My wife and I had a really great breakfast. The food quality was exceptional and all locally sourced. The quantity was also plentiful. The staff great and very friendly. 6 items for £9, 9 items for £11.50 plus a wide choice of other dishes on the menu. The new owner is doing a great job and judging by the welcome and the quality of the fare is already making a success of Savoir Fare. My wife happened to mention that it was my Birthday and as I was paying the bill I was offered a cake as a Birthday Present - what fantastic customer service.

Used to come to this place regularly and have tried it a couple of times since it changed hands as it's always been one of my favourite places for breakfast. The new owners have obviously put a lot of effort into it but sadly it's just not been great. The choice is very limited for vegetarians and when I asked why there was no longer a veggie breakfast option I was told it was because the chef hadn't found a vegetarian sausage they liked. I get that they want to focus on quality ingredients but there are so many great options out there it's hard to understand why they can't find something they're happy with, and its very easy to make your own plant based alternatives. They suggested it was because they don't want to serve processed food but they do serve meat sausages, bacon, black pudding, beans from a tin and frozen processed hash browns. The food was good, especially the fried bread, but just not many options (they'd run out of several items on the small menu). Our biggest gripe was the wait. We were told when we ordered that it would be a 20min wait which was no problem. However after over an hour of waiting we were told that some of the items we'd ordered weren't available and so after changing the order we finally got out food after well over an hour. If we didn't have a hungry child with us we would have left and gone somewhere else. We weren't kept updated and other tables seemed to have an equally long wait. It would have been nice to have been offered more drinks while we were waiting. The food was really good quality, as it should be for this price range, but I don't think we'll bother again. Such a shame as this could be a great cafe. It used to be packed all the time and you had to reserve a table it was so busy. Hopefully they'll listen to feedback and get it back to its best.

The location is lovely, and the atmosphere is OK. When we went it was heaving with kids, which was to expected during holiday times, so it was to be expected. It is by a play park after all ! The service is friendly, over the top friendly - we were made to feel very welcome which is the important thing, but possibly could chill a little ! (sorry !). The food was expensive for what you get, and the sandwiches could have had a side salad, and crisps with it, you just get the sandwich on the plate. Overall, I would go again as it's a great location and friendly, but I'd avoid holidays probably.

Myself and 2 of my work colleagues try to meet up for breakfast here every couple of months or so, we hadn’t been since before Xmas but 2 of us met up yesterday for breakfast. On arrival there had been some layout changes and they were mid decorate as it has now changed hands, still has great service, Tom and his colleague (male) were excellent especially with our accompanying dog!. The breakfast menu has less choice than previously (only as I’m not a fry up fan) but I had the eggs/broccoli/salsa verde dish and it was delicious. Lovely place to visit for a catch up and then a little walk round the park, will be back soon, good luck to Tom and the new team.

This cafe located in Garth park serves up the most delicious drinks and food. Prepared and made to order, you can guarantee great value for money. The staff are just so lovely, friendly and welcoming. It’s difficult for me to say what my favourite dish is from there as what I’ve had so far (slowly working my way through menu!) has always been delicious!I’m thrilled that they are back open and welcoming us bs j with an upbeat and positive attitude! I love the way it’s decorated, currently for the spring/ summer season, so it has a lovely, tropical paradise island vibe! And they really are practicing proper social distancing regulations, so you can feel safe dining there. Just a tip- do anticipate your visit there are book a table to before hand.

I was introduced to this little cafe some time ago, However I didn't really get to visit until a short while before we went into lockdown. The food, coffee and service has always been of a very high standard, but at times I had struggled with the range of options, not eating red meat. Now lockdown has been eased, it was a my first choice to visit and book a table. I believe we should try to help local small businesses and as they are so good. Today when I arrived, I was greeted with a lovely warm welcome, even though I was alone, after initially making the booking for four, it was not a problem, they still welcomed me and seated me at the big table. The cafe has been made covid safe but still hasn't lost any of its lovely atmosphere or charm. There is also a fantastic new menu and this will make such a difference to me personally with a bigger choice.I would highly recommend the Mojo chicken burger served up with avocado, a type of salsa and salad on the bun, plus a serve of fries. There are plenty of options for all but also a great selection for non-meat eaters. If you haven't got time for a breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea, then pop to the takeaway opening where you will still get a delicious coffee, cake or even an ice cream.Amazing little local cafe, covid safe and very friendly and accommodating staff.

Me and my partner came here last weekend just to order 2 hot drinks . There was so many people waiting for mainly just drinks. The service was ridiculously slow. I understand due to covid it might be difficult due to staff..etc but waiting for nearly 25 -30 mins for drinks was ridiculous .Sadly I think they have gone down hill and I am put off eating here as last time I felt extremely sick.I am also annoyed that you have to pay to use their toilet facilities . I had to pay just to use the baby changing facilities and I also noticed that was no bin in the toilets so had to carry my toddler's dirty nappy to the outside bin which I found embarrassing.Garth park is a beauitful place but the cafe is a big let down.

We’ve eaten here a few times and love the quality of the food and service we receive each time. Very child and pet friendly and reasonably priced. A great place to relax and view of the park. One of ladies can be a bit “funny” about using the toilet if you pop in and don’t order anything immediately...doesn’t matter if you eaten there countless times before and we only did this on one occasion when the public toilet wasn’t accepting coins and I had to change our baby but forgot to bring my bank card to buy our lunch. Still this didn’t put us off.

This won't apply to many of you, but I write this review because the restaurant claims to be vegetarian friendly. That may be the case, but vegan friendly it is not. As soon as I asked whether they had any vegan options, the lady behind the counter sneered and rolled her eyes. At this point I knew it was going to be bad, but I hadn't realised how bad it would be. Her answer to the question was that they had a potato and beans, then with flash of inspiration, she yelled out to the kitchen to see if they had 'any of those peppers left' it turned out they did, so I was offered jacket potato with beans and peppers. Thinking that this didn't seem like too bad an option from someone who was clearly unfamiliar with veganism, I accepted. I was a short way through my meal when I realised that 'those peppers' were in fact the pickled 'burger salad' peppers that had been poured straight into my beans from the can, making the whole meal taste of cheap vinegar. It was after that that I noticed the square of butter that had also been added to the plate. I felt ill from the vinegar all day and would never go back to this poor excuse for a cafe. I strongly advise not going off the beaten track and don't present the staff with anything outside their comfort zone.

Can thoroughly reccommend Savoir Fare fpr any meal. Homemade bread & good local produce makes it the best breakfast in town, the only place to go especially after parkrun on a Saturday. They have always welcomed and looked after us no matter what the weather, dogs & children included.Lunches are just as delicious & the afternoon tea just rocks. As a family we had an early Christmas treat of teh Christmas afternoon tea and it was fabulous. The traditional tea with that Christmas twist, cranberries in the scones, mini mince pie & that tiny christmas pud cake, makes it an occasion to savoir. My own personnal taste would be to swop 1 of the sweet items out to include 1 more savory item such as a sausage roll or pig in blanket but this is not a complaint.Local business, fantastic food, awesome welcome and so friendly I wouldn't suggest you go anywhere else. (except on a saturday at approx 10am because we are starving after parkrun x)

The place was very clean helpful and friendly, clean toilets too. I went with my Son he had a vegetarian, home made bread sandwich, said was very good.

Without a doubt the best breakfast in Bicester in both value and taste! We go here regularly, great with kids and always friendly.

This feels like the kind of place once discovered you want to keep to yourself for fear its popularity might somehow ruin the experience next time. I’m sure there are lots of smug people who have discovered this little gem and are enjoying great fresh food at very reasonable prices. Set in a park in Bicester it doesn’t look like much from the outside and to be fair it doesn’t look amazing on the inside either but on the two occasions I’ve eaten there the food has more than made up for the decor. It seems popular with parents with babies and I guess the park setting, relaxed atmosphere and great value food is an obvious draw to parents looking for somewhere to get out of the house for a few hours. My only criticism would be the amount of garnish that comes with their sandwiches, it could be considered a side salad there is so much of it and in my opinion is unnecessary to what is a hearty healthy meal already. They offer a Sunday roast for £10 which I can’t wait to try as I’m sure I will be very happy with what I’m served with.

Sandwiches are wonderful, a meal in themselves. Cakes and other naughty pastries just to tempting. Try the hot meal suggestions?

Good service and good food. They open at very good times that is most suitable if you are working shift patterns. Opening at 0800 hrs is an excellent working practice and good for families.

We had a lovely meal last week, sitting outside. The food was superb, and the service was efficient and friendly. I can recommend the home made nachos. Probably the best I’ve ever had! And a good choice of vegetarian dishes too. The place has a lovely atmosphere whether you’re going for a meal or just to enjoy a drink.

Thank you to Kerry for welcoming us to the Crown and allowing us to visit on a trip to Charlton on Otmoor to research family history. The pub is lovely and full of history - although we had to be on the road back home by the time it opened for customers, I will be back as I need to bring my friend's whose family used to keep the inn back in the 1800s and will stay for a drink and soak up the atmosphere. Kerry was lovely to talk too and shared some stories about the pub, which was kind of her as she was getting ready to open. Based on meeting Kerry, I know you will get a great welcome at the pub.

Another fabulous evening meal in the Lodge at the Muddy Duck. Lovely cheerful staff, prompt service and great food served hot as it should be. This is still the best pub for miles around and well worth a visit. The only negative is (still) the absence of a lovely welcoming fire. The room is begging for it.
