Got this for 7.70 and it might be the worst fish and chips I’ve had, barely any fish at all with burnt batter on the outside

Immaculate clean staff really friendly the cod was cooked to order . I asked for extra crispy it was just perfect . Chips were “proper” loads of them . £9.70 good value

This used to be my favourite chippy but it has gone downhill considerably. We ordered fish bites, chips, mushy peas and curry sauce. Everything was swimming in grease, so much so that it soaked through 9 layers of chip paper, making a hole in the package by the time we got home a mile away. The chips had a weird bitter aftertaste making them inedible. The fish bites were soggy with the batter sliding off them as soon as they were touched. The mushy peas were watery and tasteless and the curry sauce was like jelly. The portions sizes are good and the staff are friendly but I won't be visiting again. £24 meal went in the bin.

You need to change the oil batter was brown not golden and very greasy

Food was horrible the chips were like chewin on a peice of leather chips must of been sat theit a while. the fish was not the best I've had better l from else where personally.

Fish and chip shop with medium or large cod the only fish on sale. Plenty of other items to choose from. Friendly staff. I ordered two large cod with one large chips and curry sauce. Cost £20+. When we sat to eat it at home, we found the fish was plentiful and chips were just the right amount for us both. Only problem was, alot of the batter had disappeared off of the fish and what was left was very salty. Take it off and the rest of the fish was ok.

Lunchtime fish leftovers. The fish was barely warm and the batter overcooked and soggy. They obviously don't rely on repeat business. I certainly will not be going back.

Meant to close at 4.00pm so you would think they would serve you at 3.35pm, called In to order 4 x fish and chips with extras (curry, buns and pop) looked at me as though I couldn't tell the time, "we close at 4" so you must need to order and get there way before then as all cleaned up, saw more people going just after to be turned away, in my days close at 4.00pm meant we will serve until 4.00pm but obviously not the case.

Nice food nice drivers fair prices. Our goto every single time. EDIT...The past three times now foods come burnt. Last night was the 3rd time in a row. First two times we got fish both burnt, last night sausage also burnt within an inch of its life. 3 strikes and your out for me like. Time to find a new chippy, actually gutted I've been going here forever 😔

Fish batter was wet and soggy not nice and crispy the chips were like boiled potatoes with loads of grease pan needs turning up a touch and both need leaving it to crisp up a bit for £45 you expect it to be nice

Had tea from here tonight, won't be returning. Fish was tasteless, chips were inedible - hard, chewy and definitely not fresh. Complete waste of money.

Always use this chippy, but just had fish and chips and it was awful. The chips were like cardboard and cold. The fish with no batter was like cardboard too. Very disappointed 😞

Got two portions of fish and chips person who took order didn't seem to be listening to me. Order arrived quick from there !! Fish nice until putting out to go with chips and found that chips almost cold and tasted dirty and reheated rang shop to complain said they would send fresh chips arrived again one bag instead of two and then asked for money for them which I refused delivery man rang shop and sorted it but he said they said it was extra chips to pay for disgusted and we didn't enjoy fish as it had to be reheated and spoilt it feeling very let down and person who takes orders needs lesson on how to do job properly

Closed at 20:30 on a Friday then went a few days later and got a battered sausage and it was raw. I think it’s new owners, so I won’t be going again.

The fish used to be lovely, but the last couple of times is has been horrible, soggy batter and cold chips not impressed anymore

As all my usual chip shops were shut, I drove a little further to this one. Well worth the visit and will certainly be back. Breaded fish was excellent as were chips. Very fresh and made to order. The mince pie supper was also welcome as usual shops don’t sell this particular item. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. You have a new customer.

Visited here unexpectedly on the way back home. 3 small fiah and chips, portions were more than big enough. Fish was lovely and white with just the right amount of batter. Chips were totally lush too. Thoroughly enjoyed by all, even the dog!!!

popped in tonight was completely ignored a customer sho came in after me was then served before me and what I had wanted (fish bites) the last of were sold by telephone order before I could place my order having been totally ignored I'm being generous marking this as average because the food is pretty good and prices aren't bad but service leaves a lot to be desired

My mam has just moved into the area we popped in here for a quick tea, and we were not disappointed. Portions were a good size and a fish a small fish and 1 portion of chips with more than enough and absolutely delicious

I bought Fish and Chips and mushy peas on Good Friday. I phoned the order in for 1.30 pm , the order was being put up as I got there. My family said the best they had ever had. The Cod was white and flaky and so creamy. I would recommend this Fish shop to anyone. They also do delivery and have a large menu

Called in after a long day at work, both girls serving were lovely and helpful, extra quick service and the best fish and Chips we've had in ages... Cooked to perfection without that horrible greasy coating u get from some places! Which is a rarity in these parts! Would defo recommend, will be back soon!

Discovered this Chippy on my walk to the shops in Brandon while staying in the Bay Horse Inn.

Called in For Cod and Chips while visiting friends in Brandon, fish and chips was the best I have tasted in the North East. While the staff were friendly, efficient and committed to quality service and satisfaction. A real find.

Discovered this place while staying at the Bay Horse up the road. Great fish and chips. The cod was huge and moist and tasty with lashings of great chips! A real feast and the staff were great too...
