Champagne afternoon tea served in a packing case / amazing. We started with smoked salmon and this was followed by a toasted sandwich. The cold sandwiches & cakes /scones that followed were all delicious! A glass of champagne & plenty of tea - wonderful a real treat . This was a gift & we would highly recommend it. Cold at St Pancras but with heated seats who could complain .

. . . recomendaría la papilla

Came here on Saturday for afternoon tea for a special birthday for a family member. The afternoon tea for most of us was pleasant enough but my daughter has a dairy allergy which we had told them about with plenty of advance warning. Sandwiches were fine but the sweet alternatives were just laughable. A few bits of tasteless tofu, two small flapjacks that looked and tasted like something bought from Tesco’s and a fruit salad that tasted like it had come out of a tin. Come on- for £34 I think you could do a little better than that. We bake at home all the time with dairy free margarine- cookies, brownies, cakes, scones-it’s really not that difficult or complicated. Sorry but this is not catering for allergies- for this price you should be offering an equivalent so that people with allergies don’t feel like they are an after thought.

Used to come here quite a lot for happy hour after an old job as a coworker enjoyed the champagne, but hadn't been for a few months since my new one, and decided to come back. Greasy looking french bloke is still milling around and he's genuinely a creep. Staff seem to avoid him like the plague. Best experience I had here must have been about a year and a half ago, two brunette ladies were the only people in and they were both lovely. They both seemed to have left now which was disappointing. But cocktails were nice, but can get much nicer in a much nicer atmosphere in almost all of the surrounding bars. Go somewhere else!

An extremely disappointing experience. Fairly depressing space with no ambiance at all. Tea itself was overpriced, sandwiches were dreary and stale, very small cakes and we were all still hungry afterwards. This place obviously trades on location and St. Paul’s name and really doesn’t deserve any custom.

Having booked afternoon tea with English fizz through Booking.com we were really looking forward to this after a visit to St Paul's. Unfortunately this was not a good deal. We were charged 45.00 for over priced stale egg sandwich, scones were like rock cakes and again stale. Very dissappointed with quality and with so many other places to have afternoon tea I would definately recommend you go elsewhere as this is the eorst I have ever experienced. Our waitress was lovely hoever the manager boarded on rude. Be aware there is a service charge that gets added to your bill.

We had a combined buyagift voucher which included 2 other attractions which we did first & quite hungry when we got here. What struck us first was how empty it was, whilst the shops around & other bars were busy. The Bellinis were good & different flavours offered other than peach.. However, the food was a big let down. It arrived on an attractive wooden block but that was as good as it got! There were 3 triangles of strange almost green bread which was semi stale. The ham was ok, but blobs of cream cheese with everything..not nice.. The scone was the best thing. A gloopy cake that was not very nice & a tiny shortbread square. Not enough for two people & we are not big eaters.. We were kind of disappointed as there was no ambience due to lack of customers..but could also be the location...The toilet was unpleasant & smelt awful, considering there were so few people in there, that should not be the case.. We would not recommend it for afternoon tea but the champagne cocktails were very nice. A shame!

Perhaps we should have only came for champagne but as there was an advertisement for lunch so we gave it a go. We came for our lunch break and were told an hour is a sufficient amount of time to be in and out. We promptly ordered our drinks and food- two salads and two cokes. We waited twenty minutes for our drinks and an additional twenty minutes for our salads! Not only were we late, we were hungry. The crab salad (which barely had any crab at all) is a starter not a main. We also had to chase for our bill which included a charge for the service- but what service?

I've had many afternoon teas in my time and was very much looking forward to our treat to ourselves before going to the theatre. We arrived to find an empty bar with one dirty table, we were told to wait, whilst they cleaned said dirty table even though there were countless empty clean ones. When we were seated, the waitress kindly informed us that she was happy due to the fact we were her last booking of the day and she was tired. We had booked in for afternoon tea, usually you are given an option of what champagne and what type of sandwiches. Here, you are just given what you are given. 3 half slices of a small French loaf used to make the sandwiches topped with ham, salmon and mozzarella. I ate the 3 in less than 5 minutes. This was accompanied with one small shortbread biscuit, one small trifle cake and one small scone. We were offered a selection of tea which was the nicest part of the experience. All in all this was a very expensive treat with very little reward. There are a lot of nicer and cheaper places for afternoon tea, I would recommend you try them first.

We visited Searcy's on Saturday for Afternoon Tea. We were a group of four ladies out to celebrate a birthday. The service, it has to be said, wasn't great at all. It was almost as if they didn't want us to be there. The sandwiches were dry, and we didn't get the selection as per the menu. We had Ham, prawn and egg mayonnaise. Whereas on the table next to us, the ladies had ham, chicken salad, cheese and pickle, prawn and egg mayonnaise. It was very clear they had been selective over the sandwiches, and when we challenged them, they told us we had to pay £3 for extra sandwiches, despite it being obvious they had short changed us. A Bellini is part of the Afternoon Tea package, we opted for Peach and they were delicious. However, when we requested four more, the waitress felt the need to tell us we'd have to pay for them - and not in a informative way, more in a sarcastic kind of way. Very odd. Obviously, we were out for lunch and more than happy (and capable) to pay for a few more drinks. The restaurant is tiny, and on a hot summers day it was almost unbearable. They need to get some air conditioning in there. If you want to go for a good Afternoon Tea in London, don't go to Searcy's One New Exchange, you'll be left dissatisfied and disappointed by the service and quality of the food.

Set in One New Change facing St Paul's cathedral, this small branch of Searcys has a central eye catching cocktail bar which appears to have been plonked into the middle of a coffee shop. Staff were friendly and we were given the choice of having the tea and champagne separately or combined. We chose to have them combined. We were also offered unlimited coffee and tea. The afternoon tea was nicely set out but don't think you'll need to forgo dinner. There were 2 mini cheese and pickle rolls, 2 quarters of tuna sandwich and 2 quarters of chicken. Then 2 small scones with a serving of strawberry jam and another of clotted cream. And finally 2 tiny slices of lemon cheesecake. 2 tiny slices of strawberry gateau and 2 bite size macarons. The best part were the macarons which were rose flavoured and light. The best part of the experience was the champagne tasting which took place at well spread out intervals alongside the food. There were 3 tastings and we were talked through each champagne which was very interesting. It was a pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon but I've certainly had better afternoon teas.

Although we went there with a groupon voucher, we stayed a little bit later and enjoyed their platters and drinks on the 'happy hour' menu. Understandably not 'cheap' but good value for a special evening out.Champagne tasting was excellent, good fun and comes with a few nibbles. learnt enough, and they knew when to stop pushing information towards you so you could still chat to your friends and enjoy the drink. it was bottomless whilst they were telling you about the different types of champagne, so drink up!

Went with work for a staff birthday. The place was empty. We had 8 people and were the only table. After ordering we were told that one member of our party would have to change order as they were running out of meatballs (this is primarily a meatball restaurant and it was the start of lunch). Two dishes came out incorrect (without Pancetta). They went back to the Kitchen and came back 4 minutes later. I still couldn't taste the Pancetta and the dish was cold so I assume they just held it there for a couple of minutes. The pasta was VERY Al Dente. My drink, a coca cola was flat and tasted like it was from an old plastic bottle.I can see why this place was so quite when everywhere else in New Change is so busy over lunch time.Would not return.

After receiving a voucher as a gift for 'Bellini Afternoon Tea for 2' we went for our experience. When we arrived we were greeted by a gentleman who was very nice and showed us to our seat at the front of the restaurant. He asked what flavour Bellinis we would like and went off to make them (which we watched from our seats) after filling our champagne glasses nearly half way with the flavoured syrup of our choice he topped up with champagne and bought them to us. Not long after we were bought our afternoon tea selection even though we were not asked if we had any dietary requirements. This £48 selection consisted of 1/4 of a dried up egg and cress sandwich each, 1/4 of a dried up cheese sandwich each, 1/4 of a dried up salmon and cream cheese each. This was followed by 1 tiny scone each which was lovely and 2 more tiny cakes which were also very dry. As we finish our sandwiches we had to find a member of staff to bring out our teas which we had never been offered. We never saw a member of staff again after this and left after this very disappointing experience. Afternoon tea aside, using the toilet was an even worse experience of which I do have photo evidence , I have never seen such disgusting toilets and wouldn't expect a champagne bar to ever have. There was only 2 other couples in here when we were so it wasn't busy and would expect a more attentive environment.

Went here for a drink with a friend. Place was empty. Sat down & when the French waiter came over I asked for two diet cokes. It then took five attempts between us for him to understand what we were asking for. Finally managed to make ourselves understood & got the drinks, which btw cost 4 quid each. Asked for the bill when we were ready to leave, different waiter but almost as difficult as the first. Asked if we could split the bill & he had no clue how to do this. Bill arrives & there's 12.5% service on it. Very cheeky given that the service was awful. We ended up paying it just to get out of there.

I visited Searcys for afternoon tea using a buy a gift voucher. The voucher was only £30. So for afternoon tea in London (including Bellini) for two people was extremely cheap. Especially considering just a Bellini at searcys is circa £10. This is the reason I have given 3 stars, as for the drinks this is an ok place to go. However if you're looking for afternoon tea as a treat or special occasion I wouldn't recommend searcys. You would be much better off paying extra to go somewhere else. I would give the food 2 stars. We could see the afternoon tea already sitting up on the counter when we arrived, which meant that the sandwiches had gone a bit hard by the time we ate them. There were only 3 triangles per person, not even a full sandwich so this definitely did not fill us up like a proper afternoon tea does. There was one scone each which was fine. For desserts there were 4 miniatures, none of which we were very keen on and all different, so there wasn't enough to share if both of you liked one thing. For a champagne after shopping searcys is a good choice, and service was good. But for afternoon tea I would definitely choose somewhere else.

We had an afternoon tea here using a Buyagift voucher and were very impressed by all aspects of our experience. It was easy to book and there was a warm welcome when we arrived. There were five choices of Bellini - we had passion fruit and peach and they were excellent. We didn't notice it but the waiter said that there was a short delay in getting our food out, as he brought two raspberry Bellinis - also delicious. The afternoon tea duly arrived, plus another glass of complimentary champagne - apparently our food was photographed for a Mother's Day advert! The food was plentiful and very good. There was a wide tea choice and it was very high quality leaf tea. We were offered a second pot. The service was first class from start to finish. It was a really nice place to spend a couple of hours, comfortable, spacious and with enjoyable background music. The only thing to note is that you will not be offered conventional sandwiches but open sandwiches based on Mediterranean ingredients - prosciutto ham, mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, salmon. This was fine with us but don't expect egg mayonnaise and cheese and pickle. Maybe the management might look at this as it could attract more customers. Anyway for us it was a perfect afternoon and excellent value for money.

Hi I bought through buy a gift view from the Shard and a Bellini afternoon tea at Searcys. After buying it I read the reviews on trip advisor and was really quite worried. I had wanted it as a treat for my sister and I but it sounded like a lot of people had been disappointed .So anyway we went today after going to the Shard early due to the weather forecast , we walked around to Searcys and asked if we could bring it forward from our 3pm slot. The waiter/host said it would not be a problem and we changed it to 130. On our arrival he and his colleague were completely charming. They gave us a lovely table in the corner by the window. Offered us a choice of Bellini and we chose peach and strawberry. They were delicious. We then we asked about dietary needs I just said nothing but it needed to be delicious. It was!! Open sandwiches were lovely and the scone was one of the nicest I've had and coming from Devon I've had a few!! The little cakes were good and the tea lovely. We weren't rushed and were made to feel special. Loved it. Definitely plan to go back.

I have visited Searcys at One New Change on many an occasion over previous years but really feel that this place has gone down hill. A year ago, on 2 consecutive visits we were disappointed with the service (but the food remained good). So, after a year's break, we thought we would give it another go......but now wish we hadn't bothered. We arrived early evening (5:30pm) as, when booking, we stated we wished to specifically try their (promotional) champagne and meatballs. Well, we ordered the champagne and, after their taking our food order, we were then told that they had no meatballs so we could only order off the snack menu. We would have left there and then had it not been for the fact we had already started on the champagne. We were thoroughly disappointed and have now vowed never to visit again.

One New Change is really an odd shopping centre. Sitting directly opposite St. Paul's on the edge of the City, it's never really sure who it's clientele is. The tourists, the City Boys or just general Londoners. And that confusion seems to have spread to its eateries on the 1st floor. There's the usual offering of Byron's, etc.But this venue does really stand out. To start off with, the interior bar is a work of art. Almost to up-market but it grabs your attention. Then there's the name Seracy's had been synonymous with office and events catering for years, running the restaurant at the the top of the Shard and before Benugo many of the eateries in museums etc.Their St. Pancras Champagne Bar moved them into the public market and I've never had a bad word to say about their establishment in St Pancras. But this venue seems to have more than one name and it's unclear why.The 1847 name plastered on the window and the menu seems to have no correlation. Even here on Tripadvisor it's simply called Searcy's (though without the apostrophe).I came for a celebratory lunch with an Italian friend and we ordered the suggested Champagne and Meatballs. Both were pretty decent and coming in at £15.95 for the Pasta (al dente and flavoursome meatballs) and the Champagne wasn't a bad price either (although the Bubble Balls has tag may need a rethink). This is by no means a destination restaurant neither for food (far better places in the area) or location (in this building on the top floor sits D&D's Madison with views over St. Paul's).But if you're looking for a reasonable priced decent quick lunch in the St. Paul's area with a bit of flamboyance and style. Then this is definitely the place for you and if it's anything like when we were there will be the quietest of the offerings too.

Had to think about writing this as it appears Searcy's don't respond. Booked this through buy a gift for a Bellini afternoon tea. Ordered a peach Bellini which had quite an unpleasant after taste possibly due to it being a puree texture and looked rather unpleasant in the glass. Staff were happy enough, but we were disappointed with the afternoon tea, consisting of 6 triangle sandwiches between two adults (could of managed at least a whole round each), sandwiches were slightly curling and complete with crusts, fillings nothing special quite plain & cheap. One plain scone each with jam & cream to share, followed by 4 miniature cakes, none of which we liked. Pot of tea between us was nice however. I have had much better elsewhere and don't think we would return. Thought the experience should of been a calm and relaxed one, but a group of very loud ladies made it impossible to hear one another especially when one was quite theatrical quite liked the sound of her own piercing laugh and the couple on the next table kept bringing the baby with them to crawl around on the floor by our table. I left my kids at home thank you!

We booked in advance advising we were there for afternoon tea, but when we arrived they advised they were unsure what we would be eating so hadn't set up for afternoon tea. Passion fruit Bellini was lovely, but by the time the food was served, half an hour had gone by and we had finished our drinks. Tea and coffee was not offered until after we had eaten, leaving us with very dry mouths! Sandwiches were disappointing, one slice of bread with toppings rather than proper sandwiches. Service was incredibly slow- the place has a laid back feel which is great, but the staff a little too laid back! No one asked if all was okay with the food, even on collection of plates. Girl who was working there never smiled once which doesn't give a good impression. Didn't spoil our day, but not sure if we would return.

I had to think about whether I wanted to do a review of this place as it is such a special find I don't want others to find it!We sat at the bar, which is the focal point of the restaurant and had their express lunch which is a great idea for the hour lunch. Even better do they do it with a special offer of champagne to accompany your lunch. The meatballs are delicious and freshly cooked. The portion is just enough for lunch (& leaves you wanting more) and fairly priced at £7 (which is the big surprise here) The options are plentiful for wheat, non wheat, pasta or salad. Last time I was here, there was a delay with the food and we had hardly noticed until the waitress pointed it out by topping up our champagne as an apology. I thought a lot of this, to be offered without having to complain is a rarity in the City these days. It's a small part of serenity in the City and an ideal escape for a lunchtime treat.

Nice venue. Shame about the food and drink offering. I can understand overcharging for champagne to make a worthwhile margin, but overcharging for tasteless, overcooked meatballs (and under cooked pasta) is simply unacceptable. The salads were also as much of a rip off. This is the first time I have paid between 5 -10 pounds for a few leaves. I did not feel too bad about the experience, as the staff were excellent. We were here with Champagne Tea vouchers and it was disappointing. They haven't managed to make this the special occasion venue that you might hope for when checking out vouchers for presents. No special welcome. The space is small and with no view - the windows look out on the inside of the shopping centre. The bar is designed with a cushioned sofa bench all around the edge, then low stools stools for the people on the other side of the tables. Comfy for half the group! . The tea was basic: sandwiches, scones and a few tiny eclairs. Nothing original, no little twists. Look elsewhere for something special - other places do this so much better.

We found ourselves in Searcys for an aperitif before lunch in the nearby Madison. The afternoon teas being served looked very nice. As it was a busy afternoon we were shown to a pair of high stools at the bar, which suited us as we only wanted a drink. Two 150ml glasses of the Grande Traditional champagne (£24) were enjoyed at the bar. Why, it's then appropriate to charge 12.5% service is beyond me, but it seems standard now. I can't say it's worth a special trip, unless you fancy a glass of champagne - whilst shopping.

Champagne Afternoon tea was lovely.......the sandwiches were so fresh, tasty and varied. The scones tasted homemade and the choux were simply splendid, so light and the fillings a delight. The Belinis were super, we had strawberry which tasted of flavourful strawberries picked when perfectly ripe, the peach was sublime and the raspberry was that perfect tanginess. The staff were delightful and the location smart without feeling flashy. A triumph!

We started our anniversary celebrations at this Champagne bar as it was one on the venues we were thinking about using as part of our actual wedding day a year ago.Very nice house Champagne, presented in crystal clean flutes. We had a couple of bar snacks - all fine but £80 for 2 glasses of Champagne and a few average snacks is a little steep (oh and service pre-added which always pisses me off)Only one toilet for all customers (male and female) is simply not sufficient and the toilet is tired and in need to redecoration.

Went here as fancied some champagne and oysters, rather disappointed as no oysters and didn't want the meatballs they had on the menu. Did try an Espresso Martini which was lovely, the bar was very quiet but it was late afternoon when we went. Service was okay, no great views or atmosphere though. Toilet facilities would be rather in adequate if the place was busy.

I was given a voucher and Went to searcy's at the new change on a Saturday at half 1. Was fairly quiet at that time and was seated straight away. I thought the amount of food given was sufficient. Some sandwiches, scones and a couple of cakes. Scones were a little over cooked for my taste but we're still nice. Sandwiches were alright but bread was quite dry. Cakes were nice and we had some tea and coffee with it. I would go back for a drink but I don't think I'd spend my own money purchasing the afternoon tea. Seems expensive for what it was. Staff were friendly though.

I've never had such a disappointing afternoon tea. 3 poor dried-up sandwiches with uninspiring fillings (BLT, cheese and tomato & smoked salmon and cream cheese), a single scone and two very miniature choux buns. Lacking in service and style, this is one to avoid.

My friend gave me a gift voucher for an afternoon tea for 2. I was so underwhelmed by their afternoon tea (if you can call it that)When we first walked in, the heating was so hot we had to ask them to turn it down - it was like being in a sauna. We ordered a bottle of champagne and they brought the afternoon tea 'platter' which consisted of only 4 sandwich quarters that were dry like they'd been made in the early morning Cheese & tomato on 2 pieces which had a distinct flavour of fish through them and chicken & lettuce on the other 2. There were 2 scones but we got no cream and 4 tiny pastry things that looked unappetising so we didn't eat them. The real kicker was not at one stage were we offered tea or coffee! We got given cups but no beverage offer so we had no tea or coffee with our afternoon tea! There were about 6 tables of 2 people and 10 staff so there was no excuse for such terrible service. I observed one staff member lining up the stools to be immaculate, others chatting, another looking out the door.... they were looking everywhere but at the customers. We weren't the only table having to wave and wait until we could get someone's attention. They held a staff meeting right next to our table so we overheard everything being discussed. At the end of our 'afternoon tea' I called the manager over and suggested to him that during their next staff meeting he could perhaps mention that with afternoon tea they should offer tea or coffee to their customers. This was met with a blank stare so I elaborated and explained that this would be something expected at an afternoon tea to which he gruffly responded he would remove the service charge! So yes - he completely missed my point.Don't waste your time and money going here and whatever you do, don't buy it as a gift for someone - you'll only feel embarrassed afterwards.

I was given a birthday present of Afternoon Tea and chose Searcys Champagne Bar at this venue as it was the only London based venue that was offer with this particular voucher. The table was booked for 3,30pm but on arrival we were told that they were very busy and could we wait at the bar. Having found a place to sit at the bar we decided not to order any drinks before our afternoon tea. Although we wer'nt seated for tea until 4.00 we were given our champagne cocktails (part of the deal?) to drink at the bar. The afternoon tea did NOT include a pot of tea and was very basic and we were a bit dissapointed with the food. We ended up ordering a couple of glasses of champagne to eat with our food which is offered at 6.95 instead of 9.95 a glass because we were having the Afternoon Tea. The staff were attentive and apologetic in the delay being seated and it was a nice atmosphere for drinking Champagne but would not choose this venue for Afternoon Tea again as there are much better teas on offer elsewhere.

Came here for the first time yesterday with two of my sister in laws ,for after work drinks before going to a nearby restaurant.. Service nothing to shout about. Our drinks were carried down to our table by hand, not put on a tray! But in saying that, the champagne was lovely and cold, bit pricey though.two of us had cocktails reduced from £9.95 to £6.95 for happy hour which is not bad. This is not advertised though, had to ask and read about it luckily. However, the bar is nice. I was disappointed that the music was turned up making it hard to hear. I thought it was a more classy place.

My mum and I booked a table here for 3.30 in the afternoon. I purchased a voucher for a Deluxe Afternoon Tea and wanted to use it in St. Pauls, we arrived on time and were asked if we had a booking, I gave my name and the guy was aware that I had a voucher (I typed this in my additional comments, when I booked) were seated straight away, the table was set very nicely and we were informed of what we would get for the Afternoon tea, we were also asked if we had a preference of sandwiches etc. As we had the deluxe voucher we were offered rose or white Champaign, it was nice enough. Our tea arrived quite quickly, we had 6 squares of sandwiches (all nice) a scone with cream and jam, a couple of additional cakes, and we were then asked if we wanted tea of coffee. We asked for tea and a nice big pot was brought over, we were still told we could ask for more if we needed it. I have to say, I was a little put off booking here after reading a few of the reviews, I would recommend this place for the deluxe afternoon tea and would go again. The price in the place was £20 per person, my voucher was less than this. However, I would have happily paid the full price, I agree with some comments, you don't get a massive amount of food but it is an afternoon tea not an evening meal. I'm not sure what people expect for their money in Central London. My mum and I are pretty fussy with food and the places we eat, but we both enjoyed our experience, the staff were great and we had no issues at all.

We were given an afternoon tea as a present, and when we booked we stated that we needed one to be dairy free. The acceptance for our reservation came back and it clearly stated on it the one was for dairy free. When we arrived, we were shown to our table (given a choice to where we would like to sit), by a friendly waitress. My wife spoke to one of the staff to remind them that one was to be dairy free, which they replied, we do not cater for any allergies. They did try and help but the afternoon tea turned out to be slices of meat, which was very disappointing. The other afternoon tea arrived as expected but the sandwiches were turned up at the sides, so must have been made some hours before. The only decent thing about the experience was the nice champagne. Will not be going there again.

My wife and I were given some vouchers for the Bellini afternoon tea for 2 at the One New Change branch.Atmosphere - for a Sunday lunchtime, the venue was not packed at all, so it was refreshing to have the space to hear yourself think as well as hear the other person speak without raising voices unnecessarily.Service - from the welcome, to serving food/drinks and leaving- all the staff we encountered were very friendly and very professional, which helped make the whole experience more enjoyable for us. Given the place was not busy, the staff were not rushed off their feet but they were still attentive enough.Meal - This was satisfactory enough. We were given tiny triangle sandwiches - 2 salmon, 2 egg/cress and 2 chicken/avocado. I was really hoping the other reviews I read here were just being fussy, but yes, sadly, the sandwiches were stale- did not taste fresh at all. Were they left out in the open? or just poor quality? Tasted like they were from a supermarket rather than anything special. Same goes for the scones and little desserts. The entire meal itself was not very filling, but we were satisfied when leaving.Bellini was well made - not a lot to say about that! The coffee we had was a bit watery and nothing really special.Giving this experience 3 stars overall, because of the let down in food quality, otherwise with the service and atmosphere we had, we'd give it 4 stars. This was a good one-off experience for us.

We were given a voucher for a Bellini afternoon tea for Christmas. We used this on 27.2.16. On arrival we were shown to our table. Very low chairs , table too high. We chose our bellinis and waited. Quite a wait. They arrived with apologies. Then the food. 6 small dry sandwiches , 2 scones jam and cream and 4 small cakes. We had to request our pot of tea. The cups did not fit on the saucers. As soon as we had finished the food , the stand was cleared , then my husbands cup and saucer were removed despite not having finished. My cup was then taken together with the pot and jug. The mats were taken then the waitress returned with her bottle of spray and cloth , and proceeded to clean the table in front of us. We put our coats on and left. We were only there about 45 minutes. Never to return.

What a fantastic way to celebrate 13 years of friendship with my bestie, champagne tasting at one of my favourite champagne bars in London, "Searcys One new change "This place has always held a special place in my heart due to the exceptional service from a former employee Michaela and today it reminded me just why it has me coming back time and again. Having bought a Groupon voucher, I was expecting to be sat at a table and presented with 3 taster glasses and some nibbles. However I was pleasantly surprised, as this turned out to be one of the best tasting experiences I have had. Conducted by the extremely knowledgable Rolph. I sat back and played ignorant, allowing him not to talk us through each of the champagnes, the production processes, and grape varietals used. This man knew his craft, from the blanc de blancs, blanc de Noir to the varying Cuvées, appellation and the build characteristics of each of the champagnes we tasted. His vast knowledge, pairing recommendations, professionalism and impeccable customer service made this day even more special. I was pleased to see that they now do a great champagne afternoon tea alongside their vast champagne menu, amazing cocktails and fantastic If you fancy spoiling someone special or just celebrating life pop by Searcy for a memorable experience of fine champagne, delectable oysters and customer service that's second to none.I would recommend booking to guarantee a great seat. Not only was the food disappointing (mainly dry sandwiches, with a couple of tiny cakes, scones) we were extremely disappointed with the terrible service. We had booked a 3pm Bellini cream tea - we arrived at approx. 3.15pm. We made ourselves comfortable and a few moments later we were asked which flavour bellini we would like, we all had different flavours - lychee - raspberry - strawberry - peach (I think) I felt that the company have a set way to serve this experience. As we hadn't been asked if we'd like tea or coffee I went and spoke to the lady making up the cream tea/sandwiches. I probably overstepped the mark but hey I'm like that... Visited today, it was a gift from a dear friend and although we would never say to her, it was a short - change to her purchase. Seating not very comfortable, (more suited to a younger set), sandwiches were quite literally bite size therefore not enough to savour the flavour, doubtful the scones were homemade and the cake size was bite size too....more like afternoon nibbles than a high tea. The service was impersonal with no real sense of being made overly welcome. The cocktail however was nice but everything else let the side down and we did'nt come away feeling spoilt at all! PS, You do not appear to respond to any of the reviews left, good or bad, which makes me wonder whether you are concerned with your customers' experience of your establishment?
