We visited the Sakonis Wembley branch on the evening of November 8th, and we wanted to express our gratitude for the wonderful experience. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and attentive. Even though it wasn’t a particularly busy evening, the entire team made sure to constantly check in on all customers, ensuring that everyone was satisfied and well taken care of. The food was not only delicious but also maintained to a high standard of hygiene. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. We look forward to returning soon!

We had a memorable visit to Sakonis restaurant yesterday, and it was truly a delightful experience. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, all with authentic Indian flavors that really stood out. From the crispy mogo to the sweet baklava and flavorful paneer, every item we tried was delicious. What made the experience even better was the staff—they were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and made us feel so welcome. If you’re looking for a place with great food and excellent service, Sakonis is definitely worth a visit!

Not recommended!! Starter was ok, Manchurian was good(4/5) but it was spicy and some people might not like(I enjoyed) but chilli paneer was too chewy( 2/5). Naan was uncooked and paneer butter masala was bland and very sweet. Service was pathetic, there was no waiter attending to refill water or to take additional order every time. Last but not the least it was too pricy for the taste and service the provide. Atmosphere was good for family if you can compromise with food. There was Jain option so additional one star for it. Not recommended at all.

Great service and food - Falguni was a great host and attended to all our dining requirements. We went for the Buffett for a family birthday.

I think the restaurant is bit expensive compared to the food test but if you want to enjoy a good environment then you can always come.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Sakonis. I made a booking two months in advance for a party of 24, and I followed up multiple times to confirm our reservation for one table. When we arrived, however, they had completely messed up our booking and seated us near the toilets instead of at the table we originally booked. To add insult to injury, they increased the price from £20 per person to £25 without any prior notice. On top of that, a 10% service charge was added, which felt unwarranted given the service we received. I had high expectations, but the lack of organization and communication left me frustrated. I cannot recommend Sakonis based on this experience.

Tried to call the restaurant as the deliveroo app does not let you specify things like mild and edits. On hold for 30 mins, no answer and no way to edit or modify order really poor

Always a busy place, luckily we did not wait for long. Food quality is decent, masala dosa recipe needs some uplifting, it was super blend as it was for 2 yo. Staff is very friendly and Polite. Would like to try their buffet option sometime.

this branch of Sakonis is slam bang in the middle of the shopping hub - so its very very crowded the restaurant itself is big - food is amazing and tasty - majority of the people go for the buffet they offer

So i rang them to place a order at 9pm got told to come collect in 20mins but i got slightly delayed and got there just after 9.35pm get told i cant have my order as they have cashed up. She then says we tried to call you but your phone was busy but thats a lie as wen asked to prove the call they couldnt. Lady then says i am really sorry i was told by management to cash up i said i dnt care who told you prove to me that you tried to call. But then all staff went quite as they no they didnt bother to call and refused my food but i am glad i wont be going there again. My once a month order can be done elsewhere. So many other places on ealing road.

Very bad service and staff was very rude

We recently visited Sakonis and was disappointed by the unwelcoming atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. There was no greeting or acknowledgment, making the entire experience uncomfortable. Hospitality is key to a good dining experience, and this visit left much to be desired. I hope the management can work on creating a more inviting environment for future guests.we went there at 8:30 and the closing time was 9:30 and they were telling us to order quick as the kitchen was closing but there was still one hour left ,so we found it very uncomfortable.

Went there today lunchtime, we decided to do buffet but was disappointed because not enough variety like it used be. Toor. Daal was thick and sweet like syrup. Dhokra where taste less too. Definitely gone downhill.

The dining experience was generally pleasant. I appreciate the delightful meal. The quality of the food was excellent, however, I believe the pricing may be excessive.

We had lunch buffet on Saturday. The starters like samosa, bhajiyas etc were very tasty. However the main course curries had excess tomato flavor. Liked the dessert options of Aamras and Shrikhand.

Went to Sakonis today 13th September 2024. Amazing service by a lady (Forgot her name) she was very nice and A Gentleman as well. I came here after a long time. In fact, coming from Los Angeles, I was excited to get some of the Maruna Bhajia. Have had it previously so many times. This time was disappointing. They were thicker and burned. The sauce was sweet vs lemony. Felt the sauce was stale vs feeling fresh to eat. I left the food as just couldn't eat it. Sighhhhh all good things come to an end. Luckily my wife can cook this at home and is top notch.

Food is great. It's getting expensive. Service isn't always great.

First time visiting and only had time to do a take away. But the interior is nice and modern. Service was excellent, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and the lassi and juice are sweet. Will be going back to try the buffet.

Their buffet is expensive for a weekend price but you get a lot of food with arrays of starters, mains and desserts, eat as much as you like. Everything is well made and tasty. Love their chaats, paneer dishes, dhokla, mogo chips and bhajias. I would suggest them to keep all items ready by the time the buffet is ready. Otherwise, it is easy to miss a few items.

Love the food . Hot &spicy . Fancy indian Street food or traditional ? It's available. Menu has been revamped simple and clean. Ample portion no one will feel hungry afterwards.. just an update for 2023. Still the same good quality food.. only thing me and my partner have found is that the buffet food seems more bland then before,portions have shrunk but prices have gone up.

The food was great we had dahi vada, kachori, chow mein and chole bhature. The ambiance is fine with music. I think they need to improve the service because there was only one guy and he was on the phone with head down and had to wait 10 minutes to get his attention. Definitely visit it again.

The quality of this restaurant has really gone down. It used to be a regular favourite of ours. We went there last Tuesday and order a couple of pani puri's plates, a chat and kachori plate. The pani puris didn't have hardly any filling in it. It was served with pani and green chutney that felt was made ages ago. The 3 dal kachori's that were served didn't have any flavour and were dry, there were served with the same chutneys as Pani puri's. The faluda was extremely sweet with lots of pink syrup in it. Totally disappointed, no wonder it wasn't busy at all. Never going back. The price was expensive but you don't mind paying if the quality is of good value.

Nice clean pure vegetarian restaurant. We had the buffet. So much choice and variety. Good value for money. Only disappointing factor was we were charged a service charge! Wasn't happy about that considering we go get our own food. We ordered nothing else except 2 buffets and 1 passion drink. Service charge was just under £6. Not great.

I recently ordered] via Uber Eats and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The food arrived cold and unappetizing, which was surprising given the relatively short distance between the restaurant and my location. To make matters worse, the items I ordered were burnt, making them inedible and a waste of money. The cold and burnt food was not only a huge letdown but also unacceptable for a restaurant that presumably takes pride in its offerings. I had high expectations based on the menu and previous reviews, but this experience was far from satisfactory. Given the quality of the food I received, I can't recommend ] to others. I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve their food preparation and delivery process to avoid disappointing more customers in the future.

Food delicious. Great variety and great chilli paneer. Only thing is the staff availability. Not enough staff as when we were there this evening, there were only two staff and had to keep chasing our order as they seemed to forget our drinks whilst all the food was served. Overall great food but be prepared to wait for drinks and service.

Been a frequent visitor to Sakoni's and hence thought of sharing our experience of this place. Over the years the buffet items choice & quality has always delighted us. Sakoni's is perhaps the only restaurant chain that offers Indian chaat items in buffet style allowing one to eat as much bhel or dahi bada or shrikhand (as in my case) as one desires. And within the Sakoni's chain, the Wembley (Ealing rd) restaurant is one of the few branches that offers a full buffet range in Indian snacks & chaat items. There may be other chains operating in this space (Indian chaat & snack items as buffet option) but am not aware of the quality & variety as Sakoni's. Overall definitely worth a visit. Though the prices have risen sharply since 2022 (post the energy price rise & inflation) but hoping that with the global energy prices along with UK inflation climbing down, Sakoni's will review their prices too. But till then - enjoy!!

did not like the food at all. very disappointing for the price and reputation. not coming back. naan seemed frozen store brought. chilli paneer was too salty and rubbery. paneer butter masala was very bland and boring. plate size is too big. would expect a lot better for the price but was not. shrikhand was ok. do better.

Buffet breakfast with wide variety of food options. The food was on the spicy side and was not suitable for some people and children. They had less staff so it was a bit difficult to get service when required for live counter options.

What a disappointment! We have previously eaten at Sakonis and the food and service have been acceptable. Last Saturday, accompanied by a couple new to Indian food, we made a late decision to celebrate a wedding anniversary at Sakonis. Despite assurances given over the phone, when booking an hour before arriving, the food that was meant to be mild was most definitely not mild! This was problematic for our friends and they had to leave a lot of it uneaten. A member of staff who served us was chewing furiously while serving! And when the table was fairly full the member of staff, arriving with a new dish, just shrugged shoulders and waited for us to make room rather than help reorganise the table to accommodate the new dish. Even though we made clear that we wanted some dishes as starters, everything arrived together, leaving the table full of plates. The quality of food was not in any way praiseworthy. And the cheek of adding 12.5% on the bill for sevice that was slow, inconsiderate, and quite unsatisfactory. Sakonis is off our list of a possible venue.

It’s not what it used to be. You get cold stuff from buffer when you order from a la carte which is more expensive for you to end up with cold food.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Sakonis. During my recent dinner, I was appalled to discover an unjustified service charge added to my bill. This is outrageous considering it was a buffet, and we served ourselves. Charging a service fee when no service was provided is a blatant rip-off. When I raised this issue while paying the bill, the staff were incredibly unhelpful and rude. Their unfriendly attitude only made the situation worse, showing a complete lack of customer care. This experience has left a very bad impression, and I will definitely not be returning to Sakonis. I advise others to be cautious of hidden charges and poor service at this establishment. So guys make sure you will check your bill and specially service charges in buffet 🙏

Sakoni is a total vegetarian restaurant. The food quality and service is ok...

Sakonis offers Indian vegetarian food with some Indo-Chinese options and is located on Ealing Road, now for quite some time a predominantly Gujarati area of London, with its menu largely reflecting its local customer base. The restaurant is relatively large and this was our second visit in as many months. Last month we were able to walk in and dine without a reservation but this time we had a reservation for the six of us, which was a wise decision because there were queues at times that we observed. While the buffet seemed extremely popular (especially for the soft ice cream!) and our server encouraged us to avail of the buffet, not unsurprisingly, we opted for a la carte - a decision that we did not regret. The Sakonis website is very modern and loads quickly, offering modern and well taken photographs of some of the dishes. The mogo chips were one of the starters that we ordered and were well made, a little crispy around the edges, soft in the middle, with a spicy sauce that was right at the cusp. We also ordered the palak paneer and the paneer butter masala, both of which were excellent. Of the two I would say that the latter was a little more flavoursome - a surprise since I love spinach - perhaps the palak paneer could have been a little more spicy. But the star of the show was surely the bathuras that came with those particular large plates (options also included naan and puri). In fact they were so popular with our group that we ordered an additional four and although they took rather long to arrive, when we compared our fresh, hot bathuras that lingered on the buffet table getting cold, we were sure that we had made the right decision. We also ordered a hakka noodles but that was rather insipid - both in look and taste - although we could see plenty of diners ordering the Indo-Chinese dishes. The masala tea was just alright - not nearly as good as Dishoom's for example, but the inclusion of a Parle G biscuit is a cute touch. Service was great even if the late order of bathuras was rather slow. Ria was particularly helpful. We plan to visit again in the summer.

Had dinner and food and the staff was really good but I just want to recommend them only one change, they need to change the ceiling lamp position because lamp is too low in height. Visited three times this restaurant and This was the second time that a lamp hit my husband's head. Otherwise everything was good.

Good place to eat if you like buffet meals. Variety of food options for dinner menu and items were constantly being replenished. Prices are fair I suppose: £23 pp plus charge service charge of 12.5%.

Came here for my mums birthday on a Saturday. It was very busy so definitely recommend booking a table. We all opted for the buffet which was the most cost efficient option. The food was delicious, I expected a bit more variety with the curries as there was quite a lot of paneer. And more variety needed with desserts too. However it was all really delicious and I would definitely eat here again. The staff were really friendly, service was a bit slow though.

Service was so bad, no one gave us a menu and a waitress came up to ask what we will order. All the waiters took their own time to get the food out, even when we asked for a menu the waiteress walked like she was taking a stroll through the park. Then at the end of our meal we ordered bhatura to go qnd paid the bill. We waited 30min just to get 1 order of batura!! The food tasted good but the 1 dish we ordered, palak paneer, can cold, the paneer was like it glcame out the fridge. So although it tasted good that was super upsetting.
