O'Neill's Irish Pub in Aberdeen City

Would like to thank the staff at O’niells and Hot Chick restaurant, who were kind enough to keep us updated with mistakes made by just eat, we waited nearly 2 hours to be assigned to a driver and the staff were so kind to be on the phone to just eat several times to help us as we couldn’t contact them. With remaking our food as well! Can’t thank them enough!!

Very quiet when we visited the two of us doubled the capacity at lunchtime. Didn't have any food just a G and T and a Guinness. My Guinness had to settle so I took a seat. As the place was quiet I thought the barmaid might have brought my drink over-wrong🙄. Shortly after an older couple came in and ordered food. The woman badly struggled to walk back to her seat with no offer of help from the barmaid. Is it me expecting good customer service? Certainly won't hurry back.

Came in for a drink and stayed for a meal. Good quality burgers and drink was reasonably priced. Had live music on which I was informed happens most Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights. Staff polite and attentive

Horrible experience in an Irish bar, listening to some idiot constantly playing English songs, it’s an Irish bar ffs, never be back, lots left the pub, management take a proper look at yourselfs, no wonder the place was dead!!

Absolutely fantastic experience at O’Neill’s Aberdeen! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing with great energy, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. Special shoutout to Dillon, who made our night even better with his friendly service and spot-on recommendations. He was attentive, fun, and just an all-around legend. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the vibe was perfect for a great night out. Highly recommend O’Neill’s – we’ll definitely be back! Thanks again, Dillon!

Came into o’Neills on a Thursday night for a bite to eat and to watch the football. Had the stonebased pizza which was unbelievable and great value. Bar staff especially Ellen couldn’t be friendlier and will now be our usual haunt! Live music also which just added to a fantastic night.

Ellen and Marcie were excellent tonight! Full bar and paid extra attention to us when we needed. Can't speak more about how lovely the bar staff are 10/10 would recommend!

It always a delight to come here for a positive experience and to be looked after. Food is what’s fantastic! However Pelumi always goes above and beyond to ensure our glass is never empty and good banter. Definitely recommend for service and live music!

I came into o'neills a couple weeks ago, and had a delicious meal. I was greeted by 2 lovely girls, called Ruth and Amelia. They ensured that I was well looked after and were very polite, would highly recommend.

I was at O'Neill's on Saturday, and I had a great time. Kassie, the bartender, was really nice and gave me lots of drink options. I made sure to try them all, and they were all amazing. The live music was fantastic. I definitely recommend O'Neill's for a good night out!

I recently traveled from Turkey to Aberdeen for a holiday and decided to visit O'Neill's. The experience was absolutely fantastic. Kassie, the bartender, was exceptionally professional and friendly, with a warm smile that made the evening even more enjoyable and the food was amazing(complements to the chef) I highly recommend O'Neill's for an outstanding experience.

Came here while visiting friends for the week and the staff were nothing but fun

Drink a cold and good Guinness no more no less

Great bar one of my favourite. This was a bar my Dad frequented when it was called the Tappit Hen so has sentimental attachment. Live music every weekend and always good to see brewdog on draught. It would be lovely to see some sort of reference on the wall with a picture of the old Tappit as there is a long history in this cracking boozer!

Lauren was great, pub had great atmosphere, will be back for sure.

Busy little wine bar, staff very friendly and helpful, only there for one drink but staff brought complimentary snacks and table water.

Great wee pub! Great pints and food. The staff are always friendly, especially Lauren and Grace. They also show a variety of sports, including boxing and UFC.

Nice restaurant with good food, quite inexpensive by Scottish standards. Live music and friendly service are another feature. We would go there again.

Absolutely appalling.. ordered a scampi with chips and additional side salad in O'Neil's, Backwynd Aberdeen only to receive on my plate 9 pieces of scampi, kiddies portion of peas, no chips where I had to return to the bar to request them.. when I did receive them they were awful..(overcooked, brown and undercooked, White) also the side salad with only a few sliced wrinkled baby tomatoes and seemingly disgusting saggy lettuce with horrible brown stale cracks in it.. nothing else, the salad looked like it had been recovered from a food bin after aday or possibly they day before.. no way was gonna eat that.. Yuk 🤮 Very disappointed as my prior visits were nothing like this and very much the opposite. I therefore asked to speak to the manager in order to make my complaint, where a woman claiming to be the duty manager, who wasn't even concerned about it and told me to contact head office, which I did and didn't even get a refund by her or the head office after leaving the meal uneaten on the table, that experience has been most upsetting and confirmed that I have no intention of returning to O'Neil's anywhere due to staff obviously unsuitable for the positions given ie. Chefs and incompetent undesirable duty Management. PS.. Just keep my money 💰.. it's the last O'Neil's will get from me.

Nice enough pub in a convenient location and clearly training up new staff. Training at the bar area sounded very thorough and appropriate. Might be a good idea to give the long fair haired lass working Wednesday at five a refresher course. 😱

I had the Classic Grill Plate. Steak ordered medium came more well done, Chicken was okay, and pork was okay. I had to chew long so it wasnt perfectly cooked but for that price i didn't find that i have a right to complain. I had worse... Service was nice and of course the beer is always good. 3 TV screens with Sports and bathroom was super clean.

First time in long time I've actually enjoyed my lunch fish finger sandwich so fresh, my husband had guniness pie even he enjoyed it just less peas and more mash. Bbq melt tasted good as well. Drinks were alright need variety coffee/latte. Thank you again

It is not as Irish as it used to be. You used to be able to buy bottles of Irish Sauces and things to take away. Went in today, there were more TV screens than customers, with annoying, too loud Football on for such a small space. I had fish and chips but the fish was quite small, and the chips were actually Fries, which were half raw and not cooked through enough. But what do you expect for a £6.99 lunch? I still ate it though That included a drink. Not busy for an Easter Monday when we arrived at lunchtime. It seems to be more busy for Saint Patrick's Day, as people associate Irish people with drinking. (That's not a bad thing though)... Would love it if they played some nice Irish background music.
