Hass's Fish and Chips in Aberdeen City

Fish would have been good if it wasn't almost cold! Reheat just ruins it. This is becoming a norm for Aberdeen. it's time food outlets and delivery companies are properly licensed methinks. Parasites is what many call you!

Delivery was late and food cold, cheese hadn’t even melted on the chips. Sausage was soggy and barely cooked.

The food has came the food if burnt i have taken photographs i am not put up with this i am take this further i have take photographs i would mind but it was 23 pounds for the order cant eat the food so i would like something done about

Superb huge haddock , hot , crispy batter . Best yet. But no surprise.

Slightly later than latest estimate , fish and chips not hot enough but fish nice. Good size fish

Took 30 minutes for courier to arrive then another 30 minutes “preparing” Courier leaves after 65 minutes then goes in opposite direction with another order first. So not only was it late, it was also cold. It went in the bin. Disgusted with the service.

Yet again our go to chipper. Usually really good. Tonight the steak pies were too crispy however still tasty in the meat and gravy. Chips not as good as usual. Bit dry and crispy too. Not so consistent as previous.

Delivery about 40 minutes later than estimate and 15 minutes later than max estimate. Fish not bad but tail 3nd burnt and dry as it had been waiting @ out 50 minutes for driver to show at restaurant . Still mainly edible . usually delivery is early.

Was very disappointed with this order The chicken fillets were soaked in oil ,batter was just a soggy mess Chips were in my opinion undercooked Not the usual well cooked meal this time

it took 2 hours from time order to delivery food was cold and unedible could not eat it so went in the bin this used to be one of the best chip shops in aberdeen it is now easy to see how there ratings are bad.

Fish was very greasy. Disappointing.

Immediately trying to up-sell, unfriendly and outright rude. The difference in the atmosphere is huge but not for the better. Even though we were regular customers, won't be coming back.

Used to be a regular customer however this is the worst fish supper I have ever tasted. The haddock was thin and mostly dry batter. Tastless, frozen fish. Inedible and ended up in the bin. Not what I expect for a £30 order!!!

I have just eaten the worst fish supper it has ever been my misfortune to have been served. It was supposed to have been a jumbo supper but the piece of fish was nowhere near the size of any other “jumbo “ I have ever eaten. Size however was the least of this meal’s deficiencies. The batter was thick, tough and unappetising and the fish inside it hard and dry without a single moist piece of flaky haddock. A truly appalling meal.

Ordered large haddock. Half the fish was battered skin and it was not large. I have ordered from here lots in the past but never again!

Driver came inside the building shouting my name as he came up the stairs, he couldn’t find the address and was complaining that it wasn’t easy to find. He didn’t call to get directions but he spent ages looking apparently. Honestly the fact he was moaning about how challenging it was to locate the property is unacceptable my building isn’t difficult to find and there’s a sign outside saying 50-80. This isn’t my usual experience with the service as it’s normally not got an issue with the drivers

Really wish I could give minus rating, fish supper, grey fish horrid batter& tasteless chips, strange tinge to chicken fillets with really bad batter, steak pie could be used as corner stone for next major build in the city, sorry but used to be OK, now got to be one of the worst in city, £18:80 in the bin.

The del gentleman asked me for a code I never had a code he took delivery away and for some reason brought it back by this time it was stone cold never again and £24.00

Large Haddock certainly was large! And very tasty, nice white haddock and a crispy batter. The chips & cheese portion was also large, with plenty of cheese. Happy with what we got & would buy from Hass's again in future.

Food was never delivered. Shop never picked up the phone.

My large haddock was the same size as a standard or even small and wasn’t worth the money, certainly wasn’t freshly cooked to order . The fish was hard and chewy around all the edges only the centre was edible

Excellent meal for three. Great haddock fish, mock chop and sausage. Chips are great too!

Should of took a photo before binning it, absolute waste of money, soggy and stale tasting everything fell apart from the batter.. the fish smelled funny as well.. £16.60 for a fish supper and single sausage .. well and truly ripped off

chips were all crispy ends disappointed

Food was poor, pakora were overcooked, tough and inedible - even the dog struggled (refund requested). Chips, usually lovely, were hard and scrappy, hardly a full sized one in both our dinners.

Order from here a lot. Steak pies are always good however bit crispier this time. Not sure if we got a large portion of chips. Would still order again

Fish batter was on the greasy side

We use Hass for our chip shop takeaway. Tonight’s was probably the best steak pie and chips I’ve had in a long time. Steak pie was full of delicious chunks of steak. Chips perfectly cooked. Delicious!

Within 10 minutes cardboard box was soaking wet and disintegrating - fish and chips inside were soft and soggy. Hugely disappointing!

Had fish suppers. Waited 20 mins in shop for ‘cooked to order’ fish but was given fish that had been sitting. They were overcooked, dry, and look-warm temperature. Would not recommend and will not return.

I didn’t get all my order when it arrived it was cold and late.

Unfortunately quality of the fish & chips I’ve had will never bring me back.

Chips and pies were very tasty, delivered with a smile and hot!

order from this shop on a regular basis sometimes twice a week.as a disabled pensioner i rely on deliveries but for over two months my orders have been up to 2 hours to-night was no different and food was cold very dissapointed

Ordered food from this place waited an hour and half before getting the food small amount for the money payed and came cold too not happy won’t be ordering from this place again very very disappointed 😡

I can’t believe how long it took to deliver , it kept changing the time , I know you have to wait , I would have been so much quicker picking it up myself .

Order from Hass’s all the time. Usually consistently good however tonight I got a small chips instead of medium.

Pre-ordered at 14.50 for a 17.00 delivery time and didn't arrive till 18.00.

If you fancy a laugh on a Tuesday night go see these absolute clowns, go ask for single battered sausage and roll, £7.05 !!!! Robbery.

Order from Hass often. Usually really good but this time chips were a bit hard and chewy. Steak pie not as good as normal either. Neither tasted as fresh as it usually does. Not great this time round.

I ordered a battered sausage and got a mathesons instead.. binned it. Everyone makes mistakes but this was very annoying I had to bin it

It’s just always disappointing when it comes to fish and chips! Very thin fillets again tonight with soggy batter. Not worth the money. We live very nearby so there is no reason for the batter to be soggy other than it not being properly deep fried. We won’t be ordering again.

Bought a black.pudding supper. Black pudding was lovely, however the chips were not good. Poor quality and really just 'off white' in terms of having been cooked.

Used to be one of the best chippies in Aberdeen. But since it was sold It’s going downhill. We’ve tried it three times since it’s changed ownership and each time it’s been worst than previous. We will not be back anymore. Such a shame.

food arrived cold! called up and they blamed the driver and weather. it's a 10min drive from there to mine and food it usually always piping not. no remorse at all about the cold food they gave us. the chips cheese and curry sauce completely inedible, had to warm everything else back up as it was stone cold. shame, won't be ordering again.

Always order from here would regard it as the best fish and chips in Aberdeen but tonight the food was uneatable. Chips sold and dry fish just the same. Very poor

Delicious food, nice and hot, delivered on time.

Delivery of piping hot food bang on time . Unfortunately the large haddock was tiny , I know size varies but in the past when being given one this small they have put in a second . It looked as though it was cut down middle . So disappointed because this is my all time favourite and usually do good .

Yesterday I got fish that was full of bones today my food is freezing

No curry sauce on my chips cheese and curry sauce tho.......

Just Eat charged me £6 for an order I collected myself. What a rip off, won’t be using you again. £6 for a pensioner is a huge sum of money, you should be ashamed.

Have had a delivery a few times from here. This was on time and the food as allways was nice and warm and crispy.

part of order was missing ordered red pudding mac pie plus chips and mac pie plus chips curry sauce. so portion chips missing was charged for them

Avoid this place like the plague. We ordered two large haddock suppers and much to our disgust it was swimming in grease and tasteless. The fish batter is orange in colour and the fish did not appear to be fresh, guessing it’s frozen. The chips look like pre-cut chunky oven chips. Very disappointed and certainly will not be back.

Batter on food was very soggy and had loads of grease in it.

Been getting hass delivered for years. Don't know what happened but could not bring my self to eat it. Pie was burnt and the sausage looked as if it was refried. Very disappointed.

Great fish again , not too big but even thin end was moist and hot .

Not as good as original Haas. Fish smaller little white pudding . Won’t last . Shame
