Massively disappointed with our order from sea pebbles. Close to 50 pound for 2 fish and chips. This is what we got

Absolutely shocking, smallest fish ever for the most expensive price. Food was cold. Fish had hardly any batter on it. Sea pebbles used to be top quality but not anymore. 2 large fish and large chips ordered. Fish are similar size to battered sausage

I order my take-away from here, while the prices are on the pricey side i must admit it is definitely worth every penny. The staff is lovely and the service is fast. Would highly recommend to friends and family!

Very disrespectful and rude! There were two ladies at the front, and the slightly larger one was especially rude. When my dad, went to collect it she tossed the food at him. She approached him in a very disrespectful and rude manner. He felt deeply disrespected and discriminated against. The owner is a very polite and friendly man; however, we were extremely unhappy with the service.

THE fish n chip place in Hatch End. Good food, fair prices, lovely staff and great ambience. Perfect for a long catch up with friends and stealing chips from each other!

Always great food. Ordered using the app. Cheaper than uber eats. No queue as ordered in advance. Food fresh and hot.

Disappointed to not get what was ordered. Asked for skinless and extra crispy batter. Received soggy batter and skin on. Good chips and good peas.

We had a lovely meal here last night. We had the special Dover sole which was delicious. The chips were perfect and flowery. The gherkins were lovely. We intend to go back there very soon. The table service from Alina and team was very good. I would recommend making a booking or reservation, and being on time, as it is understandably popular.

food is below average Quay Fish and Chips is far better in my opinion and so is that place in Pinner. Chips are soggy fish is greasy. The staff are rude when ordering a takeaway, can’t speak for in the restaurant itself. Overall not a great experience

I have visited this venue twice a month or so for about three years. On every occasion the food has been super. However, for the first time ever, today I was let down. Soggy, off-white fish and at least half of the chips were inedible. Very disappointing. Certainly bad value at £40 or so. I'm wondering if there was a new chef working there today.

Terrible fish, terrible chips. Who in their right mind serves chips that greasy in a styrofoam container for them to be mushy and stick to each other? They were disgusting. As for the fish, it was dark and greasy with no taste and looked like it had been fried in crude oil. I tried this place as my favourite chippy changed ownership. Needless to say, I was not impressed and will not be returning .

So fresh and so clean! Food is top notch and you can tell everything is made fresh. The takeaway is speedy and organised. The restaurant is made very welcoming by George and the team with their fantastic and friendly atmosphere. Will absolutely be going back!

My partner and I visited today. Beautiful freshly cooked Cod and Chips. Delicious food. Restaurant service superb, and spotlessly clean. So much better than Harry Ramsden:) Looking forward to going again. Can't fault it

The best fish and chips in Hatch End, takeaway or eat in, very busy Friday nights. we went for the lunch deal great value. tartar sauce and mushy peas and curry sauce has to be tried. Any kind of fish with or without batter cooked to order, whichever day you go the food is fresh and delicious. Excellent staff, service and always friendly Only place to go for fish and chips!

Have been using restaurant for at least 20 years and have always recommended to friends but last six months it’s really gone downhill , stuff missing when ordering , chips full of bits and cod roe really sloshy not crispy, it’s hard to get out of box it’s so sloppy , last night I ordered cod roe and when I bit into it there was stone or bit metal that cracked my tooth , I phoned shop and sent message nobody got back to me , I’d never use again it’s got really bad there unfortunately as it used to be best chip shop

I went with my parents after a very long time. The boss gave us a very warm welcome and service was friendly and excellent The cajun fish was delicious! Will definitely go back again.

I had a delicious cod in batter and chips. The fish was tasty and the chips were served freshly cooked so nice and hot. My mother had the grilled skate and chips plus a nice salad. She absolutely loved her meal but couldn’t finish all the chips. We both had a shandy to drink seeing as it was such a hot summer’s day. So all-in-all a great lunch. Staff were very friendly and service was good. It’s a shame I live abroad otherwise I would definitely come to Sea Pebbles more often!

Attractive and clean fish restaurant and take-away. We all ordered haddock fried in batter. The fish was flaky and moist whilst the batter was light, crunchy and golden - yummy! The Greek salad was fresh and plentiful; the chips perfectly cooked and not at all greasy. Our guests always travel from Palmer's Green to eat here as they love it so much!

Just went there for take away fish and chip supper for the family. Spent £45 for three people for meal that we couldn't finish. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Excellent food. Really tasty and a great selection. We had fish goujons, cos fillet, chips, mushy peas, onion rings, pickled onions, curry sauce and homemade tartar sauce. Everything tasted really good and was very fresh. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to others. One of the best Fand C places in London.

Friendly service, nice fish and chips. Good to see they have a grilled fish option if you don't want the fish fried. A bit pricey for fish and chips if your seating in the restaurant. Then again they do have additional costs and you do get a service with a smile.

Sea Pebbles could not have been more welcoming. As a person who suffers from #foodallergies to allergens that haven’t yet made it on to the official list (#rapeseedoil, palm oil/fat, chillies, flax), I’m often turned away or made to feel unwelcome. Sea Pebbles, and Das in particular, went the extra mile, made me feel 100% safe and so welcome. Thank you so much!! We’ll be back!

Pretty standard chippy, probably the most expensive, had spring rolls (250percent more to eat in than take away)for starter and it was more expensive than the spring rolls at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge! Nice waiter tho, but for the money, you could go for an Indian/Italian. Veggie option was a bit sad, decent portion of chips tho :)

Been using Sea Pebbles for 15 years. The last three times, the food is so bad I can’t believe they are cooking it in the same place. Greasy, awful food. Gonna have to find somewhere new

I won't beat about the bush. It's superb. It's been there for years and kept it's high standard. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious. There's a 'buzz' about it - lots of atmosphere. Not surprisingly, it's very popular with the locals, such as myself.

Hello, One of your staff is very bad in your restaurant. I am a delivery rider but I feel like one types of bad and rude behaviour was with me. Your staff is working in that restaurant and she was doing work at till. Without my fold she was fight with me. I just standing there for my delivery. I don’t know she is manager or not. So just I telling your restaurant BOSS or OWNER (don’t teach Manager and supervisor) please teach your staff how to behave and give a respect to others. Here is no one is big and no one is small. Everyone is same. If your staff is giving respect to the customer, why not to the rider? I am a professional business person not everyday doing a delivery. So please give everyone respect. I 1000% feel like she was doing racism between to customers and delivery riders. I hope you understand what happened with me. Thanks.

This is by far the best fish and chip shop for miles. Always making food, fresh, hot and tasty.

The woman at the counter is the most ignorant person I have ever encountered at a counter of a fish and chip shop ,serving cold food by stealth into a bag only to be discovered when at home ,the oldest trick in a deviant fish and chip shop ,customers beware and watch her ,as this is my third and last time dealing with her.

My stepson and myself had scampi and chips beans and mushy peas his partner had cod goujons and chips the food was lovely and piping hot when we got it also we had beers and coke was very reasonable prices, well done sea pebbles was wicked

The food is okay. I have been going to this restaurant for the past 20 years. I am giving one star, because the staff, especially the women they have employed to serve the food at the takeaway counter are very rude. The restaurant looses credibility by employing staff like this. Rude staff puts me off going to sea pebbles. Several other customers have mentioned that the staff are rude.

I've been visiting Sea Pebbles for the last 20 years. It's as wonderful today as I was then. My favourite go to place.

We were a group of 11 people who were visiting and must say that the food did not disappoint. Though there was an initial miscommunication on our walk-in versus booking facility, the staff were courteous with us and got us a great table to be with the family together and ensured we had a great service through out. Definitely recommend this place for good authentic fish and chips! PS- their side sauces were pretty good too!

I oredered through Uber Eats and the picture there shows with chips, £15 for a god damn fried cod fish? Order came with just the fish and when I called the store the clerk told me forget the chips you only ordered the fish. You serious? This store is scamming people, AVOID AT ALL COST

Absolutely first class. You won't find a better chippy to eat in. Good sized portions, had the skate, lovely crispy batter and ample fresh chips which seem to stay not forever. No grease, will definitely be coming back and I can't recommend the place enough. Friendly, helpful staff, will lit and clean.

I went there with a friend yesterday and another friend, whom I had arranged to meet today, also suggested it - and I was delighted to go there two days running! Need I say more?

Expensive but was really enjoying the fish and chips until I found two large pieces of plastic in the fish. Will never order from here again.

Don’t bother ordering online. They will make you wait in line with the delivery drivers and not treat you like a paying customer. Also it’s not ready when it says it is. Rude staff as well!

Fish served the way you want it - battered, lightly tossed in matza or simply grilled - you choose. Oh, and chips that are perfect - they might look a bit anaemic but don't be fooled, they are wonderfully crisp on the outside & fluffy in the middle.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and for the first time I have been disappointed. The delivery was speedy, inside of 20 mins, but it stopped there. The fish was overcooked and dry in the extreme. The chips were a pale, bland colour and tasted like boiled potatoes. There was no visible oil on them. They looked and tasted like they needed a dip in a deep fryer. Were they perhaps cooked in an air fryer. If this is the way of things these days, sadly I will have to give Sea Pebbles a miss. Not up to your usual standard.

A friend recommended me this fish and chip restaurant and I decided to go their with my family for my birthday and let me tell you it did not fail to impress. The staff were friendly, the food was lovely. If it was local I would have definitely got my fish and chips from here but as we were not local we decided to dine in. Great portions as even my mum and sister were both feeling really full, so much so that my sister had to ask to pack some of the fish to take home. I will definitely be visiting here again anytime in the future.

Order came unsually quick from ubereats and the food arrived stone cold and too oily. They must have given me the last fish sitting there instead of a freshly cooked one Wont be ordering from here again.

Horrible experience . My stomach was upset next day . Oil was oozing out of the fried fish . Didn't expect the grilled fish Cajun to be oily too and chips were soggy . personally I never never recommend this restaurant. Definitely over priced menu for sure .

I paid £8 for the worse scampi I ever eaten.

Food wasn’t very good and not only did they forget to put a peice of cod in the order which we paid for , they then proceeded to be rude down the phone and didn’t resolve the problem, the order came to over £50 and it was not good , will not be ordering again

Have been going here for a while but staff just get ruder. Regardless of how small your order, you are made to wait a long time. The place was empty at 9pm and had to wait 5 mins just to take a takeaway order. Had to reach down just to pick the food.
