Sea Breeze Fish Bar in St. Helens

Some things are nice but never ever get the pork. I've given it about 3 chances and every time it's like tasteless leather. It's obviously been reheated, it really is inedible and must have been cooked days before. Beef is hit and miss. Fish is generally too greasy. Chips are generally nice. Can taste plastic in the gravy from the tub. Curry is nice, so is the rice. Seabreeze, if you read this please sort the meat out so its fresh because at the moment I don't know how you can dignify or justify selling shoe leather as food.

My elderly parents bought a meal from here last week and someone who worked here had accidentally put sugar put on their fish and chips by mistake - needless to say the meal was inedible. My mum phoned and explained and a polite gentleman explained it was probably from when they where preparing the peas as sugar is added which crystallises and could be mistaken for salt. He said no worries and the next time they visited to explain and say they’d spoken to Nick and their next meal would be free of charge. I’m disgusted with the behaviour of a lady who works there who shouted at my elderly father during his next visit (he’s 80 next year) she said no one called Nick works there in fact no men work there, only 3 women, my poor father was very embarrassed. He returned home and my mum phoned and was shouted at down the phone from the same woman who accused her of lying and said she must have confused which chippy they’d visited - they’re elderly, not stupid, their bank statement confirmed it was seabreeze chippy, not a different place. Why would you do this to a lovely elderly couple who where only asking for their meal to be replaced - the woman who worked there shouted down the phone and was nasty - disgusting behaviour and zero customer service - would never recommend or visit this awful place again!!

We have got a take away from here twice now as only just discovered it . It was as absolutely gorgeous both times . Definitely our new “go to “ will be back soon !! Keep up the good work !!! 👍

Meals are nice, chips are warmed up! Quite expensive for what you get. Would still go back, just not get chips as they are hit n miss!

A great place for all the usual Chinese takeaway dishes,personal favourite is the Singapore Vermicelli. A special mention for the chips though,which I can only descibe as proper Chinese Chippy Chips. Always lovely and crisp,not greasy. Great fish too.

Spicy chips are amazing, battered fish was lovely and fresh. Burgers are lovely, fresh bun and salad. Recommend this place 🤗
