I didn’t need any time to decide what to order, because on a chalk board the descriptions of the soup of the day and panini of the day were so tempting. They were a fantastic meal, and only £10.20p. Service? Staff are very good. Place was popular, lots of diners inside for their Tuesday lunch time. I went outside to enjoy the sunshine. Where else can you eat with a view of mini goats? Lots of outside seating, plus a sturdy canvas awning in case the outside gets any rain. I parked for free on the road outside, in a lay by just yards from the entrance. They have their own free 6-space car park, too. They score a maximum 5 out of 5 for their Food Standards Agency hygiene rating. Something was softly clucking in the low bushes by the seating area. Two dazzling, iridescently plumed chickens were in there. Eventually they walked out and around some of the tables. Utterly glorious creatures. I didn’t have the heart to tell them what was in my panini. Chicken tikka.

Relaxed atmosphere with light bright views to all the action in the farm area. Well stocked garden centre on the premises with knowledgeable staff. Great for casual dining with plenty of choice, good coffee.

We were in for afternoon coffee on a horrible rainy day. However whenever we entered we were met with very welcoming smiles from Lindsay and her staff. You soon feel at home when sitting down in the comfortable yellow sofas they have in here. We soon tucked into our coffees and fruit squares, very tasty indeed 😋

The place was very busy when I went in, mid-day rush. I only got an Iced Mocha and I switched it to takeaway as I had to go but they were very accommodating. They have a very small car park/parking lot which I didn't know about. That was handy. The goats are very cute and the other staff members in different departments seemed so happy. Everyone is very friendly and I'm so grateful to the fact they hire people with disabilities and that's its whole basis. The idea is lovely and the work behind it is great! I would return again with others and am so happy I came here.

Absolutely lovely staff, unsure why the other reviews are so low as we were treated with nothing but kindness & respect, the staff were very attentive to our needs, the food was lovely and came as described. Would highly recommend! I will be taking my family back here again regularly especially considering there is a little animal farm surrounding the Cafe, making this a perfect day out for you and the kids.

Please think twice & go to another cafe. Rudest staff I have ever come across. Everything was an ordeal. To busy cutting drawing pictures out of a kids book rather than serve people. Tray bakes/scones so stale & dried up. NOT A NICE PLACE

Oh my goodness - was in this cafe with my sister - have never received service like this before! Such rude staff! We were actually gob smacked by the behaviour of the staff- and we were charged for more butter! Please go to another cafe and get pleasant staff. We left traumatised 🙈🙈 I normally wouldn’t dream of leaving bad reviews so this says it all …..

Beautiful food Unfortunate about the service. The older member of staff was beyond rude. So much so, I won't be back. She made us feel very unwelcome and made a comment that she could kill someone today. Figure of speech but so unprofessional. The couple on the table beside us even commented on her behaviour. We moved tables outside as the cafe was getting busy and felt uncomfortable. She then moaned about us moving table and having to sanitise the table. Then put a sign up telling ppl they aren't allow to move tables and told staff to tell ppl not to move as she's sick of sanitating tables a direct dig at me. The manager has since contacted me to apologise and has spoken to the staff in question. The matter was handled in an appropriate manner and I would return.

We called in to the Dancing Goat cafe today with our 4 year old grandson. Beautiful cafe, lovely food and staff. Went around the farm and garden centre after - our grandson really enjoyed it - especially the rabbits which you are allowed to take out of their hutches and pet - a highlight of the day. Farm is free - just put a donation in the box beside the wash point (we had to ask where the donation box was) Garden centre excellent- getting ready for Christmas so we will be back in December

This cafe was incredible. The food and staff were amazing and the cafe is part of an urban farm which offers opportunities to adults with different abilities to learn about farming, animals, gardening, and building. The animals include rabbits, goats, and more and the plants and flowers are beautiful. Kids will love running around and seeing all of the animals and parents will love supporting the great mission.

The staff of the Dancing Goat Café in Carrickfergus went above and beyond for our large group from Western Michigan University. They served delicious soup, sandwiches and trays of desserts that we ate for days afterwards. We received a tour of the animals, structures and gardens that the men and women work hard to maintain, and do so beautifully. There is fresh produce to purchase or you can dine in the spacious café! I would highly recommend this place!

This wee delight of a place used to be perfect for afternoon lunch but after my visit today I doubt I'll be back. Waited for 55 mins for food to be brought when I observed other tables who had arrived after us being served first. The order was a fry, panini and 2 salads....so no cooking required for those 2 dishes. When the food was served an excuse of an apology was given which really qa wasnt acceptable given we waited nearly an hour at lunchtime...lucky we weren't understand time pressure. The prices have increased considerably too and the portion sizes have definitely got smaller when a caeser salad is £10.80 and not much eating it and a panini was under filled for £8.80...,not good at all. In fairness the fry was adequate. Don't think ill be back. Which is a shame
