Recently taken over...I must say the new owners haven't got a clue.all products are cooked in burnt oil and leaves a lot to be desired, I'll never use the place ever again

Would not really go to the trouble to review this but had a mixed kebab worst ever.. dry as … never going there again …. Didn’t happen in shens day

Had mini fish last night bones in fish and fish pink! Raw. Had one few weeks ago exactly the same. Won’t be eating here again

Had pie and chips last night and food was really awful. Pie was really dry like it had been left in the warmer for days. I think it’s changed hands as food is usually really nice. Won’t be going back, very dissatisfied as I have been going there for years

Have always enjoyed the chips from this chip shop. Just been tonight and it has obviously changed hands and it is the worse chips i have ever had. Burnt chips and the curry sauce was hideous. Tasted as bad as it looks. Will not becoming back for overpriced rubbish

I ordered from here in the past never had a problem until now, over an hour I was waiting for my food they wouldt answer the phone to me and when I finally got my order it was disgusting looked like yesterday's food definitely not fresh. Just to let you all know it's under new management. Wouldt advise ordering from here

I went there and the food is so delicious and have never been better go and get your meal or you missing goods the fish is wonderful and the chips are the best it made my family happy and they even do online services. BEST CHIP SHOP EVER!

all though the order was wrong it was nice we ordered kebab with no salad but got mixed kebab with salad

Best chippy in chadsmoor hednesford, always greeted with a smile and a hallo, chips are always hot, fresh and as chippy chips should be everything else I have tried has been delish and all reasonably priced

Food was gorgeous as always best chippy around! Only let down this time was how the fish was wrapped up all the paper stuck to the fish and pulled off the batter :(

The minimum order value has increased unnecessarily and the quality of the chips has decreased with smaller potatoes being used. i'm unlikely to re-order.

Delivery driver went to wrong house, left food on their doorstep

The food was delivered very quickly and was hot. Unfortunately it was not very nice. This was my first time ordering from here and will also be my last. Great service let down by very average food.

Foods great but every time I've ordered they never send the cans of pop

Food was actually amazing.Fish was perfectly cooked, chips were lovely, food arrived late, but with a valid reason. Will definitely be ordering from here again, shame that the cans of Rio were missing 😢

The chips were delicious however the fish, the most expensive part of meal was I edible - SO SALTY!! Burned my lips trying to eat a bit there was so much salt on it. Delivered early and nice chap - just unfortunate couldn't eat the main part.

My order was wrong, I ordered one doner kebab and one mixed meat kebab. I got 2 donor kebabs.

SHOCKING... large donner box not enough to fill a small child absolutely shocking, and to say I used station Rd chippy for 30 plus years, this is st road family business, totally shocked.

Popped in here on an impulse after grabbing some stuff from the shop next door. I hadn’t been to a chip shop in years but I smelled the food cooking and couldn’t resist. I only ordered a medium chips (£2.60 at time of writing) and got a pretty good sized portion of piping hot, proper chippy chips. The portion was large enough to provide a light meal for two adults and a 6 year old. The chips were fresh and very, very tasty. I don’t know what potato variety they use but it has a rich, almost buttery taste. The chips were not swimming in oil unlike many places but they also weren’t dried out. They were fluffy, creamy and just a little crisp. Best chip shop chips I have ever had. The staff were really lovely. Friendly, cheerful, helpful and with a pleasant, bright smile. They were very concerned whether my chips would make it home ok in the drizzle and quickly offered me a bag. The shop itself is clean and bright. The menu is extensive without being absurd, offering all that is the very best of the traditional British chippy. Very impressed and will be returning very, very soon for something a bit more substantial.

Couldn’t fault the food. Delivered at requested time. If I was being picky, the difference in size between regular and large chips really isn’t much. Will order from here again.

Isn’t there a quality control before the meal leaves the restaurant, we have had bad meals, but this one took the biscuit. The chips were soaking in grease and the kebabs were most probably last night’s batch as they were so dry and stale to taste. Never trust reviews as it is most probably their family and mate writing them. Never again!!!!!!

Food was lovely as always, what surprised us most was how quick it was delivered! We said ASAP, ordered and within 15 minutes it was at the door! Was on the cool side of just right temperature wise for me (I like my food so hot it's practically burning my mouth), but 30 seconds on high in the microwave made it perfect for me. All in all, super happy and will be ordering again!

Ordered from here many times never a problem, I'm guessing the normal delivery driver wasn't on tonight as they delivered my food to the wrong street and a old gentleman walked to my house with the food,which was only warm by this time, tried ringing the shop but no answer my address was clearly on the receipt attached to the bag if they had bothered to look properly,

Would recommend. Good food and early delivery as per usual.
