I hadn't visited Searcys for a while but ate there 3 times in the past 2 months. I really enjoyed the fish and chips - the haddock was perfectly buttered and cooked, the tartar sauce and mushy peas were delicious, and the triple cooked chips were ace. I had fish pie the other time which I thought was delicious, but the portion was far too small - it was almost like a small bite portion. I also had bavarois when it was on the menu in Aug which was very delicately made. The ambience is great - a bit art deco but also with a sophisticated, modern feel, and I liked the TV screens. I think there is a young female staff who may need more training, but in general the service was good and plesant.

I have been to this restaurant several times and always impressed with the food, service and ambience. On this occasion the food was tasty, but portions were small and, therefore, very expensive. Service was not up to the usual standard, that I associate with this restaurant. Throughout, the staff seemed to be hurrying us.

Lovely spot to enjoy a drink and relax a little. Staff very attentive and helpful. We sat in a little booth which offered privacy. Was rather cold and the radiator in the booth didn’t work but can see that with the door closed it could be rather snug and cosy. Maybe offering blankets would be a nice idea

I went in for lunch around 3pm. I was seated fairly quickly, given menus, and immediately ordered a cocktail and water. The drinks came, but 25 minutes went by and no one offered to even look at me. By then I needed to get food before my train left so I called someone over and asked for the bill. The server said, "Oh, you're not having lunch?" No. Because I sat here for 25 minutes with no attention. The place wasn't busy. There were more servers than customers. I should have asked them to comp my overpriced cocktail. Rather, they should have offered.

The food was really good. We had three courses and all of them were fresh and delicious. The drinks were pretty slow to come out and the glasses had lots of lint in them from polishing - this is not the worst thing, as the glasses have obviously been polished, but we were confused what it was at first! The service was good, they got our order in quickly and were very nice. The ambiance was really nice, it is quite large and was not even at 30% capacity but we still enjoyed ourselves. It’s a nice restaurant inside and we actually enjoyed how quiet it was.

feedback "Have been a few times previously. Probably now overpriced for what is served although really nice and tasty could probably get more for money in a similar setting in London. Bit slow taking an order for initial drinks which meant I was still drinking my cocktail when food arrived with my wine. Lovely setting and decor always love coming there and team friendly and helpful. I have always had an issue with everyone being able to walk in and use the toilets. Paying £200 for a lunch and having to wait to be seated yet anyone just walks in and uses the toilets!! They are not very clean - there was a tissue on the floor of mine with fresh blood on it and my husband said someone was cleaning their teeth and having a wash in the men’s cloakroom!! Wouldn’t expect this in a fairly expensive restaurant - why are the toilets not just for customers use? Otherwise enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back.

Very disappointing experience for us for lunch on a Friday. Service was disorganised, slow, our mains had been forgotten and we had to ask again for our side dishes. Both the mussels and salmon were overcooked and dry. Very expensive for what you get and there are much better places in the area.

First things first, some have mentioned that finding the restaurant can be somewhat difficult. Had the same issue, so go to St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel by walking up the slope, go to the far right of the frontage of the building, through the arch, then go to the left along the Upper Concourse until you reach the Brasserie. Service was exceptional and not rushed, location was immaculate, and each course was served with a comfortable gap in between each serving. The food arrives as a work of art, albeit the pork belly portion was minuscule and was overshadowed by the charred hispi cabbage on the plate. The Searcys gin-cured salmon gravadlax was outstanding, although my favourite course was the pudding - Rhubarb Eton Mess. Great selection of Champagnes available, which was not surprising as Searcys famous Champagne Bar is pretty much opposite the front door of the restaurant.

This used to be my number one meeting place for coffee or lunch in London, couldn’t be more convenient for anyone travelling to see me. Sorry to say that the prices have rocketed….thats sort of okay, they have everywhere in hospitality. What’s perhaps less acceptable is that the portions have shrunk by an even greater amount. The attached picture of the cheese plate, an eye watering £15, supposedly for two to share, is a good example. The main course ravioli was so x pieces for which the food value can’t have cost the business more than 50p. All in all not good. I don’t see us returning anytime soon.

Very calm and civilised atmosphere to grab a bite to eat between the exiting the train and going on to Heathrow. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Took the prix fixe menu of heritage beetroot and carrot salad, chicken, sun dried tomato stew and wonderfully creamy whipped potatoes and rhubarb Eton mess… a triumph of crisp sweet/tart crystallised rhubarb on meringue and proper whipped double cream. Coffee was also good. Nothing to fault. Recommend highly.

When we arrived the restaurant did not have our booking even though I had responded to the text message they had sent to confirm. The second issue was that they had allowed us to book at 11.30 but the kitchen was closed between 11.30 and 12 to allow them to reset between the breakfast menu and the lunch menu! That all said however the staff were lovely and very attentive the food was delicious and we were served drinks before 12 as they ‘didn’t need to go to the kitchen for those’

Went for the Sunday Jazz Feast - bottomless brunch. We don’t drink so we enquired about non alcoholic options. Was pleasantly surprised that they offered a just bottomless food option where we could order drinks separately. Felt like this was a good start, but that was probably the only good surprise we experienced. We were quite disappointed that there were no oysters despite all the PR and reviews saying unlimited oysters. All over IG and Tik Tok it’s reviews about oysters, so that was disappointing. Felt that there were not a huge amount of options for seafood and starters/salads. The roasts looked good but found the meat was seasoned very heavily with salt. The gravy/jus was very watery. Must say the carver was very friendly though! Most of the other hot food (sausages with mash, chicken, risotto) were cold and looked unappetising due to looking dry and congealed. I understand it’s difficult on a buffet to keep things looking fresh but the temperature of the hot food was just too cold. Also not sure why they felt the need to slice the sausages in half? Dessert selection was also very limited and the cheese selection placed on the same table which had a very overwhelming smell. Definitely put me off, I didn’t eat any desserts. Service wise I noticed the tables around us were getting a good level of service, having their bottomless drinks topped up regularly. Maybe it was because we were just ordering our drinks separately and were not consuming alcohol I felt like we didn’t get the same attentive service. Waiters were having conversations with other guests and tables and we barely got a sideways glance. Took ages for us to get someone’s attention to order more drinks, get a top up of water etc. I was tempted to try to ask if I could order oysters but couldn’t get the attention of a waiter so just gave up. Even asking for the bill took longer than needed. Being busy we wanted to free up our table promptly for them. On our departure we barely got a thank you for paying nor a goodbye. Overall feel a bit underwhelmed and slightly cheated that one of the star attractions of this brunch buffet was oysters that weren’t even there. But the contrast in service to other tables and us was what really made this a sour experience. Although vastly more expensive, will probably stick to The Ned or even something like Nobu Shoreditch bottomless brunch.

Attended an "Introduction to the World of Champagne" conducted by the Group's Director of Food & Drink, Martin Dibben. As a group of about 16 we met at Europe's longest champagne bar (at least that was the boast when it opened in 2012) on the upper level adjacent to the Eurostar trains. It is an exciting position but far too noisy when trains are in the station so we quickly retired to the main restaurant. A private room had been created with ample space, seating and low noise levels so we could hear the fascinating introduction. Five different champagnes had been selected each with an outstanding canapes which perfectly complemented the wine. For instance, with the Drappier, Carte d'Or Brut NV we had a hot Croque Monsieur and Quails eggs with caviar in a light pastry flan. Then with the Veuve Cliquot Demi Sec NV, a tiny piece of lemon meringue was offered. Such beautifully prepared nibbles taken with lovely champagne. I was close to gastronomic heaven. Add Martin's well pitched and informative guide and our two hours simply flew by. This is a highly recommended way to spend an afternoon with both friends and new faces.

The charcuterie board possibly cost them £1.50 to make

What a treat having Valentines dinner in this wonderful Brasserie in the stunning and iconic St. Pancras station. We were warmly welcomed by the team and Lukasz the GM. Our waiter Mario Pipo was charming and very attentive and helpful. We started with a glass of bubbly and had the 3 course special Valentines menu. Lukasz and Mario suggested a bottle of Albarino which was the perfect choice with the salmon. The dining room is a chic brasserie and exudes timeless charm. It's warm and unpretentious and the banquette seating creates a cosy atmosphere. For us it was the perfect spot to meet friends with easy access by tube and trains. I wouldn’t bother with the Sunday Jazz lunch again, I would pay more and go elsewhere. They are under staffed and couple of the men waiting tables couldn’t have cared less (walking past dirty plates, chatting amongst themselves having told us to “wait a minute” etc) . The roast was only just lukewarm. We were served exactly 3 glasses of the included fizz in 90 mins - and once we had to ask. Luckily that was enough but I wouldn’t call that unlimited. The first time I came here months ago it was fab. Lots of great staff, glasses refilled regularly and hot food. Will try The Ned next time.

The food and service was impeccable at Searcys. We were well attended to, and the staff were excellent - we never felt rushed or ignored. Presentation of the food was amazing - every course had its little bit of detail to make it that bit more special. My girlfriend had the mussels with mini baguettes for her main, which was very flavoursome and the mussels tasted super-fresh. I had the battered haddock with triple-cooked fries and it was lovely - the tartare sauce was not quite as tart as standard tartare sauce, which was a good thing because it can often overwhelm the taste of the fish. When I originally made the reservation, I'd nominated it as a 'birthday' event (my girlfriend's birthday), but had forgotten it was asked when booking online - so when the waiter turned up at the end of the meal with a plate that had chocolate writing that said "Happy birthday", it finished off a lovely evening at the restaurant. Overall, a great experience - definitely somewhere I'd book again for a special event. The cost of the meal is out of my usual budget, so it's hard to recommend if you're looking for "a dinner with value". But Searcys can't be faulted in the slightest for its great service and tasty dishes.

I took my daughter for a late lunch and the atmosphere was lovely. The service was excellent from several attentive waiters. The champagne was perfectly chilled and the rosemary nuts plentiful and delicious. She had a peanut and chickpea burger while I had a beef burger. Both were very tasty and clearly homemade. My only quibble is with the triple cooked chips which had been sprinkled with salt, rather more salt than either of us is used to. We should have mentioned it straightaway, but we didn't. So I only mention this now so that any potential customers who don't like much salt on their chips are forewarned. They were excellent chips, otherwise, crisp, plentiful and non-greasy. I also had a half of draught Estella and that was well chilled and very good. The staff were quite happy to keep serving us tap water with top-ups and plenty of ice cubes as well. I would certainly go again - the atmosphere was lovely and the staff are professional and friendly - but I would ask them not to pre-salt my chips!

We are so disappointed. This was booked as a first; a late Christmas treat for my partner, who loves champagne. We were full of anticipation, and were welcomed warmly. All was fine, until, the gentleman who had looked after us, asked, as is customary, how was our meal. We were honest, having already discussed this, that both our meals, were just about warm. We were already halfway through them, needing to catch a train. The food was delicious, but once we made that comment, the one charming, helpful gentleman gave us the cold shoulder. All pleasantries were out of the window, especially when settling the bill! We were not rude, but don't ask if you don't want honest feedback! In addition, my expectations of the ladies loo were dashed. No loo roll in my cubicle, toilet paper on the floor. It resembled a night club after a busy evening, not the condition I expected from a well known establishment. Sorry, we shall not return.

We go to Kings Cross Station quite frequently to drop off our niece for her train and have tended to struggle a bit to find different places for lunch which are close to that station, are good places to eat and get round all the challenges for access - she needs support for walking and my wife uses a wheelchair. Searcys ticks the boxes. St Pancras Station where the Brasserie is located is something of a wind tunnel and frosty weather in the minus centigrade bracket doesn't help. However, the restaurant was warm and welcoming. The menu is well priced standards - the fish and chips which I went for was delicious. The myrtille tart was just right for filling any vacant corners. A bottle of Picpoul was decently priced and just was was needed. Yes, it was a good experience and I have to make a specific mention of the staff who were friendly and welcoming, as well as offering helpful advice on what we should choose. Plus the venue has a well designed wheelchair accessible Wc other than the door being a spot on the heavy side. Definitely an addition to the list of places we need to frequent.

I’ve been served mocktails that should contain the rosé & this has been swapped for soda water which obviously affects the taste. The same charge for the drink has also been applied which was surprising, disappointing & frustrating. The actual main course of Xmas dinner was surprisingly small and didn't have some of the usual trimmings - like pigs in blankets or parsnips. However what was there did taste very good. The wine was quite overpriced at £33 for a pinot grigio. The main thing that shocked us though was it closed up at 10.30pm on a Friday night. Fantastic experience. We came for lunch on Saturday. Could not fault the food or the service. We were looked after by Mario who was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items. Most importantly he never let our glasses run dry. The food was delicious and...

We visited the brasserie on a Saturday night. We decided to go for the 2 course set menu, which was £25 per head, so not cheap in my opinion! The pork terrine starter was extremely small, it came with one small piece of cold toast....

What an amazing experience. Me and my friends went out for a brunch there, and we immediately felt so welcomed. The atmosphere is magic, but what impressed us the most was the kindness and professionalism of the staff. The manager is such an exquisite person,...

Visited today for their jazz Sunday brunch. Right up until the end i would have given this place 5 stars for service, value and ambience. It’s all buffet style with bottomless champagne. We were blown away with the service we received and the standard of...

Was nice but overpriced. And our waitress whilst very friendly didn’t have a clue - obviously hadn’t had any training on the menu or service. Very much an airport style restaurant trying to be something more. Food was nice.

Staff spent too much time talking amongst themselves. Missed items from our order. Waiters had terrible body odour. Did not ask if we wanted more drinks. Size of the Haddock portion was a joke. Absolutely tiny. Waiter walked off twice without taking orders from the...

Sunday Brunch with live Jazz. The service wasn’t great. One waitress quite snippy. Plates were left for ages before anyone came to clear them. Took ages to catch someone’s eye to order drinks, and the tools while for them to arrive. All this a bit...

I was quite shocked to discover that VAT was not included in any of the items on the menu in the cocktail bar and once this and the discretionary service charge was added the bill was over £10 more than I anticipated. The service and...

Four of us had dinner here. We wanted somewhere stylish but not too expensive. It was a Thursday and many places were busy. This brasserie was an oasis of calm and sophistication despite being in a busy railway station. We had the set menu which at £29 for three courses was excellent value and delicious. Service could not have been better by a waiter who could easily have been singing opera on an insurance comparison site. Recommend.

Terrible service. Popped in for drinks to treat my sister in law for her birthday. We were seated and then ignored for 15 minutes whilst others who came in after us were served. Walked out.

You would think a restaurant in a train station would be used to serving people efficiently and accurately. Unfortunately, the service here was abysmal, we were there for almost an hour and a half, our first round of coffees took nearly twenty minutes, our toasts were burnt, our eggs were overcooked - and all of this in a restaurant where only 5% of the tables were filled. I was surprised to see such a lovely restaurant with so many last-minute bookings available on OpenTable - now I see why.

Had a very nice stay this October. All staff was nice and helpfull, even borrowing me an umbrella. You can hear some trains, but not loud enough to disturb your sleep if you are tired after all day sightseeing London. Close to Euston station so perfect of you visiting Warner Bros Studios
