I’ve been here quite several time and never failed. delicious food and reasonable price. also great place to drink privately!

Moved to this beautiful neighborhood last year and this has been my local restaurant ever since. Their food is always awesome and authentic! I normally have the table BBQ, and last Friday the very friendly lady there recommended the spicy pork Bibimbap lunch deal which was absolutely fantastic... good value for money too! And we also had the spicy Yangnyeom chicken which is just as yummy as always! The place is quite comfy and the service is excellent... well done, I'll give it a 6 ⭐!

Best Korean restaurant I’ve been to. The flavours here are better than anywhere else we’ve been in New Malden and London.

The bibimbap is really good and one of the best I ate. The fried chicken is also excellent. The seafood pancake could be crispier.

It's a new store and the interior is very clean. There is a partition between the seats next to you, so it feels like a private room and you can feel calm. The food is authentic Korean cuisine and the quality is quite high. Not only did the bibimbap taste great, but it was wonderful that the bowl was warm until the end of the meal. This is authentic Korean food you can trust as opposed to other fake Korean food in the UK

I had a disappointing experience at this Korean restaurant. First, the kimchi fried rice had a strange taste and was way too spicy; I couldn't tell if the kimchi had gone bad. Second, the Japchae was completely flavorless, and the noodles were stuck together in clumps. Lastly, the Korean Jajangmyeon was also not good; there were hardly any onions, and I couldn't even tell if there was a piece of meat in it. Overall, the food was really hard to eat and lacked any flavor.

Our group of three ordered Korean beef, chicken bibimbap, and beef soup rice. When the rice arrived, we found it overcooked and lacking texture. Additionally, there was very little beef and chicken in the bibimbap, and the broth of the beef soup was quite salty and tasted of MSG. The value for money was very low, especially with the added service charge, making it feel even less worthwhile.

It was friendly, delicious, and everything was great, but I couldn't get through to the phone. I said I would go again for lunch and dinner. I want to make a reservation, but I can't connect. When I was on a business trip, it was related to the area code. I came to the walk-in, ate, and checked the number again. We had dinner and lunch again the next day. :)

Didn't think I was that hungry till I stepped in.. wow the food was wonderful

‘Sharing’ portion was barely enough for 1 person let alone too. The container was only a third full too so was plenty of room to get more in so was ver disappointed by cost and portion size. However the taste was excellent

They have a new Menue, but the old favorites are still good. Seafood pancake is the best!

I called in yesterday for some wholesome Korean goodness! Very welcoming, quite delicious and will definitely be back to try a few more things!!

Highly recommend the fried chicken

We went there once and the portion is good but the second time we went there, the portion of each dishes has shrink very noticeably. The waitress is very impatient as if she was forced to work that day. The day after the meal (dinner), our whole family of 4 went to the toilet and had a bad poo. Even my daughter who has constipation also have almost watery poo the next day. Will never go again.

Good food, quick service and reasonably priced

I wouldn't recommend it, unfortunately. The food is mediocre if not worse. We asked if one of the soups was spicy as it was for a child who doesn't like spicy. A waitress assured us it wouldn't be spicy. Nevertheless the soup was too spicy even for me! Despite the fact that I like spicy food usually. We paid £50+ for 3 soups that none of us liked and the service that wasn't good either (a waitress wiped our table with a wet cloth leaving the surface wet and sticky).

We had a tofu bibimbap delivered rather than a chicken bibimbap. Food was nice and still hot when delivered.

Footsteps on the floor in the afternoon were minor. The tables were sticky and not clearly cleaned. They tended not to clean the tables even though there were only 2-3 tables occupied. Witnessed a waitress who picked up a cutlery back on the table. They don't seem to deserve to put a 10% service charge by default.

We used to order from here regularly because of their popcorn chicken, but the quality today have gone downhill. More chicken nuggets than Korean chicken. Very disappointing

The spy fried chicken isn't great and requires a bit of spicy sauce. The spicy yangnyeom chicken isn't that spicy (at all).

I ate at this restaurant today. I was surprised by the nice and calm atmosphere, the food was so delicious, the price was just right , and friendly service. The lady was very busy but kind to everyone. Amazing experience. I will visit here again.

We stopped by for lunch during our visit to New Malden. We chose this establishment because of its high rating, and it did not disappoint. Our group was ranging in levels of hunger. The restaurant had dish sizes to cater to all of us. I had the chicken donburi. I was very happy with both the dishes' size and flavor.

I spent good time there. I ate high level food,but everything is good price.especially I love all of them we'll abusolutely come back soon.

Our stomachs were replenished after coming here as they serve good hearty Korean food in the centre of New Malden. I ordered the ugeoji galbitang stew with beef short ribs. It was a very hearty stew and very strong in flavours with the kick of the soybean paste kicking through. We ordered the half size sweet and spicy chicken which was glazed wonderfully and not too spicy and was a good portion for 2 people. The only downside was the cheese ball. Not a fan of the sweet dough and we thought it would be melted and stringy. Good quality food with great service.

Nice little Korean restaurant in New Malden, perfect for a quick drop in for good food with a friend. The service is great, efficient. The price for all things on the menu allow you to order freely. Most importantly the food is delicious! Highly recommend any of the fried chicken selections.

we’ve ordered the beef rib soup and seafood pancake. there’re only three tiny the beef rib with a bone. the seafood pancake only had a few pieces of seafood. we’re not full at all! really disappointed! ;(

The service is terrible at this place. We asked for an extra glass for our drinks and after waiting and asking for it twice we had to get up and find it ourselves! The waiting staff could not cope with just 4 tables. We also asked for an extra fried egg with our order and the waitress said this was not possible as there is no option to add this to the till. That is ridiculous. A restaurant can’t add an extra egg to an order for additional charge? Considering most other dishes have a fried egg included? Poor service but the food was decent.

Chose this place at random, really good. Excellent bibimbap, nice pickles, good sauce, very good portion size. Polite, pleasant calm and efficient service. Overall highly recommended.

Very fast delivery. Food was okay, we ordered jjajangmyun and the noodle texture was quite mushy, not very authentic. The sauce also did not contain any pork.

Dreadful place. Abysmal. We came here as we wanted to try a different restaurant in New Malden instead of going to our usual restaurant across the road, Imone. Big mistake. This place literally looks like a cafe. It wasn’t busy but there were 3 tables that weren’t occupied and had dirty plates on it. The wait staff which consisted of two people couldn’t seem to cope. It took a while to be seated and for them to clean the table. I ordered 5 dishes and my order was taken electronically. I asked for water, only to be told to go to the back of the cafe and get my own cups and get water from the dispenser. Some cups were dirty. I also got my own cutlery and napkins from that area. Very strange. After around 15 minutes my 4 dishes arrived. We started eating….but….Where was my 5th dish. I got up to find the waitress asking where my bibimbap was. She said “you want me to add to this order?” I said no, I ordered it already. Then I sat back down. The other waitress came to find me and I said we were still waiting. Finally, the waitress said the bibimbap will be here in 15 minutes. Gosh. The fried chicken was not good. No seasoning. We asked the waitress why this was the case. She said it’s fried chicken, missing the point. I said even KFC is seasoned. The seafood pancake tasted overwhelmingly of flour and wasn’t crispy. The japchae had glass noodles which were clumped together. Some basics basic errors. In the end, we complained as I felt one of the waitress was rude and the food was appalling. I felt the service was lacking in that I got everything myself (so where was the hygiene?) and I had to go get the waitresses. We asked if the chef was Korean as we couldn’t comprehend why the food was so bad. Apparently the chef is Korean and maybe has no taste buds. Also all Korean restaurants give you lots of side dishes before you get your order eg kimchi, potatoes etc but here it was not the case. Where are the side dishes? I have never complained in a restaurant so I was a bit concerned at their reaction but they dealt with my complaint very professionally and I finally got the bill. Hopefully, they will take my complaint as constructive criticism and improve.

Can't comment on the food as we didn't end up staying long enough. Waiter took our order 10 minutes later a different member of staff came and said there'd be 30-40 minutes to wait for the food. We said we'd wait, but would like the tea we'd ordered. Waitress came back with the wrong tea, and it was stone cold. Seemed like she'd just picked it up from another table.

Delicious chicken, highly recommended!

Recently tried this place with some friends and we were very happy. The food is reasonably priced and tasty. Tried Bibimbap for the first time and really enjoyed it. The Tempura Prawns were also amazing! Will definitely have again. Staff were also friendly.

Absolutely 100/10 place that needs more recognition. I love coming here for a hearty meal with a calm atmosphere and music playing in the background. All of the staff are nothing but welcoming and helpful which makes it easier to relax and enjoy the food. The chefs do an amazing job at executing authentic korean cuisine. Safe to say I have dined here a lot and I love it every time!! One of my favourite local restaurants 😊

Highly enjoyed dinner here - we ordered too much food but I would recommend the tteokbokki, the kimchi pancake, jajangmeon and of course the fried chicken. Staff were really accommodating and friendly, and we had a great time.

This place is a gem if you are into korean fried chicken. Collect 10 cards and you'll get a free serving of chicken. They removed the spicy original fried chicken though, wish it will come back. Great for delivery, prefer that than dining in their restaurant because it is hard to find parking on the high street.

The food was inauthentic and not good. I had to spit out the food more than once. I did not receive a copy of my receipt confirming my payment, even after asking. Would not recommend as there are better restaurants on the same street.

The food portions (non-main dishes) are on the small side, the bibimbap is hot enough, and it doesn’t use a stone pot, which is a bit disappointing

Amazed this place has a 4.5 star average rating. Very, very underwhelming. The Beef Bibimbap had miniscule quantities of beef in it. Didn't feel like an authentic Korean in any shape or form.

when we came we had the yangnyeom chicken and beef bulgogi with egg fried rice. It was so good! Rice was fluffy and fragrant, ad beef was tender. Chicken was crispy and very spicy, but still tasted amazing. I am coming again!

Really chill place to grab a bite to eat; ordered kimchi jeon and green onion jeon and comfortably ate together with my friend. The waitress was friendly and let us take our time. It was very welcoming and the jeon was tasty. Perfect.

The concept of digital menu is let down by poor and slow service. A customer shouldn’t have to chase the waiting staff for things. Had to ask for our drinks to be brought to the table which given it was a few beers really shouldn’t have taken long. Same story with the food which seemed to take a long time to arrive. Only one person serving is likely the reason for the poor service here . The rice bowls were not well seasoned and quite tasteless. When we requested soy we were told they didn’t have any. Quite odd for a Korean restaurant. Korean chicken was great and soup also nice!

Incredibly delicious Korean fried chicken! The chicken is nicely fried, juicy and flavourful. The kimchi seafood pancake was also very tasty - the sweetness of the seafood was balanced well with the acidity of the kimchi! This is definitely a place to satisfy you fried chicken cravings!

Came on a busy Sunday afternoon. There were only two persons serving at the front of house and they did a pretty good job attending to all the tables. Food is ok, I would give it a 3/5. The chap jae, however, has a mind blowing springiness to it! (Well done!)

First time I've had a kimchi both me and my wife liked. And the chicken was excellent.

This restaurant is one that I go to regularly. The food options are great and the service is nice too. I normally order half and half chicken, and it's constantly delicious. They're not dog friendly, though, and they also stopped honey garlic chicken, so 4 stars for that

If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing spot to dine at with your family or friends (or even alone!) this place is it! The staff were so kind and helpful, whereas the wait time for our food wasn’t long at all. The fried chicken was the most memorable bit of the trip and the sides were delish! Chicken bibimbap is really cold , or just called “ warm “. Not really good with this price. The floor is too greasy

Everything is good and delicious. We would like to order jjajangmyeon but didn’t notice that we ordered the rice. But same sauce so still tasted good, a little bit salty (too much sauce maybe). Soy fried chicken is tasty but I personally prefer it with more sauce. A good place for Korea food.

Limited menu compared to some of the other Korean BBQs. Little customer service as you order via app. Meat was well marinated and tasted good. Restaurant requires updating and air con was on way too high (you needed a jacket to eat in). Not the best Korean bbq out of the options. But the food is still good

We have been ordering from here for the last 3 years! Usually we love their fried chicken, but for the last year or so the batter has changed! It’s not as crispy as Korean FC, but the taste and texture is more similar to Kentucky FC which is not what we’re after when we come to new Malden. The restaurant is nice and clean, and the range of sides is good. We love the kimchi and the seaweed salad. They also serve rice, which chick and beers do not - we love rice with KFC. The restaurant has brought in a QR ordering system which we personally find annoying, and you lose some of the human touch of customer service (although a service charge is still added to your bill). We did speak with the staff who were lovely and helpful however :)

One of my favourite restaurants in this area. Really good food, decent prices, and I like ordering via the app as it’s easy and more convenient. Received particularly good service yesterday and was given water before even having to ask which was appreciated.

Food was just OK. We ordered the Bulgogi, Kimchi Pancake, Spicy Yangnyeom Chicken and Kimchi Pancake. The chicken was quite tough and the sauce was very sweet and not spicy. The bulgogi was ok, but the meat was a bit chewy - we’ve had nicer bulgogi a few shops down at Kum Kang in Seoul Plaza. The kimchi fried rice was only OK, but the pancake was nice. I also don’t think 10% service should be included on the bill considering the fact that they don’t take your order (you order via a QR code) and no one comes to check in while you’re eating to see if your food is OK. In hindsight we should’ve asked for it to have been removed! Overall it was a mediocre experience and there are definitely better Korean restaurants in New Malden in my opinion.

Went to this place because Imone on the other side of the street was packed. Great decision! SCJ offer great value for money and the food is just delicious. The only thing I do not really like is the digital menu thing, but the food and price made up for it.

Not the best Korean in New Malden, but very good still. I think this restaurant was open until later than the others. One thing that deeply annoyed me was the ordering system, done through QR code scan and online ordering. I personally hate when this is done, it is sloppy and really degrades customer service. Good food, generally.
