River Queen in Warrington

Food is garbage, got fish, chips, mushy peas and gravy. Cheese pie. Pea's are basically tinned processed pea's nothing mushy at all. Gravy looked like dish water, pie had been put in the micro wave, soggy and wet. 0 would be the best rating.

Not the best BBQ sauce, but the food was fresh and tasted amazing.

Absolutely disgusting ordered the chicken in soy and honey no honey in the dish at all just a full bottle of soy. Ive had this from several Chinese so know what it is and looks like but no this was horrible. Put me off when the whole meal looks black/burnt. Only think thats eaten is the bin with the full Chinese

Soup was like water, no taste at all, couldn’t eat it, seaweed was awful - I have never had wet seaweed before with yellow bits in it. All in all, my order was almost £45 and I could hardly eat any of it.

This is the fifth time I have ordered from here after searching for a new Chinese delivery, these are great. food is tasty, great portions, decent non chewy meats and foods. Favourites are salt and pepper chicken chunks and special fried rice. Tonight wad black pepper chicken which was great.

Absolutely sick to death of this place!!! I have been a frequent customer for over 8 years but lately whenever I place an order online and pay for it, usually on Just Eat Tuesday where there is 20% off, they cancel my order and say not taking orders for delivery!! Every. Single. Tuesday. Then I have to wait to get my refund to go elsewhere. They clearly do this so they don’t have to give the 20% discount via just eat. Pure greed. Awful takeaway.

I can't even begin to describe how bad the food was that I had delivered a few nights ago.... Paid nearly £5 for the smallest spring rolls ever, The hot and sour soup was like dishwater. Chicken wings were really soggy and the OK sauce was like vinegar. Char sui fried rice came out the plastic container solid in a block 🤣🤣🤣 Never ever again.

Ordered at 7.05 and didn't receive until 9.20. I was past the point of being hungry and food was disappointing, I ate a small amount and felt nauseous as was extremely greasy 🤢 Delivery driver was nice apologised for it being late and advised was the only driver working. Why accept orders for a certain time if you know this is the case. First and last time ordering from here

Worst soup I’ve tried. It was hot which is as much as I can say. The hot and sour was neither of those things and had pretty much no meat, veg or seasoning in it. Genuinely dreadful.

All i ordered was 2 mains. not a big order. More flavour from a Uncle Bens Jar of sauce. Highly disappointed. Fried rice was bland. Sweet and Sour tasted watered down. Prawn crackers stale. Must of ran out of any kind of seasoning tonight. Was let down from the first bite.

Ordered Sezhuan but got watered down Oyster Sauce. Salt and Pepper was just onions and a bit of Pepper, proper rubbish. I would refuse food from here even if it was free. If I could give zero star rating I would. Avoid!

Always great from here. The fried rice is the best I've tasted from any Chinese in Warrington and the same goes for the curry sauce. The Chinese mushrooms are spot on too. I regularly order king prawn curry, fried rice and Chinese mushrooms and it always tastes terrific. Highly recommended.

I ordered at 7:40 we got it at 9:35 and it was a fairly small order (2 adults) It wasn’t hot, the curry sauce was tasteless and the ribs seemed a bit off par. Good points were the salt and pepper chicken wings. Can’t see me returning when there are other options so close. Let’s face it any Chinese needs a good curry sauce!

chips was dry and tasted old and hard. prawn crackers was old tasted out off date or was from last night stock . my sons burgers was burnt and rubbery bun was burnt. my fried rice tasted old and re heated in to much oil was very greasey.

Food was delayed and when it arrived the rice was stone cold and clumpy like it has been cooked a long time ago. Chow mein sauce was like water and the chicken seemed boiled and slimy, it got thrown in the bin! Sweet and sour chicken was exactly the same and ended up in the bin. Found a piece of plastic inside a prawn cracker. Had no signal so Juateat were no help. Hot and sour soup wasn't great, prawn toast and won tons were fine. Won't be returning.

Ordered extra hot curry... which I've had dozens of times and they delivered normal curry... prawn crackers were soft/stale..so rang them not wanting any refund or replacement ..to be told chef says curry was hot and prwlawn crackers were only just cooked so they should be OK.. What a shame.. a apology would have been enough as usually more than happy with the food.. and been using them for years ! Needless to say... last time we will be using them for food..

Have had stuff from here before, and although very scruffy looking...always thought it was OK... ordered curry extra hot ...was absolutely bland ... definitely not hot ... prawn crackers were soft/stale... telephoned them, to make sure no one else had these soft crackers delivered to be told they were OK as they had just been cooked...and the chef said the curry was extra hot.... told them I wasn't after any money or anything was just telling them... they didn't seem bothered and said the food was OK... So we won't be getting food from them again !!! An apology would have been more than enough !!

Omelette was tasty sadly burgers were dry and not very edible. Chips weren't bad and soup sadly was tasteless.

Good amount of duck. (Only good thing about the whole meal!!) Cucumber soft and squishy (like it’s not fresh), no spring onions (substituted with lettuce!!!!!) , both sauce pots extremely thin and watery, prawn toast made on normal bread and very very greasy. Rice was pale and not much taste and orange chicken tastes salty. Will not order from here again.

Food was delayed so much so the restaurant had closed, and I had to collect myself even though I paid delivery fee.

I normally love this place I order at least once a week. I requested a refund for my prawn noodle box because the prawns were like mush and tasted weird. No one got back to me about this and no refund has been authorised. Really disappointing as this restaurant is my go to for Chinese at home. A review was my last resort but given they have not replied, I had no other option.

1/2 Duck and pancakes were nice but I recommend buying 1 extra pack of pancakes. The regular egg fried rice size was generous.

Ordered our food to be delivered at 8.40pm and it was sent out and delivered at 7.35pm. Tried calling but just ringing out and no one answering. What's the point in doing a scheduled delivery if going to be ignored.

Noodles were burned and the ribs were very fatty and tasted like anise!

Looks can be deceiving. Top salt and pepper spare ribs. Nice family who run it. Would recommend 👍

Tried this Chinese rather than my usual one but I’ll be going back to my usual Chinese takeaway. Singapore fried rice was bland and not spicy how it should be. Salt & Pepper chicken was also bland. Curry sauce was nice.

Singapore Vermicelli and Yung Chow Fried Rice are very good! I love it so much! But I don't like the chips.

Food quality for the beef was excellent. The Thai Green curry was hopelessly over spiced. I couldn’t eat most of it. It seriously was not prepared right. Delivery was over an hour late too.

This was absolutely ridiculous, wouldn’t of even fed this to my dog , called up and complained and got hung up on , don’t know how this shop is even in business , sweet and sour chicken were like pop bites and the sauce was watered down , the soft noodles were so dry , looked like and tasted like hay , thoufht I give this shop a try because it’s closer to home but would rather drive another 3 minutes and go to golden city , perhaps the chef should actually go their and eat the food . Their lucky after hanging up on me I didn’t walk in and dump their dog food on the ground

Why does a mushroom omelette have onions in it? I wanted a mushroom omelette nothing else, just mushrooms, can't find anywhere that does a half decent one. Chips were mixed, some nearly burnt, some only just done, some hard, some soft. Peas were like bullets, curry ok. I asked my husband how his was.....edible, the reply!

One of the best takeaways in the area. Love the Singapore Fried rice and the Noodle boxes are to die for. Would always recommend.

Food was ok but I chose this takeawy because it had the quickest delivery time of 35 mins, I received notification it was on its way after 20 mins but total delivery time was 1 hour and 10 minutes. Girl who took my call when I enquired was very nice and professional, and the driver was nice. Food was ok, pie was cold, foo yung and soup were disappointing, all had to be re-heated due to delivery delay.

awful awful awful, never again. food minging and cold. whoever answered the phone was rude. took 2 hours for food to come was ‘on its way’ for about an hour! the delivery driver man was nice that’s about it, 0/10 from me.
