Very good food! All staff are amazing, especially the little lady staff. After refurb there are more options of food. Clean and nice decor!

Half menu items not available. Service next to none, recently in news it employs illegal workers and sleeping on premises. Below minimum wages and treated badly. Manager always siting quietly in corner watching people. Uncomfortable. Food decent and prices reasonable but given treatment of staff and poor service, never again. For once was a buzzing full restaurant now an empty no atmosphere place. Avoid. Go dosa express next door, service no better, but food ok if you local.

They have an offer on at the moment in competition with its rival Dosa Express.. Hence it always looks full now. The food portions are decent, reasonable and well priced. Now the service is the greatest let down. No welcome, not seated, have to seek staff for them to take your order.. item menu questions they are not really helpful. Food takes forever to arrive to your table. Items arrive separate one by one when ready.. not all together. All parties on table eat separate to each other or you get one item and by the time you wait for it accompanying dish the original dish has gone cold. No apologies, no sorry to keep you waiting.. to ask for the bill you literally have to go up front to pay or your bill will not come. Plates not cleared from tables. Never asked if we want drinks or desserts. Half menu items not available so they substitute it without telling you. The food totally worth it. But service is a total flop.

Saraswathy Bavans Wembley. Granted we visited during the August Bank Holiday however having to shout for your food after exactly one hour! Is beyond belief! The manager was off and staff were having a holiday in the kitchen! Not amused! The food was nice and they did cater for Jain requirements which was good. I did mention to the 'so called' manager that the food was nice shame we had to shout for it! The service really let's the place down, otherwise we would have contemplated returning but I doubt we will in the future.

Half of our order arrived and it was only for my partner. Waited quite a exile for my dish to. Staff didn't apologise, I'd say "thank you " and they just ignored me. The women taking out order, at one point, took her mobile phone put to text someone. Later she took her phone out and started a conversation with someone too. Food nice but staff are slow, disorganised, not friendly, no smiles, etc.

This place used to be the best vegetarian restaurant in the area. Unfortunately since a change of management the service and standard has gone down. The food is still tasty - to give them credit - but the utensils, cutlery, plates etc look dirty and tired. The decor needs updating. We complained about the one toilet cubicle they had because there was no toilet seat so women couldn’t really use it. Their excuse was that customers kept breaking the seat - but ultimately it’s their responsibility to address that as having a toilet only comfortably accessibly to men is not the solution!

I am like a regular customer to this place. They used to serve the best veg foods around but when I visited for the last time, I could not believe I was served the worst food in my life. First of all, they made us wait for hours to get our food, second, they charged for an item that wasn’t even served. Third, the food was so bad which I believe that it wasn’t made by the same chef they used to have before. On one food, there was so much salt that we left it . And another item didn’t even had salt at all. And one of the item that we ordered was even worst. It was so bad that i almost puked. I did let them know and the answer was simple “I don’t know may be chef is angry”. We kept it the same way after taking a single bite but there was no sorry or refund or anything. Really disappointed!! Never going back again !

As we stood outside, a man who was going in to collect a takeaway meal said that the food was excellent but the service wasn’t good. We decided to go in. The food and the service were actually both really good. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. We had both the madras and Punjabi thalis and really enjoyed them. A wonderful selection of flavours as well as being excellent value. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Unlike Sarvana Bhavan which has got very commercially right taste, this one is very homely with less spices and fine taste, good for young children and good quality and less crowded compared to Sharvan Bhavan ( on weekends )

Don't waste your time coming here. I came with my family six of us. First we waited 30mins to get a table, than secondly 1 hour maybe more for the food to come. While waiting we didn't receive any apologies. In the end we decided had enough got up left without eating.

After trying out many south indian restaurants, my mum and I tried out this restaurant.. but what a mistake. We ordered a round of drinks, starters, a dosa, wada and noodles. Drinks came on time and so did the wada. Half an hour went by but still no signs of the remaining order. The starter was such a disappointment.. cauliflower florets coated in some poor batter and fried. No taste whatsoever! Horrendous! The waitresses didnt have a clue and were arguing amongst themselves. So I ordered another beer. Halfway through it.. still no signs of remaining order. In spite of telling them that we had a cinema to watch. Finally, I decided to cancel the rest of the order and headed to the manager's desk. No apology and when I asked about an explanation for the delay, he said "no explanation needed, you cancelled the order amd were having beers!" I told him I was having another beer coz there were no signs of the order and he was like, if you would have asked we would have given it. I couldnt believe what he said. He was very very rude and was behaving as if he did us a favour by allowing us to have food in his terrible restaurant! I dont even think he was the manager.. just a dude with no sense of how to treat his customers! There were not many people in the restaurant too and everybody was complaining about the cold food, lack of taste and delay in getting their orders. Serious waste of time and money.. please avoid this at all costs. We left the restaurant dejected and hungry too! And yes.. this is not even SOUTH INDIAN!! ITS SRI LANKAN!!!

South Indian food was genuinely good tasting - we tried a variety of dosa/idli/uthpam etc. North Indian was not that great and a little too spicy. However I had a stomach upset in the night while my husband didn't so not sure about the quality..

Although I am a meat eater, I choose this over any other curry house when I want good Indian food. The food is absolutely mouthwatering, and the owner is a lovely, friendly guy, who remembers you even after a year of not having been in! The staff are amenable and when you're having trouble deciding what to order they ask you what you are looking for and recommend, so I've tried some curries I've never even heard of before and gone back and ordered them again! Furthermore, it's inexpensive - You can spend £15 between 2-3 people and be full and probably have leftovers too. I highly recommend the paneer tikka massala as it is INCREDIBLE. As you can see, I am a fan - discovered it about 3 years ago and every time I've been in, no matter how long it's been, I am greeted with a smile :) The only downfall is the waiting time, but have a beer and your food will be on it's way!

Simple, family friendly restaurant, quick service, friendly staff. Lots of options - have to try their specialty dosa. Poori and Thali were also very tasty, each curry completely different.

This is our favourite restaurant in Wembley. We have been 3 times for the past 3 weeks! Being vegan it is sometimes difficult to find a good south Indian place that has vegan options/dosas. This place does and has so many vegan options. The food is outstanding, the service is top notch and the price is so so reasonable. I would highly recommend this place above all others in Wembley.

Delightful cuisine. With a delightful kick. Came here for the first time with the family. The food was delightful. Had the chilli paneer and paneer tikka as well as the Chinese noodles for starters. Really tasty with a spicy kick. For the mains I had chole poori and family had masala dosa each. Everyone enjoyed the meal. The food was tasty and delicious. The poori was huge. Definitely coming back here. All the food and a few drinks came to under £40 who was very reasonable. Excellent

Very good organic original Taste of Rava Masala Dosa and good value for money. I highly recommend it. it is in a quieter part of Wembly. parking easy. very friendly staff and quick delivery and a very big portion. I look forward to visiting again.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times with my family and the service has been variable and slow at best regardless of how many people are in the restaurant.

Have been several times and always excellent dhosa and bhel poori.

Every thing I have had on the menu is excellent especially the dosa I have had dosa in india and all over the world except for india which is of course great so is this restaurant

Este es un lugar para comer divino asombrosamente realmente maravilloso del sur de India Vegetariana cocina! La manera en que el chef prepara la comida es tan excepcional que puede averiguar cómo hace el Chick Pea curry cremoso y delicioso, así. Tengo este manjar con arroz Biryani de vegetales y un mango lassi. Después tengo un té masala. Para los turistas, yo sugeriría probar compartir diferentes como el Punjabi y thalis del norte de la India. Además de la divina masala dosa, un crujiente de flores chick pea panqueque con patatas condimentadas abundante.

Fuimos a cenar el viernes su. Tardamos 20 minutos en llegar a la toma de nuestra orden y otros 10 minutos para conseguir vasos de agua. Estábamos rodeados de otros clientes que evidentemente estado esperando mucho tiempo para la comida. Nuestras entradas llegaron y fue ínfimo. Durante este tiempo varios otros clientes se quejaron de que sus órdenes estaban equivocados. En lugar de corregir esto, el personal comenzó a discutir de vuelta a los clientes. You wont be dissapointed with their food. Their dosas are amazing, but the thaalis do not have sufficiently tasty options with many of their sabzis best described as Bland, But for stuff like Dosa, Vadas and Snacks it is definitely worth it. This place always have people dining there, never seen it completely empty without customers

Really lovely Dosas, and their Idlis are fantastic too - light and fluffy. Chutneys need a little fine tuning but that's just me nit-picking :)

Visited here recently for a meal. The food was good value for money, cheap and cheerful. The only sour taste was the manager. He was rude to incoming customers as well as existing customers- direct, impolite and lacked communication skills. Even more unprofessional was calling someone over the phone stupid quite loudly. The server was a nice lady who had a smile maybe because it was an opportunity to escape from him behind the bar.

Even though he took his time , we slowly warmed up to the witty manager / head waiter who used to work at Taj Connemara .Impressed with the quality of the dosa / oothappam batter, pooris and the freshness of the ingredients and accompanying chutneys . The Potato bajjis and rasa vadas are worth mentioning too . We will slowly traverse through the rest of the menu before commenting on them.More staff are needed and service needs to be less lackadaisical if they want to give saravana bhavan a run for its money .

Just order channa batura here. Delicious and huge. Fulfils a hungry person. reasonable price and is good place to dine.

Very nice Vegetarian dishes. I myself am a Dhal kinda guy, and it is great here! FYI we found best value nearby parking at High Rd, HA9 6AG!

We visited this place during our visit to wembley when we did not enjoy another restaurant and we were very happy with the food we recieved. We are pure vegetarians and this was a great find as a veg restaurant.

I came here with a mixture of family and friends on a Sunday night and overall I was impressed with the food which was plentiful and tasty, but the service was slow and the waiters were quite rude at times trying to up sell the most expensive options to people. I wouldn't recommend it if is busy or you're rushed for time but a good choice otherwise.

I use to often eat here many years ago. Back then the food was fresh and tasty. Now the staff have no manners, service is slow. The food is awful - extremely spicy, poor quality drinks, dirty plates, cold food was served to me which I was forced to pay for. The waiter at the till was so rude to me!! I will never return to this restaurant. Don't bother with Wembley restaurants, all quality has fallen dramatically as I think all are reducing costs by dishing out low end food.

Welcome may not be great but Idol of Goddess Sara swath is very divine and inviting.Simple but extensive menu like mamma used to make. Excellent value for money.

Went here for lunch recently we have been here a few times in the past. We have only had the South Indian thali which is very very good. They do give way too much rice, you can ask for any refill of dishes which the do oblige. The rasam here is one of the best I have had. I would recommend the thali here for anyone who likes spicy South Indian food and not the usual jalfrezzi, balti madras etc. This place targets Indians and is very authentic

What a joke this place is. Entered venue which was not that busy, about 3 tables were occupied. Were seated very quickly and drinks order was taken. Having looked through the menu, the waiter arrives with our drinks and asks if we are ready to order which we were. We start to order then the waiter promptly tells us that there is no starters available at all!!!!Not even one, we asked why, he just said they had run out. I doubt that very much, more like they were a waiter short OR the microwave had broken. We said in that case, we would go elsewhere and began to leave. He hovered around us, and then gave us a bill for the drinks we ordered which we did not even touch. I told him I was not going to pay for it, as he should have advised us prior to us ordering anything. This guy would not understand this, so just to keep the peace, I paid and left. Will never return!

We had this restaurant cater for our son's 1st birthday party and they turned up 2 hours late. Their staff were dressed like they were pulled out of the ground, they forgot to bring plates, there were no gas burners to keep the food warm. Overall it left a very bad memory of what was supposed to be a special day. I would not advise these people to anyone.

I dined at the restaurant with a friend and chose it primarily because of its reputation for vegetarian food. I ordered spinach with roti, a mix-starter, tea and received a complimentary masala chai. The food quality was terrible. The spinach was green running water, and there is no nutritional value in their starters. I had stomach-ache the whole night! Despite friendly service, I will never visit the restaurant again.

Order was 45 minutes late despite leaving a note on the order for the delivery to be on time!! Spoke to the restaurant 20 minutes after the advised delivery time and the guy on the phone was not interested in speaking to me and just said "driver left long time back" in his poor English and put the phone down. Then 5 minutes later the driver called me and said "where do you live as I can't find number 19" - he was on the wrong road looking for the wrong address!! When I gave him my postcode again he said "ok will be there in 2 minutes", by this time my delivery was 30 minutes late and I had no confidence that the food would arrive. I then called Just Eat and the guy on the phone was helpful and called the restaurant to find out what was going on but was told by the restaurant to call back in 15 minutes!! Absolutely disgusting customer service, neither the the restaurant nor the driver apologised. The guy from Just Eat was very apologetic and advised this issue would be escalated as he had now experienced first hand the poor service this restaurant gives to Just Eat delivery customers. The only good thing from all of this was the food once it had been heated up in the oven as it was lukewarm when it finally arrived. Please avoid ordering from this restaurant!

Staying in Wembley for the weekend and walked past this place. Wasn't sure about the look of it, more fast food/cheap café image than restaurant, but it was full of Indian people eating which seemed a good sign. The following evening (fairly early) we decided to give it a go. Only another couple of tables occupied, all Indians.We both ordered the Punjab Thali's. Service was friendly and fairly efficient. The Thali was excellent. Fourteen! small dishes (pots) plus nan bread, ample vegetable rice and a poppadum. Pots included accompaniments such as chutney, salad, yoghurt etc as well as main courses and deserts, (semolina, yoghurt, gulab jamun etc). A couple weren't too good but most were excellent!Then the big thing, the value. Total cost of Thali meal:- £8.95 (the Madras version was a pound cheaper?!). I know where I'll be eating on my occasional visits to Wembley!

I had to call the restaurant on several occasions, not once did the member of staff apologise and neither did he offer a discount or partial refund.

i went there along with my wife and aunty for the dinner , we ordered tarka dal and aalo gobi along with tandoori rotis..everytime we asked the staff for for our ordered food ,they said 2 minutes..we waited for about 45 mints before the food arrived..and after waiting for so long when we ate the food it was terrible the aalo gobi was a disaster ..dal tarka had more dressing of red chillies than the dal itself..but the major disaster was the tandoori roti ,it was so hard that we could'nt chew it..it was like eating a very hard papodum ..we complaint to the staff about the tandoori roti ,they replied that its tandoori roti so it is hard..i told him i have been eating tandoori roti all my life but never before it was so hard that it couldnt be chewd..after the staff saw that we were not satisfied they said they will replace the roti but to my surprise he said that the next tandoori roti will be equally hard..me and my wife and my aunt left the roti and the food ..when the bill arrived i requested him, atleast can he not charge us for the tandoori rotis .. he saw we have not eaten any rotis..but he said i cant do anything you will have to pay for the full meal..i even spoke to the manager ..even he said the same thing..it was so embarrising for me to take my wife and my aunt to this restraunt..we eat indian food outside almost every week..but this was the worst experince ..i have never seen staff as arrogent and non courtious in any where..the food we ordered was horendous too.i will never ever go there.

In Wembly you can rely on Sarashwathy Bhavans for good South Indian food.Staff are good and helpful.Food is tastier than so called famous chain of Indian restaurant.

This restaurant has turned into a real treat, we are slowly eating out way through this wonderful menu.Staff are happy to talk you through dishes on the menu.The staff are warm, friendly & welcoming, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Service is prompt, food is hot & I look forward to visiting each time I go.There is nothing to fault about this restaurant, but the decor could do with a touch up of paint.Highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered a delivery from this restauraunt at 9:00pm on a Wednesday evening.We were quoted a 30 minute delivery time.Around 40 minutes later we made another call to ask wether the food was still coming.The man on the phone told us the food was in transit. After waiting an hour for the delivery (of 5 dishes) to arrive, we placed another call to the restaurant to enquire about the long wait. The man on the phone told us it 'was not his problem' he also made wild accusations that we were drunk, followed by explaining to us that 'just because you speak English doesn't mean I have to listen'The member of staff was incredibly rude.We waited over double the quoted time for delivery and were not even given the decency of an apology or an explanation.When the food finally arrived the delivery driver was polite and apologetic, the food was ok but based on the service we recieved we would not reccommend this place if it was the last restauraunt on earth.

Great authentic south indian vegetarian cusine at a reasonable price. Everything tastes amazing. Friendly manager. Make sure you check your order if doing a takeaway as they always seem to forget something!

I have visited this place more than 20 times in the past 6 months. What has struck me the most is that the quality of food has not changed at all for the entire duration. The food has been consistently tasty south Indian food. I would highly recommend this place to all south indian food lovers.

I was originally a fan of sarvanaa bhavan but once I had food at this place, I find this place to offer equally tasty south Indian food at a better price. My personal favourites are both the punjabi and South Indian thalis. Reasonable priced at around £8.5 It's yummy and at the same time you get many dishes to dig in

From the moment we stepped into this restaurent, there was no sense of hygene, as there were still leftover scraps lying on the table. The customer service was espesiially poor, as we were rushed into placing our order. However the highlight of this terrible experience, is definitely the lack of ventilation. My family and I were coughing regularly, and we had no choice but to leave as soon as possible. My only wish is that no one should have to go throught this sort of experience.

We went there on a Saturday evening around 8, it was very busy inside, the food is quite chilli despite ordering mild. My partners food arrived 12 min before mine. Although it was very busy and they did seem to be efficient, perhaps just not well coordinated. Would recommend more popular snack dishes like dosa, would not recommend the thali, food in the north Indian thali was too chilli especially the rice, puri felt cold and stale and the curries used the same sauce with different vegetables a real let down.

The foods nice i dont really know about the staff but hey would you care about the staff or the food the atmosphere does let it down at time but like all other restaurants the food ist bad its very tasty.

The waiter was rude beyond belief. Took an age to take the order, deliver the food and then clear our table between courses. It was like he was being forced to serve - and his tone/mannerism was very very rude.The food was below par, tasteless with zero effort - very disappointing.All in all, an awful experience - AVOID at all costs.(If I could give minus stars if I could - with so much competition in the area, why provide such shoddy service/food? Careless attitude deserves nothing but failure)

Were there today for mothers day, excellent food mum loved it. The service was excellent especially the owners personal touch when you place the order is excellent suggests new dishes etc. Overall we enjoyed our mother's day out. I would recommend to anyone its value for money vegetarian food

The food is good here but the service is very slow. It took 45 minutes for a simple order (1 veg curry and 2 rotis) and when I politely asked why it took so long the waiter started arguing rudely that it had been only 15 minutes since we ordered - unbelievable!

Really liked this place. Very attentive polite staff.Served quickly. Had a ghee dosa, which was massive, tasted great and really crisp.A mushroom curry on the side which although was a bit too much - and couldn't get through it, was gorgeous! Will def be going back!

In Wembley you can find many hotels in line like India. At the high road this hotel is located in extream corner but serves great south Indian taste. We had rassam, Rava dosa, medu wada and many more. I always prefer this place whenever I visits Wembley and wanted to eat south indian food.

Very authentic South Indian vegetarian restaurant. We visit very regularly. Good quality food, very friendly staff, good value for money.highly recommended.

Paneer chilli was nice and so was mushroom manchurian. I have tried veg biryani too. I think its value for money. But takeaway is better than eat in. Good location and good service.
