Dragon City in Warrington

Been going here for numerous years, last week we ordered mixed meat dishes with a sauce (3 meals so 3 different sauces) all sauces thin like water but had a granule texture like the sauce was rushed and not thickened. Tonight the chips were vile. Dried up and shrivelled chippings. No consistency in the food recently.

Friendly staff and good value food.

It is not to much bother for them to cook you a fresh fish even though there are some that wasn't cooked to long before you put your order in.. this s areally friendly family run chippy..

Best Chinese I’ve ever been to. Been coming here for a year (we live next door lol) and they’ve never disappointed! Usually get sweet and sour pork with egg fried rice and seaweed, and salt and pepper chips with salt and pepper tofu.

We have made Dragon City our preferred take away and we are from the far side of Lymm, so it's not really local to or us. Last night we ordered Chicken chow mein Duck in plum sauce and duck fried rice Salt and pepper chicken balls and special dried rice All 3 meals were fabulous and we could highly recommendDragon City. These are BIG portions too. The fact we pass other places and we are a 20 min ride away tells you how impressed we are. If ever anything was wrong we would tell these people so they could correct it ...but up to now FIVE STARS

Food was terrible never go again, one good thing came of this we found Yang's just up the road big portions, ribs are out of those world

Food was ok, nothing special about the special curry i had, staff were pleasant enough though. may try some where else next time , defo room for improvement.

Funny taste to chips. Loads of ends too. Paid £3.50 got about £1 worth

Place is a dump - filthy rat invested place. Stay away - you not seen the kitchen or out the back...... place should be closed down. Walked in walked out.....

Forgot to add my curry sauce and then told me I had to pay extra for my curry sauce

Hands down best chippy in latchford! Can guarantee I'll be there once a week at least 🤣 massive portions, food is stunning and all reasonably priced!

I think this has the best and most authentic tasting Cantonese food in South Warrington. Staff are friendly and the prices are great.

This take away used to be lovely, now the place looks grubby and tired. The meal we had yesterday was terrible, special chow mein, NOTHING IN IT! No mushrooms, two pieces of three different types of meat... Served with BURNT chips. Waste if money. Won't be coming again!!

Meal was tasty and portion was very large. Only issue I had was with the shrimps, they were not done.

Lovely meal tonight except Bbq ribs.Sauce changed and was horrible and ribs overcooked PLEASE bring back your original sauce..Ribs ended up in bin .Previous recipe was lovely

Good food and easy to talk to always serve with a smile

My goto place for 20+ years not anymore its gone downhill fast . Everything is getting sourced cheaper and low low quality. Ribs are a disgrace. And MSG shoveled in quantity also dropped. I've rang and asked them to make it better but ignored or told all dishes are always made same quantity same quality,not anymore I've just told the wife we're not ordering again even if they give it away.

This place used to be good years ago, went tonight was not impressed!! Worst meal I have ever had, ribs were all bone, salt n Pepper wings were powdery n like they was re heated, chips was definitely reheated!!! Noodles was dry n hard,, Waste of money all gone in the bin, nicest item was the prawn crackers, won't be going again.

What a shame. Ordered three trays of ribs and received around six or seven tiny nubs of meat and gristle (almost like they'd cut the ribs in half). Tasted great but really disappointing portion size. There are lots of options in the area that have great portions and taste.

They still do some old favourites, not on the menu. Ask for scollops (battered potatoes).

Best Chinese food in Warrington!

I’ve used Dragon City for over 30 years, last 2 visits we’ve walked away with reheated chips. This place has happily taken the custom and money from Warrington families for years but has rapidly gone down hill since the family tried to sell the business. Surly a business that’s traded for so long can’t be that hard up they now need to start reheating chips left over from lunch. You only have yourselves to blame if the business is failing and you lose customers due to treating them like fools.

Our usual was closed. Maybe this could be our usual from now on. Food absolutely spot on.

Best salt and pepper chicken in warrington

One of the best Chinese I’ve had, really light, tasty and every dish actually tasted different to one another. The portions were huge too and great value for money. They were very quick to make the order and the staff were very friendly. I would really recommend the mixed vegetables stir fry, the crisp chilli beef and cod in ginger and spring onion.

Dragon city is an excellent place for eating, they do great English as well as Chinese food, happy family run place, please wear your mask in this covid world protect them as they protect us and serve us excellent food.

just ordered sweet and sour chicken.. probably the best I've had, chicken was so tender with crispy batter.. sause was sticky and really tasty , I find many chinise use far 2 much onions and peppers. this was just perfect. well defo be using dragon city again 10/10

Really nice food cooked to order.

This is the worst Chineese meal I have ever had.The salt and pepper chicken wings were very soggy and greasy ,salt and pepper chips were awful greasy with onions and a few peppers and chillies chucked on top .No black pepper sauce so went for hot bean sauce which was not very hot and watery .Thet were willingly offering reheated chips only when I questioned if they were reheats they then offered to cook fresh chips. I will be giving this one a swerve the next time i am in the area.

We visited Dragon City between Christmas and New Year for a meal for 6. The place looked very clean,staff were presentable and very friendly and the food was very good quality and a very reasonable price. Would definitely go back and recommend this Chinese.

This is a brilliant chippie. I drive for 15 minutes and pass three others to get here, but it's worth it. OK you may wait 5 minutes longer here than in other places. That's because the food is cooked fresh. Not kept on hot plates drying out for hours. The portions are huge and the staff are very friendly and polite. Try it. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
