Starters were very synthetic tasting. Every plate was identical in terms of garnish and sauces …. We ordered a lot of Starters: Veg spring rolls - from a wholesale just fried up and plonked on plate Golden parcels - same as above Prawn tempura - was okay very oily Corn cakes - no flavour Satay - decent nothing special Calamari - same as above We ordered a Green curry and although this was actually okay we couldn’t eat it because it was just full of chillies …. I mean it was atomic Anyways

Great service. The food was very well presented. We choose one of the set menu's on offer and only one word describes the meal. 'Sumptuous'

There aren't too many restaurants in Wymondham, so I'm pleased to report that SathuDee is well worth repeated visits. We went on a early Sunday evening and although the restaurant was quiet there was a steady stream of takeaway customers. I started with fishcakes and Shirley had the Spring Rolls. Both dishes were beautifully presented and well-spiced. For mains, I had the Thai Red curry and Sticky Rice, and Shirley went gor the stir-fry chicken curry. The rice lived up to its name and the curry had a good kick. Shirley found the stir-fry a little too spicy but a glass of water helped. We weren't able to try desserts as the mains were generously sized, with plenty of meat. We'll definitely visit again soon.

The restaurant is advertised as being open until 23:00 but when my daughter and I arrived at a busy restaurant at 20:50 we were rudely told that the kitchen wasn’t serving any more food as we didn’t have a reservation.

I’ve been here twice and the food is absolutely fantastic, good portion sizes and very reasonably priced. For a vegetarian there are lots of options and flavours to choose from. I will certainly be returning.

Despite the excellent reviews, our experience was slightly disappointing. After being told the restaurant had no tables (despite 75% of the tables being empty), we were eventually seated and wait to wait quite a while to make our food order. The prawn crackers were multicoloured purple, green, orange - not traditional Thai trackers and very oily. We got the mixed starter platter which was very nice, however the main course of prawn penang was not good. The sauce did not have any coconut milk in it as stated on the menu and prawns were cold and raw on the inside, so I had to send them back to the kitchen. When they returned it to me again, the prawns were still undercooked, and it had put me off finishing the rest so I left it. The coconut rice was also very disappointing - I was expecting fragrant sticky jasmine rice cooked coconut milk but it looked like a microwave basmati rice packet with desiccated coconut on top. The chicken massaman curry had nice flavours but the portion was very small and the chicken pieces were so large - almost a whole chicken breast sat in curry sauce. Overall, the service, vibe and food was disappointing considering the price and reviews. I wouldn’t return!

Excellent service, excellent food and a Thai restaurant not to be missed, restaurant is a bit dated in decor but it is very clean and has a charm that you can’t help but love! Definitely worth a visit if you want an authentic Thai meal! Thanks to the lovely young chap who served us too! Prawn cracker’s delicious 😊

Not much to add to most other reviews really. The food was first class and served by an excellent, friendly young man. Sathu Dee will definitely be a future favourite for us.

Ordered a large take away for 10 family members at a pre Christmas gathering. Order booked to collect at 6.50pm. Order was on time and carefully checked before I was assisted out of the premises with my 2 full boxes. The soup, starters Thai curries and pad Thai were delicious and perfectly prepared. Really excellent food and service. Well worth a visit.

We visited Suthadee for the first time. The food and staff were exceptional. Having worked in the far East for many years, this is the most authentic Thai food I have had in the UK. Polite staff, superb presentation and 5 star food. So glad we gave you a try, we will be back.

Had dinner here tonight, can honestly say the best Thai food since we were in Thailand. Fresh flavours, plentiful, attentive and friendly staff….. what’s not to love! Will definitely be returning, the choice being a coeliac was impressive

The second time we visited we had a great experience. The food is very tasty and the young man serving was polite, helpful and efficient. The menu is exactly the same as The House in Norwich so I assume the are sister companies? Our first experience was pretty awful - super slow service, and although the food was great, because the service was poor it not very hot.

I've been here a number of times because you can rely on SathuDee for quality authentic Thai food. The restaurant is often busy because it's popular with the locals so it is worth booking if you can. Staff are friendly and helpful and accommodating to dietary requirements like vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Highly recommend.

We have ordered take aways from here many times whilst staying in Wymondham with family and never been disappointed. I am coeliac and they are very helpful regarding choices. I absolutely love the chicken and cashew nuts with coconut rice which is amazing and my husband prefers the jungle curry with egg fried rice. We live down South and have not found anywhere that compares to Sathu Dee. Everything is carefully prepared and freshly cooked.

Had a takeaway meal for self and wife, collection rather than delivery, very covid aware on collection, the food quality was excellent and the portions are very large, its a little expensive but you definitely get good value therefore obviously going again.

Restaurant prices for takeaway food but the it didn’t disappoint. They made a special effort to prepare vegan dishes which they confirmed on the paper bags. Great flavours and a wonderful lockdown treat. Polite and friendly in a beautiful well presented location. Really recommend. We will return!

We are staying locally and decided to try Thai food. The service at Sathudee was excellent. So friendly and helpful, giving the customers extras for free. I dont normally tip but I certainly did here. The food was out of this world. Me and my husband said it was the best meal we've ever eaten. This place does not disappoint! Visited twice in the last twelve months or so, which clearly is not enough to cement a love of good food. It’s clear that you have to show and support something you love more and so my aim moving forward is to learn from this experience and form a new kind of relationship. The staff were attentive & frequent all throughout the visit which makes me want to go back for more. The moral to this story is support those that support you & forget the rest ! I’ll be back .....

I adore Thai food and this restaurant did not disappoint. We decided to go for a set menu and it was delicious. The gentleman who served us took the time to fully explain the dishes as he served us. By the time we got to dessert we were stuffed so we had dishes to take away.Absolutely lovely meal. Will definitely come again next time we are in the area....Nicely socially distanced and staff wore PPE face shields. Plenty of hand sanitisers too.

Visited last night for dinner with friends. Very organised & tables spaced out. Waiter very efficient. Menu was fairly extensive. We had a few dishes ranging from starters to mains - including seafood to chicken & beef dishes. The prawns were huge!! All the food was very tasty indeed. Definitely recommend this Thai restaurant.

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my partner. We had one of the set menus and every single dish was delicious. We started with mixed appetisers, which were served hot and were all very tasty. For mains we shared a Thai green curry, garlic and pepper pork, and vegetable stir fry, accompanied by both jasmine rice and egg fried rice. Every dish tasted fantastic, I would be hard pressed to choose a favourite. The pork was tender and incredibly seasoned, and was cleverly served with fresh cucumber which was a great accompaniment to the dish. The vegetables tasted really fresh and we polished off the lot. The Thai green curry was probably the best instance of this dish I’ve ever had, packed full of flavour with a well judged level of chilli that never became overpowering. We finished with dessert- coconut crepe rolls and banana fritters, both served with ice cream. Both were delicious, and the banana fritters were utterly perfect, with a light, crisp batter. Our waiter was attentive and kind, and was being very careful with hygiene, which is of course reassuring in the COVID era. The restaurant was adhering to social distancing and had hand sanitizer at every door. It was a real joy eating at SathuDee and we will absolutely come back again at the earliest opportunity.

We ate in on Friday evening with friends, first time out in a restaurant since March! Wonderful evening, we were looked after incredibly well, felt very safe , all C19 procedures in place and followed to the letter. Best service we have had in a restaurant for a long time, and the food was equally superb. Delicious food, freshly cooked to order. We will definitely be back and have no hesitation in recommending.

We were encouraged to try a takeaway from here because of the great reviews and it was really amazing - the customer service on the phone was great, really helpful and friendly, the food was delivered exactly on time and absolutely gorgeous. Melt in the mouth beef and duck, and also really tasty starters and good options for vegetarian son. Will definitely order again, and would love to come in for a meal when things get back to normal!

Popped in early evening without a reservation. We were welcomed by the waiter who was really friendly. Food was delicious. Fresh and tasty. The food was absolutely outstanding. All cooked from scratch, everything was mouthwateringly delicious and no MSG hangover the next day. Hands down the most tasty Thai food I've ever had. I was resident at the adjacent Town House Hotel for 4 weeks of which this restaurant formats a part. Dined at SathuDee most nights so had an exhaustive exposure to this venue. Explored most of the menu and just loved every dish presented. Pak, front of house, always accommodating. A true gem and fine addition to Wymondham. A “must dine” experience. Highly recommended.

My partner and I visited here for his birthday just after Christmas. The last time we visited was a Moroccan restaurant, so it was some time ago.

I have been here twice in the past week, with different friends, for meals before Christmas. Standard of service was exponential, food so tasty. Best meals I've had for quite a while. Gentleman who served us was very accomodating; made sure my friend's dinner was gluten free, and that mine was spicy. Recommended.

Absolutely superb Thai restaurant. Service is impeccable, food is cooked fresh and the taste is immense. I go here every time I work in Wymondham now.

Our first visit, and we are bowled over by the standard of service and the fragrant food. Had a lovely chat with Pak the owner and was guided by him for our choice of food. We had the shared platter to start which was very tasty, but a bit too 'fried' for our liking although would recommend it. Pak told us of the other starters which are grilled or streamed so we will try those next! They will accommodate any requirement within their power so don't be afraid to ask! We look forward to visiting again with family and friends.

Our first visit tonight on a whim as we walked past. Very warm welcome from friendly, knowledgeable staff. The food was absolutely excellent, and my husband and I tried a good spectrum of starters and main courses. Delicious, fresh food, perfectly cooked and so flavoursome. Our new favourite Norfolk restaurant; we will return, and often.

Drove past and decided to pop In rather than get a takeaway approaching 9pm on a Monday night. A warm welcome followed by excellent service and a great curry and dessert. Very impressed and look forward to visiting again soon

Ate here over the weekend. Food lovely, staff also lovely. Nice atmosphere - busy without feeling chaotic. Best crispy beef I have had, delicious and tender with a bit of crispness. Unlike a many Thai restaurants the portion sizes are good - a main course is a main course. Prices are also very reasonable.

We went on a Wednesday lunchtime (closed Monday and Tuesday lunchtimes) and we were the only ones there for most of the meal. We had the Thonburi set meal which was very good, the duck was the best I've ever tasted.

I've been to Thailand and fell in love with their excellent food. This restaurant knows how to make it. We had a green curry and a red curry takeaway and it may have been the best takeaway food I've ever had. We were particularly impressed with the pineapple fried rice which was completely mad but brilliant.

I emailed the restaurant and they got back to me promptly. As a group booking we paid a deposit and pre ordered, which was all very easy. They kindly let me drop a birthday cake off at the restaurant prior to the meal.

This was our third visit, this time with friends who hadn't been before. Everything just as good as our previous visits. We had the mixed starter which is a lovely selection.
