This fish and chip shop is definitely by far one of the best I have had in a long time. The temperature of the food lasted after collection and a 15 minute drive home. I all definitely be returning. The food was gorgeous and the staff so lovely. A nice close knit team that run such a small local lovely shop.

The best chippy in this area, always freshly cooked, always friendly owners.

Chips nice and brown, fish perfectly done not too much batter the way i like it, really nice staff very friendly plus when I take my grandson he's know what's coming with his food a free pack of jelly sweets what more can I say brilliant.

I asked for a large fish it was freshly cooked and when I got it home I thought they'd gave me a whale food is so lovely staff have got a good sense of humour a bit out of the way but well worth travelling for

Lovely fish and chips cooked in healthy beef dripping, the vegetable oils other establishments use aren't good for you. Beef dripping every time for me or no fish and chips and it tastes so much better. 😍🍟🐠

Lovely chippy everything cooked fresh to order

Never been before tonight waited at counter for 15 minutes completely ignored by staff serving then 2 other customers walked in a git service immediately, I felt so embarrassed and humiliated. Never been treated so badly.. rude!! It must be a hemmingfield thing locals only!!

Been here for the first time tonight ordered regular fish and chips and curry. Fish cooked fresh quite a large piece and delicious,chips cooked to perfection. The best fish and chips have had in a long while will definately be returning.

Succulent fish that is cooked to order. Chips are good too! Been a few times now and always high quality. Will be back for sure.

Just been for a our tea but was a bit disappointed in the amount of chips you got for £2.80 good job I didn’t go for a small portion, ordered two cartons of peas but when I got home there was only one carton so I had to do without. And I’d payed for them☹️

I use this chipshop regular. The owners and staff are lovely and the food is amazing! All cooked traditionally in beef dripping, the fish is huge and well worth the cost (they also do fish bites for smaller appetites) Nothing is overly greasy or undercooked. They do regular specials, burgers and meal deals so plenty of selection too. I send them my order on messenger then collect but you can also call to order. All in all if you're after a good old chippy tea...most definitely the place to go.

Came here for my mother in laws birthday celebrations the food was 10/10 The food was cooked from fresh so the fish and chips was piping hot Staff was really friendly and welcoming will definitely returning here

Nice chips and curry sauce. The reason for only 2 stars is that at 4.30 on a Friday teatime they had no fish cakes left. Everyone else who came after me wanted one. If they had more choice I would definitely go back

The cod was lovely and crispy, flesh lovely and white. Unfortunately thought the meal generally was greasy.

Been quite a few times since it opened and haven't been disappointed yet. I'm funny with my fish and how it's fried. This is the best. My daughter recently entered my name into the February give-a-way in celebration of my birthday and was lucky enough to win .

Great family run fish and chip shop cooked the proper way in beef dripping. We've had a chippy tea every week they've been open and never been disappointed. The cod bites are beautiful too!

Had fish and chips from here on Friday 21st Jan I can honestly say that they were the best I've had for a long time and certainly in the Barnsley area. The fish was beautifully battered and the chips were cooked to perfection. Will certainly be going back. Well done. Keep it up.
