Food is very nice and plenty of drink selections. I usually always get donner and chips and other places I would get a large, here a medium is enough to fill me up. They are not stingy with the sauce like most other places are. It would be nice if forks provided could be bigger

from out of area, was driving past and wanted proper chips as all chicken shops on that road, this shop had a queue inside so i thought must be good. Went in and the gentleman serving was very friendly big smile on his face and can’t lie food was really nice. Proper soft old school chips, chilli sauce was amazing too. Highly recommend. Price is good too

Thought we would try an old school shop, have to say service was lovely nice staff but unfortunately that's where the pleasantry's stop, the chips were hard stale and old, the chicken fillet burger was rubbery and not tasty at all the Chicken Donner and donner meat were nice but overall not impressed, won't be going back. One last thing no seating so only a take out.

Chicken burger seemed ok, chips were old, cold and stale. Mixed Donner was ok, price is a bit pricey for quality.

DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Added on around £2 per item even though we got food from here a few weeks ago! He claims the prices changed years ago which is a lie. Ended up spending £30 on trashy burgers and fish and chips. Save your money and go elsewhere!!

The donner meat and chips was great. The donner was cut thick, taste good and the chips were nice too. Representing good value for money the service was quick but the shop was rather cramped.

Tried this place 2 weeks back and have to say 9/10 which is why the donner mt and chips was £5. Pricey! so today I thought I go again cuz food was lovely. But it was 3/10 chips were rock solid, donner was cold not even warm. Sauces was lovely as its the sauce. Don't think they are consistent which is usually with fish and chips. Il save tjr fiver nxt time. Sorry guys

Great taste fried grilled food all around, specially the chips with fry chicken donner or starters. I would diffentely rate the fast food out let as the 1 of the best in the Midlands or throughout UK.

I had the chicken nibblets (not nuggets, on the bone) with chips: The chips were fine, the chicken I had was unfortunately untouchable although.. It was very rubbery, a piece I went to pull off flung back and was all just very grey, although the batter on them looks good. I have revisited 27/04/2023 Chicken Pakora and a portion medium chips, absolutely fantastic, fresh and greatly textured, very flavourful and a great chilli sauce. Thank you ever so much

It is nice but it could be better by bigger portion size new decor better hygiene the prices are extremely high but the food is nice and fresh sometimes although it can be annoying when they always serve other people first when you were there first.Overall I do recommend you going there to check it out yourself

This was once a legendary chip shop, known not only by locals, but by the whole of Birmingham; in the past their price to quality ratio was unmatched and customer service was top notch. Unfortunately, even legends fall; currently the state of this shop is terrible, with dated decour, poor customer service, higher prices on food and lower food quality and hygine. I would say the worst part of it is the customer service, many of the staff deploy, unfortunately, a third world view when serving customers; For context, if a woman orders first, she will not be served until all men have been served, if there is a line of men and women, they will completely ignore the women/woman. The same strategic sales method applies to young men, most men under 20 or who are less shouty will be ignored while older/bearded men who have just walked in will be served. This is NOT how a shop should be run. As someone else has mentioned, a portion of chips is 20 individual chips, I don't even know the price any more as it keeps rising, I do know that it is not worth it. Due to the other reasons above, their fish stays out longer, making it cold/rubbery, the chips I have found do have dirt in them on a few occassions. The man who makes roti in the back of the shop is almost always coughing without covering his mouth. The man in the front of the shop has coughed in his hands, made food and smiled at me whole handing it to me before. The coregated metal sheets and food grade steel counter faces are reminiscent of a fish mongery and are off putting, therr is no where to sit inside or even outside of the shop. It would be nice if there was a bench with a table and umbrella outside. Overall review, is it worth checking out? Yes Will you be imprsssed? No.

Just bought chicken and chips and the chicken was like rock solid ( over burnt) and must have been days old! Avoid! Just checked and their hygiene rating was 1 this year.

Been coming here for years. Really nice chicken and cheeseburgers, nice chips too. Staff are just legends in terms of service and banter. My regular spot for years now, will always recommend them.

For £1.50 this is the best fast service takeaway. Friendly staff and the chicken always has a great batter on it. Recommended if you want something quick.

It was a really good place for fish and chips, but has dropped fast in quality.Dont waste your time here. Its all nasty here.stay away. Soggy chips all mushed together; not crispy at all. The place needs a face-lift and a complete interior overhaul. Staff are friendly. Definitely not recommended.

Amazing customer service always have a smile on my face,food is excellent I only go for the masala fish and naan..but they only accept cash which is disappointing...in this day and age a card machine is a must.

For the last 15 years minimum, this shop layout, decor has stayed the same. At previous times, the food quality, prices was good. But recently I noticed the opposite. Price wise have also increased, but the food quantity is the same or less. Just a small cone of chips is £1 & you literally get 15,20 chips maximum. I think they need to revamp the place, get some better quality food (preferably HMC), and reconsider the food prices.

There’s always mud on my chips... you can end up crunching on soil 9/10 times whilst eating chips from this place either clean it properly or lose a customer!!!!! The only people who come back to use your services are the local residents around you! However your food is bog standard you need to have a look at how your working and how you could improve things the shop needs a revamp! I don’t mean add seatings but at least abide to covid19 rules like masks minimum amount of people in the shop etc. Gloves whilst prepping food!

My local chippy been here for time... Good reputation with the locals... But lacking now aren’t we the chips all ways have a crunch to them not the sort of crunch I’m after biting into potato soil... chips need washing properly the correct way!!!!!! Also you’ve in business for how long please revamp the place up freshen it up give it a deep clean and change the board to fresh prices all ways have to ask how much will this be how much will that be... I look at the board and be like sure I’ll get that next time come to the till next time and the price is different to the one listed on the display... Not all bad but some tweaks need making

This place has been an old haunt of mine. It is very good and very consistent. Just does the basics well and doesn't try and do anything too fancy. I now live far away but make a trip down here once in a while. Never lets me down.

Food is average, prices are average, donner meat is special, I do not recommend this donner meat on a hot day as it rises your temperature level drastically. But overall the food is nice. If you like your chicken donner then you will love this place as they make amazing chicken donner. Slightly oily but amazing.

I've been visiting this establishment on a fairly regular basis for the last fifteen years, and although management has changed once since, and they've been through various phases of "refurbishment", the food has stayed consistent, prices have remained sane, and the service is still excellent.

A great little chippy. They stick to a smallish menu and to me their chips are the best in the locality. Prices are cheap and there is always a queue so you can see what the locals think. Thoroughly recommended.

La cola en una tienda en general dice todo (a menos que el personal de mostrador son demasiado lento jajaja) pero he visitado este lugar para numerosos años y rara vez estoy decepcionado. No a mi gusto las mejores patatas fritas de la localidad (no demasiado finas o demasiado gruesas) y en más de precios razonables. Su siempre ocupado y las hamburguesas y kebabs son también buena relación calidad-precio, aunque el servicio puede ser lento debido a las órdenes y el volumen de patatas fritas grande. Recomiendo totalmente su pollo hamburguesas y sus fichas. Dales una oportunidad si en la localidad.

You would not get 5* star restaurant service. Simply make the order, staff will get on with the job. Food tastes great. In terms of value for money, not many places fare better.

Best chips locally... Hands down

See-Fry is a pretty decent fish shop. The prices are good, service is good. I still go there for fish and chips even though I've moved. The place is usually busy, but that's what you'd expect, as there aren't many chip shops of the same standard nearby. Hygiene issues are common in the area but this chippie isn't grubby, it's well kept and clean. You can ring ahead with your order, which is better because waiting in the queue is awkward in the tiny shop. Although they always have a few people serving there can be a wait if you don't call (still completely worth it in my opinion), especially around workers' lunch break times. I'd recommend the fish and chips with curry sauce, or the masala fish and chips with chilli and mayo for a treat (you'll need a fork for that).

Chicken donner is mouthwatering

Not what it used to be. Went there last night,thinking it would be the same as before. I had to wait 15 minutes for my food, no where to sit inside, chips are worse than home made, cheap solid potatoes, the chicken in the chicken burger was more like it was made of plastic strands SO difficult to chew on AND cold. What a shame as this was one of my favourite chip shops when I lived in the area. DEFINITELY NOT COMING HERE AGAIN...EVER! I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO U.K FRIED CHICKEN, MUCH BETTER CHICKEN AND ACTUAL FRIES AND CHEAPER TOO.
