Seasons Brasserie in North Devon

We went to Seasons for the Sunday Lunch. The setting and interior were lovely. The food itself was fine. The bean and lentil loaf felt like a vegetarian afterthought and was very tough. The stuffing with the Turkey was tiny and dry from sitting out. The desserts were not great. In particular the creme brûlée was not set, so was like eating a custard yoghurt! The service was very slow, we had to remind them about our drinks - which came out wrong when they did arrive. Not the best. Most of the roast was fine, but overall disappointing.

We stayed at the hotel and intended 'try' the restaurant on the first night and then go to other places for the rest of our say. However, the food and service was so good (the staff are great) that we've eaten here every night. The ever changing fish dishes are imaginative and beautifully cooked. My wife enthused about two of the vegetarian dishes she had. Everything piping hot and well presented. Highly recommended.

Shockingly bad, bought in food, rude waitresses, just don't go , awful, we will never ever return !!!!

We had the table d’hote menu one evening. The manager and staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. The menu is 2 courses for £25 or 3 for £30. The food was very good and plentiful, I had soup and fish and chips, whilst my partner had prawns and duck, all of which was very good.

Nice meal. The starter was nicely presented with fresh salad under the prawns and bread and butter. The duck was cooked as I liked it and was very nice.

Excellent food, cooked fresh from a menu with a good selection to choose from. The brasserie is comfortable and staff are so friendly and attentive, it’s a pleasure to eat here.

As local, we had been here in the past and the experience was always great, food was very good. But, the standard had fell significantly. All options for starter do not required much effort-see the menu. Main courses are just ok. Desserts are simply ice cream or factory cheese cake or chocolate cake. Definitely not AA Rosette restaurant or best dining in North Devon as claimed on the website anymore. It was but not anymore. I hope the Brent family will make effort to improve the standard back to the previous good proper AA Rosette restaurant.

Four of us booked a table on a fixed price special offer on a Saturday night and arrived with little expectation of the superb evening that would follow. On every level, we could fault nothing. The staff were helpful and friendly, service was efficient and timely and the food for all four of us was exquisite - despite the fact that there was a large private dining function going on in an upstairs suite. Two families with young children sat nearby which initially concerned us but the children were immaculately behaved in what was a relaxed environment. Well done the Park Hotel!

Having had a drink in the bar at the Park quite a few times in the past we were there last week and Jason recommended the Seasons Dining offer in their restaurant to us. We booked for the following night and what a great decision that was. The service as always at the Park could not be faulted. The food we were served was brilliant and probably the best I have eaten for a long time. Thanks guys for a lovely evening and we will be back very soon.

Had a meal with my wife at Seasons Brasserie, which is in the Park Hotel. The Park has recently had a refurb, so the place looks nice and modern. The Brends seem to over staff, and we arrived into a quiet dining area for an early booking. There was an army of staff to look after us. Service was very good. We both ate from the Table D`Hote. My wife very much enjoyed her Lamb and my Beef was good, however there were some issues. Pate starter was poor, with very little flavor and a strange choice of bread. Didnt finish it. Beef main tasted good, but the potato which came with it was lumpy. Desert was sickly sweet, and not to my taste - to be fair I only ordered it so my wife could taste. My wife enjoyed her meal much more than I did, however based on this experience this isnt somewhere I would chose to spend my money again.

Having googled the Park Hotel and their Seasons Brasserie decided to take a chance. And glad we did. On our arrival in the bar a cheerful greeting from Awwad who attended to our drinks needs ensuring the Canyon Road rose was kept chilled. At 7pm the brasserie was opened and shown to what we appreciated as the best table in the house. Although being a set menu it catered for all tastes and finished with a very good cheese board each. It was so good we booked again for NYDay.

There was a good choice on the menu and the food was excellent. The service was outstanding. Very friendly helpful staff.

Hier eet je prima. Er is een ruime keuze uit diverse gerechten. De wijnkaart is aantrekkelijk geprijsd, Wij hadden een half-pension optie, waardoor we tegen een heel aantrekkelijk tarief hier konden eten.Het personeel is gastvrij . Een foutje van de keuken werd zonder dralen direct gecorrigeerd.

Had dinner here mid week. Service was professional and efficient and all the staff were smartly dressed. Food we had was excellent and nicely presented. Prices were reasonable. The decor is quite posh after the refurbishment. On the night we visited it was very quiet, so the restaurant did lack buzz and atmosphere, but it was in the week. We had drinks in the bar, but although service was friendly, it was not the usual efficiency of a Brend hotel. The bar was busy, but was told they were short of staff so service was very slow. My other irritation was this is supposed to be a four star hotel, so I was surprised that they had football on a large screen. I am not a football fan, so it would stop us staying at The Park Hotel as guests if we had to put up with that in the bar every night. Also the air conditioning pumping down on my head and neck forced us to move seats. Did like and enjoy the restaurant, but the bar, not so good. So only a weak three stars for the bar.

Visited the hotel regularly for coffee since its refurbishment and modernisation - which is good - light and airy and less of the old fusty furnishing etc. The staff were very chiefly and helpful. It was not busy and the dining room itself is only used in the evenings so we ate in a corner of the main area. It was fine and we had space between the few tables there. We just had a starter of calamari with some chips. This was served with a tasty little salad and calamari was beautifully cooked as we there chips. Definitely will go and give the rest of the menu a try!

Enjoyed the new layout and had a great meal. The staff were outstanding and so friendly. I would highly recommend this venue for a brilliant Sunday Roast.

We ate here last week - celebrating our anniversary. The restaurant is very modern but at the same time very tasteful. Decor is stunning. Seating plan gave us plenty of space. From the moment we walked in the service was first class. More importantly, the food was the best we have had in ages. We chose from the table d'hote - what great value. The lamb was the most succulent ever. My wife had the salmon which was first class.

By far the nicest carvery roast dinner I have had recently. So many choices of meats, vegetables and accompaniments on offer and everything cooked to perfection. The restaurant is decorated to a high standard, staff could not be more helpful. Overall a fantastic restaurant and lovely meal.

At Easter time you expect restaurants to be very busy and the new Seasons Brasserie at the Park Hotel in Barnstaple was no exception. The reason for this was very clear from our arrival as the Park Hotel has had a serious make over which is quite stunning.

The only reason this gets 4 and not 5 from me is because the dessert was sadly a little hard to eat (possibly put in the freezer for too long?)

We (family ages from 9 to 82) enjoyed a fabulous meal for my slightly belated 50th.

I won a competition which was a meal for two at the recently refurbished restaurant in the park hotel. The decor was lovely and we spoke to some guests who were staying and they said the rooms were beautiful too. The meal we had was really lovely and just the right size for me. The only downside to our experience was the very mixed service we received. We couldn't complain about the food service but we were only offered water to drink and all three drinks we had we had to ask for and they took ages to come. Once we had finished it also took ages for them to sort out where my voucher had gone and how much we owed.

This is the second time we have been here, and the second time we have not been disappointed.

The booking was for a special family celebration. The service was impeccable throughout the whole process from booking through to the meal. The carvery was fantastic with a great selection of meats and veggies. The only negatives were the vegetarian and vegan options provided. The vegetarians received sad looking/tasting veggie lasagnes. The vegan dish was like a side salad of stir fried veg- all disappointing considering the advance notice provided (and an offer to provide ideas/veggie roasts ourselves). This was disappointing however the customer service provided by the staff made up for this and this is a point so easy to remedy too (recommended action to reflect the changing trends/customer needs in the food industry)

Went last night had the duo of pork, thoroughly recommend it! Go here quite a bit food always excellent, service is great. Makes for a relaxing evening. Also worth trying the bar meals lunchtime great vale for money and again amazing service.

We visited the Seasons Brasserie as a couple and from start to finish the service was second to none. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was amazing. We had a 3 course meal and we have both agreed it is one if not the best meals we have ever had in a restaurant. Great value for money and worth every penny! We truly enjoyed it and will be back very soon!

Very modern decor. Very welcoming and attentive staff, . Relaxing atmosphere. Food excellent quality with great service. Competitive pricing from menu featuring mainly British cuisine served with innovative touches. Food wonderfully presented. Overall a great experience.

Seasons is a very modern looking restaurant which is part of the Park hotel where we stayed for four nights. We ate in Seasons each night and the food was excellent. The daily specials were different each night and very reasonably priced. The staff were all friendly and very good at their jobs. Would recommend unreservedly.

I was in invited out with a group of friends just a little get together and what a wonderful time we had the restaurant very modern The staff greeted us like we were all their friends and made us very very welcome, The food was excellent I love the little special touches which made a wonderful evening will surely go back there again can't wait for next invite
