Came here for the first time since Covid and were VERY disappointed. We ordered hot drinks and cakes. The cakes came quickly and then we waited and waited for our drinks for about 15 mins, by which time the cakes had been almost finished. The rock cake was indeed rock hard too!! The staff seemed very unco-ordinated and one young waitress was just aimlessly going about. The tables were really close together again and you could hear the next tables full conversation-no privacy at all. The prices were also a lot higher than before as well-dearer than most other coffee shops. For example £9.99 for soup and a filled roll. Will think twice about returning-the whole experience put us off completely.

Found this lovely garden centre cafe just by chance. Welcomed into the cafe by a really nice waitress. We only had tea and scones but both were delicious. Scone of the day was ginger and date and it was obviously freshly made and very tasty. Reasonable price and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be added to our favourites. See you again soon as the lunches on the table next to us looked smashing!

It’s sad that when you’re sitting enjoying your fine piece and coffee that the tables are being packed away and the fridge cleaned as if as paying customers we were being rushed because staff wanted to go home.

This is our favourite stop for breakfast on our way to Aberdeen. I had the cooked breakfast and my wife had a sausage and egg roll. Everything we had was excellent and good quality local produce. Staff as always very friendly.

Greeted by the Chef upon arrival, big cherry smile and a welcome sir please take a seat. Ordered a bacon roll and a coffee which was fine, time was 9.15. Also asked the waitress if I could have a sandwich to go. No, I'm sorry was the response, we don't do sandwiches until 11 am. There were no more than half a dozen people in the place so not exactly hashed. I cannot understand a catering business that turns down money for an item they actually provide purely because it's not 11am. I wonder what the owner of the business would think, or the Chef for that matter. I wonder what my customer would say if I turned them down because it wasn't 11 am.Went to pay the bill and the same girls told me if I used a card there would be an admin charge as it was £4.95 and not £5. That's a stupid rule I said, yes but not my rule was the sarcastic response. I'll go to M&S for my bacon roll & sandwich from now on. That's what I love about big corporate machines, they are always happy to take your money. Thanks Parkhill Garden Centre, I won't be back.

We have visited this restaurant several times recently for lunch or breakfast. The lunch menu is extensive with plenty of options for sandwich/baked potato fillings. We have always been seated quickly after arriving at the restaurant and the staff are friendly. The range of hot drinks and home bakes is also very good! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area as I have never been disappointed on any of our visits.

Visited recently for lunch and was not impressed by the service. We were shown to a table and then promptly ignored. We counted at least 4 tables who arrived after us and had their order taken and received their food before anyone came to us. We tried to catch the eye of 2 waitresses but must have been invisible. Another waitress definitely saw us when she took the order of people sitting next to us. When our order was eventually taken, there was no apology for keeping us waiting. It might help if waiting staff had their own area to look after and they would be more likely to notice people still sitting with their menus. Food was fine but first impressions are important and I am unlikely to return.

We go regularly to the Parkhill Garden Centre and often time our visit to include lunch. The food is very fresh, beautifully presented and the service is excellent. Season's is also a cafe with superb home bakes. The salmon and prawn salad is really, really good - I could not improve on it.This place is busy around lunch time - you might have to wait to be seated but it's worth it.Not a "smart" place - just excellent fresh food served with a smile.

Firstly, we really like going here. The biggest let-down is that they have 'wait to be seated' policy but they don't seem to be able to manage it when they're busy. A few times now we've walked away when there has been a small queue and just been left waiting and unacknowledged. No-one is allocated to 'greet' and place customers even with empty seats. Very frustrating. C'mon guys get it sorted out - you're letting profits walk!

I have been here quite often and like the food in the cafe - the usual soup, sandwiches, baked potates etc., and the Garden Centre. On this occasion, I was a little disappointed because the parsnip soup which I usually love had bacon in it. As a vegetarian, I wasn't able to have this. My meat-eating partner did have the soup and thought that it would have been better without the bacon, as it over-powered the flavour of the parsnips. I had the Leek and potato instead and it was ok, but nothing special. I decided to have a pannini and asked if the pesto had parmesan in it. Any cook/chef should be aware that parmesan is not suitable for vegetarians because of animal rennet, but the pannini with pesto had a (v) marked beside it. The waitress went to check and came back to say that the pesto does contain parmesan - anything with parmesan should not be marked as vegetarian.Overall, I do like both the cafe and garden centre, and usually get a good lunch here and I love the ginger and date loaf, but they do need to be more careful with their vegetarian labelling.

I drove a few miles out of Aberdeen to find this place. It's not very big, but I was quickly seated. The menu has all the traditional sandwiches, baked potatoes etc, and there is a specials board. I was tempted by the beef olives, but sadly they were finished, so I had a baked potato with beans and cheese which was perfectly acceptable. After that there is a good choice of scones, cakes and tray bakes, and I had a decent Malteser slice with my pot of tea. Along with a glass of milk the bill was still under £10 and I was satisfied. There was also a nice view out the window as the sun descended and the sky turned red. There are other garden centres which are much bigger, and have a huge range of goods on sale. This one seems very much plant orientated with not much else. I have added it to my list of places to go when I don't want to travel far out of town.

cake and coffee with my mum-in-law. Trip out for jolly together. One waitress was very friendly the other didn't say anything to us. cake was very pleasant. Décor wasn't very special, just looked like a cheap café. This is within the garden centre. Garden centre is more plant focused than some bigger enterprises that have loads of gifts and clothes etc

We were in the area on a Sunday morning and decided to go in for breakfast, turned out to be a very bad choice, had bacon and egg, the bacon looked like it had either been in a deep fat fryer or fried previously then refried, was as hard as a brick except for one slice which looked freshly cooked, eggs overcooked too, We had mixed toast and the white toast was barely toasted, not nice at all, probably the worst breakfast I have ever been presented with, dont know why anyone who cooks for a living would think it was acceptable to serve to people. This place has good scone and homebakes but wouldn't bother going back for anything other than that.

I am so surprised that no one else has posted a review of this coffee shop & restaurant - maybe they don't want everyone to know how good it is!It offers a great range of sandwiches, baked potatoes, paninis, soup and delicious cakes and always seems busy. It does delicious looking afternoon teas at £12 for two and if you're out & about early, it also does breakfasts.Todays lentil & bacon soup was fine, accompanied by deeply filled tuna sandwiches and the roast beef & mozzarella panini, served with salad, coleslaw & crisps oozed flavour. The ladies serving are very efficient and tables are cleared and rearranged quickly to accommodate the flow of customers.

Enjoyed a great lunch at this popular restaurant, which I've visited on a number of occasions. The restaurant always seems busy and the staff are friendly & efficient. with orders taken & tables cleared promptly.Clientele includes young families, elderly & working folk and the restaurant is wheelchair friendly.Daily specials are available, two different homemade soups (one vegetarian), salads and a couple of hot dishes, as well as a wide range of sandwiches, paninis, baked potatoes and desserts. The soup & sandwich combination is very good value for money and the selection of traybakes & cakes extensive. The lentil soup was especially good on the last visit and the malted brown bread on the generously filled sandwiches was delicious.Takeaway is available on request and a portion of sticky toffee pudding quite often makes it's way home for later consumption.

McNasty’s?? Should be called McNicey’s!! First time here, first impressions excellent. Clean looking from outside, food reasonably priced and inviting. Bar staff are very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. Instantly greeted by Laura at the bar with a very friendly hello love, how are you? and took my drinks order. I was instantly blown away by the service…not what I am used to at all. Even brought my drink to the table and suggested the best place to sit. Amazing atmosphere. As I am writing this, there is a male vocalist singing, what a voice! Bought him a pint and requested a Johnny Cash song, which he sang straightaway. Karaoke later (the reason I came here) and I have high expectations now. I am sure it will be a brilliant night. Aberdeen always is. I will certainly consider this my favourite pub so far. Yet to try the food here…that will be tomorrow! 😀😂 And yes…back for karaoke again! Just hope my voice holds up…..
