Good Turkish food - good for grills It gets busy at dinner times with families and friend groups which probably is the best way to enjoy this place.The bread is delicious.Quite a few vegetarian dishes but suggest you ask for the Tomato gravy on the side and add to your taste.Good Job

Stopped here to pick up some food on a long drive home. Lovely, friendly staff, who even offered me a cup of tea while I waited for my order. We had a mixed wrap and a lahmacun. It was hands down the best takeaway Turkish food we have ever eaten and the portions were really big, excellent value for money. We will be back! Thank you

Had the lambshank stew and the turkish coffee, followed with salad and turkish tea. Lambshank stew was very very salty; otherwise a good meal - the bread/nan was fresh and the turkish coffee was brilliant. Also good selection of sauces.

When we went there we were told it's under new management - it's the first time we went so can't provide comparison to last time but our experience was very pleasant. The food was really nice and reasonably priced, chicken and lamb really succulent and tender and the prawns and liver starters were yummy. Staff were very pleasant and I would definitely return.

Wondered into this place after not getting a table at Sahara Grill. Pleasantly surprised with the food especially on a busy Valentines evening. Ordered the full mixed platter, lamb pide, spinach pide and lahmachun. Will definitely come to visit again!

This restaurant has recently been refurbished to a good standard. It is very clean with welcoming staff. We ordered a mixed platter for 2 for £23 to takeaway. The food was cooked fresh to order and while we waited we enjoyed a Turkish tea. When we got it home we were surprised at the amount of food we had been given and the great quality of it. I will definitely be going back next time we want takeaway.

I was very impressed and very pleased as it was our first visit. We decided to try it out as we live around the corner and every time we pass by, the delicious smell of the grilled meat makes you hungry. The service was fast and efficient; the food was out of this world, we chose the share platter for 5 people but started with a Turkish pizza with garlic sausage, probably the best pizza I have ever eaten in London. All ingredients were so fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend it as so far it's the best Turkish restaurant we tried since our holidays in Marmaris. The price are reasonable.

Came here with about 20+ family members for a 30th birthday meal. Organised everything a few days before with the manager Remzi. The service from staff was great. We had our allocated tables reserved for us. The food was really nice and served nicely. Special thanks to Volkan for his assistance on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly.

I went for lunch with some of my Friends, really liked the place and food was lovely too.The person serving us was quite friendly.

There used to be a restaurant called Sahaans local to us, it used to be where I'd always go for some hearty Turkish food. But that place closed down and now this one's open, and it's now my new go to spot for Turkish.

This was the first time me and a group of friends came here. I only booked this place because it had good reviews and the better restaurants down the road were fully booked. When we got to the restaurant, we were told that there was no booking under my name. This was defiantly a mistake on their part because I confirmed the location before reserving and showed them their number at the time of me making the call. The manager then proceeded to squeeze in an extra table to sit us down. We waited a good couple of minutes to get any waiters attention to ask for the menu. After 10 mins the usual complimentary items arrived (bread and salad) our mains arrived 40 mins later, 5 mins later our starters finally arrived and that to after complaining about the delay. The food itself was ok, not that great compared to other Turkish restaurants that I've had in the past and defiantly not worth the money for such a small portion. We waited another couple of minutes to get the waiters attention to ask for the bill, when we finally did get her attention she rolled her eyes and walked off to another table.

We went for my boyfriends meal in March there were 10 of us, they allowed me to reserve a table with no problem and drop a cake off with no silly extra charges like other places where I enquired. The food was great they brought us complimentary shots and made a big fuss when the cake got brought out. The food was really great and the drinks were flowing. I loved it and will be booking for my birthday in two weeks time! Great friendly service too!

Visited with friends on Saturday evening. The restaurant was about half full. Staff were were very poor and slow. Couldn't quite grasp our relatively simple order. Service was appalling, with starters and mains arriving at various times. Food was good without being great. I had falafel and hummus starter; falafel was bland and flowery. Home made hummus was nice. I had lamb shishlik for mains. Served with rice and couscous; 2 carbs, no veg! Tasty but over spiced.

We had the liver to start which was grilled nicely. Not over cooked and hot. Took only about 10 mins to come out after we had polished off the free salad and bread

Descent Turkish food however it was ruined for us by ignorant waiters. We have to put our hand in the air like a school child to get someone's attention. We wanted a take away on our food and usually all restaurants pack it for you however this place gave us 2 take away containers and a bag. Portion sizes were ok however other Turkish places give a lot more. There is an amazing Turkish restaurant just a minute away from here.

Sofrasi offers a decent selection of set menu for lunch on weekdays. Their Veg. Moussaka was amazing and you get a starter and a drink. I'd highly recommend this set menu, if you can have a lunch on weekdays even though the options are limited.

Good location and great quality grilled food. Big portions and very tasty. We went at lunchtime and had a lovely experience and enjoyed the meal. Slightly expensive but it's London... Well worth visiting.

Visited this restaurant with family for lunch. Friendly, helpful staff. A good menu with plenty of choices. The food was freshly cooked. Food and drinks for four persons £16 per person, which I thought was good value. We will return.

Not too sure why this place has great reviews. I love Turkish food. I was visiting a friend in this area and we chose this restaurant over others in the area due to its reviews. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. We only ordered a main...and I had a vegetable kebab. So no meat. Way too long to wait for food. When it came, the sauce was more oil than anything and the menu stated my dish came with salad and instead, I had two types of rice on my plate. Both of which were clumped together and oily. I then waited another 10 minutes for a glass of water. I ate minimal amounts due to hunger! but needless to say we won't be returning. It wasn't authentic at all and although my meal was veggie, flavour would've been nice.

We pop in here for a quick bite whenever in the area and never regret it: the staff are pleasant & friendly, the food is consistently good - fresh, tasty & plentiful - and we always leave with a nice, warm glow. A little gem.

We visited on the 22nd of December. Telephoned and made a booking but we were unconvinced as we got monosybilic responses. On arrival there was no booking. This was the only downside to our evening. Really if you want customers to make a booking then someone has to speak English and take the booking. It was the busy Christmas party season and a tzble was found for us. The food was very nice and reasonably priced. The service was very very good and we were made to feel welcome. Throughly enjoyed our evening and will be back. Made an order online food arrived cold

Visited on Tuesday 20th december with a friend. My Friend had the mixed lamb and chicken shish. I had chicken shish. No starter as lovely fresh bread and salad given always at start fills us up. Chicken was moist and delicious accompanied by both rice and large tasty couscous & further thin crispy bread and salad. I didnt think to take a pic..not like me!! But suffice to say our plates of food were extremely appealing, piping hot and delicious. We were possibly going to choose a dessert but suddenly they gave us a free tasty small cake soaked in syrup that was best ive tasted and home made..and later a small baklava each also free! What a nice gesture. This is my second visit previous one a few months ago and both times i would say this is the best chicken kebab ive had..moist, not over cooked, hot and plenty of it. Yum ☺. only one downside. Its a large restaurant and we were cold all the time..my friend had to cover up wuth a scarf and i was mad id left mine behind! so they need to either up the heating or turn off the air con at this time of year. Thats why i gave 4 instead of 5 stars.

People can't even speak English! They overcharged us and placed the wrong order, gave us something different, the man in charge didn't even care we asked for platter for 2 and he gave us 3-4 which we had to pay £8 extra! Food was rubbish, never going back here again. Don't bother wasting your money and go to other restaurants near by which have better hospitality and have people who speak English! One of the worst Turkish restaurants I've been to and awful customer service

we went to this place first time and it was amazing The waiters the waitresses were very friendly the food was fresh I had the A chicken kebab it was one of the best kebabs I had a long time

Thought we should try new place for a change and we loved it. Lamb kofta was so deliciously tender, and must have at this place. Even the olives which we order as starts were really nice and different then usual. Traditional authentic place which definitely will give all near by restaurants run for their money. Loved it and will be visiting it regularly.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon whilst they had a private party but the staff were very accommodating. The food tasted fresh and it was very reasonably priced. Would definitely come again

What a terrible place.. We bought this maze deal through Groupon. From the minute we walk into this place we knew it was a big con.

Went today. The service was so-so. The waiters and waitresses kept going to the part of the restaurant where there wasn't anyone sitting which was frustrating as I couldn't get their attention. The bread was a little tough and the food was very average for the price. I won't go back as the food was too average. For good Turkish food I think I will go to Edmonton or Wood Green in the future.

We bought a meze deal on groupon. What a waste of money! £19 plus a service charge of nearly £5. We got only a few very small dishes. No bread. We had to pay extra for that. And when we got there they didnt even know about their own groupon. They didnt care about us and obviously paid more attention to their other regular customers. They brought us the food without even asking us for drinks. We looked at the menu - huge prices for unfortunately not so tasty food. Will never go back.

Visited last night. A nice welcome. Good service and when we needed anything it was brought immediately and with a smile. Really got impression staff are happy in their work , so important as it emenates thru to the customers. We didnt have starters as the bread and salad and yogurt and chilli dressings fill us up with the mains, but the peeps next to us starters looked good and thy were happy. Our mains of mixed chicken shish and adana lamb for me and chicken adana for my husband were hot, cooked perfectly and delicious as were the two rices, or rice and bulgar wheat, or whatever it is its tasty! Best chicken shish regarding the texture and cooking and flavour uve had for a long time. Plenty of food. Too full for dessert. House wine 5.25 for 250ml glass about right and was fine. Lots of other wines to choose if wanted. Atmosphere very good..a large restaurant that was 3/4 full most of the time there. Comfy seats. No rush at all which is really nice to relax when eating out. If we had stayed longer there was going to be a dancer and dj (saturdays) so we will be back with our family next time ☺

My husband and I went there for dinner around 7pm and ordered a large Mix grill, we enjoyed the salad, bread and selection of 4 cold and warm meze. The staff were friendly and polite...

We went for a meal as the restaurant is new and had good reviews. The service was superb and the food delicious. The cuisine is mediterranean and cold Meze for starter was excellent. We enjoyed the evening and we will be back.

The wife and I weren't sure where to go for an off-the-cuff meal and plumped to go here over Sultan which we envisioned to be busy. Getting there at 7pm on a Sunday evening we were surprised that it wasn't busier.

I visited this restaurant with my family, there were 4 of us, the waiter who took our main order didn't write down my dish on purpose I'm guessing as he repeated the order back to us and he mentioned my dish when repeating back. When the food came out, only 3 main dishes came out and after waiting 10 minutes, I asked another waiter where my food was. After he checked our order, apparently my dish wasn't on the order even though it was repeated back to us. The other Romainian waitresses just seemed absolutely clueless and couldn't even speak the slightest bit of English. All in all a poor experience, based on my experience I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as there are far better Turkish restaurants out there. I'm not even being over dramatic as I didn't even get to eat anything.

A new restaurant and the food is good and also good value. Staff are friendly and the inside of the restaurant is nice. We have also had a take away from there and the food was plentiful. Definitely worth a visit.

This has got to be one of the worst restaurants I have been to! The service is poor - waited 25 minutes just for bread and still waiting for main course ! I understand it's iftari time but that's no excuse seeing as the table in front had received there main course 20minutes ago!

Proper lachmacun. Thin and crispy (so take note Pasam and Kassaba). Lovely Tea. Grills are ok but the stews are very good. So far they seem to do Cop Shish properly, but everywhere I go Cop shish is done properly for a while then it is not made properly.

Went with a group of our friends. Great venue Everything was good, lots of food...Some leftover. Would recommend. 7 out of 10 in my opinion!

We went there around 4 pm ! No one costumers there and we should waiting 30 min to prepare our food ! When food is coming we been so disappointed small portions , hight prise and wrong order!!!so disappointed at all . Faroz is still my favourite Turkish restaurant !!

We loved this restaurant! So laid back and friendly - a perfect place for a relaxing evening meal without breaking the bank. Staff were friendly and service prompt. Huge portions of nicely seasoned and well cooked food. Nothing fancy but at under £20 for 2, we were more than happy. Ideals for groups and families.

Came here for a late lunch with our 2 year old daughter. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and polite service. Food was excellent. Mixed doner was a very large portion which I couldn't finish and the sharma lamb was very good.

This is the latest Turkish restaurant to open in the Ilford/Gants Hill area. The decor and general ambience of the place is quite good. The food we had was quiet average though. It could have been the dishes we ordered. The service was good though.

We went to this restaurant as its very close to our work place. Ambience was so nice, service was good...but we have issue with the food. Food came cold and we asked the waiter to reheat it. But still totally disappointed with the taste and presentation as they served on chipped plates. Hope they will improve.
