate you’ll be hard pressed to find a better location. I always order bibimbap, a seafood pancake and some type of noodle and have never ever been disappointed. This is definitely a hidden gem. One of my favourite things is plum tea - not from can, and if you ask nicely they will make it cold too (it doesn’t mix as well tho) Please be nice to the staff because they work hard and fast every time, and there’s a lot of Kpop merchandise you can buy and a whole menu of delicious food that they make there. I always enjoy their walls with Kpop star signiatures and our own that we’re always happy to contribute to. What an amazing wall. Anyway this is my favourite food in the world. I can’t stress enough how good the food is here. It feels authentic and I love it. It’s so good I could cry because I want to go there so bad.

The queue is always quicker than it looks (fast service!) and I love the guest-do-your-own graffiti and the mini K-pop shop. I lived locally (until covid) and it was my fave place to eat, hang out with friends or get a takeaway. Such good value. No complaints from going there over several years and taking all my friends and family there. I really hope they've adapted to covid and are surviving!! Cannot wait for my next Bibimbap there...

My son found this place and took me there on Sunday. It's a very small room, you can't book tables. The queue of Koreans down the street was a good sign and despite the 30 min wait it was well worth it. SB is recommended as a place to visit to buy KPop merchandise as there are few places to buy things. After watching a YouTube video raving about the small basement room and the variety of stock available I booked a trip to London to take my 15 year old daughter. Disappointed is an understatement. There are lots of small photo cards and other mini items to buy. There were a handful of larger photo items all overpriced. There is a locked cupboard displaying albums that can be bought again overpriced. My daughter bought one album £10 cheaper in Fopp (a record shop in Covent Garden area). Avoid the basement shop. I cant comment on the food as we didn't eat but I can say there was a queue before opening and one lady highly recommended eating there. This more advice for KPop fans

Behind a tiny shop front in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of Tottenham Court Road, this modest Korean restaurant (not really a bakery despite the name) serves classic dishes like Bulgogi and Bibimbap with the ever present kimchi in case you need an extra kick of chilli. You may be sitting at the simplest wooden tables and be surrounded by walls covered in students’ scribbled messages but the food is spot on, good quality ingredients (important when beef is involved), good spicing and cooked just right. And all for really rock bottom prices. Strangely they are open at lunchtime then again in the early evening but only until 7.30pm. I didn’t ask why. Expect to queue.

I went to Seoul Bakery a few days ago. I can’t judge the food since I haven’t earned anything there. They have lots of Kpop merchandise downstairs, which is what I came for. Mostly stuff from popular groups such as: EXO, BTS, TWICE etc... I couldn’t find anything Red Velvet related, and only a few Blackpink things. Smaller groups such Monsta X, SEVENTEEN etc were much harder to find. However, my biggest problem was with the posters. I bought a Twice poster of “What is love?” for about 10 pounds. Then a few days later I went to H-Mart mini (Tottenham Court Road), and all the posters they sold in the H-Mart mini (also the one that I bought), was just 3,99! Bottom line: buy your posters at H-Mart!!!!

This was another return visit to this tiny place in the heart of Bloomsbury. We were a party of three and went there for lunch. We were lucky with a table which isn't always the case. However, we did wait a long time for our food (as it happened, that didn't matter too much on this occasion). The food is freshly cooked and pretty authentic. Good flavours and ample portion sizes. I had honey and plum tea (iced) to go with my meal and it was really refreshing - not over sweet. My bibimbap was as you would expect. The one waitress was friendly and as efficient as she could be given she was working on her own. Given the location and the pricing, this is a bit of a find if you don't want to spend a fortune for lunch in London (and if you like Korean food of course). Based on this, and past experiences, I would recommend to others (just not when I want to go because then I'd have to queue!)

Visited SB with high expectations (from existing rave reviews of which this will become one of them) and I must say those expectations were fulfilled, exceeded even. My group of three were lucky enough to secure a seat when we went (1:30pm) because a queue started forming minutes later. SB is pretty small, with only three communal-sized tables which I estimate can seat only about 15 people? Avoid big groups if possible to minimise waiting times. There is a basement level but I'm unsure if there are more seats there apart from the restroom. To start off, we ordered a seafood pancake (Haemul Pajeon) for sharing and all three of us were blown away by how wonderful it was. There was a generous amount of shrimp spread all over the very well-done pancake – toasty and savoury. The dipping sauce (possibly a blend of soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic) was neither too salty nor overpowering and accentuated the freshness of the pancake. With our appetites whetted by such an amazing starter, the mains served were no slouches either. I got the Spicy Beef Noodles (Yukgaejang) and I absolutely loved it. The broth was spicy yet hearty and the beef slices were bursting with flavours which meant they were already marinated before being added to the soup (points for efforts!). My only disappointment was that I thought thin egg noodles or vermicelli might better complement i.e. soaked up the tasty broth rather than udon noodles. Regardless, I very much enjoyed both the pancake and beef noodles. My friends ordered the Tofu Stew (Soondubu Jjigae) and Bibimbap which they gave high praises too so those are worth a try. All in all, you won't be disappointed with Seoul Bakery, albeit that you might have to wait in view of its small size.

Went to grab a late lunch and ordered Kimchi rice with egg & cheese. It was lovely! I am not good at eating spicy food. I thought the kimchi rice will burn my throat but to my surprised it wasn't spicy at all, which I'm very glad. The ambience was nice, It has a good tiny amount of space inside. I really enjoyed our meal.

I would like to start off by saying that if you are a vegetarian/vegan you should never step your foot in this shop.I, and my friend, waited for about 25 minutes in the cold before we managed to get in. Then, we waited for an extra 10 minutes standing. The place is way too small and understaffed. I don't see why they don't make it takeaway only. Now, after we managed to order, we had to wait another 20-30 minutes to get our food. Even though, people who ordered after us, had their food before us.When I ordered, I explicitly told the waiter, who had trouble speaking and understanding English, that I'm a vegetarian.Because I saw he had trouble understanding, I asked if the vegetable dishes I ordered where 100% vegetarian. He struggled for a bit, but in the end he said everything I ordered was vegetarian.Along with the food, I ordered some tea latte. It arrived after 15 minutes, and it was cold. My friend took it back and asked why it was cold, and they said they did not have hot water (?!) and they would microwave it for me.It took them 10 minutes to do so. Then, the food arrived. The fried rice was crunchy, which meant it was not cooked properly. The soup I ordered was alright. In the end, when I went to pay, I told the cashier I was paying for the vegetarian soup and the other things. She looked at me and said:-The chicken soup.-No, I had the vegetarian soup. -Yeah, the chicken soup.-No, it was plain.-Yeah, plain. The chicken soup.I was beyond shocked! I am still shaking in the thought that they may have served me meat when I very kindly and specifically explained I am a vegetarian. I still do not know if the soup had meat or not, as the waiter said what I had ordered was vegetarian, but the cashier insisted on calling what I ordered chicken soup!I am aware that many places have vegetable dishes that aren't vegetarian (i.e. cooking meat in the same pots as vegetables, cooking vegetables in meat oil and so on). Hence why, I asked the waiter several times, to ensure I was eating vegetarian food.I am beyond appalled and disgusted. I understand that their shop isn't vegetarian, but they should at least have the decency to be honest with customers about what they put in their dishes.

Sighted this restaurant while walking towards the British museum. It was pretty small with limited seats. It's walls were decorated with 'graffiti'. Besides food, it also sells Korean stuff like tony moly hand cream, photos of kpop idols etc. The cheese toppoki was pretty delicious with three pieces of cheese laid on top of the toppoki. The pajeon(seafood fried pancake was a little thicker with flour than what we usually have. Nevertheless it was still nice.

We went dinner last. The queue for a table was around 10mins. Which was totally acceptable. The restaurant is a very cosy tiny place which seats around 15 people. We ordered the beef bibimbap. It doesn't come with the hot stone pot, and the portion is not big but you only pay £4.50. The seafood pancake £7.50 was lush. If we could, we would of sat there the whole day people watching. Definitely will go back again and again.

Came here with my parents and best friend. Great choice from the menu, great prices too. The food was amazing and very filling! A very authentic experience with the metal chopsticks and dishes. Enjoyed the kpop playing in the background and the writing on the wall - as well the kpop merchandise for sale! Great experience, will be back when I go to London again! :)

I was recommended by a friend to visit this place and I'm so happy I visited. This place has the most authentic, cheap(est) Korean food in London. There aren't many seats, but the interior is filled with colourful KPOP graffiti and cute messages. This place is suitable for groups and couples. I've been recommending my friends to go and I will definitely visit again!

店面不大,位子不多,可是實在很道地很好吃的韓食(沒有銅鍋烤肉喔)只收現金!店內裝潢很可愛,牆壁都是各國客人的簽名留言。桌上有自製的辣椒醬,好吃!

Not for fine-dining enthusiasts. This place is cheap, chirpy and no fuss. The food is lovely -- served as it is, no pretensions. Just like how your mom or aunt serves it on a normal day. They even serve you table water without you asking!Tasty bulgogi or vegetable bibimpab. Wonderful vegetable ghimbap. There is almost always a queue outside but that should answer your question if it is worth a try. This is a jewel in this part of the town. Toilet downstairs is clean.

I'm a big Korean foods lover for almost 10 years, been tried so many restaurants both in Europe and Asia. This little place may not reach the most appropriate dining option but it's just like a daily- life choice of everyone on the street in Korea. They provide many authentic dishes that I really enjoyed. The price is lovely in central London and you can get rid of starving. The service was delightful and warm, definitely will come back again during next visit in London.

I walk by this place a few times a week and it's always full of people. Today I finally decided to try their food. Unfortunately the Tuna and kimchi bibimbab was not good at all. To begin with the amount of tuna was ridiculous. Maybe a table spoon of spoon was in the box. Tuna was cold as well as all the vegetables. This did not go well at all with the hot rice. Rice was cooked with no salt in the water so it was completely bland. Even though the name of the dish stated it came with kimchi there was not a trace of it in the bowl.Apart from all that nothing really had any really Korean flavour. It was a bowl of bland rice, with cold veg and a fried egg on top. Even on street markets in London I had way better bibimbaps.

This café was just so cute! The walls are decorated with the drawings / notes of Seoul Bakery's many visitors and it's really fun adding to it too!As well as this, the food tastes amazing and is very cheap! I think the whole k-pop theme of the store is very cool, and how they also sell merchandise for a fair price. It would be great to come back again! Me and my friends loved it~

After seeing so many delicious pictures of their Kimchi fried rice on Instagram, I just had to go in and try it for myself. It's a tiny little cafe style restaurant, very casual and laid back. Service was great and the waiter recommended a few dishes from the menu for us. It's such great value for money! My friend and I ordered 3 dishes to share between us and 2 green teas. The bill was just under £20!

I'm comparing this with Korean places in Little Korean from the US (which is a high standard).Food is a bit better than average. Spice level was pretty good. I felt the variety of vegetables was not great. Prices are good.Place is super small, but staff is friendly.

Very small but a nice cosy atmosphere. Great food, fast service and cheap prices especially the kimbap. The are only 2 main tables and a high bar so you will be seated next to strangers but it's not a big deal. Will come again xx

After reading good reviews about this place i was disappointed with my bibimbap being served lukewarm boarding on cold and with portions being on the small side. Plus with it being quite small you may have to wait a while when its busy.

A tiny restaurant close to the British Museum. I'd heard it hadn't many tables, and so aimed for the middle of the afternoon. Even at 3pm on a Thursday I had to wait for a table. Once I had a table, the menu was interesting and the service excellent. Food was served quickly and the food was very tasty. I went for the Bibimbap with bulgogi, and at under £5 I really don't think you can beat this in the centre of London.

Best place, the food is genuine, it feels like are in Seoul. They play Kpop and the staff is nice. Service is good but I can't stress how good the food is. Quality and affordability at their best. I come here whenever I can when I'm in central London. Everytime I eat here, I feel like I'm going to blow up because I'm sure I eat twice as much as I should, the food is too nice! The place is tiny - don't be fooled, it has to be, to keep all the authenticity, I love it to bits.
