We loved it here - the food was fantastic. Super creative, but amazingly delicious. We loved all the vegetarian options too - when we can go somewhere and have a delicious vegetarian dinner and not feel like anything was compromised, it's truly special. Service was great too - everyone was super knowledgeable about the food, friendly, helpful and fun. And the atmosphere has life to it - was really great. Can't wait to go back - this is really changing the stereotype of boring English food!

We visited Scully’s for a pre-theatre dinner, not having been familiar with it, but we did have our expectations. I’m happy to report that all expectations were fulfilled. Everything was perfect, the service, the food and its presentation. Unfortunately we were in a hurry and left wishing we had more time to enjoy the experience.

One of the best dining experiences I've had in quite some time. I have always been somebody who loves to see innovation and imaginative presentation towards food, and the dishes at the Sully left me and my table blown away The service is professional but also relaxed, we where treated as if we where friends being invited round for dinner, rather than us feeling like we are being lectured about each dish and its ingredients, something a lot of restaurants of similar quality sometimes unintentionally do. Plus I'm always a sucker for an open kitchen restaurant. We had the testing menu. Heavenly doesn't seem like a strong enough adjective to describe how astounding everything tasted. I don't usually leave reviews (in fact this one is my first) but after eating here I just had to show my appreciation.

A beautiful vision executed perfectly on a plate. Every bite was a marvel and a mystery unwrapped by your own imagination. Personally, I tasted flavour combinations that sparked my inner child. I was grinning from ear to ear. With all my joy and happiness, I found myself asking this burring question! Why are they feeding me like I am in an orphanage? I know it's fine dining but come on bruh they didn't have to do me like Oliver Twist. Food so good I would have licked the plate. I shall return but next time just add an extra beef cheek or two.

Wow! Chef Ramael Scully breaks through convention to deliver an innovative, flavour explosion that surpassed expectation…and expectations were very high. Dishes of note…the entire menu! My wife and I have visited before, so we had great expectations. This time we were with our youngest son (10), so the dynamic was different. We also wanted him to enjoy the food, so we were apprehensive. We only had to wait for his first taste to know he was going to love the experience. He came away saying he felt spoilt and very lucky to have had the chance to eat in such a great place, and how lovely all of the staff had been. And whilst Chef Scully is wowing us from the pass, his front of house staff are doing the same to make us feel at home. From the moment we were greeted by Sienna, who checked in on us throughout the evening, we felt perfectly relaxed and ready to enjoy a great night. Fernando took our order and was very knowledgeable about the dishes, the ingredients and even the processes followed to achieve these amazing flavours! Obrigado meu amigo! When it came to wine selections and a mocktail for my youngest, it was great to have a chat with Wellington who was not only knowledgeable about the wines, but clearly passionate about them too. He was also keen to get our opinion of a wine we tried…which incidentally was great. Wish I’d got the name. I follow Scully’s on Instagram and get to see his dishes every day. Living in Wales we are too far away to make this a regular visit, but when visiting London on special occasions, we will always look to make a booking at this very special restaurant. Two trips to this incredible restaurant in two days. Two simply spectacular meals! I took my elderly mother on the Thursday night and she was just blown away. The booking experience in advance was incredible, Sienna had gone to the trouble of even speaking to her parents to ask about disabled parking spaces nearby to assist, and from the moment we walked in the door we immediately felt welcome, at home, and as if we were being greeting by friends. An amazing experience. And the food. Wow. Was just blown away. One of the very best meals I have ever eaten. Simply incredible! In fact, it was so good, that I went back the following night with my wife ;-), and if I felt that the first night we were being greeted by friends, the following night it felt like being greeted by family! And the food was just as good…. The whole team were amazing, was fantastic to be able to see the team in action in the kitchen, and great to be able to chat to the main man himself who was incredibly welcoming and charming! We will be back. If you get the chance make sure you check this place out!

Dined here with friends (their choice of venue) on 23/3. First time for us but our friends had dined here previously and strongly recommended. We were lucky to have Ramael Scully in attendance and personally cooking. Dinner is a three course menu with a small variety of options (4 per course) but this suited us perfectly. Both the pre dinner cocktails and the food were excellent. Fantastically creative cooking and all courses were well prepared, well presented and very tasty. A lovely fine dining experience. Restaurant has a great ambience and all the staff were excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

One of the best dinner we had in London, both the food and cocktails were excellent. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The head chef Mr Scully is from Australia so we as Australians enjoyed our conversation with him. Must order the entree with his mum's eggplant recipe.

Came for a night out whilst our friend was in town. Very cool venue with really welcoming and friendly staff. Quick service and an interesting menu. The snacks and starters were excellent, particularly the aubergine and labneh. The food was a little let down by the mains. We had the potato waffle, duck and gurnard. The flavours on the duck and gurnard dishes just seemed to clash too much. The duck came with an almond butter which just seemed too sweet and strong, overpowering even the duck. The gurnard was also overpowered by the black bean. A shame because the duck and the gurnard by themselves were beautifully cooked. I think the recipes could do with revisiting.

it is the best restaurant in London that i know for totally original creative cooking in a great location with charming staff. The restaurant has a delightful ambience and it does seem to have a personality of its own - very different from some of the identikit modern European type restaurants where you can easily spend more.

Wow! Everything I’m looking for in a dining experience, but rarely find. From the moment we walked in the door to be met by the warmest and genuinely friendly welcome, I felt happy to be there. The ambience is perfectly pitched with good mood lighting, good volume levels so that you can hear your fellow diners with ease, and an amazing display of bottles and huge jars of eatables to look at. It’s an intimate restaurant, but the tables are well-spaced enough not to feel crowded. Everybody has a good view of the open kitchen with Chef at work - he is full of bonhomie and keen to please. The staff, like Chef, are engaged and expansive about the food, attentive and efficient, but at no point do they feel intrusive. And then, of course, there is the food. We ate a la carte and, as there were 4 of us, we managed to try many of the dishes, but would like to try the tasting menu another time. This is a rich fusion of cuisines and flavours which reflect the chef’s eclectic background and heritage. So many exceptional ideas - each dish served with panache, creativity and attention to detail. The portions are rather plentiful. Our wine choice was pleasing. Not a foot wrong. Bravo!

Nice place with innovative dishes and a pleasant atmosphere. We tried the tasting menu which had some interesting creations. The Eggplant Sambal, Bergamot Labneh was the surprising winner. However, it can all be a be a bit too creative. Pieces of pork belly, scallops and starfruit placed randomly on a plate was not a good combination, for example.

One of the most innovative and delicious meals I have ever had. Everything about this restaurant is excellent. The service is professional but relaxed and it is clear all the staff enjoy working as part of the Scully team. We all had the tasting menu and were all blown away by the presentation, quality and imagination of every dish of every course. New mind and tastebud blowing combinations, real consideration of textures and stellar presentation made my first (and definitely not my last) experience unforgettable.

Horrible service. Dark haired waiter was very aggressive. He seemed very angry about us being last table and we overheard him complaining about us in very rude manor yet it was one more hour before what stays as closing time on Google page. He also smelled like sweat and cigarettes. This truly made for very uncomfortable experience and not as we expected our friends reunion would go.

Еда посредственная, более того основное блюдо было подгорелое с черными обуглившимися зажарками на стейке и брокколи. Общий вкус рыбы с овощами воспринимался горьким с примесью имбиря и перца. До высокой кухни основным блюдам очень далеко. Кухня открытая, но лучше бы не видеть того, насколько неуклюж и неряшлив персонал, работающий без перчаток. А от того, как повар засунул руки под халат в карманы своей одежды и тут же полез ими в тарелку с десертом, раскладывая украшения, вообще пропал всякий аппетит. Счет за 2 крошечных закуски и 2 основных блюда с одним десертом составил 150 фунтов. Хочется надеяться, что наш отзыв убережет хотя бы кого того от подобной ошибки - забронировать столик в этом месте. Кстати, при бронировании требуют ввести номер кредитки, а при отмене бронирования с карты списывается по 50 фунтов с человека.

Service is super friendly and professional. Food is very creative and delicious with use of local ingredients but flavors of asian-Mediterranean-south american influences. A melting pot of creativity. It has an open kitchen concept which I always enjoy that opens to a modern- elegantly simple restaurant. Definitely in the “will repeat” list.

Chef Scully is awesome…. Return visit this trip… The atmosphere and food were amazing… and the service is out of this world…. The burrata and grilled peaches is insane good…. As is the cod main dish….. And have a glass of orange wine….. Definitely a returning customer again…..

This was more than just a great meal!The staff are enthusiastic and obviously enjoy every minute of their working time at Scully's. We were able to watch the kitchen preparation and all the loving presentation, as well as entertaining and knowledgeable interaction with Mr Scully. It was an entire experience with food so spectacular and unique, that every dish fought with the next to be our favourite. A most pleasurable evening, and we are already trying to organise our next visit!

Wow, what a meal! Scully St James is amazing in every way. The food is absolutely delicious, but it is more than just that. The whole experience of watching and interacting with the chefs makes it a very unique place. My family and I ate there yesterday (2 children aged 10 and 12) - early Saturday evening. We were lucky enough to get a huge table just opposite the kitchen, so we had the perfect view. Everyone, including Scully himself, was extremely welcoming and friendly. We had some snacks to start - of which the mushrooms and the buratta were both stand out. Then for starters most of us had the pork belly, which was absolutely delicious. We tried all the main courses and the onglet was our favourite. And then both deserts we tried - the basil popping candy and the miso caramel strawberry sorbet tart were a delight. Oh and not forgetting the tomato side order - I could have eaten a whole plate of it myself! Plus the staff went out of their way to suggest the best dishes. And they kindly swapped a strawberry kombucha for the Prosecco for our girls. Portions were generous too - so we felt nicely full at the end. It really was a delightful evening. Thanks so much to Scully and the whole team. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to come back for the tasting menu.

I've had BBQ Corn Fed Chicken, Piquillo Pepper, Black Garlic & Sour Fruit Mole. The food quality is beyond words! Can't recommend it enough! Quite possibly the best restaurant in London.

Very pleasant atmosphere and efficient service Food based on Ottolenghi Brussels sprout slaw was to die for but belly pork was disappointing We would go again but have more small dishes rather than a main White wine was not cold enough for my liking
