Very nice small coffee shop with an excellent breakfast (served all day). Certainly worth a visit and only 2 minutes walk from the canal.

Good service, great place to sit outside and eat. I had a ploumans which was great. My wife had a homemade quiche, cheese and onion. Was very bland, no seasoning, and couldn't taste any onion. Disappointed.

Basic menu but fairly well done. We. Loved the doggy meals they had so our dog could have meal at same time

I found the staff ignorant as in when you ask a question they ignore you deliberately . . Very expensive, it cost me £13.50 for a BLT a slice of cake and a latte the syrup alone in the latte cost 90 pence plus when she put the syrup in she took the cap off with her back to me and poured in ??? It was too sweet to drink, again deliberately I won't be going back there rude back stabbers hopelessly miserable negative atmosphere...

Lovely, pleasant owner. The breakfast I ordered and pot of tea, was superb. Good quality ingredients. Lovely added touches ie fresh flowers on tables and even cubed sugar including brown sugar. Very clean. I would very much recommend..

As always brilliant service. No matter what you want either just a coffee or an all day breakfast the service is just the same Brilliant. All the staff are very pleasant and friendly. I would recommend Scrummies to anyone. Also this cafe is dog friendly.

New to the area, we decided to take a break from unpacking boxes and have Sunday lunch nearby. It was a great decision, as the Sunday lunch was superb! Kath & Lisa were friendly and worked non-stop to make sure all diners enjoyed the tasty, freshly-cooked food. We've booked again for next Sunday!

Very nice all day breakfast, will definitely be a return visit. Pity there were no regular tables (I ate at a small coffee table) but having said that I would eat it off my knee if I had to. Well worth £9.

Basic cafe food, very noisy when full. Staff very friendly. Cakes looked very nice. Make a good flat white 😋

Update 9.12.23 "Went for another breakfast, still fantastic and so was the coffee. Great to know that the village still has a lovely local cafe." Lovely breakfast and coffee. If you want dairy free milk then they offer this free of charge, I had oat milk in my coffee due to having a dairy intolerance. I had scrambled egg on brown toast and it was lovely. Please visit here and support the local cafe. Will be going back soon for another yummy breakfast and coffee, big thumbs up!!

£8.85 for 3 hot chocolates, then an extra 80p each for cream. So over £10 in total. Daylight robbery.....

When here to get four chapati sandwich to takaway got to the till and the cost £19.20 NOT worth that at todays prices

Sausage & egg ciabatta was quality, pretty sure there was half pound of sausage on .

All-round nice. No carpark but some space on the road right outside.

First visit at the weekend since before Covid and was very impressed. Friendly service, a very nice all day breakfast at a very reasonable price compared to some of the places I've been to in Lincoln and plenty of toast as well to go with it. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely little village cafe. Like going back in time in a good way how things used to be, good old fashioned cooking nice big pot of tea, lovely staff and at a reasonable price. We were on holiday but if this had been in our neck of the woods I would definitely go back...Highly recommended.

Called in on the way home from holiday last Thursday morning and had the full English and the wife had poached eggs on toast.the food was delicious and the service and snacks for our puppy just topped it off.absolutely fabulous

A wonderful afternoon tea provided by Debbie and her excellent and attentive staff. As good as many other places we’ve visited in the area at almost half the price, and better than many. As Arnie would say “we’ll be back” !!

This is a great cafe situated in in the lovely village of saxilby. I had the full English breakfast with my friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The portions were plentiful and nicely cooked. Seem to be plenty of parking outside on the street and outside seating was available if you wanted. My only gripe that warranted 4 stars and not 5 was the fact the sausages could have been a little better. If some good quality pork or Lincolnshire butchers sausages were available even if it meant a slightly greater price it would make this place awesome. Thank you.

Customer service rubbish, hot chocolate served cold, cold water served warm coffee bean machine revolting, a good cafe if you like low standards. Also reply to comment. Thank you for the apology it would have been nice to get one in person when issues were raised instead of poor excuses of why the water was warm it wasn't the first time this had happened and your defensive attitude when issues were raised could pve just been an apology instead. I have worked as a barista and the coffee machine is unacceptable, places of higher standards do not allow this. Whether they are naturally occurring or not that is no excuse not the keep the equipment clean. As for me leaving happy you are mistaken.

A badly delayed start to ordering and only for 2 hot chocolates and a coffee. Approx 15 mins to be served and there was only 1 other table occupied. Young girl spills the coffee all in the saucer (due to wearing wrong kind of footwear), same thing she did last time, no offer of sugar etc. Sad really as we'd been told it used to be pretty decent. Not bad hot chocolate but definitely nothing special.

Polite, friendly, efficient service, fantastic food! If I absolutely had to make a criticism, then maybe some more comfy chairs (or cushions for the existing ones) would be good, as the wooden ones are quite hard on a bony bottom 😊 Great little cafe, based upon my experience today, I would happily recommend you to visit here.

First visit. Good coffee and breakfast with lovely friendly staff but the outside toilet was a bit of a shock as it was a very cold day. A heater in the toilet on cold days would of been good

I use scrummies twice a week at lunchtime.i have always found the food is excellent and reasonably priced .the reason I have rated it as five star is because of the staff .they are always helpful and and accomodatingand always have time for a chat .keep it up

Very nice breakfast options including take away. Specials board usually available as well. Open until 14:00. Parking is local as expected. 30mins outside but other streets aren't always busy.

Staff were lovely, unfortunately the food was not. Tinned mushrooms, powdery microwaved sausages, a real disappointment after our previous visit during the week which was lovely . This is an honest bit of feedback from a local business owner to try to help 👍

Pleasant, reasonably priced café. Staff very nice. Food slightly disappointing. Ordered quiche hoping it would be freshly home made, but it wasn't and microwaving it didn't help. Menu looked promising. It's a nice place but could be a great place with a bit more imagination.
