Sawley Catch in Erewash

Fantastic place. Fresh as can be and taste amazing. Fantastic prices for fish and kebabs. Only downside is they don't deliver and no menu online.

Been using this chip shop of and on for a few years, But today had chips fish and sausage, we had to throw most of the chip away as they where rock hard, the fish was supposed to be large cod but was an over battered haddock. The peas and curry was ok though. Won’t be going back there again for a while though!

Been to this place a million times and it normally amazing but today we had some absolutely atrocious kebab it was stone cold even though it came out of the warmers I live 2 minutes away so their was no way it cold on the way home. If it was anything else I probably would have heated it up but didn’t dare. £15 straight in the bin!

We had a great chippy here. All the the food was freshly made so was hit when we got home. It was all tasty. One thing to bare in mind is that is it cash only. We would definitely return.

We are a regular customer at Sawley catch for many years and number of owners. The standard overall very good. Regetfully we fell fowl of the general chip shop practice of going soon after evening opening. We were served with Luke warm chips & chicken. Clearly kept from lunch time. DISGUSTING!! My wife took them back and reclaimed the cost, begudgingly by the owner & told never to come back! (Rest assured we won't!!!) If the business is so strapped to serve up sad lunch time chicken/chips barely warm then AVOID!!! The place Recycles food.

Try to keep my Fish and Chips intake to a minimum, so getting the right one is critical Never had a bad takeaway "Ever"

This place is fault less.. GREAT attitude from the staff & GREAT meals what more can you say. This is OUR local 1000 % +++++ Just say that Tony with a Pony tail sent you. You won't be sorry... There is even a car park next door & spaces for Disabled

They have the best kebab meat in Long Eaton, we always go here for dinner if we're in need, remember, cash only

Good quality food but boy was it expensive £8.20 for fish n chips on a tray felt totally ripped off Believe me im not on the breadline by any means but at that price we wont be visiting again !!!!

Really tasty fish and chips and kebabs. Good sized portions and friendly staff. Recommend if in the area.

Refried chips. Beware! Hit and miss. With the emphasis on miss. Went here on Saturday lunchtime. Staff not wearing face masks. The fish (haddock) was cooked to order so was nice and fresh and very tasty. Mushy peas very good also. The chips were reheated ones, presumably from Friday night. This supposed money saving exercise works the opposite way. Chip shops lose customers doing this. Chips were chewy and greasy. Customers aren’t stupid; they know when they are given reheated chips. I won’t be going again.

We haven't been to this chip shop in years. Yesterday we decided to go to the sawley catch to pick up a take away lunch. The shop was clean tidy and did not have a greasy smell. The 2 men serving were polite and chatty and very pleasant. The food wasn't greasy,the portions were huge ( good value for money ),and it was nicely done and red hot!!. Will definitely not leave it so long before going back.

What can I say apart from big portions great prices very friendly and welcoming staff very clean and tidy we will use again and again five stars

This has got to be the best chip shop in Sawley. The service is always great, staff chat with you and seem genuinely interested in having a conversation. They are always so appreciative of the custom, that alone makes me want to go back! The food is not the cheapest however, i am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and Sawley Catch certainly lives up to this. Whenever i visit fish and chips are always cooked fresh and not too oily. Portion sizes are just right to feel full but not overly sluggish and the pea's.. well! My favourite mushy pea's for miles! Keep up the great work Sawley Catch!

Food quality is good,fish decent size and not too much batter, prices are good Very friendly staff,would recommend

We try to use sawley catch at least once a week...they are the best always hot and the place is always nice and clean .just love it

I used to go to George’s, however when they changed from my favourite Pukka pies I took my custom here. Always a friendly welcome and the best Pie & Chips in the area.

Was at my daughters and decided to have a fish and chip supper went to the sawley catch as id been told how good it was was not disappointed big fish loads of chips great food can't wait to go back
