Warrington food at its best, yum yum

Ordered a beef curry and a steak pie dinner a few days ago. The pie dinner was OK but the curry was disgusting . The beef was tough and chewy and the flavour was vile. Threw the whole lot away. Don't bother is my advice.

Turn up late no phone awser to let me no food was cold save your money and don't bother

Charged for "free" boiled rice, food has gone downhill unfortunately since Mike and Martha left the business.

This place should be commended on their treatment of the needy. Amazing.

Chips tasted like immigrant's undies and to top it off, they've stopped selling smokey's.

Very poor service. Ordered on just eat at 6.50pm said delivery between 7.50pm till 8.10pm then received a call at 7.50pm to inform me that they have not got any ribs and my ordered had to be cancelled.

Food was 70 mins late cold and gave me some wrong food first time ordered from here was so looking forward to nice hot meal as read reviews on this place maybe a one of as busy but very disapointed

Lovely would recommend the bbq spare ribs and the £10 salt and pepper box just eaten these items and want them again I would take pics but have eaten it all

Got lunch from here today totally disgusting the pie must of been from friday it was hard and the steak inside was all dry the chips had been cooked in old oil the spring roll was cold just not got anything g nice to say really .Such a shame gone right down hill strongly advise people to think twice before going here.

Ordered a chicken gyro pitta and a salt n pepper donna box at 6.30pm for delivery .I was told it would be around an hour , which was fine. At 8.15pm I called back to see where it was , to be told 'm" its out for delivery".At 8.50 it still hadnt arrived, so I called back to cancel the order. I was asked my address " incase the order is out for dispatch"... well according to the phone call I had half an hour earlier , it was already on it's way.... I cancelled the order .

Went to mike and Martha's tonight 04/08/2020 had fish chips and mushy peas for 2 everything cooked fresh and tasted delicious and fresh would definitely recommend this to anyone. Best meal there since the original mike and Martha left would definitely go again . Marco top guy new owner.

Visited several times over the year's as the food is great. This was my first visit as a Warrington resident and it certainly won't be the last. Probably the best chippy in town.

Absolute joke went to order a kebab waited 20 minutes while the staff served 5 other people before me to be fair the girl seving me was very polite but the owner didnt understand a word i sed had to show her the pic of the kebab on the wall so she knew what to do even then she didnt understand. Chips like yesterdays left overs never again will i return gill warrington

I'm vegetarian and asked for my fritter to b wrapped separate from my boyfriend's food. He had sausage. When we got home they had put them together in the same wrapper. Not even a bit of greaseproof paper to stop them touching. Hence I didnt eat it! Didn't listen. Doubtful if I'll go back. Chips were nice tho

When you need a good bag of chips, Mike & Marthas is the place to go, love there spicy curry sauce and jumbo sausage, brilliant friendly staff.....love it after a few pints, always open!

Im happy to say the food is back up to scratch it went down hill for a while must have a new cook happy to shop there again

Doesn’t deserve one star!! To say this place has gone downhill would be an understatement!! My order was wrong, chips were hard fish had a really strong odour and was like rubber, worst take away I’ve ever had

I'm going here for the best Fish & Chips in the town. They make it unbelievably good. For just £5 you get a large (really large) portion and it taste unbelievably good ;) also very nice staff and quick service. I'm going there for 8 years now ;) if I want to eat a Fish & Chips. I recommend it a lot.

Food ok from this chippy for lunch and if you catch freshly cooked for tea. Staff are friendly and polite. Near to my work place so it’s handy

Found this place purely by accident after a night out and the Salt and pepper chips are the best I've had, they are lovely and crispy and not too spicy, perfect, just perfect!! You have yourselves a new regular customer!! 😊

Would agree with many recent reviews that standards have dropped since the new owners came onboard , portions definitely smaller and fish / chips not always as fresh as they were in the past but it is still better than most

I could smell the chippy from my workplace and it enticed me to pop over for a bag of chips. I was not disappointed they were lovely.

Not impressed with my meal, ordered chicken and noodle soup with my meal, it contained no chicken and had black carrot, ever since the new take over it has dropped in standards, thank you to your poor food I know have food poisoning I have informed trading standards they have asked for a sample of the food we had

For years this was always my stop off on the way home from a night of drinking in town. No longer run by Mike and Martha and you can tell. How can you have a chippy and serve rubbish chips. Won't be going again.

Love this place - can usually park at the front, open all ours, food is hot and fresh and the staff are efficient. Portions are generous and the chips are good.

We have used this chippy twice a week for the past few years since Mike & Martha have retired, the prices have gone up and the portion sizes have reduced my chicken foo yung has mainly onion in it hardly any chicken and the same goes for my Hubby's chicken fried rice! A bag of chips is now half the size and the new owner gets stroppy when you point this out! Well no more our £20 a week will be spent elsewhere.

Was going to go for a meal before a rugby match but didn't leave enough time, saw how many people had fish and chips so followed the crowd. What a good decision we had two fish with one chips and they put it in two trays for us £7.90 it was lovely, flakey white fish and love dos of chips. The selection you could choose from was vast with spring rolls and burgers.

Foods great and staff are lovely and helpful. Always going here after i get off the train from a night out.

God I remember this place from many a night out in town. Chips n Gravy are fab, just what's needed after a few beers. Staff are friendly and efficient. Enough said.

This fab chippy has rapidly gone downhill since Mike n Martha retired 2 months ago! The new owner needs to get this sorted before long and stop speaking to his staff rudely! I have used this chippy for nearly 30 years at least once a fortnight will give it 1 last chance before giving up on it.

love this place, the chicken omelette is the best, loads of onions just how i like it, mike and martha are always happily chatting to their regulars and it makes it a nice place to come

I've been a regular customer for the past 20 years and I'm yet to find better elsewhere.You should definitely give the special fried rice s try, it comes with a fried egg on top and you can even have gravy on it... this might sound like a strange combination but believe me, it's amazing.Mike and Martha are lovely people too.

I have gone in at different times and ordered English or Chinese dishes, they are always consistently good. exactly what you want from your local chippy.

Lovely F & C,s cooked to perfection and a really decent price. Also a great choice of Chinese food again cooked to a very good standard. Well worth a visit when in the area.

I decided to grab some fish and chips from here when the traffic was gridlocked around Warrington due to an M6 closure owing to a chemical spill last Friday evening, The location is convenient being almost right next to Central Station and not far from my workplace, however I normally drive to work so do not pass Central Station and this chippy, For £5 I was able to enjoy proper old-fashioned cod and chips in batter; the way I used to like things at my local in Plymouth. Only slight criticism (but certainly not unique to this place) is wanting extra just for a weedy sachet of ketchup! The staff seemed very chatty and weren't at all surprised to hear that the M6 had been shut due to an accident yet again (!)I would recommend Mike and Martha's to anyone passing by who may be a bit peckish! Maybe next time I'll check out some of their Chinese dishes!

This is a proper Northern style Fish and chip shop that also does chinese meals, but I went there to try the English assortment the burger in batter was a good meal to have after a night out drinking around Warrington they also sell Spam fritters a favorite of mine.
