Bank Westminster & Zander Bar in City of London, Westminster

I booked this restaurant and had confirmation of the booking. Having spent £20 getting there by taxi only to find they have closed and are no longer there it cost another £20 to go back to the hotel. Very disappointed!!!

Bank Westminster and Zander bar have now closed permanently and the space is being refurbished by its owners (the hotel next door). It's a shame - we had many enjoyable business lunches and dinners at Bank - the food was reliably good.

Me and my boyfriend recently visited as a member of the club individual scheme... which allowed us to claim £20 off of our total bill!The food was 10/10 and although there was a slight mishap with our missing starters, this was soon rectified and we received drinks on the house to apologise.The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was really romantic.We cannot wait to come back! :)

We had a large booking & the meals were preordered.The staff were friendly and dispute the size of the group didn’t have to wait long. Location good.Starts of hot bread was delicious. Sadly the reviews from people were mixed, I had poached egg and asparagus that was good but think they skipped the hollandaise. Some colleague said they had under cooked eggs. The squid was left by a few people on our table. I had mushroom risotto and was bland. Steaks had mixed reviews. Best part for me was the bread and cheese board.I was going to say quality could have been due to reservation size but only half the restaurant was booked so guess it’s not that.

Business lunch for four, recommended by a colleague who loves the place.Location is great and the conservatory style dining area is really nice. Tables are well spaced out and the overall effect is really calm and peaceful.Only one other table being used, so the service was quick as you would expect. Bread and olives to share were delicious, really nice, mains ordered 2 tuna and 2 salads. The tuna steak was exceptional, beautifully cooked, delicious. Everyone in the group well satisfied with their food.They desserts were good, but not up to the standard of the starters. Decent priced bottle of wine, some coffees and everyone was happy.It’s a little lifeless, I’m sure some days it must be busier which would create more of a buzz. Prices aren’t bad, given it’s location, service and food are good. Would definitely go again, and just to make sure we do, the restaurant have a loyalty card scheme which we signed up to. Covers a few different restaurants (including Ginos and Piccolinos) and you get £20 for joining! Not bad

We visited on New Years Eve after booking on line. The conservatory style restaurant is different and St James’ Court provides an interesting backdrop. The menu is varied and there was something for everyone - the fish and chips was really good! The service throughout the evening was excellent, with all the staff being friendly and efficient, and extremely helpful. Prices were reasonable given the location and the date. One of our party was a wheelchair user, and there are 3 or 4 steps to negotiate down into the restaurant. Disabled toilets are available in the hotel next door, although they are a bit of a trek. Overall a really good meal and pleasant atmosphere, but the main plus was the service.

Cenamos su víspera de Año Nuevo 2018, como una familia con niños. El servicio de guardarropa era excelente y eficiente, al igual que el servicio de camareros y comida. Sin embargo, en cuanto a la comida, pedimos platos principales: la combinación de risotto estaba bien, carne de venado buena (pero no muy caliente) salsa de mantequilla de trufa estaba fuera de este mundo, pescado y papas fritas con guisantes blandos y salsa de alquitrán y papas fritas bien, y chuletas de cordero tandoori estaban genial . Luego fuimos a pedir el postre de nuevo un servicio muy eficiente y amable. Uno de nuestros pudines pegajosos de toffee y helado tenía un pelo en el helado. Cuando se alertó al personal, fueron rápidos en ofrecer un reemplazo. Con las bebidas funcionó bastante caro, aunque nos ofrecieron postres gratuitos. Aprox. 30 por persona. 8/10

Bank restaurant I’m sure can be an exciting place but the night we went there were three tables of people including us. It took forever to get the food and when it came it was disappointing. I had the fish and chips soggy and damp. We went to the bar it’s wuite long but no one was there of course it was a little early. Main complaint bad food and service.

we were close by in the hotel and decided to come back to zander after a while we did not try out. it was an oki night i would say, but i expected more. service ok, prices as expected,whole ambience was fine too.

Bonito bar con un gran ambiente. Se trasladó a restaurante y la comida era muy buena. El calamar frito era delicioso, aunque en mi opinión la ensalada de fideos con ellos no funcionaba del todo. La carne de venado fue sublime, ordenada con puré de papas que eran encantadores, pero las chirivías y las zanahorias asadas estaban un poco recocidas. El servicio era amable y servicial. En general muy bien.

Fab bar to go for a cheap after work cocktail. Nice novelty to sit at the bar and the bartender attract your attention as opposed to the other way round!

First time at this restaurant even though I have stayed in the area many times. Went with a business group. Service was good and staff friendly and efficient. Private area was particularly good, just the right size for a group of 8/10. Asparagus and duck egg starter was beautifully cooked and creme brulee was yummy. Wine was good and not too expensive. Could have given 5 stars but despite calling ahead with allergy info and pre-selecting from the menu still had to change when I got there. Overall would recommend.

Early bird meal is two courses for twenty quid. You will not be disappointed. We had the spicy squid and the fillet steak sandwich. They were excellent. Enjoy the view of the courtyard.

Really like their menu options and the quality of food is just amazing! Great service as well! I have been there a few time and every single time was really tasty :)

Visited this place fir the first time today for a business lunch. Overall an excellent experience. We had a private dining room and service was outstanding. Had a Bloody Mary before thenmeal and it was superb. The meal was very tasty - the steak in particular was very well cooked. I would recommend.

Great restaurant at St. James Hotel. We had a table on the terrace in the inner court that made a very nice quiet experience. Very good plates and great service.

This is a favourite spot of my work colleagues and I. Zander Bar do an excellent happy hour 4-8 (I think) with a £5 cocktail menu. Excellent value! Aren’t many places in central where you’ll find such great value and such great quality drinks!

I use Bank regularly for business lunches, where it is important that the meal is completed within an hour (surely that will be a common requirement). Recently I have been having to chase down waiting staff to take away plates, order the next course, order the bill etc., and the meal tends to take over an hour now, which is putting me off coming back.

We went with four children for an early evening dinner. There were good menu choices generally but did not cater well for our dairy intolerant child. Food was generally nicely cooked and flavoursome however not cheap and absolutely no vegetables were harmed in the preparation of dinner. The kids had to chose between chips and peas or salad and duly a plate with not even a side salad arrived. Same for the adults, we had steak and chips, no salad, veg, or anything, not even an option. When we queried it they couldn’t have been less interested and told us that’s just the way things are in London, well not in any restaurant I’ve eaten and certainly not for kids, come on guys do your hit and put something green on the plate! Too much better choice to need to return and poor customer service put me right off!

Gorgeous food , great selection but it is big for two as a starter ! <br />Good choice of mains at various prices . Specials always good. <br />You don’t feel hurried in this venue ( unlike others ) , no chasing for the table back after 2 hours . <br />It’s a great location if you want to chat , you can hear each other speak (no loud music or excessive background noise ) . Tables not too close together . <br />Staff excellent , friendly and helpful but not over the top . <br />It is just a lovely place to relax and eat good food . <br />Highly recommended

Essendo ospiti dell’albergo per due sere abbiamo cenato in questo delizioso ristorante che ha una location molto particolare.Infatti si trova nel giardino dell’hotel ed è costruito completamente in materiale trasparente(non credo vetro).Arredato in maniera molto elegante si ha una vasta scelta di pietanze...che varia sia sul pesce che sulla carne.Anche qui servono molti vini spagnoli,ma volendoli di una giusta gradazione erano l’ideale per noi donne.Il servizio è impeccabile,abbiamo trovato un cameriere italiano ,Giacomo,che ci ha seguite,consigliate e servite in modo straordinario.il cibo come sempre squisito.Questa volta ci siamo sentite veramente coccolate ....come sempre del resto

The food while well presented does not quite deliver the taste experience suggested by the menu, however it is adequate and the fixed price option is a good deal. The salmon fishcakes were sufficiently filling but lacked seasoning. The warm chocolate fondant was suitably gooey in the middle but the texture was a little disappointing, closer to baked cheesecake than a light sponge. The food was a slight disappointment. The service however was welcoming and of a good standard.

We didn't eat inside this restaurant, as our days were super long. However, we came back to our room so tired and hungry. We ended up getting take out twice. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I had the filet mignon sandwich one night, a burger the next. Both were enjoyed.

I have been lucky enough to have a couple of lunches here. They have a great offer on two courses, plenty of variety and the menu if regularly updated. Everything I’ve tried, gosh, chicken, veggie has been delicious.

We recommend the cocktails before dinner. The meal and surroundings looking out on to the courtyard were really good. The staff were so friendly and helpful and really looked after us without being pushy. We shall go back when next in London.

Had lunch here on two occasions during April. Thoroughly recommend the calamari and noodles, chicken souvlaki and the tuna au poivre. Very good service in a lovely setting. Good brasserie menu.

Enjoyed my lunch visit to the Bank, a cool modern restaurant with a fabulous long, zinc bar.

Location is fab and close to tube. Food was amazing as usual. Not the cheapest but if you're a member you can save points. Club individual members gain more. Keep your eye open for the waiter with wicked hair.

Fuimos un sábado por la noche con amigos. La comida era excelente, con el calamar para que arranque y Dover Sole pedí ser deliciosa. Yo estaba particularmente impresionado con el chef sirve el único fileteado y cocinado a la perfección. El servicio era estupendo y el sommelier estaba bien versado en sirviendo algunos magníficos vinos de acompañamiento. Gracias a todos en el banco.

Très bon souper au restaurant Bank. De l’extérieur le restaurant à l’air vide car le bar est au-devant du restaurant et à l’arrière, c’est le restaurant. Très bonnes viandes, les accompagnements sont très généreux. Par exemple, les pommes de terre pilées sont pour 3 personne. Les desserts sont également excellents. Bonne découverte!

What can I say I joy from start to finish. Got there early and sat near the window the bar man came over took our cocktail order and returned shortly after with amazingly made drinks.

Met a work colleague here for early dinner and drinks - I really liked the long bar as it gives a sense of privacy as it’s so long no one is sitting right next to you.

This was a invite only Christmas celebration for friends, new and old and we had such a great time. So much laughter and crying with laughter but one of the best Christmas soirées of 2017.

Sadly the meal was very average. The waiter made us feel like an inconvenience and we were genuinely only one of two tables in the venue! The host however was very nice and he managed to save the experience. I ordered the chateubriand and the presentation was really poor and it was averagely cooked. Sadly don't think I'll be returning.

We were staying at the taj and this was the most family oriented menu to suit us all . Between the three of us we tried a mixture of lobster , steak , mussels, and duck all were cooked to perfection and the service was just excellent we will return .

My second time in this place. Both for business dinners. The bar is very long. Restaurant there spacious. Food is good. Prices are reasonable. There is an option for private rooms. Place is quiete and allows discussion. Address pouch What would you ask more from a place for a business dinner??

Gran restaurante para el almuerzo o la cena. El extenso menú. Recomiendo el atún au poivre, pollo con la lubina entre muchos de los platos en el menú. Guarniciones eran también bien presentado. Verduras estaban perfectamente cocinada. Patatas fritas también muy bueno.

Nos invitaron a asistir aquí para una conferencia de distintas empresas donde nadie sabía nadie.

Vine aquí con 2 de mis compañeros de trabajo antes de una fiesta de Navidad y el servicio era horrible. Esperamos 20 minutos por nuestras bebidas (ni siquiera ordenados los entrantes en este punto) y cuando pregunté a nuestro camarero, él procedió a explicar 'tengo 55 personas para servir', me parece chocante cómo no tienen personal en esta época del año.

It was actually August 2016 that I came here and have been meaning to post a review since then! One of my best friends booked this for a small celebratory meal after his wedding ceremony. It was a quiet lunchtime which was nice because it felt like we were the only ones there and able to enjoy this special occasion together. The food - as I mention in the title - was absolutely divine! I started with the crispy duck salad, followed by a hearty steak. I often shy away from duck because I always end up disappointed with it (often comes out dry and/or overdone). But this crispy duck was a wonder! The steak that followed was cooked exact to my liking (rare) and didn't need any sauce as it was so tasty on its own (which I feel is always a mark of a good steak!). Mouth is watering right now, thinking back about it!

What a superb experience, and a beautiful location. Inconspicuous from the outside but once inside, a wonderful conservatory gives diners a view over the majestic courtyard which could be a world away from the hustle and bustle of the busy London streets. We were greeted, served and fully attended to amazingly, by all the staff and the food was exceptional, with a menu that has something to suit all. Beautiful decor, with plush leather dining chairs in Tiffany blue and white linen table cloths, gives a feeling that the bill is going to be much more expensive than it is. One of our party commented that this was the best Christmas dinner (apart from his wife&#039;s ;-) ) that he had ever had, and the turkey slice he was presented with was certainly huge by usual standards. As I said in the title of this review, if you haven&#039;t been already, you&#039;re missing out, and I can&#039;t believe it wasn&#039;t even busy. I&#039;m loathed to leave this review as I really want to keep this little gem for myself but I need to give this wonderful restaurant and staff the credit that is due. If you want to impress but still keep an eye on the purse/ wallet, this place is definitely for you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Had lunch today with three colleagues and we all said what fab food we had. I don't think it is overpriced because the quality is there. The only thing I do think is pricey is the bread - a loaf that is the size of a single, large roll costs £4 - so that is crazy, but everything else is so good it really is worth it. Had tempura prawns and Chateaubriand and both were superb.

Very disappointing service. Was charged for wine we had not had, this was put right, but there was no apology. Tried to order off the special menu (which we had been given) but was given food from the a la carte menu which meant it came without the vegetables. Dessert we ordered was not available but was not told this until 10 minutes had passed.<br />I have used this restaurant a lot for business lunches, but it will probably be a long time before I return if ever.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at this restaurant. For some bizzare reason I was expecting high end pub food. I had a t-bone and a colleague had the smoked salmon to start which looked delicious. Quality is good but prices aren’t cheap. Because of this I wont be back unless it’s a another work lunch where I'm not paying.

This has to be one of the most amazing Gluten free meals I have ever eaten. The restaurant is a fantastic space, enjoying the outside, inside. The staff were brilliant and we were made to feel very special.

Okay,&quot; he finally says.<br />He has yet to bring my husband&#039;s beer; but it was impossible to catch his eye, so it took a while.<br />Mains come -<br />I taste steak - it was VERY salty! I give my husband a taste and he says it&#039;s salty but not terrible. I don&#039;t think I have EVER sent back a dish, but this one was going back; I would not eat this piece of meat.<br />*We cannot get the waiters attention; he is busy with the big table. We can&#039;t even signal anyone else. Finally, we get another waiter to get our waiter. I explain that the steak is far too salty. He is willing to get me another piece of meat or something else. I know that I am not going to try again, so I ordered fish. {My husband had fish and it was tasty.} The waiter asks my husband if he&#039;d like his dinner [which he&#039;s over 1/2 done with] to be kept warm. He agrees.<br />*While we wait the maitre&#039;d (?) comes over and apologizes. My fish comes out; my husband gets a entire new piece of fish. THAT was nice touch.<br />*By the time we finished mains, we just wanted to leave. The waiter brings the bill and pushes us to sign up for some kind of rewards program, he must have gotten some kind of profit from that. <br />*We get the bill and see that 12.5% gratuity was automatically charged.!! We were not happy about that; menu says &quot; There is a discretionary 12.5% service charge&quot; I don&#039;t see how that would be discretionary if it is already added to bill.

excellent location and great service from "Leonardo" who explained and advised with passion and knowledge the menu on offer. Food is well presented and very "warm". the risotto and the Tuna and especially the Rib-eye were just superb.Out of 6 nights we had dinner here 3 time and were all extremely good. I wish we stayed here also the other 3 nights which turned up to be mixed failures on nearby restaurants....(some dirty and mostly disappointing food!!).I advise also to have a couple of aperitifs at the Zender Bar where Giacomo will prepare the best pre-dinner drinks to perfection....great selection of wines!!

Very poor service. There seemed to be only one waiter for the whole room. We were attended by a host but then he never followed through. We had to walk out to ask to have our check processed. And they were not helpful with charging it to our room with the hotel. I don&#039;t think we were treated very well at all.

Despite previous poor reviews we wanted to give it a try ourselves. We had a wonderful evening starting with drinks in the Hamptons Bar in Hotel. Too noisy in adjoining cocktail bar. We took a walk around the beautiful courtyard before sitting inside for dinner. Lovely candle lit table looking onto courtyard. Lovely meal, can recommend Tempura Prawns, Lamb Navarin, USDA Sirloin and Fillet. Had some lovely wine, Fleurie and Gavi de Gavi. (Maybe the Gavi could have been chilled more). Very attentive service by the flamboyant Leonardo!! A lovely evening enjoyed by all four of us.

Two of us visited for a weekday dinner. The venue is nice, in a conservatory looking out into the courtyard. Good variety of options on the menu, but the food was fairly average, considering the prices - I can't recommend paying £9 for 3 potato-heavy fishcakes as a starter. Service was ok, although there were only a few tables occupied - I don't think it merited the automatic 12.5% service charge. Overall, nothing to complain about, but I doubt I'll ever go back.

Nachdem wir vor Antritt unserer Reise bereits einen Tisch online reserviert hatten, wurden wir sehr freundlich am Empfang begrüßt und zu unserem Tisch begleitet. Die Aufmachung des Restaurants ist sehr ansprechend und modern, insbesondere der Wintergarten mit Ausblick in den "Hinterhof" ist durch die Beleuchtung am Abend ein echter Hingucker! Die Bedienung war stets sehr professionell und zuvorkommend. Am Essen (Steak) gab es rein gar nichts auszusetzen und die Wartezeit war absolut in Ordnung, gerade im Hinblick auf die Gästeanzahl an diesem Abend (31.12.). Klare Empfehlung!

I was there for a dinner with my partner and the experience was good but the food average. The attention to detail good as well as the cocktail that are 2x1 until 8pm. The lobster cooked with butter and a butter sauce was a bit disappointing, I expect a lobster that tastes what it is and not butter! The desert was also average, chocolate cake and £8! I found it quite pricey and for a Friday night over 60% of the tables empty.

Very nice location, excellent service, only thing to complain: asked for rump medium and it was well done, had to take the salmon salad for take away and dis not have all the ingredients ( only salmon and two asparagus,no salad no quinoa...). But the food in general was really tasty estaecially the burger.

Location was walking distance from our hotel. The décor is a bit worn with holes in the material on the chairs. Could better since location and windows a view. Food was ok at best. The Filet was a big tough not sure if how it was prepared or the grade of the meat. Service was prompt and attentive helped make up for the quality of the food.

We went here as we had points and wanted to give club individual restaurants another go after previous experience. Great location good gluten free menuI ordered a flat iron steak really nice. But it arrived with chips instead of sweet potatoe wedges. Had to ask for them as my main came with chips. The potato wedges were with chilli which wasn't stated on the menu. My side salad was lovely and fresh. The whole dish was swimming in grease with the egg.A member had fish and chips. The fish looked lovely but it was really really greasy which took away from the taste. Chips were soggy. Mushy peas was great.Another member had a different steak with a very garlic butter sauce. We had ordered a Diet Coke it took a reminder for it to arrive. The waiter took the wine glasses away before the bottle of wine was even finished. DesertsI had creme brûlée that wasn't very crunchy on top part from a few places. One member had lemon posset minus the hazelnut brittle. Another member had salted caramel ice cream which was nice. Service wasn't great sadly two strikes now we won't be back to a club individual restaurant

I have been a Club Indiviual member, and recently had one bad experience, but decided to give another of their London restaurants a try, on Tuesday this week we went for a late lunch.The setting is good and the ambiance good, a good welcome. We were given to main menu and the allergy menu which was a good startHowever the service here was dire - it was not busy max 4 tables occupied, one waiter and a supervisor (?)Ordered the meals no starters and drinks - the wine arrived but not the soft drink ordered by one of the party, when the mains arrived Three portions of chips - no sweet potato chips as was the option on the Gluten Free menu, apologies again. Then wehad to ask for one of the sides we had asked for, it finally arrivedFish and chips looked great healthy portion but it was saturated in the grease used to cook it, and the chips very soggy. My steak was ok but seemed to have been over salted, again soggy chipsThe flat iron steak delivered cut, no problem but again an overdose of grease. The sweet potato chips came with chilli flakes, not on the menu.Then when we were ordering the sweets the wine glasses disappeared, despite not having finished the bottle- we had to ask the for new ones. Deserts were mediocre with the Creme Brûlée not at all crispy or crunchy We went to pay using the loyalty scheme, no issue but we were never given a bill, just confirmation that the points had been used and a balance of £50 odd to pay.On service this fails the test, and food mediocre at best.That is two strikes and out we will not be returning to any of the restaurant

This place is a hidden gem. Great food, nice people and well priced. Tempura prawns and marinated lamb skewers - yum. Perfect for work, after work or with a loved one.

Bit pricey but solid for business lunch. Deep fried prawns for starter was bulked out with courgette. Pleasant service. Some private dining rooms are available so worth bearing in mind for the future if you need intimate group meal. Would visit again

the food was amazing. the staff were ok. not the best. but very efficient . there was a group (large group) of men that clearly were over served and were extreamly lound and inconsiderate

We went to Bank Westminster Restaurant for our corporate meeting (lunch presentation) with 20 people couple of weeks ago and I was amazed how amazing the food was, fast service and friendly staff the restaurant has. Big screen projector facility is available too on their private room. We chose one of the 3 course set menu options which was very reasonable price and the food was delicious. The wine selection they have was also great and our group left with satisfaction. The event ran very smoothly and all the restaurant staffs (including the Manager) were always making sure that we were taking care of during the event.Will definitely come to Bank Westminster again for more corporate events!!

I recently went to Zander Bar after work with some new colleagues and was surprised to see they have happy hour from 5-8. Great cocktails, I tried the espresso martini and mashtini, and one of my friends had a bellini that looked great too. They came round with some free nibbles too which I thought was a nice touch. We'll definitely be back again !

We've been to Bank several times over the years and the food and service have always been exceptional! Last night was no exception. The staff are wonderfully attentive, polite and friendly. The food is just sensational! I started with Teriyaki Chicken Skewers and my wife had the Tempura Prawns. For main I had a full rack of ribs (the meat just fell off the bones and melted in the mouth!) and my wife had Chicken Caesar Salad. All were totally flawless. I washed mine down with a glorious glass of Malbec served at just the right temperature.My only criticism (and this did not impact on our enjoyment of the evening at all) is that some maintenance work is needed to the dining area. The wooden flooring is badly worn in places and the chairs are getting rather tatty! A bit of cash needs to be spent to bring this excellent restaurant back to its former glory! Highly recommended!

Great courtyard view. Food to die for. Fantastic service. Great bar for afternoon drinks. WE had the Chateubriand and I highly recommend it. Great wine list.

I was one of about 30 professional colleagues meeting for an annual lunch. I had never been to this most interesting restaurant, which proved to be minimalist but intimate. We had a room with two tables and were able to listen to speeches without interfering with other guests in the restaurant.I was particularly impressed with the staff, who moved smoothly around dispensing drink and food. Very professional, very efficient. And the food was absolutely delicious. Altogether, this is a good find

Finished the week with a few girlfriends yesterday, we had the conservatory to ourselves for most of it, cocktails happy hour is a must. Leonardo really looked after us and made us feel very welcome. Definitely going back, nice atmosphere .

The best and special cocktails, the bartenders are smiling, professional, and very kind.Do not miss the happy hour every day at five in the evening, cheap and delicious and happy. A place we would love to return to again and again.

This place is amazing... Lovely layout, outstanding menu... Food is yummy yummy. We had some beautiful squid and salmon and seabass and... We'd havehave ordered more and more but we just thought it wouldn't look nice. Waiting time for food and drink is fairly compensated by the right staff. Our waiter was professional and attentive but with a smile stamped in his face (which is a plus when you work in Central London) and I love "Italian accent".I believe his name is Leonardò. We will came back soon... Surely we must try more dishes and may be a full bottle of Rioja and cocktails. 5 stars

Very good lunch at Bank Westminster. Consistently high standards. Tuna au Poivre was delicious. Very good chips and salad. Lots of choice on the menu and should suit most tastes. Pleasant, airy surroundings and a good place for a business lunch or family occasion. Service was excellent. Will be back

We were delayed by 40 minutes getting to the restaurant due to power failure on the underground, we telephoned to explain and asked if the table could be held for us. We also had to be leaving 35 minutes after we finally arrived as we were going to the theatre.The young lady on Reception, Meeghan, greeted us so warmly and made us feel so welcome. When we got to the table everyone especially Venessa, ensured that we were able to order and eat our meal without feeling too rushed.The food was delicious.Thank you so much for all your help, we managed to get back to the theatre in time for the show x

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my wife last Tuesday and I got really impressed about the food and service they offer.We had some bread to start which was nice and fresh and scallops and risotto followed by grilled seabass as main which was incredible tasty.To drink, our waiter, Leonardo, recommeded us Gavi de Gavi which was a great recommendation and he was very attentive and helpful throughout our dinner.We will definitely come back

Good food spoilt by poor service. Ordered tap water - it arrived lukewarm with no ice. Ordered more tap water - it arrived with ice this time (because specifically requested) but clearly in luke warm water and was not allowed to stand. Result more luke warm water. Ordered pre-dinner drinks - arrived with an excess of ice which disguised small measures. Ordered starters - no bread served with them until ordered separately. Arrived after starters had been eaten. Wine was being poured every time a guest took a sip - intrusive and clearly intended to try and get a further wine order rather than being helpful. The restaurant was only half full. No excuse for all of this. Spent £400 on 6 covers. Won&#039;t be coming back.

A large group of us visited this restaurant for lunch.Despite pre-ordering, two people didn't their starter until we chased the staff for it, one person was brought the wrong starter. But the quality was good, we all agreed the starters were the best course. The main courses were all poor. The steaks massively varied in how they were cooked - the menu had said all steaks would be medium, this was not the case, they varied from well done to medium rare. The size also varied a lot, some half the size of others. They were also gristly and unseasoned. The fish and chips - the fish was greasy. The cheeseburger - the meat patty was too big for the bun which made it hard to eat. The chicken schnitzel - hard, dry as cardboard and tasteless. The spring risotto - tasty but tiny. Desserts - baked cheesecake was heavy and tasteless, again portions varied massively. The chocolate fondant was ok...Teas and coffees were ordered - wrong ones arrived.Very disappointing.

We visited this venue as part of a large party, on arrival we had coctails, our group comprised of about 60 people. after a while we was ushered into the dining area and was served promptly with our startef which was very nice. then it all went wrong.main course came, steak, you would normally expect to be asked how you want it cooked no not us, just soaked in blood, anyway the steak came, after a very long wait after asking where the chips were they came, but the steaks had gone cold by then.the desert waseventually served, that was nice, to finish oh yes coffee, my wife got a cup but after about 20 mins we had to ask where the rest was, these eventually arrived.a large resturant in Westminster should be doing better ! lets see what there response is ! of should I wait and have to ask for one !

A disappointing meal - crispy duck salad (except the duck was not crisp), followed by fish and chips (fish OK, chips made from bruised potatoes). The service was really bad, our waiter was over familiar, took ages to take our orders, made comments about the fact that we did not wish to order wine (though we did buy expensive bottles of water), and served the food either by plonking it down in front of you, or, even worse, stretching across diners to serve others, rather than walk around to the other side of the table. The restaurant looked as if it had seen better days. Not what I would expect from a Taj hotel.
