Savage Garden Rooftop Bar (Saturday Brunch from 12pm - 3pm) in City of London, Westminster

The experience at this site was not what we expected. The views of the city were nothing out of this world. The outside terrace with 5 tables and sofas, each one had a heater, but it only worked on one table. The waiter offered us a blanket but our idea was to eat something and after sitting there for half an hour, no waiter attended to us to order a drink or food, and when finally one approached our table he told us that to eat he had to be inside. At the entrance, when we arrived we commented that we wanted to eat and if it was possible on the outside terrace and we were told yes. Then it turned out that it wasn't like that. The service was non-existent, lots of security staff but zero or unprofessional service staff. Once inside the premises, this place has a level of music, which is incompatible with having a conversation. It would not be said that it is music but annoying noise, not appropriate for a venue or meeting of friends and chatting. The menu offering is mini tapas, nothing special. Once they take your order, they do not automatically charge you, but rather they register your credit card and give you a plastic key that you must hand over when you leave and they already charge you for your order, something ridiculous. You register my card, you make me have a key, and in the end you charge me, for us it is absurd and incomprehensible. It is not a place we would recommend.

Amazing views from outside table's over London skyline. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious.

The service and waiter was very Good . Its been long i am going to the bar but this time the hostess was so rude . She said if you guys were not with group why you didn’t came back to me for a table. Very rude behavior as i am working long in hospitality but i have seen a hostess so rude to the guest.

This bar has a beautiful terrace with wonderful views of the city. The atmosphere is just incredible, and it is great for both a group night out or a couple's date. The location is definitely great for photography and having your pictures taken, with views from Tower Bridge, the Shard, etc. The food was great, we tried the octopus and the halloumi, and both were cooked to perfection. The drinks were ok, on the expensive side, as we had a bottle of Hendricks with some tonic. Definitely a special place, for special occasions.

Took so long to come and get the order, also music volume was too loud that you could barely speak and be listened to. Drinks were really expensive, and the view was not too impressive.. I think in London there are rooftops who have a more clear view of the city and tall buildings

Really nice place to go with friends to socialise and relax. The views are great and the place has a good vibe. The DJ playing music also is a nice touch. Service was excellent so shout out to the staff. I didn’t eat but my group did and they enjoyed the food.

Been recommending this place to friends already……beautiful views, nice atmosphere, food was tasty, waiters are lovely and very friendly, DJ was playing nice music in the background not too loud so we could chat. We were lucky it wasn’t busy, so got to keep our table for much longer, which was a bonus. Definitely will be going back.

The second star only for the location with a very beautiful view but it was the worst dinner I had in 5 days in London. Terrible service, chicken served raw, terrible burger, forgettable dessert. Definitely needs improvement

Cool vibes and nice atmosphere. I went on Saturday night and they had a live dj which I like. The music was good. The atmosphere was good. You can see a beautiful view of tower bridge. I didn’t get to try their food but try one of their signature drinks. I didn’t like it at all so I ordered another drink. Still the cocktail wasn’t come the way that I like it. It tasted like it was missing something. Now to the price, it’s kinda on the pricier side. Cocktails cost around 15-20 pounds. For me I don’t mind paying more on the cocktails if it was a nice craft cocktails. But unfortunately both of their cocktails weren’t up to par so I don’t think I will return to this bar again. Too bad because I have to stay here over a week and I have to be on a mission to find somewhere else to drink and relax off the hotel premises instead.

If you’re looking for a rooftop bar near the tower bridge you have to check out Savage Garden rooftop bar. They have some nice views of the tower bridge. I highly recommend sitting outside. This bar runs on the pricier side with cocktails ranging from 15-20 pounds. We also wanted some food/ small bites to share. The portions here are very small and on the pricier side. I highly recommend the burger sliders and cauliflower bites. The guac was good but a very tiny portion. We also got the duck bao buns but the duck did not taste fresh so I would not recommend ordering that.

Amazing and unique views of London, if you can sit outside, you get the best experience. Classy atmosphere.

Went there for celebratory drinks after our wedding. We sat on the terrace the only food available until 17:00 was olives and corn which was not an info made available on the booking confirmation. Had some drinks and we were able to order food at 17:00 food was just alright. The umbrellas which had two seats to the sides of them had grease which stained our wedding suits we tried to wide them of with a wet cloth and that was all no one apologised for this or tried to clean the umbrellas at least. I can’t say that we didn’t have a good time but definitely wasn’t the experience we were expecting for a celebration.

Quiet rooftop bar. With a good view, particularly on a nice warm clear sky evening. Don't worry about coming here during the day. Night is where the really beauty of this place comes out. They don't do pints but the drinks are a fair selection.

Service is particularly bad... been waiting 10 minutes to order a cocktail, and 30 minutes for it to be delivered. In the meantime, security guys came 10 times or every 2 minutes to tell us that the terrace will good. If I could advise: Better / faster waiters, and less security guys would be so much nicer

Had been excited to visit after seeing lots of ads on social media. Visited on a Sunday, only four cocktails on offer, no food other than fries so. It sure why we were given full cocktail/food menu. Drinks we were had were bland and very plain in presentation, mine tasted like sour lemon squash. Zero atmosphere, had good tunes playing inside but outside dead as a desolate supermarket car park. Massively disappointed, bored, couldn’t wait to leave! Don’t believe the hype.

I had an absolutely amazing time here. Clive, David, and cocco made sure that my colleagues and I had an amazing time. It was the perfect place for our work do.

The bar is beautiful and the views are great… if you get a table by a window. We pre-booked for a large group and were given multiple small tables along a curved bench so couldn’t see everyone and staff got annoyed with us trying to move closer together to actually be able to speak to each other. Cocktails were terrible and massively overpriced (£18 for 100ml…?). You know it’s going to be bad when everyone makes a face and starts passing cocktails around going ‘taste that 🤢’. They only offer their small selection of ‘specialty’ cocktails which tasted like cheap spirit and pond water, couldn’t/wouldn’t make any standard cocktails (like a negroni) and were weird when we asked if the cocktails could have more mixer so we could at least drink them. There’s so many sky bars in london, try them instead.

Perfect place for small celebrations as well as dinners with family and friends. The view from the rooftop is mesmerising. Been there on a sunny day with a group of friends and it has become one of my favourite places in London. Food taste was okay and can be improved.

Beautiful venue and great atmosphere. However food is horribly overpriced for what it was. £24 for a dry and bland burger. Super stingy with the bottomless drinks too. But the service was horrible. Staff were rude, and inattentive. Paid a lot of money for a large group would at least expect better service. Staff seemed like they had more important things to do than serve us as they were setting up for a party. Utterly unacceptable.

I had an amazing experience with the fabulous team at the restaurant. The general manager, Marco, took the time to personally address us regarding our cocktail choices from the menu. His enthusiasm and attention to detail made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this exceptional experience to anyone looking for great service and delicious cocktails.

I was shookt at the Pygmy Puff ( it was served in a plastic bag?!) but everything else from the cauliflower and bao and brownie and my eventual passionfruit drink recommended by the staff was so worth it. Great views and ambience!

Absolutely terrible service. Booked x2 tables of x10 and were positioned in the corridor area between the reception and the bar. One of the tables hadn’t been cleared from the previous customers on our arrival, so I had to do that myself (clearing used glasses and napkins) before my guests arrived. After we were shown to our tables no one came back to take our order. After several chases we finally got the opportunity to order a bottle of champagne, which arrived shortly afterwards. From that point onwards though the service levels plummeted. We ordered more champagne throughout the night, but had to chase and chase to receive it. I think we waited approximately 45 minutes for one bottle while arriving guests stood empty-handed. It was embarrassing. At no point throughout the night (and we were there from 7.45pm until 1am) did anyone come to check on us, ask us if we wanted anything, or at the very least ask us if we wanted another drink! For the prices this establishment charges, the service levels just don’t marry up. And then to be charged service on top of an already hefty bill just added insult to injury. Would avoid in future.

Awful experience. Booked this place for our anniversary dinner. Walked into what felt like a ghost town at 5:30 pm. Nobody at the desk to seat us or check our reservation. We went to the bar where one of the staff was half heartedly interested in seating us at the balcony. Great views from there to be honest. We ordered drinks and were looking at the menu to order food when a member of staff called Regina said- in a very rude and hostile tone- that we either have to move to a table inside or agree to pay a minimum of £50 per person to stay where her colleagues seated us. Another option Regina rudely suggested was to move to another terrace- where tables are on first come first serve basis- but Regina wasn’t even willing to check if there was a table free for us to move to. While we were happy to pay more than the £50 Regina said we should pay, we were put off by her unprofessional and rude attitude and decided to leave when we finished our drink to have our dinner somewhere else. This place deserves more professional staff who understand what working in hospitality means better than Regina. I don’t think we will ever come back or recommend it to anyone.

The place is really nice but the service is terrible. We initially asked for 3 aperol spritzes, we received 3 select spritzes (very different taste!) and when we asked for explanations we were told this is what their aperol is (but aperol is something different!). After that we ordered some food, fries, mini burgers and some g&t. We asked 4 different people, had to wait 1h to receive the food, no sign of the g&t even though we asked multiple times for it, and eventually after 1h10 got asked about the drinks, at which point we just dropped it because we didn’t want it anymore. Honestly, never had such a terrible experience! For being in a posh hotel as well! Do not recommend, sorry.

The views are amazing, but everything else is very poor. Cocktails are extremely expensive – around £20 per small glass, but they are so weak you will taste mainly water. The food is very poor value. £20 for “sliders“ – three micro burgers that add together to less than a single normal size burger. For £20. No fries. No salad. No sauce. £20, for less than one burger. And then there’s the toilets. The toilets smelt worse than any toilets that I’ve ever smelt. I don’t know what was going on in there the day that we visited, but there must’ve been a serious problem with the drains combined with a couple of people having unfortunate accidents, and then the staff trying to cover the smell with a litre of cheap perfume. Overall, amongst the worst rooftop bars I’ve been to

Worst place I ever been in London really bad staff with no profesional attitude, waiting for drinks and food too long and actually not being busy, bad food looked like the food is too old, too expensive.

Incredible views and vibes inside. We stayed at the hotel and made a reservation for a table that overlooks the river. We sat there for about 20 mins before receiving service. We ordered a bottle of wine and some water and still waiting another 20 mins for our bottle. Servers walked by multiple times without helping us and was rather disappointed in our experience here. Not a way to treat guests of the hotel and guests who made a reservation.

This is a wonderful bar with great views over the Tower of London. The wines by the glass are fantastic, the staff attentive. Especially good on hot sunny days.

Probably the best view of London there is… I am staying at the floor just below it so I frequent this bar. I only drink G&T, they have a lot of choice but most items are OOS. Worth it by day and by night.

Inside the bar it was very hot, but there is a nice terrace with the view to the tower of London and the tower bridge. Nice area to walk around with the train station very close by.

Dreamy experience, great cocktails.

First of all, amazing view. The staff is very professional and friendly, cocktails are delicious, if you ever have doubts on what to order, the bar will give excellent recommendations. It was my first time also I have been to lots of place in London but this one is the best also I love the place, beautiful view with amazing atmosphere. Can’t get over the mountains view. Drinks 10/10. Good is really good l!! Also the Alessandro is amazing soul!! Really appropriate his gestures!

Amazing view of London from the rooftop, its very spacious with a few separate inner seating areas and the main bar, as well as outside seating. Prices are higher than you average bar but the place itself is worth it.

Great bottomless brunch experience on a sunny Saturday (thanks London!). Really hip and welcoming atmosphere and glad we booked as it was busy. Host checked about my special request and we were given a great table between bar action and the terrace windows out towards Tower Bridge. Lisa was our excellent waitress and as well as serving our first drinks also brought 2 glasses of special bubbles. Big thank you. Brunch food was good. Mac & Cheese was the least flavorful but overall efficient service and varied brunch staples. We loved the signature Bloody Mary and it really fit in with the jazzy mood. Great for couples and small-ish groups. Have told our London friends and will come when in London for work again. Enjoy this (secret, for now) Savage Garden.

Party of six ladies arrived without a table Booking, but staff were happy to seat us. Bar area was fairly busy but there were empty tables. We ordered bottles of champagne and food. DJ was fantastic and food was good however, we ordered another bottle of champagne and a G&T at 9:50pm and had just starting drinking it when staff came and told us we had to leave at 10pm as the table was booked! We said that we wanted to be able to finish the drinks they had served us but the management got doormen to surround our table and kept telling us to leave. Very intimidating and ruined our evening. We offered to leave straight away if they refunded our drinks but they refused, stating that we had opened the bottle. At no time during our evening did they say the table was needed for 10pm. We were harassed and shouted at and had our belongings picked up as they tried to forceable remove us at 9:58. Apparently other friends have experienced the same treatment. Terrible customer service!!

Great location with a view of Tower Bridge. Definitely have to come back in summer to enjoy the atmosphere. Was decorated according to the theme of Halloween 🎃. Bit smaller than expected

The overnight stay at the hotel includes a visit to the bar. Access is easy, but reservations are an advantage. Welcome at the elevator on the ground floor. If you live in the hotel, bad luck. First to the ground floor, then with the exclusive elevator to the 12th. The bar has a very modern design. Drinks selection is high quality and cannot be compared with a pub. The view is magnificent. There is a club atmosphere throughout the bar. Loud electric music. Dark with light as an accent. However, the prices are quite excessive. Bottle of beer 7.5 pounds e.g. I was expecting a relaxed, relaxed atmosphere but not a techno bar. The Savage Garden leaves you with mixed feelings: on the one hand, beautiful and high quality. On the other hand, total snob, chi chi and cheap decadence. P. S.: The self-imposed dress code is a joke. Everything goes around there except for jogging suits.

Well, this place simply and easily is a........... Not because of the staff on the floor or in the bar, it's because of poor management. The GENERAL Manager has nothing to do with hospitality he is not even able to manage his team. Racism, discrimination, disrespect to almost all the staff member of course not if you are italian because that's where he is from. Disgusting place to either work but to be a customer as well. They are looking at you with judgement in their eyes and like you are no one. If you take my honest opinion and advise never ever go here. Cocktails are disgusting because they are only choosing the one that has been created by their lovely """"""Bar Supervisor"""""" and their Italian GANG. The """"bar supervisor""""" by the way hates serving people and swearing at you in italian while he is doing it. DISRESPECTFUL DISGUSTING PEOPLE OVERALL., Feeling bad for all the people who are working there under their hands. I hope you find a better job pretty soon guys!! good luck !

My mom and I popped up here as we were staying at the double tree hotel. A Saturday evening (7 pm). They sat us immediately. It wasn’t crowded at all. There was very loud dance music playing. We asked if they could seat us the furthest away from the speakers. They allowed us to move and turned down the music for us (thoughtful). We each had a drink and appetizers. Olives, squid and bang bang cauliflower. Olives and squid were standard and good. The cauliflower, however, was fresh and well seasoned. I definitely recommend it! Overall, great experience!

Two stars for good drinks & a great view. This was the worst bar we visited in London, the atmosphere was great, the drinks were expensive but high quality and very good. However, $70 pounds to consistently be told we need to leave by 23:50 is ridiculous. Backstory: we arrived right around 23:00 give or take 3 minutes, were immediately told last call was in progress by the hostess. This was interesting because according to google the bar closed at midnight, and we have never encountered a last call prior to 23:40-23:50. We ordered our drinks immediately , drank our two rounds within a 30 minute time frame, and were still advised by the staff a grand total of five times that we needed to leave the bar by 23:50. We left the bar before 23:45. If the view was awe inspiring at all, it was immediately dimmed by the horrendous service. This is a stunning bar with great drinks. But the staff completely ruins any chance at having a good experience. 2 out of 5 ⭐️

Eigentlich fände ich eine Bewertung mit 2,5 Sternen fair, lässt sich hier aber nicht machen. Die Bar bietet zwar einen guten Blick, aber es geht hier so laut zu, dass man sich nur rufend verständigen kann. Dass sich Gäste laut unterhalten...das liegt nicht in den Händen des Betreibers, aber dass das Personal hinter der Theke alle leeren Flaschen in die Kästen werfen muss, ist und bleibt unverständlich. Der ganze Aufenthalt in der Bar war von ständigem geklirre und gescheppere begleitet. Die als so sagenhaft angekündigten Cocktails waren nichts besonderes, fast langweilig und bestanden zu einem fast unverschämten Anteil aus Eis. Das Essen war ok, aber zu teuer, der Service wenig engagiert und kalt, somit ärgert man sich dann über die Service charge, die wir als nicht verdient empfanden. Es gibt weitaus besser Bars mit Blick über Themse und Towerbridge.

We got the Xmas menu for dinner. Particularly impressed with the 3/4 appetizer’s. Lovely ambience seatings and view to outside . Service was attentive as well.

Classy place but not quite a hidden gem, layout is a bit weird and not quite as good for a night out as some other city/rooftop bars. Nice decor tho.

Beautiful views. I came here for a company party so I didn't have to pay or consume. I will comment on the venue and it was great. Perfect for dates with great views of tower bridge and many of the London iconic buildings.

Someone called up asking for MY booking details and the receptionist disclosed all my info and even mentioned that I was there with someone! This is not really right, is it??

Went to Savage Garden for London Cocktail Week with a friend. The view was lovely and service was second to none. They had 3 cocktails on offer but these were limited to one each person. Me and my friend chose different cocktails and the maître D surprised use with the third cocktail on the house. Highly recommended. Thank you

It's an overpriced bar with a token DJ. There are great views of Tower Bridge and the London skyline but the view doesn't warrant the premium added to the price of the drinks.

My friend and I were late by 1 hour but at the reception we felt so welcome and we were nicely introduced to Savage Garden by the receptionist which walked us till the bar area. We decided to seat on the rooftop which had an outstanding view of London. We met Maria and Lisa our waitress which were so nice and friendly throughout our experience at Savage. We had bottomless drinks and went for Bellinis which were so easy drinking and delicious. Also we opted for the Brunch and shared the burger, chicken, fries and cauliflower. All the food was so so tasty, we just disliked the burger which was removed from our bill. Thanks for understanding our feedback Maria and management. We will definitely come back again soon! Worth the experience!

Not the experience I was expecting. We went to this rooftop bar to get a cocktail. It said it would be open till 12pm and we came in just before 11pm. We just wanted to sit down and have one drink. After 15 minutes of waiting the waitress came to take our order. We ordered some very very expensive cocktails. When she came back with the drinks we had to pay immediately (mind you, 20 pounds for 1 cocktail). The cocktail was not much at all (a lot of ice in a small glass which made it awkward to drink) and nothing really special. After 5 minutes the first waiter came around to let us know that we had about 30 min left before closing. After 10 minutes they started cleaning all the tables and after 15 minutes they took away the lights on the table and the “bright light” was turned on. We were stared down to “get going”. We didn’t have the feeling that we were welcome anymore. Please don’t let people in if you want to close early. I don’t think I’ll be coming back any time soon. A lot of other really nice rooftop bars in the area. Amazing view tho (hence the two stars).

Die Bar hat ein tolles Ambiente. Man kann draußen und drinnen sitzen. Allerdings ist der Service wirklich schlecht. Man wartet sehr lange auf eine Bedienung. Wir haben auch diverse Bedienungen angesprochen, aber wurden jedes Mal aufs neue vertröstet und enttäuscht. Die Drinks schmecken normal, sind aber deutlich teurer als normalerweise. Dazu werden noch Tricks angewendet wie große Eisblöcke im Drink, damit es nach mehr aussieht als es ist. Leider eine ziemliche Mogelpackung.

Lovely place with beautiful view.

Came to the bar here up on the 12th floor of the DoubleTree hotel. You get nice views of Tower Bridge and the city. Staff were all pleasant and service was efficient and professional. We enjoyed our drinks from our table by the window and took in views of the Shard, Tower Bridge and the Walkie-Talkie. Really liked this place. Truly, madly, deeply.

Decent cocktails, fairly expensive but that’s to be expected. Service was friendly enough but no DJ on a Saturday night, just a playlist. You’d expect a bit more for a place like this

The ambiance was nice but a bit loud for casual hangout. No live DJ, just a mediocre play list. The service was fine although a bit slow, even on a slow night. Drinks were uninspiring. Food was disappointing. The view alone is not worth visiting. If you’re staying in the hotel for business, there are many other venues in the city to impress.

Beautiful Rooftop Bar in Tower Hill London!

Awful experience! By far, the worst rooftop I’ve ever been ever. The awful experience began at check-in, when the guy checked my reservation and said, "please follow the corridor, I'll be right behind you to escort you to the table"; I did so, and at the end of the corridor, I stopped checking where he was; and he was escorting another group of 6 people (different group of people) who checked in after me. He followed me, fully ignoring me, and escorted those groups to their tables. After 10 minutes of standing in the middle of the room while all the other waiters ignored me, he returned, apologised, and escorted me to the table. We sat at the table for more than 30 minutes before being served. We attempted to get the attention of the waiters by gazing at them, waving at them, and shouting to them. They totally disregarded us. Surprisingly, they serviced the table next to us at least 5 times during that time. We had finished our cocktail and desired another, so we attempted again to catch the attention of any waiters. We became quite frustrated after another 30 minutes, asked for the bill, and left this torment. I would have expected far greater quality from a location of this calibre. If I were the owner, I would change the entire entourage, beginning with the management and working my way down to the waiters and escorts.

Excellent views, awesome cocktails! Bit expensive. We had requested a table during our booking which we weren't allocated. We also informed the person at the desk to move us once it's available. They forgot about it, and the funny thing is that the table was allocated to someone who didn't have a reservation (walk-in). We knew them as we had met them before in the elevator.

Not worth the visit, expensive, time limited on your table, bouncers intimidating waiting staff not very good, was stopped on way out and asked to pay bill, which we all ready paid!!

Excellent, their service and treatment is excellent

Great place for a summer evening! Tends to get quite busy but the stunning views of the city make up for it.
