Sedgefield Fisheries in County Durham

Only wanted a bag of chips with scraps . Last who was serving only half listening as someone phoned order at same time. I got the most dried up manky chips I've ever had , also no scraps even though I asked twice . Will not be going back

The best fish and chip shop around by far ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ always fresh cooked fish and the nan babs are awesome 😋

Food took 1 hour 45 minutes to be delivered and when finally arrived the chips where just scraggy ends, could barely find a normal chip. I see other reviews are also commenting on the quality of the chips so am not alone.

Again my friend oerderd food 30 minutes in advance turned up waited 15 mins due to delivery stop sending flyers 10% off food if you cannot get collection right lots of people saying same after my bad experience and staff attitudes need to change.Fishburn much better and more reliable

Worst I have ever had. I order at least once a week but today we wasted our money. There wasn’t even a decent chip, they were scabby and green and we didn’t eat a meal in end. Put us off ordering again. Quality of food poor today which is sad really as normally enjoy it but it’s just can’t believe they actually served it!

Drove into Sedgefield to find this one as reviews seemed to be decent. Prices were decent and waiting time was short for Cod & Chips and it was okay ...... but no better. Chips were a little greasy and the batter was certainly not light but I guess that is all a matter of taste. No real issues but certainly not stand out and I would check out others if I'm up there again.

Called in and they were just about to close but offered to cook for us. Very obliging and very pleasant. Fish was very fresh and chips were lovely. Quite pricey but everything has gone up and compared to other takeaway food and the amount and quality you get. We have no comments. Spotlesdly clean. Would certainly go again if in the area.

Only had curry and chips but must say bloody lovely curry and well made proper chips defo coming back for the fish. Shame it was cash only or an app to your phone to pay though but hey ho got their in the end. Try izettle for your payments it’s great for small transactions

Arrived in Sedgefield at hotel not serving food due to Covid. Put in touch and ordered a delivery. Efficient order and payment system. Good choice, delivered quickly. Friendly delivery service and good fish and chips. Good all round service.

This was our first visit with the new owners in charge, we were more than pleased with the quality of the fish & chips and the portions, in fact we were not able to empty the plate. Won't be long before we will be back.

Called in and sampled a hot shot parmesan and it's fair to say it was a good as any I have had previously. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. The fish and chips are top notch too.

I've visited Sedgefield Fisheries twice in a month and the customer service is atrocious. I'm always pleasant and friendly when ordering food but not once did any staff member smile or even attempt pleasantries. When I was leaving and said "thanks very much" there was no reply. As for the food, on both occasions the batter on the fish is solid and the chip have appeared a dark brown and quite soggy. There will not be a third visit...

Called in Friday tea time. Sensible social distancing rules in place with only one person at time allowed in the shop. Fungi pizza and fish and chips were thoroughly enjoyed with clean plates all round. Will we return - yes most weeks we eat from here.

We have come here before and the service and food was brilliant. However, we ordered today and the food arrived 45 minutes late, was stone cold and when we rang to complain they just made excuses and offered no refund etc. We were offered more food which is a waste of time and given their shocking service earlier, it probably wouldn't have arrived until tomorrow anyway.

They have just started doing Pizza. The Pizza is the best I have ever had. Anywhere! I would recommend the meat feast special pizza.

I have only been here once....and was not impressed.....the service was poor.....the staff were sharp and miserable....the portion of chips was small and the fish OK. There must be better around.

Evidently very hard. Fish and Chips ordered. The chips were ok, but the fish very poor. Supposedly cod, but no flavour and the flesh mushy not flakey . I would not recommend this option to order and it was also quite expensive. I have fish...
