Beautiful settings ...lovely place for a quiet coffee

Love this place for either a bite of lunch or a cuppa and something sweet. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is homely and the food is amazing and very reasonably priced and with Nook Living gift shop downstairs it's a lovely little spot in Carrickfergus

I really enjoy the Ploughman's Platter it is beautifully presented and a good serving.

Smart space, friendly staff and tasty fresh menu, great coffee (imagine asking “where’s the crema”🙄)

Nice coffee shop in a gorgeous building! I would only ask that you possibly supply more options of alternative milks. I am allergic to cows' milk and oat milk being the only option puts a bit of a damper on it.

Americano's not up to scratch. One server didn't understand when I asked 'where was the crema?' Says a lot about the training programme. The replacement double espresso was excellent.

Went for a light lunch of tasty sandwiches and coffee. Kid friendly and busy. Tables clean and tidy. Staff friendly efficient and able. Order at the counter. Food prepared and served to order. The panini came with a bowl of salad and tacos chips on the side. Fresh, tasty and warm. Importantly decent coffee. Very nice, worth a visit and it is busy.

The most dingy sandwich over £11 for a coffee n Xmas sandwich wasn't even cut into quarters n very measley ...used to be the best place but it's going down in my view.

The food and service in here is excellent, a little pricier than some of the others in the town, some unusual lunch offerings , easy parking, little gift shop downstairs, the one thing they really need to sort though is the heating is literally none existent, we had to keep our coats on the other day and we were still freezing, probably wait until next summer before we return which is a shame

This really is a beautiful little coffee shop with lovely lunches like soup, wraps, sandwiches etc. Also sell other hot food and desserts

Staff lovely but food was not great. No gluten free on menu just a slice of seeded toast. Fry pretty basic and scone was quite doughy

Super friendly and helpful staff, also spotlessly clean. Only slight negative was that as we went after 2pm specials were sold out, and breakfast menu finishes just after 11am, but its a popular coffe shop and closes at 4pm so understandable. Personally I'm not a fan of the tortilla chips or side salad (which was lacking dressing this time), but definately would go back. Love the gift shop downstairs which has some lovely items.

Very friendly staff, didn't realise they closed at 4pm so only able to have coffee and scones. Will be back to try some of the food.

Good menu, efficient and friendly staff, but rather a long wait for the order to arrive. No complaints about the food. Pity about the access, a steep ramp in and stairs out - doesn’t suit anyone with mobility issues. Being on the first floor doesn’t help.

I use to love this coffee shop however sadly on my last two visits I have noticed how lacking this cafe is on customer service. I was at the salon next door to early for my appointment and popped in for a coffee,the door was open however I was rudely told by the sour baked manageress I was too early she wasn’t open for another three minutes! Then she shouted at me for going the wrong way (bearing in mind I was the only customer at this point) I ordered my coffee and an elderly gentleman came in to the cafe he was also barked at by this woman for not adhering to the one way system (clearly it needed to be more obvious there was even one in place) he stated he came out off the house for peace to enjoy a coffee not to be rudely spoken to by this manageress. Rude with zero manners! Cute cafe,usually half decent food and coffee.....do yourselves a favour and learn some customer service skills!

Stylish! Quite busy today but tasty lunch and good company. Love its random location next to the dump; beauty & beast comes to mind. One way system in place.

Pleasant and attentive staff who are trying hard to offer a great service despite Covid restrictions. Great coffee, scones and traybakes. Season aims to offer something a little different in regard to the scones and traybakes. Watch your waistline though!

Our go to coffee shop in Carrickfergus. The food quality and level of service and appropriate Covid measures are consistently good. Add in reasonable prices and you have a winner!

The tables issue I highlighted on my previous review now seems to be sorted. Welcoming staff, good Covid prevention measures and excellent food, not to mention good prices, all combine to make this possibly the best coffee shop in Carrickfergus

This is a lovely little place - socially distanced but still cosy. The coffee is excellent & their muffins are delicious. There's also a gorgeous gift shop & loos - what more could you want? It is only easily accessible by car but worth a visit & with plenty of parking. It is by a recycling centre, so you can help the environment by recycling your rubbish at the same time!

I have just read a review from 2 months ago and I had the opposite experience. Food was good but tables too close together people passing too close all in all felt uncomfortable will not visit again.

Actually very nice food and sweets. Also the art shop downstairs has a lot of wee gems.

First visit here today after finding the cafe on Tripadvisor. The food was delicious and am delighted to have discovered this place. Staff were friendly and informative. The prices were reasonable. Their COVID safety measures were well laid out and I was in no doubt our table had been well sanitised before we were seated, in fact I saw tables, chairs, menus and condiments all get sanitised during our time there. Will definitely be back and recommend the antipasti platter.

Lovely cafe, great food, friendly staff! I've been here a few times before and only have good things to say. There are a few changes, post covid, and we felt very safe and still thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

I am very fond of Season; I’ve been coming here since it first opened it’s doors - some eight years ago. The food has always been of a very high standard, consistently so, always tasty and served at the perfect temperature. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. I count Stephen, the owner, as a friend and I have enjoyed watching the business grow. It’s always very clean, particularly the toilets and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere about it. I personally recommend their magnificent Beef Brisket (and of course you always have to finish with one of their excellent desserts).

Season continues to serve lovely food, scones, etc since my last review it's been rearranged downstairs and I really like the part ' round the bend' The staff are great too and the gift shop is a delight to browse round. My one niggle which has dropped it by one * is that it closes early. I was in with a friend at 2.30 , we chatted away but then , approaching 3 20 ish it was obvious staff were preparing to close :( why so early Season? It puts customers like myself off meeting up there for afternoon coffee - there are so many places to choose from in Carrickfergus that are open all afternoon -i honestly think you would be wise to rethink this in my humble opinion.

Me and my mum went in for our first visit to try out the cafe after a recommendation by friends . I got the peri peri chicken flat bread and my mum got the ploughman platter for one , we also ordered hot drinks , and lemon pie and carrot cake to take home . The presentation and taste of the food was beautiful. The portions are very generous! And value for money . A great selection of fresh meals on the menu . Friendly service and a nice countryside view . Hope to return soon

We both had an open prawn sandwich which was amazing. The service was quick and the presentation of the sandwich was excellent. Will definitely b returning.

Love this coffee shop and the scones are delicious. My only complaint is how early they close - I met a friend there at 2.30 and staff were clearing up ready to close before 3.30 - It would put me off meeting someone there in the afternoon which is a shame. Lovely staff and a great wee shop downstairs.

Waited 45 mins for 2 bowls of soup, gave up and left hungry. Waiting staff were run off their feet and totally frazzled, felt sorry for them

This is a regular meeting place for coffee or lunch with my friends. It’s by far one of the best coffee shops locally. The menu is fairly varied but I tend to select the chicken and bacon Caesar salad most of the time. It never disappoints! I it’s most definitely the best I’ve had. Top marks to the chef. Highly recommend Season.

I’ve been here many many times and never been disappointed and today was no different!! Fab idea a ‘‘tis then season burger for Christmas and it was totally delicious. Also my daughter was tempted to try a dirty chai but wasn’t sure if she would like it and we were told “if you don’t like it I’ll get something else free” where else would you get that?! Btw she loved it!!

This was a disappointing experience to a coffee shop we have loved before. Extremely slow service, asked to move to another table in case it got busy, which it didn’t. Food cold, got it reheated and tasted awful. Sadly, not what it once was.

Have enjoyed Seasons in the past but a recent change replacing sofa seating with 3 tables for 3 people, ensued the wrath of the server who moved us from one. Tellingly the 3 tables remained unused during our lunch visit!

Party of two moved, non too graciously, from a table for three to a table for two. This table (6) had a sticky surface and had not been properly cleaned. The original table remained unoccupied during our visit. The food is very good but customer care needs training and improvement.

Visited today with my daughter for lunch. Have eaten here many times in the past and have always really enjoyed the experience.. At the top of the stairs there is a sign to say choose a seat anywhere you like. We chose a nice table by a window and just after we sat down we were asked to move as it was a table for three - we were a bit 'put out' but moved further into the restaurant to a table for two. We watched as this happened to at least four more 'two's' who came in. One couple got up and left after being asked to move. Only one of the tables for three (there were three of them) was occupied when we left.The food was lovely as usual and I love the setting, but I noticed a different atmosphere. The staff do not appear as friendly and relaxed as before - I got the impression there is new management, with a rigidity I have not experienced before. I didn't like it. If the restaurant want customers to sit at particular tables then they should have someone at the stairs showing people to tables and not have a sign saying you can sit where you want.

On the top of Carrickfergus on the Marshalltown Road there is a hidden gem of a cafe which I highly recommend to anyone travelling in the area. Located behind the Sullatober recycling centre is the "Season Cafe" which lies in an old brick house building. The cafe is quite large with a down stairs cafe, a gift shop and an upstairs section for people having their lunch. The range is very good with tradtional lunch meals like Cesar Chicken Salad, Club Sandwiches but it also has some rather unique meals like the Chicken, Peanut Butter, Cheese and Garlic Mayo Sandwich which really enjoyed during my lunch. There is also a mixture of desserts, including donuts & cakes and the Cafe Mocha is rich and chocolately. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the price is average which in a way makes it seem like a bargain given the quality of food prepared. You would think this cafe would be quite considering it is away from the town centre but it is full of people who realise the pure distinct and character of this wondeful little hidden place.

Brilliant place for eats and atmosphere. Always well looked after in this place. Nothing is too much trouble. Real favourite locally. Deli sandwich is my favourite lunch. Scones are really special. A place to return to several times a week!!

Even though it was stifling hot the service was excellent, friendly and professional. I would recommend the Chicken Caesar Salad, absolutely gorgeous. The jumbo deli sandwich was also filling and reasonably priced as well. Go here quite often so pleasure to give such appositive review. Well done!

This is a lovely little cafe serves breakfast and lunch. It has a little gift shop attached to it which is full of beautiful things like cards and trinkets. Relaxed atmosphere with pleasant staff

The ambiance that has been created here adds to the atmosphere of homely comfort. But be careful it can be addictive, once bitten twice a must. The food is excellent, staff exceedingly helpful and pleasant a very relaxing experience.

My lady friend was dieting, and only had a coffee – she said it was “OK”. I had what was supposed to be a toasted chicken, bacon, and brie ciabatta (also containing onion relish/marmalade/chutney or whatever the trendy word is this week) and sun dried tomatoes. It wasn’t called that – for the life of me I can’t remember what it WAS called, but contained the word “Deli”.
