Mcdonald's Restaurants in County Durham

This has to be the slowest, fast food drive through on the planet. The food is normally just warm, they very rarely fill the order first go, and you have to park up and wait. The last time this happened we sat for nearly 15 minutes before going into the restaurant and finding out they had lost our order! (How?) Reluctantly I went back in today when this happened again we asked for a refund and left. Only thing fast here is how quickly I lost my patience. Last time for this family I'm afraid! If I could have put no stars I would have.

So upset. I’m so hungover so I can’t drive my car so I thought I’d order a McDonald’s. I ordered at half 10 they canceled my order at 1 min past 11 so I couldn’t order any breakfast no explanation it’s just so rude

Thirty-minute wait for a basic burger. Fast food? I don't think so.

Drive thru 18/1/25 I was waiting in the queue and so a couple of rats as we moved along in the queue we saw more rats we then had to wait in the car park as order wasn’t ready ok no problem but was greeted by more rats next to the bushes in the car park with bags of rubbish next to main doors what an absolute disgrace will not visit again

Served at the drive through window by a young man by the name jacob, he is definitley in the wrong career someone give that bloke a stand up show! Made my night with his jokes and conversation. Really freindly!

Came in for the new Pokemon Card sets in the Happy meals, they haven’t even started the promotion in this shop yet but they have in others. The shop is absolutely packed and hard to stand and wait for food as there were no tables. Had to wait for a table and people kept taking them before I even got to one. There was about a 15 minute wait on food which was annoying. When it came out it wasn’t anything to be amazed over. Messy burgers with a lot of lettuce. They did however follow the grill order correctly. The milkshake and frappe weren’t good at all. The cream had melted on the frappe and the syrup ontop of the cream wasn’t an ‘M’ and the milkshake machine obviously hasn’t been calibrated in a while as it overfilled the cup and went all over the place. The only saving grace about the service was the Asian cleaner. She was really polite and didn’t stop working through the school end period when the shop was packed. It wasn’t a great experience as it’s not fast food anymore and the food wasn’t dressed correctly, drinks were great. The music was amazing though. 5 ⭐️ for the music.

Food cold under cooked and greasy staff disinterested

Honestamente, ni siquiera te molestes en malgastar tu dinero aquí. Cada vez que he pedido en línea se equivocan todo, falta comida, y siempre hace frío helado. Necesitan en serio arruinar sus ideas. Quiero decir, uno pensaría que todos son completamente incompetentes para hacer su maldito trabajo. Pérdida de tiempo pensando en pedir desde aquí y siempre resulta ser una pérdida de dinero. Y uno puede pensar que estoy exagerando, pero honestamente no es difícil leer un pedido y poner todo en el pedido en la bolsa. Y si ni siquiera puedes hacer tu trabajo correctamente en McDonald’s, entonces no tienes ninguna oportunidad lmao.

I enjoyed breakfast here, very tasty and great value and good quality.

Orderd food takeaway when we got home my daughter being a vegetarian took a bite from her cheese dippers only to realise they were chicken nuggets in the wrong bag we took them back, complained the manager was great and apologised and gave a full refund.

I'm basing on only a Cappuccino, regular £1.99 Was milky and slightly hotter than warm Was very busy. Has a drive-through. The new lids are great, nice and tight.

Service poor, wow you have to pay for an expresso, no way isn’t that the case for all coffees ? Cash in hand no expresso allegedly don’t have a till to put my order they forgot through. Bull

I just ordered 1 egg and cheese muffin and a latte. With table service for number 105. The order came within 1 minute. The Burger did not have cheese slice and the coffee was very cold. Not happy. I had to go home and reheat coffee and use cheese slice from home.

Slow service then got home to find the order completely wrong

Needs closing down 30+ mins waiting for food, arrived cold, rude staff, awful service.

Service is always polite and friendly but have never managed to have a hot order from here, ever, in 20 years of living in the area and eating here. Doesn't matter if go when it is busy or when it is quiet. It's always cold. Also, you need to check your order, as there is frequently items missing. Just paid for a breakfast meal and got home to find item missing.

Food was ok, but wait times for not very busy restaurant (less than half filled) was poor, and staff couldn't be less enthusiastic, giving wrong orders to wrong table and not even paying attention or caring

ordered the wrap of the day as a meal ( chips and coke ) inside on the order machine …. And waited 22 minutes to hand me the food I could have cooked a chicken and made a full Sunday lunch in the time I got a wrap NOT FAST FOOD unsure what they all do in there but it’s the slowest fast food place I’ve ever seen 22 minutes from paying for order and getting in hand. The Mcdonald brothers would not be believing how bad the service got …..

Used drive through Only ordered a burger & fries for my daughter & had to park up & wait. Struggled to find a parking space very awkward& small parking area. Had to wait several minutes for a space to become available. Waited several more minutes for order which when arrived was only luke warn at best.

Although busy, staff were pleasant and tried their best to create a warm atmosphere

workers probably can’t read if they can’t even make a simple cheeseburger.

It would of been nice to get everything i ordered. Having items missing happens far too often and when trying to contact them they either answer and then hang up or don't even bother answering. Poor customer service.

¡Increíble! Todos los pedidos que he recibido han faltado artículos y no estoy hablando de un McFlurry o bebida, estoy hablando de las comidas principales. Solo recibí la bebida de la orden! Es aún más molesto cuando pides a través de la aplicación que te lo entreguen para luego tener artículos que faltan y cada vez que te pones en contacto con el restaurante todo lo que consigues es “estamos muy ocupados, tendrás que pasar” ¡bueno, de qué sirve pagar por la entrega! Creo que he recibido 1 pedido que ha sido correcto de los años que he estado. ¡Absolutamente desastroso! Peor McDonald’s para hacer un pedido.

Slowest McDonald's I've been to.

I come to McDonald’s sometimes for a pick me up after the gym if I havnt brought a snack with me. Some nights Jacob works there and always makes mine and my fiancés night. He goes up and beyond with his customer service and always makes us laugh! This man needs a pay rise!

staff are idiots made me pay twice for my order had to redo the whole thing when it was on the app been charged twice the boy on the first window had absolutely no idea and customer service was shocking

El drive thru debe ser renombrado a “drive thru - que te digan que aparques en el aparcamiento - que te traigan artículos al azar - luego espera con tu media orden mientras hace frío - antes de que aparezcan con el resto” 2 . Cuando recibas tu pedido las patatas fritas saben como si las hubieran cepillado del suelo desde ayer. Mejor descrito como gomoso o no comestible. 3 . La máquina McFlurry nunca está encendida. Aparentemente es un dolor de limpiar. 4 . El personal está desmotivado. Según un funcionario, esto se debe a que los administradores codiciosos reducen las horas y el número de funcionarios, a pesar del mismo nivel de actividad. 5 . Hay dos unidades a través de puntos de pedido, pero es suerte de bote cuál elige. Sentado a uno durante 10 minutos esperando mientras 3 coches pasaban por el otro. 6 . Las hamburguesas parecen haber sido arrojadas al otro lado de la habitación después de ser hechas. En resumen vaya a KFC o Bells está bien. ¡Este McDonald’s muestra cómo no se hace correctamente!

The longest wait ever in a McDonalds food. The place was full but people were table blocking. All the staff worked at one speed slow

Basic Macdonald's. Clean and bright. No problems. Very nice staff.

Had a mcchicken and triple cheese burger. The mcchicken was a bit dry and not particularly hot. The cheeseburger on the other hand, the best burger I've had from McDonald's in years. Cheese was actually melted, patties hot and gooey. I'm used to dry but edible burgers, but this was actually a good burger. Whoever cooked that needs to get themselves a job in a proper kitchen not McDonald's.

Mi visita fue a las 8 de la noche y el lugar era muy tranquilo, así que no hay excusa para el estado del restaurante.

I wish I knew the young man's name who served us at the Arnison centre MacDonalds on Sunday afternoon. He was very polite and professional. He noticed that I ordered a big Mac without the bun and sent over a knife and fork without us having to ask. These young people who work in MacDonalds have always been respectful, very helpful and I hope the managers notice it too and treat them well. I imagine it to be a bit of a thankless task for them sometimes but hopefully most of us customers appreciate their hard work. Thank you very much young man.

Soooo slooooow La comida era del estándar habitual y el viaje en coche no parecía lento, pero OMG la espera en el restaurante me hizo pensar que había un granjero solo desenterrando las patatas. Nunca he esperado tanto en McDonald’s. Estoy seguro de que el personal es encantador, pero si le pidiera a un montón de pensionistas con hueso que nunca habían visto una freidora en su larga vida para tener una oportunidad estoy seguro de que podrían haber preparado nuestro pedido más rápido.

Absolutely ridiculous drive through. Ran by kids who haven’t got a clue! Absolute joke. Where is the manager? These poor children can’t run a restaurant on their own need an adult to support

Probably the slowest service I've ever had ordered double sausage and egg meal at 7 am didn't receive it until 7.25

I have been there many times and every time i have been there late at night after finisheing work. Whatever i order there has always been something missing from the order 90% of the time the most expensive item of my orderand i only ever notice after ive walked home. The main food items ive been missing out off include the chicken big mac, chicken strip select (which was swiched for chicken nuggets which is allot cheeper) and most reasently completly missing the double big mac with bacon. Improvent needs to be made to not scam costomers out of items of food every night

Went there with my mum while sister in opticians.

Sometimes you get told to drive round to the bay things and other times you're sat behind someone else for ages that didn't get told the same which is a bit weird. Inside is okay but the same as every other McDonald's, clean floors that look mucky all the time, broken tables and chairs.

Go there every Thursday with grandchildren. Food is ok but for some reason the ice cream machine is always out of order. Went 3 weeks running and not available. But over the last few months it’s more likely to be out of action than up and running. If it’s always breaking down get a new one . I’m sure Ronald has enough readies to do this!

Very crowded in the dinner rush with no where to sit, so had to take out. The wait time was also around 15 minutes for a fairly small order.

Really gone downhill. Think I've been able to get a McFlurry once in the last 6 months. They're never available. I've tried lunchtime, teatime, late evening. When asked I'm always told they have to clean the machines. It's 5.20pm and I can't get one now. Why are you cleaning machines at the most busy times? I suspect you're not. I get an ice cream isnt a huge deal to many but for my Autistic fries and ice cream obsession I tell you it's a huge deal. It's a difference between eating and having a meltdown and not eating deal. Always have to wait in the car park for my order too. No other McDonald's makes me do this every single time. I avoid it now. Would rather drive further to get the food I want and still probably quicker than waiting here. I don't get it. The staff are always friendly however, shame I don't go for the chat though.

Got the new big mac with bacon meal bacon was missing my daughter got a large coke and it was basically just water and the chips where shocking

Drive through was ridiculous, two ordering lanes going into one pay and pick up lane. Did NOT run quickly or smoothly, everyone trying to get to collect point first.. my first and last time here...

Having read some poor reviews about this McDonald’s I have to say it was spot on, and deserves a good review for my visit. Used drive through only took a few mins, food was good, fresh and hot. Car park small but parked no problem, never seen as many rubbish bins at a McDonald’s before. 1.30pm visit on a Thursday.

Quite a small McDonald's. Tight turns in the car park and the drive through. Standard McDonald's menu. Beware the 4 hour limit automated parking charge cameras for the shopping centre which also cover this McDonald's.

Horrendous Waited almost half an hour for food ordered in app, other people got their order and had to take it back as it was wrong Ridiculous

I bought a McCrispy and it felt like I was eating a little slice of heaven that had been carefully put inside a little cardboard box by angels.

It's McDonald's..........it's rubbish!

Very disappointing branch, McFlurry's always seem to be unavailable on our early evening visits. Last time, ordered a triple cheeseburger, only got a double. Service is quite slow too and food is often not very warm. Bit of a trek through Durham to Dragonville but that one seems much better. The Arnison Centre one is consistently disappointing.

Typical MacDonalds, only issue is that the car park was extremely small and had to park in the Sainsbury's car park and walk over

Popped in a couple of times as my son was in hospital and this was a nice little break for me. Always order via app as love their rewards points. But what I liked about this restaurant was that every parking space is numbered, therefore you can park anywhere and have the food delivered to your car instead of having to park in only a couple of designated spaces.

i ordered 6 nuggets and instead got a quarter pounder (brilliant start), ordered a plain cheeseburger with bacon because the only things i like are the burger, cheese, and bacon (not even the ketchup) so they give me a plain cheeseburger without the bacon which i paid extra for and then a double cheeseburger with bacon and ketchup (thanks). there was no straw for my drink and there was a hair in the cheeseburger. absolutely disgusting i understand yous are busy constantly but pack accuracy is important otherwise you get angry customers

Hot fresh food, used drive through and waited in car park and food brought to your car. Fast and efficient. Best McDonald's around.

Never ever visiting McDonald’s in arniston centre ever again. I got the quarter pounder with cheese burger and I am 100% positive there was something wrong with the way it was cooked. By the time I got home I felt sick and next day I felt awful. I did phone McDonald’s and obviously they saying it wasn’t nothing wrong with their food. Horrible food and disgraceful customer service.

Nice McDonalds as they go. However, do check your order before you move especially if you customise. Apart from that, nice area, nice staff, nice people.

I stopped for a bite to eat on my way home from a concert, the staff member who served me was friendly and smiley, the food .... the chips were fresh and hot, the milkshake was cold, the burger was like cardboard, it wasn't fresh it was Luke warm in fact I ended up only eating half of it.... I won't visit again as it's a little pot luck on freshness

Asked to park up and wait for my order in the car park. My order was 1 beef burger and 2 fries. So much for fast food.

The food was nice however when they came with my food they spilt the drink and did not replace this drink.

Honestly, every time at drive through or delivery - half the order is missing. Is it really that difficult to check the receipt against the item in the bag?? Just had a delivery ( I thought I'd give the benefit of the doubt after the last time) half of it's missing - again! Rang store, fobbed off with ring uber - who never answer. Absolute con. Avoid unless you're in store and watch them pack your order.

Visit here on the 27th of march order a double cheese burger meal with a coffee the burger was not tasty the cheese is tasteless it had raw white onion in the bun was so thin that the burger slipped out it was like a pile of slopes on a soggy bun I managed to eat have of it then into the bin how people eat this rubbish I don’t know since getting back home I've had a upset stomach my advice is go somewhere else for a proper berger

Arnison centre Durham Drive through was extremely busy, waited over 35mins from ordering to receiving food. Order was... chicken nugget happy meal Bbq sauce Book not a toy Fruitshoot drink and a kit kat flurry. I received the following and didn't realise till I got home.. Cheeseburger happy meal No sauce Toy nit a book Fresh orange juice!! Worse service I have experienced at any McDonald's

I ordered my burger with bacon, was served without. They forgot one of the drinks of the happy meals. Everything was resolved though by staff at counter.

Not much room for my mother's wheelchair. Far too much salt on fries but food was OK apart from that.
