The Trawlerman in Warrington

Ordered a takeaway/ delivery for the first time. Very impressed with 1 not only the food quality but also the delivery time frame and also the lovely attention to detail of adding in some complimentary dishes. I will most definitely order again from here on my next visit to Warrington.

I have always loved my food from here, the staff are so friendly and always make sure you get what you want, very satisfied

The best pudding chips peas and gravy ever

We had special fried rice with a special black bean sauce and a small portion of chips. All hot plenty of flavour spot on food this is our local chinese takeaway been going here for over 30yrs. New owners are manageing it better now by cooking nice meals and improving on the chips well done all. 😁👍

Probably the best and biggest fish n chips in Warrington... if not the local universe....

Unfortunately not the best meal we've had from there. Chicken Ball over cooked,batter too thick ...chips like scraps and fried rice is an understatement...sorry but will give you a miss next time 😩

First time in years to order from this place, and definitely the it was absolutely terrible salt and pepper chicken was worst ever and chowmein with a egg is even worst , so rating must be 1 out of 5

It used to be my local chippy now purely interested in phone orders. The have left behind the locals that made it a success initially. Don’t bother unless you want to be at the back of a long queue of deliveroo drivers. To poor to mention.

We use to go there often years ago but today was ok curry was so thick poor taste next time go some where else

I used to love the curry sauce when it was the orange sauce with a kick I’m guessing it was vegan

The best Chinese take out in Warrington (my opinion) every dish I've had from here is well nice and the portions are good too definitely recommend to anyone. The kids love it as they only have nuggets and battered sausage and chips me and the Mrs have tried multiple Chinese dishes and every 1 was good 👍

We ordered chips , currys, gravys & savory cake for delivery took over an hour chips were warm ups from dinner full of grease, gravy left an after taste, savory looked like it had been cooked several time an was inedible due to batter being so hard 😥 very disappointed with the standard of food will not be ordering again ⭐

Beef with black bean sauce, chow mein noodles with duck simply amazing. Not a fast food fan but some of their dishes are absolutely delicious

I have never odderd from here before! But I have got say I was impressed with this fish and chips and curry .I have been to loads of chippys and its never been as good as yours your food is amazing 👏 😋 I will be ordering here again definitely. And your delivery driver that came was very chirpy .

To be honest... the food is good, not sure I've had a bad meal, however delivery is a mare, waited over an hour and half for food.

The food I've had this evening from this establishment was awful. Batter half an inch thick, soggy and uncooked. Not enough fish to make half a fish finger. Inedible and bad value for money. Never again.

3 weeks running they have given me the wrong order. I live far away and it is taxing to drive back. Not only that, staff were rude and not compensating after their mistakes. Very annoyed.

This had become our regular chippy, due to the massive portions and well cooked chips but recently we ordered cod and chips and unfortunately the fish was just overloaded with thick, gloopy batter. Such a shame because you couldn't taste the fish through the thick batter, so I can't comment on the taste of it. Sometimes you have to take into account that quality and taste is so much more important than quantity and maybe its time to take your custom somewhere else.

Excellent service! When they say ready in 15 minutes, they don't mean 30! Love the food, especially the Singapore Vermicelli. Fish 'n chips are nice too.

Visited after mention in Warrington Guardian. Chips were OK and plenty of them. The 2 stars are because the English women serving was not very pleasant. Was not at all welcoming and when I went to pay she abruptly pushed at me a small plastic container for the money. Then rudely thrust it back at me with my change. I realise there is a pandemic but the Customer Service training clearly not completed yet by her.

Heard rave reviews about this place so we thought we'd give it a try. The food was, and I cannot stress this enough, inedible. I have no idea how they managed to balls up something as simple as a chippy tea but they nailed it. The fat the chips were cooked in was from the pre Thatcher era, the gravy had the colour and consistency of of muddy water, I could have bounced the sausage off the floor and the peas were radioactive green and watery as hell. Literally triple zero stars for this place, couldn't eat any of it. The bin is now full.

They cook the chips then warm them up which leads to soggy greasy chips! They need to sort this out as I won’t be going again until they do...

Very disappointed. First chippy fish and chips for months, stale chips and fish with an added hair found in chips just to top it off. Money wasted on a meal we didn't eat. Will not return

Excellent value, quality and quantity fantastic. I know the ownership changed hands a few years ago but they still help out to keep things as good as ever.

been using this chipy for around 30 years like everywhere it it has it's good & bad days but mostly good & sometimes excellent. Delivery is reliable & the prices fair, portions large. what's not to like Oh & from time to time you will be served by one of the most attractive women you will ever see in your life which is a bonus lol

Started to go back i missed it for a while after they changed hands the food was not as good, but a couple of girls have started back . So the food as gone better again and the portions have got bigger again. Well done and keep up the good work food taste's allot better now !!!!!! Please improve on chips though sometimes soggy !!!!

What can I say, its a great little chippy. The food is excellent and the portions are a good size which makes it good value for money. The staff are very friendly especially the lady who takes your order. I have already recommended the Trawlerman to friends and I will definitely be visiting again.

Really good chippy and I drive past others to get to it due to the excellent Chinese takeaway and great portion sizes. Really reasonably priced too. Can recommend chicken foo yung and fried rice.

Some of the food it's ok but the chips are normally awful, soggy and very oily, they should improve them.

I had been recommended to the Trawlerman, and rang for details of delivery charges. You have to spend at least £10. on a meal, plus £2. for delivery, so for a housebound senior, £12. is a bit much for a meal.

Have been going here for many years and usually love the mixed grill went tonight and it was awful the gravy had some kind of seeds in it and it tasted awful, rang to complain as I have allergies and was concerned they'd changed the meal to be told it was garlic which I know it wasn't ended up throwing all 3 meals away a total waste of over £21 don't think I'll be returning
