Fantastic food everyone in our party of 9 loved it! Great value. If you love Malaysian, Chinese or Thai food it’s a great place to come, good portions sizes and decent value. The house special (in picture) is amazing - Nasi Lemak.

Located on the high street of Stockton Heath, it actually has the look and feel of a small bistro, nice but busy atmosphere, good back ground music and the service was efficient and friendly. There is another room upstairs but if you have any walking difficulties be warned the stairs are very steep and the toilets are upstairs!. The menu is an Asian mix of Malaysian, Chinese & Thai, as a rule I prefer restaurants to focus on one style but having looked at the menu online it appeared more Malaysian!. The "chicken satay" starter was very good, the chicken moist and tender, the peanut sauce was full of flavour and had a lovely spice. We also had the "Dynamite" prawns and although very tasty the sauce lacked any spice, we were told you can ask for spicy but you expect it if you use the word "Dynamite". The main course Malaysian noodles was very good and I would have gone for another Malaysian dish Randang as this is primarily a Malaysian restaurant but my wife decided on "Mongolian crispy lamb" which was very crispy but also very dry and at best poor!. Another review did comment on the takeaway business being busy and to be honest it was with quite a lot of delivery guys in & out plus a noisy group waiting at a table, it did not really affect us but it would obviously upset some customers!, be warned! Perhaps the owner should consider using the upstairs restaurant room for those that prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. Having lived and worked in Asia for many years the experience is normal for us so was not a problem. Overall, our visit was ok. If you want something Asian but different from Chinese or Thai then this is a good option but stick to the Malaysian dishes!.

Firstly the food was good, the problem is the restaurant is small and caters more for take aways than restaurant diners. I can’t bear to be sat in a restaurant whilst Deliveroo and Uber eats etc drivers stand next to me waiting for take aways watching me eat. Plus the normal people coming in to pick up a takeaway, for me you have options here, you either have a separate entrance/pick up point for takeaways or you are a restaurant you can’t be both. I wouldn’t sit and eat inside a chip shop/chinese take away so don’t like to do it when eating in what I thought was a restaurant.

We ordered a take away from here in November to feed 8 fussy adults and have been obsessed with their food ever since. We’ve been slowly making our way through the menu and every single dish has been delicious. Always lovely phone service too, would highly recommend!

We visited Satay on a Saturday night and I was so impressed with the quality of the food!! The duck spring rolls were excellent and the sizzling chicken satay was a standout dish. With a number of alcoholic beverages plus starters and mains, it ended up being £27 each (for four in total) with a tip included, which is extremely reasonable. Will definitely be returning!

Ordered food for the whole family on a Saturday night and the delivery driver stole the order and didn’t get any communication. Was left 2 hours waiting. Awful service

Really nice food. Roast chicken rather than boiled and fresh prawn crackers! 👍
