Very nice place to buy tea, quite hidden from the busy streets. The classics are there, as well as some specialty teas. Just ask the staff, who was very friendly and kind at the time of our visit. The packaging (like a Postcard), and how they arranged them make it a joy to look around and discover the different kinds of teas they have to offer. And of course, the teas taste great. Also bought some for gifting.

This is a special place when you go to london you definitely must go as they do tea ceremonies as well as selling tea from all over Asia with the authentic tea pots cups plates it is really an amazing experience to go in the shop plus I can’t forget the lovely staff. This is a must for every Tea enthusiast.

The ambience of the store was nice. You can find peace upon entering. The man(staff) was informative and he knows how to explain well and accommodate customers. The place was tidy and there were lots of tea choices in there. They also ship the teas if you are from another country.

Quality tea with a wide selection of old world and internationally inspired varieties such as Japanese Sencha. Love the friendly service in-store, definitely worth repeated visits while I’m in London. Oh, and they have cotton bags inside each box so it’s great for traveling.

How cute is this store? A great place for souvenirs, and the shop owner is so kind and helpful. I sent two tea “postcards” to my family in the US and they shipped so fast. A true gem and I will return next time I’m in London.

We’ve been buying tea from here for 10 years now. We live in California and it’s always a special present for any of us. They always write notes with their shipments and have the most diverse and best tea selection. I have been visiting Postcard Teas for a number of years. This gem of a Tea emporium is well located for tea aficionados and the welcome is as warm as the samples you can partake. They have a wonderful selection of teas beautifully and ethically packaged and advice on hand for those whom wish to fine tune their taste buds in pursuit of a cuppa. Apr 2022 I purchased as a gift and my friend enjoyed. I can confirm staff has good knowledge and store is kept organised well. Anyway, their tea leaves come from not only India but Sri Lanka, Japan. As for me, it is attractive that UK where huge tea lovers live is importing leaves for black tea from Japan such as Kumamoto, Shizuoka.

I was very kindly gifted the French Lemon Verbena . A large leafed delightfully refreshing cup of tea. I cannot wait to share it with my own customers.

Lovely store, very nice owner, he told me everything about all the green teas they're selling, it was pretty interesting. I never learned so much about tea before and the concept is really nice, if you're looking for a nice little gift to bring or send home I would definitly recommand - what's better to bring from UK then tea? There's also something in every price range.

Highly recommend the tea tasting sessions on Saturday. A very good tea shop with high quality rare teas and very knowledgeable staff.

Hands down the best tea seller for Japanese varieties, the prices are quite reasonable if taken in count the rarity and quality of the product. The teaware is a bit on the expensive side, but it's all stuff from great potters who are in a way artists.

Finally had the chance to visit this shop yesterday. I passed a few times in the last year but never when it was open so it was a nice surprise to see clients inside. I had a chance to admire their fine teas and I'm looking forward to visit once they will serve tea again. If you are a fan of speciality tea this is the shop for you. Before visiting I was under the false impression that everything will be extremely pricey but the teas were decently priced considering their origin and cultivars. I've only a bought one tea, an interesting 'gyokuresque' but I will go back to explore some more exquisite teas.

Delightful shop. Passionate about Japanese teas. Managed to get high quality soba tea which is a rare find.

The first time I have visited this shop it was in 2012, and I was a faithful customer ever since. I was walking on a small street, looked across the road, and there it was - this amazing little tea shop, I just had to enter. There, I've discovered wonderful varieties of teas, and colourful tea cups and pots. Since that first visit, I have bought many teas from their online shop, as well as some pottery. The quality of the teas is incredible, the pottery is beautifully crafted and unique, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I have often sent e-mails when I've needed help or just some suggestions, and everyone has always been really nice, so I have them to thank for an amazing customer service. When I need to buy teas, this is the store to do it, and when I visit London again, this will definitely be a place to visit (again). Thank you all for your kindness, beautiful products, and delicious high quality tea! :)

This store lived up to the reviews. They had a very thoughtfully put together selection of teas available in a nice cozy atmosphere. The gentlemen working were willing to answer all my questions and clearly enjoy what they do. If you are looking for tea in London this is the place to go.

It is one of my favourite tea shops in London. Very relaxing atmosphere, kind and friendly people, great tea.

Superior customer service to any other tea shop in the city! Incredible selection of classic fare and specialty tea, packaged beautifully, at approachable prices. Quaint retail space with regular tea tastings, I was undecided on a few teas so Tim brewed up a couple and sured my decisions.

Visiting London... being tea drinkers... we had to visit a tea shop. My wife found his one and was motivated to go here vs the big Twinnings shop because of the reported relationships this shop has with the farmers. She was also intrigued by the postcard concept. The shop has several teas that they send as postcards anywhere in the world. A great, small gift for all of those on our list. We enjoyed smelling their teas... and then chose a few to sample... before we made a decision on which ones to buy. While waiting to sample, we enjoyed some coffee table type books on teas. Note - this is not a restaurant. They sell teas. And don't expect to have a proper tea here... complete with scones and the what not. There is no food here. Just tea.

Recently I bought their tea online. I'm afraid their tea has been quite underwhelming. I'm puzzled by these rave reviews.

First of all, they have many kinds teas. I bought English teas, they are especially superior when you almost finish your teapot tea.When tea got thick,strong,you can add milk,and it turned out to be delicious, mild, light, lovely one especially with English milk. Just before the new Bond Bus stop turn the corner Swalovsky right, and turn right again, easily you find.

A very upmarket tea seller. There is a beautiful selection of teas from across Japan, Taiwan and China, and some fantastic teaware. Try a tea for around £3 (although expect to pay a little more for the rarer brews) and take then home for £14 to £20 (20 to 50g, dependent).

Really know their stuff about tea, plus free tastings if you go on to buy the tea.

Did the 1 hour Oolong tea tasting there and found the lecturers to be very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Sampled 6 different types of tea and each had its own characteristics. Quite an interesting experience if you like tea.

Postcard Tea has a variety of rare teas from small plantations across the world that do not use pesticides or artificial fertilisers. This is why the teas that you can taste or buy at Postcard Tea is excellent and tastes like no other. There are rare teas from Korea, India, China, Taiwan etc. and before buying them, you can have a tasting in a relaxed atmosphere. The Tea Room is small but homely. This Tea Room is simply different and much better from all the chain tea rooms in London. The staff is very expert and helpful and friendly and can give you many details about the Teas they sell.

My husband and I attended a tea tasting while on our trip to London and really enjoyed our experience! The owner of the shop gave us a thorough overview of the teas we were tasting along with videos and pictures of how they were prepared by the growers. Tea is clearly the passion of the employees here and it shows in the products the sell and brew. 紅茶だけでなく、烏龍茶や緑茶なども扱っているお茶のお店。 店員さんが少ないため先客がいるとなかなか声をかけてもらえません が、基本的にはとても親切でそれはそれは詳しく説明してくれます（ゆえに自分の番になるまで時間がかかる？） ちょっとこだわりのお茶を選びたいというときには良いでしょう。 店内でお茶を飲むこともできるようです。 行ったときにはイギリス在住のお客さんが緑茶となぜか”どら焼き”を食べていました。 ポストカードのデザインをあしらった小さい箱型の少量のお茶が入ったものにメッセージと宛名を書いて世界中どこでも贈ることができます。以前行ったときは袋型でしたが箱型に変わっていました。 イギリスからヨーロッパ、日本など数か所に送りましたが、距離に関係なく配送料金は均一で、お店から出してもらいましたがすべての場所にちゃんと届いていたようです。

I attended a tea tasting here (held every Saturday for £20) this morning and it was a great experience. It's very informal but very informative! Tim is someone with so much experience and passion for the world of teas and he really makes you feel welcome and relaxed. He knows everything about the tea he sells, down to the names of the people that grow it on their small farms. A great place to go if you are interested in knowing the provenance of the tea you are drinking.

Se siete amanti del buon tea, questo è il posto che fa per voi. L'ambiente è piccolo e raccolto e offre una scelta di tea che provengono da piccole coltivazioni selezionate e di nicchia. C'è la possibiità di sedersi e o bere una buona tazza di tea oppure di fare una sorta di degustazione per poter scegliere il proprio tea in maniera più consapevole. Effettivamente sono molto buoni. Ovviamente anche il prezzo non può essere quello del supermercato.

Para quem gosta de chás este é um bom lugar para comprar. Há uma varia leader enorme de chás e são todos de pequenos produtores orgânicos da Ásia. O atendente foi muito atencioso e esclareceu todas minhas dúvidas sobre os chás. Muito bom!!!

I have visited tea shops all around the world... This is simply the best one. Amazing staff with an incredible knowledge, who selects teas from small estates all around the world. You won't find always the same producers: if quality is not coherent from one year to another, the tea will simply disappear from the stock, to be replaced by a new one. Possibility to taste the teas on site. Highly recommended.

Abbiamo preso qualche tè particolare da portare a casa, sullo scaffale hanno le scatole di latta, ma sul retro tengono anche le buste di ricarica, noi abbiamo preferito quelle, ma poi ci siamo accorti che una busta aveva una scadenza molto prossima (due mesi soltanto) e siamo andati a cambiarla il giorno dopo. Ci hanno detto che il tè in realtá non scade e che tutta la partita di quel tipo di tè aveva la stessa scadenza, ma se proprio volevamo ce lo cambiavano con un altro, allora ne abbiamo scelto uno, ma anche questo scadeva dopo solo 6 mesi, alla fine ne abbiamo preso uno uguale a un altro già preso, che scadeva dopo più di un anno. Forse non hanno molto smercio, ma comunque sarebbe stato più corretto se ci avessero avvertito prima che la scadenza poteva essere così ravvicinata, senza costringerci a tornare a cambiarlo.

Helpful staff and a good experience (although some actual teas to taste would certainly help), however the recipients of the blended teas I chose (some chai) described them as, oddly, lacking in tea with every other ingredient quite overpowering..

Did a tasting of incredible green teas. Spoke with Tim who has been to the small farms and tells wonderful stories about the background to the teas. My husband and I enjoy Earl Gray tea, and lately finding good tea has been difficult. Our disappointment is laid at the feet of many large well known brands. On the recommendation of a friend, I sought out Postcard Teas during a recent visit to London. Postcard Teas has perfected the art of making fine teas, much like vintners who produce fine wine. The shop was delightful with opportunities to taste the tea which I did. Tasting it was much like tasting wine. The wine analogy carried into my tasting and discussion with the salesperson. The flavors were evident and smooth, but not overdone. We discussed the subtleties of the teas based on the regions where the tea is grown and the age of the plants as well as seasonal variations. The tea is obtained from small indigenous farmers where tea is produced in harmony with local cultures and economies. Each 'postcard' on the tea describes where the tea is from and who harvested the tea. The Earl Gray tea was produced with bergamot from Calabria with black tea blended from farmers in Darjeeling and Kerala. The teas are subsequently blended in London.Most importantly, the tea was as good at home as it was in the shop. If you are looking for exquisite work class tea, I highly recommend a visit to Postcard Teas.
