On a positive note the food was good any the price was really cheap 1 starter, 3 mains , 5 drinks £54. The place itself is very tired, chipped plates, plates that should be white have discoloured over time. We waited an hour for our mains ( the starter was to come out with the mains). 1 member of staff was quite abrupt, so I thought. Watching him work.. seems it was just his way. Personally I didn’t like it. Place was full and the phone didn’t stop ringing for takeaway.

Excellent food. Wonderful tikka and prawns. Fresh salad. Good value for money. If being very critical bit too many onions in curry and the lamb was a bit chewy. But the food is delicious. My new Bridgnorth curry house!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

So I turned up to a completely empty restaurant, the first question was “Have you booked “. Once I said no, he said “well we’re fully booked “. No you weren’t, I walked by an hour later and it was still almost empty.

A short to the point review. I absolutely love this place. We travel from our local village, which has several Indian restaurants to visit. The food is superb and great value for money with a great team working there. I had my own personal hot sauce made for me on our last visit. And hot it was absolutely superb. You'll be hard pushed to find better !

We came here for dinner over new year. Food was tasty and well priced. The only reason for not having top marks is the decor/ambience not great and the staff were a bit grumpy (especially the man behind the bar not the server). No smiles.

I got recommended this restaurant as a good place to get take aways. (It's fantastic for eating in as well by the way, but quite a small cosy place so maybe harder to book sometimes). The food is always really lovely. I often have a Mango Chilli massala which is one of the main dishes this place seems to be known for. The sweetness and spicyness both combine to make a seriously tasty dish. The other day I was fancying something a bit less spicy so I had the chicken exotica. Pineapple and Fried Banana in a Mango and Coconut sauce. The chicken was beautifully cooked and spiced, and the sauce offererd a lovely sweet kick, which, when paired with a chilli cheese naan (not as spicy as the mango chilli) and a nice special fried rice made for an absolutely lovely meal. Spot on guys!

This place is a popular choice for our family and we’ve had some great evenings in the restaurant and the food is usually very good, our only grip was that for our recent takeaway we paid the extra cost associated with the king prawn dishes, but found they had too few prawns in them!

Wow. We visited Bridgnorth for the week and after reviewing trip advisor we decided to go to Eurasia for a midweek meal. On the way our taxi driver told us we had made a mistake and should go to Saros.Regardless, as the table was booked - I ordered a Pathia (Madras Hot) and my boyfriend ordered a Jal Frezi. We were disappointed. My meal was like warmed up Tomato Pure and his has no spice! We decided to visit Saros a few days later. 10/10.I ordered a Jal Frezi, my boyfriend ordered the Saros Chili Masala (madras hot, lamb tika). We are sat here thinking, we could eat that again! It was unreal and we love our Indian food.Would definitely recommend!!It seems like Eurasia is known for its name but honestly, if your going to pick an Indian restaurant we would choose Saros.

I've often walked passed Saros while out with the dog and wondered what the food might be like ... and now I know. It's a very small place which is fine, and feels quite intimate. Another plus is that drinks are very reasonably priced.Tikka Massala = bits of red coloured chicken in what I can only describe as a very grim looking, bland, sweet tasting brown gravy.Peshwari Nan = just an ordinary nan with honey drizzled over it. No nuts. No fruit. Not a peshwari nan.

My husband and I had an absolutely and unexpectedly delicious yet so simple meal out at Saros on Saturday - we were pleased to get a table without booking - the place is small, unfussy and simple in appearance however the food is in a different league - the chutneys to go with the popadoms was freshly prepared and home made and the mains were succulent tasty and generous. I had a fish and aubergine dish which oozed with flavour and depth and my husband had a tasty lamb Balti - our coconut rice and peshwari Nan were freshly cooked and so tasty - everything about the speed and easy of service was great too . The restaurant was full of large family groups incl children and grandparents , couples and groups of friends - not a rowdy Indian restaurant and no airs and graces either but obviously one so good at delicious authentic Bangladeshi food that’s people return to time and time again , as I definitely would do if I lived here

Had a takeaway last night of a dish I have eaten in the restaurant on more than one occasion and it has always been gorgeous. I would swear it wasn't the same dish. In addition, we ordered 1 garlic naan and 1 keema naan. We got two naans the same even though they were marked as different on the bags, and neither were either! I think it was supposed to be garlic but it just had some unidentifiable herb on what was clearly an ordinary naan and it had no garlic flavour whatsoever. Really disappointed.

We live in the North of England and made a special trip to Bridgnorth to visit this restaurant having been there before (and as it was my Birthday). Well, the service was fairly good and the food tasted fine..............then it went downhill, people came in and sat beside us and the place became very crowded, it seemed that the staff could not handle it! The restaurant is to small and as it was a special occasion we felt as though the staff wanted us out ASAP, I did not even finish my drink! we felt intimidated and paid and left. The Manager never even bothered to apologise as he was aware it was my Birthday AND the whole episode ruined what should have been an enjoyable night out. To add insult to injury, I spent the next day with an upset stomach!

Having been a customer for many, many years my Wife & I truly believe that this is one of, if not the best in the area.Cracking meal again last night but we were saddened to hear about a report from... nameless, (below) which reads... "Poor hospitality, bendy (stale) poppadoms with terrible/bland sauce tray and the worst Paratha bread I've ever had..... Like eating a clay dinner plate, before it gets to the furnace.Over all it was a mixed bag.... they certainly need to work on their customer service and the accompaniments (breads/sauces etc), but the main dishes were all good. We've had far better in Bridgnorth (which probably explains why those others were fully booked on New Years Eve, yet Saros wasn't...)Visited December 2015"The reason I hi-light this report is the fact that (quite coincidentally,) my Wife and I remember this group of three. We actually had the great misfortune to be sitting right next to them on the evening in question. It actually spoiled our new years eve meal. These folk, the Gent sitting on the one side of the table in particular, were, and I'm being kind here, noisy, unkempt, rude and full of ****. Did we really want to listen to your ramblings regarding, for instance, your income, how much you survive on, your mates mortgage... blah and blah! The restaurant was not yet full. It was 6:30 in the evening! Attempt to obtain a table at 9pm... no chance! So. Yes we are supportive, yes we are local but it's simply because it's a well run, passionate enterprise that I decided to put keyboard to screen. All the staff drive from Birmingham and back six evenings a week in all weathers to offer us the chance of sampling this cuisine.Give 'em a chance folks! You will not regret it.

WOW - what a great dish - im a long time regular at Saros but felt I had to send it a review of a recent dish. Yesterday I ordered the Salmon Roshani - which they made vindaloo hot for me as I prefer spicy dishes. This is a fantastic curry and I cannot recommend it highly enough. big pieces of salmon fillet which have been lightly fried leaving them a little cruncy on the outside and beautifully pink inside. Combined with a tomato/onion based sauce which features a massive amount of roasted garlic - the taste is not overpowering as you might think - the garlic has been slow cooked for a long time and all of its pungency has gone leaving a super rich sweet garlic sauce which is devine with the salmon. You must try it - a revelation.

Good food in a friendly, comfortable restaurant. This restaurant's main strength is its interesting menu - it includes a very good range of vegetarian and fish options.Definitely worth a visit if you would like to try salmon tikka as an alternative to the usual chicken tikka.

Having lived in Bridgnorth most of my life & growing up in the town, Saros is by far the best curry restaurant having eaten at every other one. Go for the tamarind balti!

We love Saros! We visited here after a dreadful experience -yet again- at nearby Peepos who decided to stop serving at 9.30 on a Friday night. The staff were so welcoming and genuine. It's always a good idea to have the specials as they are unique. Archari saktoga is possibly the loveliest curry I have ever tasted. Citrusy and fresh. We also had a delicious tawa and a C T M which were good. Very flexible staff as we didn't want to over order and they were very happy with lots of sharing etc. pashwari naan dripping in honey.....wonderful. So pleased Peepos is so short sighted....we had a really tasty, quick light meal and probably spent far less to boot. Bravo.

Called in one Sunday evening - restaurant was quite busy but we got the last available table. Had an excellent fish & vegetarian meal. Staff were friendly and informal. Service was quick and efficient. Prices were very reasonable. Well worth a return trip !!

The meals at Saros vary from excellent to awful. I prefer mild dishes, Korma being my favourite, this however is the worst Korma i've ever tasted! It was very watery tasteless sauce, almost soup like, and not much chicken! However on the upside, i have to say the Salmon Tikka is superb. Saros is just a little too inconsistent for us, in future we'll stick to where we know we always get a good meal.

We went to Saros after reading the reviews on here. How wrong I was. Based on my experience (which is all I can base my opinion on) I could not recommend here. The service was very very slow, even with only a few tables it took an hour for the starters to arrive. The whole meal took 2 1/2 hours which for what is a basic curry house is unforgivable. Out of the starters we had 4 between us two were poor one tasted like it had been defrosted and was powdery in texture (maybe it had been in the freezer too long) and the other just may as well have been puree garlic. Of the mains one ( the vegetarian option was actually ok however the other 3 were watery ( suspecting frozen again), devoid of flavour and not cheap. The naan bread was very good but the rice was like pudding. Having been an avid curry fan all my life this is a place I would avoid like the plague. Dont be fooled by the pictures on the website as they bear no relationship to what you will see there. The place is literally a converted outhouse, a lot of photoshop on the go here me thinks. A must to avoid.

We tried here as casa ruis decided we were too late for our table so on a recommendation we tried this very quite restaurant! On arrival there were no other customers so slightly worried we still sat and ordered our food for five people (one a 7 year old!)The staff were friendly and they were great in helping us choose our dishes! The food is the best Indian food in Bridgnorth, we've tried blue ginger, punjabi terrace and euraser and this was the most tasty and value for money! We had starters give mains rices chips naans and drinks and it came to £80 Bargin!!!!Will be going again

Parking was impossible, so got all stressed out searching and had to park on sainsburys! Drinks service was very slow - we would have bought more drinks if they had arrived quicker. However, the food service was quick and the food was superb, generous portions and very tasty. After the parking and slow drinks believe me I was looking to criticise but no, all compliments to the chef - I will definitely be returning and recommending this little gem.

Tried Saros recently after reading some of the rave reviews. We found it a bit average from what we were expecting. 4th on TripAdvisor for bridgnorth and the highest curry house left us a little disappointed. Not the best curry we have ever had but certainly not the worst.I had the vindaloo and found it quite salty. My partner had tikka massala and it didn't really taste of much. We would go back but maybe try a special as I don't think we picked the house specialities.

An absolute gem in the mix of the many traditional pubs of this sleepy market town. Individual dishes to suit all tastes with a warm welcoming team to make your visit relaxed and attentive. Always on our 'to do' list when visiting from Cardiff. Highly recommended.

This small, apparently unassuming restaurant hidden away on Moat Street, is a real gem. If the outside fails to impress the welcome more than makes up. The menu is not pages of dish after dish, but is a thoughtful array of dishes that are created and served rather than thrown together as part of mass catering. The advice from the staff is very good and for me the lamb tamarind balti is excellent; my choice on the two visits made. It is so pleasant to enjoy the food not covered with thick sauces and to be able to taste the real flavor of the spices. The accompaniments just add to the experience. In the two visits we made as visitors it was apparent that many of the other diners were local people who regularly used the restaurant. A good barometer of any eating place. Thoroughly recommended!

Great food and portion sizes. Lovely service and atmosphere. Staying at Darwin’s Townhouse next door and thought we’d go here for our dinner and we both have no regrets. Definitely recommend.
