McDonald's in County Durham

Never got jam or a spoon with my porridge plus it was cold the lad behind the counter was slow and not bothered I'd sack him

Nappies old left or bags under the toilets for mum you need better cleaners.

We visited twice during our week at local haven site. Food was fast and very warm. Service was polite and friendly. Only forgot one item once and was very happy to accept that they made a mistake and appologied. Parking isn't huge but being near a few large shops park there and walk across. Also located so close to A1 and town is a bonus for holiday makers and passers by.

Let's face it we all complain about McDonald's and the chips being rubbish and cold, and the burgers being substandard, and whilst yes that's true we all still choose to eat there, and whilst the staff may look miserable and for all we know probably are because everyone looks down on them for working at McDonald's, despite the fact that you're probably in a dead end job hating your own life, you still eat there, and if you want an atmosphere that's quite and luxury why are you eating at McDonald's, that's right it's probably all you can afford, so quit moaning and eat your big mac and let others be, because whilst it may be garbage you're still eating there, and that was your choice, remember that.

Efficient friendly staff and with better quality beef in the burger I would have given 5 stars even if the latte was poor.

Julie! What a woman! She was absolutely amazing with my 4 children, my 1 year old son took a shine to her immediately! She went above and beyond, she didn’t have to but she did, felt like I’d bumped into an old friend! After a stressful full day driving with children Julie made us feel at ease and made our day a lot better! Thank you so much!

Very rude manager. Was stood waiting to pick up a delivery for around 5 minutes while getting ignored by the staff when it wasn’t even busy. The manager stood talking to someone complaining about their work. When I said “excuse me” to the manager she snapped at me and said “one minute” while walking away not even looking at me and proceeded to ignore me. It took another member of staff to acknowledge me to get the food. The whole time it was ready on the bench which I could see.

Standard McDonald's affair, in this case food was good, staff were friendly and tables were clean. Can't ask anymore of a fast food restaurant really.

Bigmac and large fries. Big mac was tasteless fries large looked like a small.size big mac???? Was very small ordered large coke no ice got small coke with ice?? Total crap I will never go back to mc Donald's..stick to burger king

Easy going, Capable of housing twice the customers in their closed upper floor.

It was a quick service and enjoyed our breakfast in the parking lot.

Great late night stop at McDonald's, nuggets absolutely perfect and the mood in the kitchen positive and engaging.

Used this mcdonald's for years but had an unpleasant experience today. Ordered the £5 deal which was £6 in total when I changed the drink to a strawberry milkshake. Got to the till and handed over my £6 in cash for the order and moved on to the next window. When I got to the next window I was told by the server I was £1 short and had only handed over £5. I explained that I handed over 4 £1 coins and a £2 coin so he went off speaking to the young lady who had taken my money and then came back saying I hadn't given her anything!!!! I told him that I was going nowhere until I either had my money returned or the food. Eventually I received my food after 10 minutes. I don't normally make comment on sites but thought I had to when your being accused of being a liar.

Food was like warm and tasted awful

Stopped here and came through the drive through. Staff was very happy, helpful & pleasant. Food was as good as it gets from McDonald's, and didn't look thrown together like from most branches. All round a good visit 👌🏼

Toy meant to come with meal was missing ?? Why am i not getting what i paid for.

Drive through. Banana milkshake. Worked for me. Packaging was a bit suspect, lid came off far to easily and straw was not a thick as could have been.

Look, I'm not gonna give anyone shit in person for it because I know how working in McDonald's goes, but this is the third time in a row they've got my order wrong. First it was missing out a large Fry's, next it was missing 9 chicken nuggets and now they've given me a plain cheese and I paid for a plain double cheese. It's not tooooo hard lads come on...

Food arrived cold, items missing, bag was open and some items were damaged. Absolutely terrible service.

Pretty old school, miserable services but plenty of seating within the restaurant, big car park, lots of charging points (7 at last count) and decent food at McDonald's.

Food is exactly as you would expect. Restaurant is clean and not too busy for sitting in. Staff are friendly.

absolutely abysmal from McDonald's! ordered my meal at around 7:25pm, said food was going to take around 25 mins. kept checking on the just app and they continued to add on time again and again and again. Foof finally arrived well over a hr late and then to add to the lateness the food was absolutely stone cold.

McDonald's food delivery arrived it was already open so for safety and health I decided not to to touch for granddaughter safety as I don't know what driver done to to was not taking any chances

Ordered burgers and chips share deal and a small coke and all I received is a small coke. Woman didn’t speak a word of English and left with out explanation

Well, I'm not usually a fan of fast food. I follow a strict vegan lifestyle. Hower, we came out of the MOBO Awards at Utilita Arena Newcastle, absolutely hungry. Decided to stop off at the services. All I can say is the vegan burger tasted alright, considering I don't know its ingredients.

Food was barely room temperature, mozzarella sticks and chips smelt and tasted like they’d been cooked in a coal fire.

Completely wrong order received

First delivery driver to find our house straight away so that was amazing thanks very much, food was bit cold think that was down to McDonald’s as food arrived straight away

I didn’t get one thing I ordered! The food that was delivered was totally wrong. Thankfully I caught the driver to tell her before she drove off. After checking all orders mine wasn’t even there! Food was already marked as delivered and she took the wrong order away! No food and still no refund! Seriously not impressed!

Ordered a big mac, got to say it was absolutely pathetic. The beef burger looked like it had gone through a slicer it was wafer thin lucky if it was 2-3mm thick this can't be right can it? Wish I had took a photo now. Will not be going McDonald's again.

Either I was lucky or they are doing it right. I recommend it for a Mac.

A decent McDonald's with quick service and a nice seating area.

I asked for the food to be brought to the table, it was ready very quickly. There is a large space, everywhere is clean. There are many opportunities for children to keep themselves busy. Wifi unfortunately did not wake up 😳

The whole meal stone cold! I ordered 9 chicken select & got chicken nuggets! So not happy what a waste of £30! Never ordered from here again!! 😤😤😤

Absolutely ridiculous, food was delivered to the wrong house when I rang up to ask about what happened they gave me a response telling me they couldn’t do anything about it as it’s through just eat so they can’t do anything and have to go through the app no help whatsoever

I have not received my order and has been delivered to the wrong location this is unacceptable as i have spent over £30 pounds and i am not happy with my experience.

Visited McDonald's Bowburn for some breakfast before heading over to the lake district. Ordered on the easy to use app and had to give a code at the drive thru to process the order. The order was given to us swiftly. We checked over the order in the drive thru to ensure everything was correct and the guy at the window was very accommodating. The food was nice, I combined the bacon sandwich with the hash brown to make a breakfast sandwich.

Was quick delivery especially with weather but all cold except chicken

The food wasnt very hot, there should be more self serve order screens for the size of the place. And there could be a better layout of seating. Could do with more staff on the floor as the cleaning person was rushed off their feet.

it was my first time ordering from McDonald's but I'm not sure wether it was my sausage fingers that ordered the big tasty large meal and did not get fries with it! or wether they had no fries left! which left me wondering what to do with the barbecue dip 🤔

This is the fourth time that this McDonald’s has not put any of our sauces in. We ordered four sweet curry sauces with our 20 chicken nuggets and yet AGAIN have not received sauces OR any straws

My order was 2.5 hours late and the food had been stood in McDonald’s for the entire time. Absolutely disgrace! I would like further information for complaints procedure!
