Sardinia in Thanet

My family had come down to visit me in Broadstairs for my birthday and I had booked for a table of 6 of us for Saturday evening. As a local living at Broadstairs my family and myself have previously been to the restaurant and enjoyed the food. We were looking forward to the experience bit unfortunately on our arrival at the restaurant I was told by a member of staff that I had not made a booking and couldn’t have done so as they had not record. I then showed them proof and details of the call I had made to the restaurant on my phone when I had booked. My daughter showed them a text to her that I had sent immediately after booking . Despite this the member of staff told me I must be lying and could not have made a booking. The whole experience was extremely distressing and we all felt let down and quite honestly horrified by the way that we were treated. As a result I shall never be eating at This restaurant again.

Have now been to this restaurant three times and each time has been a wonderful culinary experience. On this occasion we ate Calamari Fritte and Garlic Doughballs for starters. The main event was Risotto Primavera, which had a beautifully freshness about it, and one of the special dishes Pan Fried Skate Wing which couldn't be faulted. It was the best prepared Skate that I have eaten in twenty years of coming to this area. It's great to try fresh fish when you are by the coast and the Skate definitely exceeded expectations. Friendly and attentive service. Really need to book a table because the Sardinia Restaurant is very popular. Sorry no photos we were too busy enjoying the food.

Great food , great atmosphere although acoustics make it quite noisy. The menu choices were really good & reasonably priced. My ravioli dish was so yummy.

We went for dinner The service was excellent, the food was good, there is a great feel to the place with a nice ambiance. You feel very relaxed here. My only point would be they have the tables jammed in a little.

Fabulous Italian resturant - went on a Saturday night, made sure to book as was busy. We stayed at Royal Albion hotel opposite. Cocktails were amazing and staff. The food was amazing and so fresh and home made. Cannot recommend enough especially meatball starter. Great portion sizes too. Lovely atmosphere. Cannot wait return in summer hopefully.

We went here for a wedding anniversary meal, at lunchtime, on Saturday Feb 17th and we were very impressed. The ambiance was pleasing, the food excellent and the waiting staff very friendly. Well recommended. Bob and Debbie. 😊

Much improved since my last visit, admittedly over five years ago, in ambience, service and food, still standard Italian fare but with some flair, especially the specials. Seats are comfortable too! Vegetarian if you choose carefully. Recommended starter baked (small) portobello mushroom and spinach in Gorgonzola and mozzarella sauce, main lobster and salmon ravioli in creamy tomato sauce with touch of chilli, pudding tiramisu and a properly served affogato. More of a beer place but wine reasonably priced. Price £300 for seven, only two alcoholic drinks.

Sardinia has never failed in any way. All the time I come here is getting better. The food taste good as always and the service on top, with the staff ready to serve with smile and care.

Have been here a few times now and it doesn't disappoint from the service to the food it is lovely. Will be returning again and again.

First class all round. An excellent restaurant in a central position that is clearly very popular. The staff were friendly and attentive and each of the 3 courses we had was well cooked and presented. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Friends (couples) get-together: Just to name one persons meal… Starter: “Meatballs” Boiling hot meatballs covered in lots of cheese to detract away from being Very bland and cheap, tasteless meat. Main: “Cod & Mussels in white wine sauce with roasted tomatoes” The fish and mussels arrived swimming in a bland tomato sauce!! Very disappointing after it had said it will be in a white wine sauce which is normally a white sauce and definitely more fitting to mussels!! Dessert: Affogato. Supposed to be just an espresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in it. It was served covered thickly (and sickly) in lots of whipped cream and a biscotti stuck in it. The espresso was cold by the time it had arrived! What a waste! The waitress supposed to empty our table and take the plates one by one (as normally well trained waitresses do) after we had finished our mains. Instead she took all our plates and piled them on top of each other on the table to walk away with a mountain of plates at once. Leftover food squishing and dripping out on the sides of the plates. Disgusting. Needles to say, we will not be eating here again!

Best night out, me and my love tried this restaurant for first time and turned to be a brilliant place. The fish dishes were fantastic. Thank you for the good evening.

Had a lovely night at the sardinia using the gift vouchers given to us for our wedding gift. The restaurant was full on a Wednesday night It was a little loud but did not bother us at all, we received excellent service from friendly helpful staff. We had lovely meal both of us enjoyed our menu choices. We also had house white wine ,which was very nice. Could not fault anything great night great food and reasonable price. We will both visit again! What a great asset for Broadstairs.

We was lucky get a table as it was full, and was thursday night. Never seen a place full on thursday night. We order and the drinks comes in our table before we finished the food order, it was fast. We loved everything, food, drinks and service all top level. Definitely we will be back and we will book before.

I just had to revisit this place, it is a bit expensive but I love their food and the staff are lovely too.

This restaurant serves delicious meals, the cocktails are really good and the service is impeccable. It’s great value for such freshly made food. Highly recommend. Will definitely be going back soon!
