Staff are great and very friendly I, always look forward to our fresh fish and chips from sea bridge fish bar. All food is hot and delicious. The fish is so fresh, meaty it melts in your mouth beautiful with great chips.

Called in Friday lunch time at1.15 for 2 Large fish and chips. The lady serving said they only had 2small fish left and we close at 1.30 They would not cook me two fish with 15 mins before they closed not very good service sign of the times eh!

My experience was great, the staff were friendly and I got what I ordered quickly.

Used to be a great place but take away tonight was not good. Ordered scampi, said it came with tarta sauce, no sauce came. The meal was tepid and not hot. Given that I don't live too far away it should have been piping hot. Take aways just seem to be very much the same these days, your orders are often not right and the food isn't appetising. Think I'll avoid in future.

Ordered from here the first time tonight. I have never seen fluorescent green mushy peas before , chips were disgusting and the large cod that I ordered was tiny I’m not sure it was even cod . I will not return

Fish and chips £12 it was the dregs and the fish smelt off i won’t be going there again. It used to be brilliant but that’s gone.

Honestly used to be an amazing fish bar, but all of a sudden they don’t take card in the day but do in the evenings so if you’re like me and only take your phone as payment you can’t just pop the cash point, they have means to pay by card clearly. Secondly, quality has gone down hill compared to a few years back, you don’t get half as much as prior and the price is through the roof. I went for a few sausages and chips today and a pot of gravy and it cost me well over £20!! It wouldn’t be as bad if you got a decent amount. And lastly, they prioritise the online orders, so if you pop in to order expect to be waiting a while!

We rang an order through just as they were closing, they stayed open for us to call and collect and the food was excellent.

This used to be a fantastic chippy but the past few months it's really gone down hill, food isn't as tasty, smaller portions and when you order with specific instructions they can't seem to follow them and food turns up incorrect. I've been using this chippy for years but I won't be using them again in a hurry, it's a shame .

Always use this place as the food is tasty and good.

The best fish and chip shop in the city

Great little chip shop and always my go to! Staff are always lovely and even when it is busy, they always seem to have whatever you order ready to go. It's very rarely there is a wait once you order.

Been visiting this chippy for quite a few years but my last visit and I really do mean my LAST visit was pathetic. Long queue and we were told we had to wait for chips, ok fair enough it’s busy, as we were waiting along came the just eat or whoever they deliver for drivers straight to the front leaning over the counter and no manners whatsoever. Chips were cooked and started to be taken out. Guess who got the chips? Not the people who actually went to the chip shop and waited patiently, oh no they were all given to the just eat, deliveroo, whoever the hell they were drivers while everyone in the shop were treated like total mugs. Will not be visiting again. Ridiculous service.

This is our favourite fish and chips shop in our local area.we travel about 4 miles for this shop.The chips are not too thick just perfect size .The oil is obviously changed regularly. The fish is perfectly cooked ,it is quite thick the batter is thin and crispy,not raw inside.It is truly lovely .

Service is so slow and the staff, especially the owner/manager love to gossip instead of serving customers. The food is average at best and is very over priced.

It’s not very often that we have fish and chips, won’t be having them again after this latest experience, I ordered, large fish, large chips and large mushy peas,I was charged £15.60, absolutely ridiculous price, I will definitely not be going back to this chip shop……ever again !

Awesome Kebab, and friendly staff. Despite being busy it didn't take long to get served and was worth the detour from my long drive.

Came here after seeing so many good reviews and I was not disappointed! The place is clean, staff very friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing👏 fresh and tasty fish and chips, portions are huge, well worth the money! Need to go back and try the gyros asap

Waited over an hour and a half for food to be delivered. Nothing turned up so we phoned up to get an update, we were told its just been picked up and was on the way. No apology. Waited some more.. Never turned up so cancelled. This is not how to run a chip shop. Rubbish!!! Sad really as other reviews say the food (when it turns up) is good

I am never left wanting when visiting this place. My most recent visit was shortly after opening and I walked in, to be met with the incandescent glow of the heat lamps, and the freshly fried products sitting happily as they awaited the orders coming in. The service was quick and friendly, I was guided through each step with expertise and poise. Nothing was left to chance. The food was fresh and tasty, the batter was crisp and the chips were beautiful. I would highly recommend this place for all your fish and chip needs. Their kebabs meat was to die for (I recommend the gyros), I personally enjoyed the seasonal special battered pig in blanket, this was not a favourite of the rest of my family. Overall, this is a great chip shop, well priced and good quality - can't go wrong.

Impeccable service that leaves me walking away with a smile on my face following every visit, despite only being there for a few minutes- due to their efficiency with the order, the customer service is outstanding. Every member of staff i have ever come across is accommodating, pleasant and friendly. Overall fab service and the food never disappoints🫶

Food is always freshly cooked so don’t mind waiting a little longer to know everything is fresh and hot. Staff are always polite and welcoming.

Excellent service and on time, which was much sooner than expected. The food was outstanding and hot when it arrived, and it was a very large order for 14 people, all of whom really enjoyed, especially the usual quality of the fish. Right after two visits to this chip shop l have had very serious runs and sickness first lot was really bad couldn't eat for 3 to 4 days after then last night same again sickness and runs really angry that you pay good money then your ill never use that chip shop again.

Chips are decent, fish is good, curry sauce is lovely, Sausages good, batter on fish is not golden and crunchy, its usually a bit dark flat and thin which makes little difference to the taste, looks like a beer batter. Value is good though, £6.70 for a good size box with loads of chips and small fish, and curry sauce.. well worth the money.

Think the owner needs a reality check. Whenever I have visited, they have not had the full menu available and show no inclination to cook anything fresh. Large portions but expensive and somewhat bland, sorry but would not recommend. Oh, and the owner is very arrogant

Ordered a delivery from here tonight for the first time Arrived on time, piping hot Could not believe how big the 'small' fish box was! Beautiful fish perfectly cooked, perfect chips and peas, battered sausage and chips/ gravy amazing! Highly recommended! Thanks

Food not great , customer service non existent . My daughter had a potato fritter.... with no potato .. i messaged them with no reply ... save your money or go to riverside which is amazing food and better value for money ..

Very disappointed, items missed on our order and outrageous prices for what we recieved. Won't bother again , lesson learned. Tried it twice just to make sure.

Sea bridge Fish and chips has now became a weekly treat. Cod and chips served by smith’s ng staff always up for a giggle. Fantastic.

Good local fish and chips, this is the only place we go to these days, friendly owners, nice food, they also use cardboard packaging instead of plastic which is great.

Decidedly cold chips were given to me in my order. I have given the place a miss this week as if I want a microwave meal I will do one out of my freezer. Not happy with my favourite chippy. You must improve your standards on a Saturday night

The first time I have been to The Seabridge Fish Bar and have to say, really impressed. The venue was lovely and clean, staff were all really helpful and the food, absolutely great and great value for what we ordered! The quality of the fish was also brilliant. Thank you and I will be back

Friendly staff, quick service, not tried click and collect before so cannot comment on that. The food quality is amazing, portion sizes are good, never had to wait long for anything.

We ordered for my family and 4 and we were not disappointed as usual. I had fried chicken and the actual chicken was juicy and delicious. However, the batter was a little burnt. But I still recommend this place and will be back soon.

Pros: tasty fish and chips Cons: cash only, and the staff all handle the food and the cash without sanitising or washing.

1st time here, ordered online from their website there is a small inconvenience I'm not one for sauce but the website you have to order sauce there's no option for none. food ordered large fish & chips, pot of curry sauce, large sausage & chips beans, meat and potato pie chips & gravy all 3 meals were piping hot but chips were soft I personally like a bit of a crunch on the outer edge. Seemed to be a busy little place when I picked up.

Very friendly staff and everything on the menu is yummy! Our family favourites are the sausages (including the battered sausage), doner meat and tandoori chicken kebabs, small fish as it has no skin and the pies. The chips are the best in the area. Prices are reasonable but about 20% more when ordering for delivery via just eat. Only downside as a customer is that it gets very very busy with long queues sometimes, but obviously that's a good thing for Stav and the team and shows it's a top notch chippy!

We very rarely get takeaways, but we’ve had yet another lovely one from the Seabridge Fish Bar. We ordered 2 small fish, kebab and a large portion of chips, The kebab was lovely, and I simply couldn’t eat all the meat, and have saved some for tomorrow; couldn’t fault the fish - lovely, crisp batter, delicious moist fish; and the portion of chips did 3 adults! (With some to spare).

So gooood! Ordered from these guys on Just Eat. They substituted me two small fish because they were out of large ones, and gave me free batter bits because I asked for them in my order notes :) All of the food was excellent, but the highlight for me was their calamari - super tender with a good batter, and none of that weird chewiness that bad calamari can have. Thanks to these guys for being so good and making my deadline crunch a little easier. :)

Ordered for the first time, food was delivered hot even though it was a good three and a half miles away. Food was very tasty and thoroughly enjoyed by us all, would definitely recommend 😊

The shop is always spotless, the staff friendly and polite. Today the fish was greasy and luke warm, the chips were also luke warm. Sorry but we felt disappointed.

Fish although large the batter tends to be rather oily that makes the fish in batter rather heavy.

I don’t often fancy fish and chips but when I do how I wish I could find a good place to buy them. I tried here tonight the place is clean, the staff are friendly , the chips were ok but the fish was terrible. The batter was soggy and the fish cold , so disappointed. Save your money just get chips and gravy instead.

The owner is now offering alternatives like prawns and calamari this can only be a positive step forward.

I work all over the country and always look for a good fish and chip shop on my travels as I love fish a chips. There aren’t many places I’ve been that even come close to being acceptable as decent. But I’m lucky enough to live only a few minutes walk from the seabirdge fish bar. A can safely say that it’s in my top 5 fish and chip shops that I’ve visited in the last 25 years of travelling around the country.
