Visited here this weekend, for the first time. Cute place, with a cycle theme going on. As a vegan, I was excited to see a handful of breakfast / brunch items on the menu. I had the vegan breakfast and my friend had the avocado wrap - both were great. Friendly service and fair pricing. Definitely coming back.

Went for lunch on a Sunday recently. Wish I hadn't bothered as it was a disappointment. Started with having difficulties parking despite having a blue badge. The disabled bay was really difficult to get into and out of as the car park is small and it was full by 12.30. Our group booking given tables in the small and busy bar area. The tables were sticky, and the cutlery mismatched. The menu was way overpriced for the quality of food that was served to our group. The first example is the nachos. The bowl was filled with the broken dregs from the bag of nachos. The chicken burgers lacked chicken. The compressed processed meat did not warrant the cost or title of being a chicken burger. The roast potatoes looked anemic. They may have been slightly roasted, but they were soft and lacked any flavour / seasoning. Nice big garden. Clean toilets.

Chose this because of the location as meeting point with friends today off the M25. So pleased we did. Lovely big pub with so many spaces to sit. We chose outside as the huge garden was sheltered and sunny. Our lovely server( I mean to ask her name) a lady with long red hair was so nice and friendly and helpful. Food was very good. We had starters and mains at lunchtime. Spent 4 hours here. Would definitely recommend. We will return!

I booked in advance for a long overdue catch up with friends. Upon arrival it seemed I had made the right decision as the pub was packed with a busy and vibrant atmosphere and here was when the problems started; very poor service when it came to taking our initial drinks order at 7pm, there were no way enough serving staff for the amount of tables, after a long wait I had to approach the guy behind the bar to take our food order. As our table were chatting I could hear the people on the table behind us complaining to their server which didn’t bode well. Again, a dreadfully long wait for service with our food finally served at just before 9.30pm. My friend ordered the hake which was on the specials menu- when it arrived the smell was dreadful, and it was apparent the fish was off- two of my friends tasted it and immediately rendered it inedible. Upon complaining to the manager my friend was told ‘that’s what fish smells like’. When we got the bill it hadn’t been taken off and we had to ask to get it removed. The ladies toilets were a disgrace, dirty and needed a thorough clean and refurb. Needless to say I won’t be returning - for such a lovely looking pub in a prime area in Bushey, start with the basics of hospitality, cleanliness and food served at a hot temperature. In an area where there are so many other lovely pubs and restaurants, I’ll be taking my custom elsewhere.
