Scott’s All Day in Cambridge

Only about a half of the £17 pizza had any toppings on it... it used to be so much better. And no that's not how Detroit style pizzas are! But that’s how you lose your customers.

So over the Scott’s all day nonsense. Takes an hour and 20 minutes to get a delivery to 80 metres away. Had to call twice and got fobbed off each time. Just tired of Scott’s imaginary time zone.

Came for the pizza. Stayed for the burger. Had a friend over to visit and were looking for a good lunch spot and Scott's immediately came to mind covering all bases. Great food, good location, dog friendly and kids menu. Winner. Had pizza in mind but when we turned up I saw the Oklahoma smashburger on the menu and had to try it, and so glad I did. Very very good. Happy faces all round the table and great to see these guys so busy and so well supported by the local community and beyond. Definitely recommended.

After receiving a 3 course gift voucher for Scots all day. Which costs over £80 to bare in mind. I am disappointed in the service received. Chicken wing starter was way too vingery and had to be sent back. Our main course being 2 pizza's(which tasted nice) arrived only after an hour and 15 minutes. We had the bottomless drink option in which the waiter didn't even know what was part of this offer. He eventually brought 1 round of drinks for him to never return or even check up on us. I had to call a second waiter twice just to have a refill and to have plates removed as we were completely forgotten about. It had now been over 2 hours and yet to be served a dessert. The waiter had finally decided to come and ask what we would like and I said I would like to take the desserts home in which he responded "but they are frozen" I called for the manager in which he sent his hostess colleague instead and said there is no manager available. I complained to the hostess and she was very apologetic and told me she will speak to her manager after been told there is no manager. She went back and forth to her manager who was literally 2 metres away from us. After all the back and forth I asked why can't the manager come and speak to me himself directly? All I got was "I don't know" eventually she said that the meal will be refunded and took a photo of the gift voucher. It saddens me that it has now been 2 weeks and no refund has been given. I understand it was busy that night but a little bit of communication could of solved all of this instead we got a disappointing experience, with a waiter who is incompetent and a manger who can't even say sorry. Very poor.

Went here for brekkie on Sunday - and for coffee for the first time a few weeks ago - and I have to say it was great. I had a fried vegan breakfast which was good on the whole but the coffee was wonderful. Good, friendly staff and became very busy but they seemed to manage it well. They didn't kick us off our table though we were a bit over time. Would deffo recommend. And there's seating outside too - which some people took advantage of as it was a lovely day.

Nice restaurant with a good menu selection, definitely something for everyone. The staff was really nice and friendly. But the service was a bit weird. (Starters arriving before drinks). The atmosphere was nice and fitting.

We booked a table online which said 9pm to 10:55pm. We arrived 18 minutes late and was told the kitchen had closed (our fault fair enough). After much back and forth they agreed to do a reduced menu for us which didn’t let us take advantage of the 50% off pizza deal we came for. Then we were rushed to leave at 10:10. If you cannot accommodate a booking until 10:55, don’t say 10:55 on the website booking. It was thoroughly disappointing that we were given attitude when we arrived, paid more than expected, and was rushed to leave 45 minutes before the end of our booking.

What a lovely breakfast! Big thank you to Christian for dealing with all of my food intolerances, was made to feel welcome and not an inconvenience at all. Will be back!

We have been here a few times and had mixed experiences and always want to like and support it, but in the end it's not good. We waited 35 minutes for lunch (2 portions of smashed peas on toast) the other day and the restaurant was half full and several people already had their food. The food was distinctly sub standard and when we complained about the experience at the end, the person clearly didn't care even remotely. To be honest this is pretty indicative of their attitude; my friends were made to wait outside the restaurant in the freezing cold for their table the other day when there was no one queuing inside and there was plenty of space. Sadly I can't recommend you go here.

Good pizzas. Only one option for draught (beer), which is not great. The friendly waitresses are slammed, as they are only 2 to attend 70 customers at at a time, so be ready to wait +15min only to be served.

After hearing mixed reviews, we decided to check out Scott’s. It transpires that they’re specialists in rudeness, turning away my partner and I twenty minutes before our reservation because they couldn’t accommodate drinks in advance. Despite there being tables enjoying drinks - as well as staff on hand to provide them - we were told “we can’t serve you drinks as we’re cleaning”. If you enjoy pretentiousness, you might enjoy this place, but I’d personally recommend the Empress if you enjoy decent pizza and outstanding service.

First time trying a Detroit pizza and i’m still raving about it hours on. That was a seriously good dinner. Many thanks to our server Hope and many compliments to the chef we will definitely be back for more!!!

Edit 1: Good coffee and food and friendly service. I would like to try their weekend brunch too. Edit 2: Weekend brunch options are very good and I really loved their avocado toast with poached eggs and rockets. Very decent portion as well.

The food was decent although rather pricey considering portion size, service was okay but hard to get staff attention and didn’t ask how the food was. Overall decent but been to better places on mill road.

Never again. Food is good, but staff, including the manager, make your experience the worst ever. Asking for a large latte I was answered “if you want a large coffee go to Costa” (then I learned this was the manager). They have a 1.5 hour stay policy, which is understandable, but the approach from the waitress was absolutely terrible. After having our breakfast and still enjoying our second round of coffee they come to tell us if we’re ready for the bill as we need to leave. They don’t even allow you time to figure out how to split the bill, they start cleaning the table without even allowing you to finish what you still have. Absolutely ridiculous place

Had my breakfast on the last day of my Cambridge trip. A cozy place packed with locals, and it is understandable because their breakfast is so good! Tried vegetarian fry which is definitely recommended 💯 but also, service fee (2 💷) strikes again so beware😁

Great atmosphere, and there’s a real bustle here. The host was very courteous and fit us in! The service takes around 15-20 mins on a busy day, but if you’re sat in a good spot, you can watch your food being prepared. There’s a real efficiency in the kitchen. The food was solid, nothing too crazy - the bog standard brekkie. The pricing is steep though imo, but otherwise, it’s a solid place to get breakfast if you’re visiting cambridge. If you’re a regular though, I’d say it’s worth visiting once

I had a great brunch this weekend, I really liked the vegetarian mix. However, the service wasn't good at all, the staff was borderline rude ally he time. Yet, I got charged 10% of service charge directly to my bill!

The service was incredible! I reserved a table for my boyfriend’s birthday and they did the most !!! Gave him a cake with ice cream and a candle. Did not expect that at all ! Thank you once again Scott’s team. Highly recommend

Not really one for brunches but really loved everything about this place...it gives a classic brunch spot ambience.

We stopped by for weekend brunch on the way to the train station. The pancakes were amazingly fluffy and delicious. And the portions are really generous, especially the Lumberjack. Brunch was so good that we immediately booked to have dinner another day! There was an issue with the booking but the owner got in touch and arranged for a discount. For dinner, we had the lasagne fritto - a crispy slice of lasagne in a rich tomato sauce. For mains, we had the Detroit style pizzas - the light, fluffy base was paired with crispy edges, like the fanciest, most decadent cheese on toast you can imagine. All the staff are super friendly and helpful - we will definitely be back soon!

Excellent enjoyable brunch. The service was a little slow, but everyone was working hard and they apologized for the slowness, it didn't spoil our enjoyment.

Amazing time. Hope was an excellent waitress, made us feel so, so welcome. Excellent service. Food arrived in less than 10 minutes. Their Pizzas are sour dough, and DEFINITELY worth the money. Family friendly place. The dessert was perfect and not overwhelming. Thanks so much to Hope and the team!

Not recommended. Service was friendly but food is not at all special for the price. The pizza I was told "you can't go wrong" on ordering tasted odd, not right. The meatballs in the starter were cold. The waitress did offer a discount. When the bill arrived the discount was 62p. I was not offered the option to remove the "discretionary" service charge, which alone was £3.55. I would avoid Scotts All Day if ever in Mill Road.

Been a few times and every time I have been, it has been faultless. Whether they are busy or quiet, service is great, staff have been happy and efficient. And at times entertaining. Food is amazing! And for such tasty food and resteraunt being based in the centre of Cambridge, quote fairly priced too 😀 highly recommend.

We booked a table at Scott’s All Day for a birthday celebration. There was 7 of us for bottomless brunch. Food was amazing the drinks kept flowing. The staff were very attentive. Will definitely be returning. Thank you, we had a lovely morning.

My daughter is gluten-sensitive and type 1 diabetic, and we found divine pizza for her here. The staff was perfect, they even checked the carbohydrate content of the pizza base.And the children's chocolate shake is something fantastic. My partner and I also ordered.

Food was superb, however we waited close to 30 mins for drinks, but then felt a little hurried once we'd finished eating.

Such a lovely experience this morning with great understanding of our request for a table in the calmer back room which is better for my adult ASD daughter. No problems in reserving on the morning and when we turned up, they had even turned the music down in the area without us asking. Such a real understanding of her needs 💜 Food was sooooo good as well (we had the full breakfasts and the ham and mozzarella sandwich with Baked cheese cake. Yum yum 😋 yum). Very busy, very pleasant place. Service was great. Staff were nice friendly people. Our party ordered stonkers and vegetarian options. The eggs were delicious golden yolks but we could taste the vinegar, presumably from the water they were cooked in. None of us liked the sausage patties/rissole. The streaky bacon was so crispy it was difficult to pick up with a fork. The breakfast items were placed on top of a single slice of sourdough toast which came with one little patty of butter. The food was nice enough but definitely over priced.

We had an impromptu visit to Scott’s and plumped for the bottomless dinner. We were not disappointed. The service was brilliant, not once did we find ourselves with empty glasses, we went with the bottled beer option. And we could not squeeze another drop in. To top it all off the food was delicious. Wings and hallumi fries to start - AMAZING, sour dough pizzas, margarita and pepperoni - it knocked spots off any pizzas we’ve had for a long time and 2 lovely deserts, ice cream sundae and brownie. The place had a great atmosphere and catered for young and old alike. I would highly recommend the bottomless dinner to anyone wanting a couple of hours of pizza indulgence.

The dough was OK, but I did not feel my experience was good value for money. As Italian, I do not expect to have the same quality here, but if you sell a pizza with truffle oil and ricotta, make sure to add the right amount of oil as there was no smell or taste of the truffle! The ricotta did not feel and looked like ricotta, but Philadenphia spread cheese. Please advise the deliveroo drivers to hold the pizzas properly. As the guys carrier the bag in the shoulder, the pizzas flipped and arrived smashed.

Friends and I attended 'Scott's All Day' for a bottomless brunch at the weekend. We had an incredible time. The food, drinks, service, and quality were all top notch. Nothing was too much trouble for the servers and our drinks were consistently topped up making us feel like we were being well-attended to and that we were getting good value for money. The restaurant has a lovely aesthetic where you can even catch a glimpse of the food being cooked in the kitchen. Seats and booths are comfortable and there is even a private room at the back which is great to keep in mind for future parties and events for larger groups. The menu is extensive and the chefs can be accommodating for dietary requirements - we had a gluten free guest, a veggie, and a vegan and they all felt that they had ample choice and help with navigating allergens/preferences on the menu. We also loved that this is a small family run business - you can tell that they really care about your dining experience and that you are a valued customer.

Tom is a manager/supervisor there and I am truly disappointed in his lack of social skills when communicating and essentially being impatient and no help. Customers first? I don’t think he delivers that properly. And it saddens me to give a 1 star based on how he represented this company today. I truly hope when I called that he gave me the correct email too so I can go more into detail from what I experienced today. We were even told that we could sit at the bar area by another worker as I ordered my take away… & Tom just looked so confused when I asked if we could since I was told that I could… And he still said “no..” Even my take away dessert wasn’t fresh. The vegan brownie, I don’t recommend. : / Thanks Tom for ruining my afternoon. I’m glad the company Thrive has better, more mature customer service.

Food was good but quite overpriced. It used to have a signature breakfast dish which wasn't just pancake & fry-up but think they've got rid of that. Good atmosphere but personally I wouldn't say it's good value for money.

The food is always yummy here! Eaten in once and the atmosphere was lovely, staff were welcoming and kind. Now I usually grab a takeaway and the food is always amazing! Gluten free pizzas are also amazing, highly recommend.

Asked us to wait outside their empty restaurant. Caesar salad was awful. Take care not to order deep dish pizza if what you want is pizza napoletana.

I had the full lumberjack breakfast and chai tea latte. Food was really good and I liked the replacement of bread with pancakes. Chai latte a bit too milky which drowns out the chai flavour.

Tonight was my second time dinner at the place and it was beyond disappointing. I did enjoy the first visit and so was excited to be back. Tonight: Probably the worst GF pizza dough I’ve ever tried and even worst customer service. The waiter did not know anything and was just generally unbothered. It was surely my last visit at Scots :(

Food good! Service awful! So we booked a table for 11:00 and by 11:15 we are being asked “how long our friends will be” as they need the table which is fine. Then as our food is being handed to us, we are told we need to finish eating by 12:15 or move to another table so we can stay until 12:30. We moved tables, but the staff didn’t even factor in our friends had a 12 month of baby to deal with. Service charge was added and was just as quickly removed! They were lucky to get the full money if I had my way

Book for your kid!! Booked for 2 for Sunday brunch, when arrived with our 8months old daughter and our dog were told that our allocated table wouldn’t have enough space. After a hesitant start we were offered a table on the side. Service was swift and welcoming and the lumberjack breakfast sublime. I’m glad they managed to accommodate us, we even got a high chair just before the food arrived. Definitely recommend

Delicious food! The pizzas are my personal favorite but you can't go wrong with their brunch either. They're also dog friendly which is a huge plus for me and I greatly appreciate it!

We didn't actually get to eat here sadly as we accidentally hadn't confirmed our booking. However the front of house staff were exceptionally rude to us on arrival and told us we had to book seats for our small babies anyway and they didn't have room. The place was very busy so I understand the stress the staff must be under but to insist we need to book a seat at a table for a 4 month old baby is rather frustrating. The attitude was really upsetting and I felt really tearful after being spoken to so aggressively and spoken over multiple times by the gentleman at the front. We ended up going around the corner to hot numbers and they were so lovely.

Whilst the food and atmosphere is generally good, I found the service to be quite poor. I turned up originally as a walk in, asked for a table for 4 and was told it would be 40 mins wait for a table at least - not a problem. However, when I then couldn’t find a table around the corner in hot numbers I decided to check whether I could reserve a table at Scotts for a bit later to ensure we had somewhere to go. I was incredibly annoyed to find I could reserve a table in 10 minutes time (we had been turned away about 5 minutes before). When we arrived we were seated immediately. This is a terrible system and it made me believe I had just been lied to about waiting time. On top of that, we waited over 40 minutes for our food and did not receive any kind of apology or recognition by the staff for the length of wait.

We used to love it here as our regular brunch place, but for the last 3 visits it has really gone downhill. Today was the worst experience so far. Over recent visits, the service has become simultaneously harrying and slow. They try and turn the tables as fast as possible, so pester you to order super fast. But once you've ordered, the wait for food can be unreasonably long. Today, we were a walk in due to Hot Numbers being full. Therefore, we had to wait about 15 mins for the rest of our party to catch up with us as we were slightly early for our 10.30 meet time. We were seated on their last table. We ordered as soon as the other two arrived. The food took over 40 minutes from this time to arrive to our table, during which time we had to ask twice how long it was going to be because we had a cinema booking to get to. The manager (I think) was quite rude to us, essentially telling us it was our fault the food was taking so long - apparently somehow, because we ordered 15 mins after we arrived this meant it took nearly 45 mins for our food to be made. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, if they can't handle walk ins because it'll put the schedule off then they shouldn't accept them. It wasn't like they had asked us to order food earlier either...not sure how it's our fault that it was so busy and the kitchen was over stretched. If we knew it was going to be such an issue, we'd have called the others to ask for their order. The others liked their lumberjack breakfasts but my usual go to, Pescetarian, had a new BBQ type sauce which was a bit gross and I couldn't finish the meal. At least they had the decency to remove the service charge from the bill. Tl;dr unpleasant atmosphere, rude manager, gross sauce.

Stopped here for a quick bite with friends after a cycle from Downham Market. Perfect before my train journey home. Friendly and welcoming, lovely fresh veggie pizza.

Shared a pizza on our way to a gig. They split the topping as my wife likes pineapple on hers. Think she does it to provoke me... It was excellent, as was the Malbec she had. Service was attentive without being intrusive, just right. Wish we could have stayed longer and explored the menu in more detail. Highly recommend.

Hands down...The best pizza I've ever had. Genuinely. Absolutely 100% My fiancée and I came to Scott's for Valentine's day (2nd time we'd been). Scott's is located along Mill Road - a lively area. Windows face onto Mill road so there'll be a lot of opportunity to people watch. The interior of Scott's has an almost cafe like interior which works well in the evening. It's a busy restaurant floor with the serving hatch of the kitchen in sight and was playing some soul/motown favourites which was definitely my bag. I started with deep fried lasagne bites. Good size, very crispy but not overcooked. Delicious. Great presentation. Next....the main. A pepperoni and honey Detroit style pizza. Words will not allow me to fully explain just how epic this pizza was. As soon as I took a bite, I instantly regretted all of the previous pizzas I'd consumed. So full of flavour, wholesome, incredible flavour, crispy all the way around. I beg you, please try one of these. I was full by the 2nd slice so had it boxed up and enjoyed it again the next day. Finally, desert. Soft Cookie dough and vanilla ice cream. I'm not normally a desert person but this rounded off the meal nicely. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Great to see. Great service, insane food, lively location. I cannot speak more highly of Scott's. This is not a paid ad!

Really lovely restaurant doing fabulous food and drink throughout the day. Excellent food and service. Friendly staff. Laid back atmosphere and nicely decorated too. I was pretty excited to learn about this place but honestly found the food mostly pretty underwhelming, as did the rest of my party. The pancakes were excellent, but the pizzas weren’t particularly good and the forester was pretty mediocre. Ambiance and service were good. Prices seemed a little expensive for what was offered.

Good food, vegetarian and vegan option

My first brunch club experience, so I visited here with a large group of people, all paying separate. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, very patient and friendly. I ordered salmon and eggs on toast with pesto ( the pesto was mouth-watering), and friends ordered pancakes, full English, and avacodo on toast. All dishes were well presented and tasted incredible. The food is to a high standard. The prices do reflect, but I think they are fair for the location. You only have the table for an hour and a half as they are always fullbooked, and it's hard to get a table (walk in - on the weekend), so I'd advise you to book a table. The only fault on this place was I had a grubby T-cup, and that's not the end of the world. Would love to return and try the pizza, I have heard great things.
